Wonderful stay with all amenities for me and my adult kids and grandchildren! Rooms very comfortable and clean with good dining options. Something for everyone at buffet’s and the beach is beyond expectations! Pools are comfortable and clean and lots of chairs by pool and beach.

Nice resort to relax or have fun, i love the beach and swimming pools. Restaurants for dining need to improve, food is not that good considering that are specialty dining. Buffet was better.

Had an amazing time at this resort. The staff was so friendly and the place was very clean.

Dining choices were plentiful on the resort .. town was close too . Beautiful property and the ocean was clean and beautiful.

Everything was excellent except dinner

Good hotel in a beautiful bay. The staff are very welcoming. The restaurants and gym seemed somewhat small considering the number of rooms in the hotel. I personally did not like the artificial juices used for lemonades and cocktails - they felt artificial. Good experience overall though!

Second time at this resort. 7 years ago it was amazing this time there has been no up keep , food was awful, the main restaurant was closed for renovations in addition they closed another main restaurant each night. Told no reservations required but the seafood night outside was told we needed reservations and never gave us a chance to make them. Will not be going back or recommending to family and friends again.

Not the newest but the management did an absolutely amazing job to keep everthign up-to-date. Clean, convenient. Entertainment were great. Pool activities daily. Resort app is very helpful. Staffs are so friendly that yreat us like family. I am going back next year. Best place and best services.

Preferred needs to be upgraded… preferred areas are not really worth it. Food is ok but the same every day. “And not Hot” just warm or cold. Don’t think I would stay here again.

We had the preferred club room with a hot tub. While it was too hot outside to use the hot tub the room was perfect and so spacious. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again!

This hotel should name NIGHTMARE. The food is terrible,my wife got sick, my daughter and my self got sick. The poor quality of the food makes this hotel one of the worse hotels of my life. Don’t go to this hotel. Pick Other I guarantee there Are more choiches in Huatulco. If you want to have a very bad vacations go here to Dreams or called Nightmares.

We love this place, the staff on this property are happy employees, that make the traveler happy. Is a quiet place,the hotel is old but well maintained, the beach is probably not safe for small kids.

The food was absolutely terrible!! I have been to many resorts and this one has been the worst food I’ve ever had!!

It’s a nice family resort with excellent amenities, food, drinks and the hospitality of all the employees .

It was just a nice get away. It allowed for us to explore the area and see new places.

From the terrific food to the smiling happy staff ready to help you with whatever you need , this place is a first class resort. They are constantly going out of their way to make things interesting and fun and welcoming. We can’t wait to return!

Friendly and attentive staff and good food

Spring break 2024

Loved our stay here! The staff were amazing, especially the entertainment staff (Neff in particular). Room was comfortable, everything was clean but the resort is showing its age as others have mentioned. The food was mediocre, kind of expected at an all inclusive. Unfortunately we both ended up with upset stomach’s one day but couldn’t pinpoint what caused it. We went at a great time and hardly had issues getting a chair by the pool or beach.

This resort is the best all inclusive I have ever been too. The only issue was if you like to watch a movie there is very little English TV, so if you plan on watching movies take a laptop. Also the WIFI is excellent throughout the resort.

Our trip was all good. It used to be better before it was acquired by Hyatt. Great beach, pools and food. Quality of food is much better than Barcelo (neighboring hotel). In the past they used to be more flexible in late check-out and access to some snacks (ice-creams only from 1pm to 4pm!). Hotel needs a major make-up as it is an old one. Bottom line: I will come back.

Hotel needs to be updated! Walls need painting tiles throughout hotel cracked.

This was our second time staying here. We celebrated our 30th and 40th Anniversary here. We love the staff, clean hotel, food and atmosphere. Not over crowded and fun!!!

Just a great team all around

The view was very nice. The weather was amazing. Drinks flow fast and freely. Food needs improvement.

We stayed for 4 days a group of six. The private beach was fun and beautiful except all of four days we couldn’t find beach chairs available or a place to sit. Same thing with the pools around the property. The resort included 4 pools but again we couldn’t find lounge chairs or place to enjoy a tan or the pools. We inquired about getting extra chairs and the manager said they didn’t have any more. Also, couple of times they run out of beach towels !!!!

Huatulco Dreams was a lovely resort. The a la cart restaurants didn’t require reservations so you could just decide in the moment where to eat. The beach and ocean are the stars of the resort! Excellent resort for relaxation

Great staff. Lovely beach and pools. Delicious food.

After a couple minor bumps along check in ( sticky lock and missing some of the items after a room clean ) we had a great time! The staff fixed the above items immediately and were so helpful. We had great service from all the staff through out the resort with many of the staff remembering our whole party’s names and room numbers despite a very booked resort!

Excellent service in all areas. Extremely friendly people. I’ll definitely go back and recommend it.

Trip with family and friends

When I arrived I had a bad first impression due to the bad functioning of the air conditioning, but they gave me another room and it was solved (under some pression). The hotel is a bit aged but the maintenance is ok. The pools are very good, the beach is literally under the pools and de service is kind, mainly in the thematic restaurants (the Asiatic is the best one). Xochi, Geovanni, Leonel, Diana are amazing.

Anything you wanted or expected, is provided at Dreams Huatulco! Overall an exceptional experience, covering all aspects of a dream vacation.

I would ve loved to have better food varietiesas well as better entertaiment, but over all a good experiecepersonal was very professinal polite and respectful partcularly a the sea side restaurant where we were greeted with a with a great smile an by our name...thank you Fabiola for being such a great hostess Gift shop extremely expensive. But over all a good expirence

Great hotel and accommodations. Felt welcomed and service was great. Food is average and so are drinks but that’s expected with all inclusive.

This hotel has beautiful grounds with 3 infinity pools. What I enjoyed the most was the adult inky pool area. My least favorite area was the food. The meat was tough and not enough dining options.

The space of the hotel is unique. Extremely big, spacious outside and pretty standard rooms. The room I was in needs to be checked, the door did not lock, there were holes at the bottom, like a hotel that hasn't been looked after, just painted over. Something they changed are the rooms, depending on where you are , the "all inclusive" applies or not, so be confident everything will be there. If are not VIP you cannot be on certain places by the beach, no access to a couple of drinks, and overall, the attention goes to premium clients, others do not receive what is expected.

Amazing place, awesome customer service, all staff were attentive, friendly, always helpful, always made us feel comfortable and safe. If you’re celebrating a special occasion don’t forget to mention it at check in Dreams will make it unforgettable!!! Room was beautiful, bed was comfortable, clean, with an amazing crew that always took care of our needs, room had a mini fridge with beers, sodas, water, that were refilled every day and on request. Pools were clean, drinks were delicious, great service, towels clean amazing view to the beach. Food was delicious, with a great variety of Mexican, Italian, Asian restaurants buffets with options of seafood, grilled meat, chicken, chorizo, variety of saladas, fruits and desserts, snacks available 24 hours as well as room service. Dreams also prepared a special night buffet type with a special show. We had the opportunity to attend the Noche Oaxaqueña and Show de Fuego, both were AMAZING!!!! Dreams has a gym an spa that you definitely need to try. We had a 90 minute stress relief couples massage that we loved. You have to pay for the spa services, but worth the pay. It was definitely a great experience, so many things to say, that it would be impossible to write a review adding all the great things. You have to live the experience!!!. Dreams Huatulco really follows their slogan “A PLEASURE TO SERVE” If you go, please don’t forget to tip the staff. All inclusive doesn’t mean you don’t have to tip.

The hotel don’t have enough variety of food and they close 2 restaurants of 3 not many options to choose where to go to eat.

Staff is very friendly. Visit Lucio (El maestro tequilero) for mezcal tasting! Unfortunately, staff is very eager for you to engage on their hotel promotions taking up to three hours of your time.

Just ok hotel, super nice beach

Too expansive for what they offer (food quality, drinks, etc.). Riviera Maya is way cheaper but way better. Thay also charged me more than what the price on Hotels.com said.

Dreams is an older property, we picked it thinking it was the most kid friendly hotel. The kids club was very underwhelming for my 9yr old compared to other hotels. The food was probably the worst at any all inclusive I’ve stayed at. The pool and beaches are nice but seats get gobbled up very early. The staff are most friendly and welcoming. No swim up bar!

Poor Value

The hotel is old and in definate need of an upgrade; most of the food is average at best and I'm confident the mixed drinks are watered down. The cost of the hotel does not align with the low quality. Wont recommend this hotel.

Amazing,Amazing,Amazing! We enjoyed our 10 days at Dreams! The staff was exceptional, The food at all the restaurants was fantastic, the only thing is the buffet could have better options! We shall return. If you want 39 degrees and Sunny every day, Dreams Huatulco is the place to be.

This resort was worth the money spent. Overall my family of 4 enjoyed our stay. I found the resort to be small in comparison to other resorts I've stayed at. For me this is a good thing. There are no golf cart rides required to get from rooms to the beach/restaurants. The amenities (pools/beachfront/restaurants/activities) are sufficient for the amount of people staying at the hotel. Fri - Sun was more busy but the resort did not feel crowded and wait times for Restaurants were not long at the peak times. The pools are large and plentiful (6 in total - 2 adults only) The beach is large as well, with many umbrellas for shade. The food was good for the price of the trip. The variety was good, with many options. Italian, asian, seafood, Mexican, along with a couple buffet areas. The resort overall was very clean. Public rest rooms were in top shape throughout or stay. The rooms are simple but large enough, and are kept very clean. The Entertainment staff were good, and kept the place moving with acivities but were not overbearing. Use the World of Hyatt Inclusive app for schedules, location map, and excusion descriptions, it is helpful. Hotel wifi is great Some things the resort could work on: Transportation to the hotel from the airport was a problem No shuttle Included via expedia booking. Had to arrange our own taxi with little Spanish.Sunwing, westjet had a bus. Skip the Asian restaurant. Buffet layout needs to include a taco station. With all ingedients in one place

Great stay overall!

Had a great stay at this hotel. It’s in need of a bit of a reno but the staff and atmosphere are amazing. Rooms and property kept clean. Lots to do. The one thing I did not like was having to get up around 0700h to “reserve” a chair in the shade by the main pool. The information package on the app says that this is not allowed however it’s not reinforced at all. People reserve with towels first thing in the am and then come back at later times.

The Dreams Hotel is in a beautiful location with lots of amenities available at the Hotel. The Hotel staff are excellent and work hard to take care of your needs. The pools were nice with options to choose between pool or beach sitting areas. Throughout day were activities for families. Food was very good but excellent for dinners at the al la cart restaurants. There was always something happening in the evenings and day excursions are available. I would highly recommend the boat ride and snorkel into the bays. Perhaps the only suggestion for the resort, more for families in mind, was late music playing loudly until 11 PM - perhaps a challenge for some families trying to get their kids to bed. The other comment would be that while the hotel looks to maintain the property and rooms, an update to the rooms is probably due soon. Great vacation and hotel! I would recommend this property for sure!

Just got back from Dreams for 10 days and had a great vacation! Loved the resort and the location. Staff were all so nice but we loved the activities staff! Great water aerobics instructors! Food was overall pretty good but needed more variety as it was the same thing at outdoor (Seaside) every day. Portofino and Asian restaurant were fantastic!

We had trouble with our toilet throughout our 2 weeks. We reported and they tried to repair, but nothing seemed to help. I even had to get dressed and go to the reception area for a bathroom break in the middle of the night twice. Paying this much for a vacation this is not good and I will no longer talk positively about this resort to my colleagues and friends. (I did after last years stay)

We loved everything about the Dreams resort in Huatulco. It was absolutely beautiful, the staff we’re all wonderful, and the food was amazing!

The good…..nice pools and many of them, beach is beautiful, views are wonderful. The bad….the noise level was so bad. We have stayed in many resorts and never experienced this bad of noise. Don’t bother with the upgrade to preferred as you will hear the bands in the lobby. Weddings held in the main concourse area -was like we were in the weddings. Some staff don’t seem very happy at all, but I guess that is everywhere. The ok…..The food was mediocre. I am not a fussy eater at all but got sick one day, but there’s lots of options. Drinks were ok. Hotel is run down. They really need to put some money into it. Entertainment was ok. All things considered we would not stay at this resort again.

Staff were very friendly and the massage at the spa was amazing! Older resort but kept up fairly well and with lots of choices for pools and a beautiful beach.

Best view and access to the ocean

We highly recommend this resort if hotel newness isn't an issue. It is quite dated and when we arrived and touched the first faucet, the handle fell off ( rusted right off!). They fixed it promptly the next day but the place is old, tried to wash swim suits and used sink plug but it's so old that it doesn't actually plug the water so it all drains through, just some examples. The amenities, pools, food, service is great and after you spend a couple days and get over the old room, it does feel like a home away from home.

Have been going for 15 years and it's gone down hill fast. Dirty, worn down facility, pounding music until 11pm every night like the band is in your room. Do not recommend if you want a quiet, peaceful vacation.

Our family of 4 had a great time at the Dreams Hotel. The staff is friendly & make a great experience. We enjoyed the pools overlooking the beach. The waves & current were a bit strong to get in. You have to be careful with the kiddos & keep a close eye on them to make sure they don’t get swept away with the current. We visited la Entega Beach & it was nice for family to swim in. There is a little of everything in terms of food. We enjoyed dining at the restaurants & buffet.

Very friendly staff, excellent food, and many options of swimming Pools. Great for Family and friends. I would just recommend to have more varieties of alcohol brands (missing Matusalen Platino and Smirnoff tamarindo).

Food was cold-pancakes etc. if it wasn’t made fresh. Restaurant food was excellent but the rest was just ok Couldn’t use pools or hot tubs due to lack of safe manner to enter having walking disability

Great food

I had a higher expectation from a Dreams Resort. The resort is clean and their food and service was great. However the beds were not comfortable. We felt every spring /coils on our backs, our back was sore. We had to request towels for our room about 4out of 6 days they never left any nor did they leave hand towels. You had to request them. Their room service food was limited and not the best. What i loved was their orinetal restaurant with amazing food. Our waiter Giovanni was amazing. Guadalupe at the main buffet restaurant was also amazing and catered to us and our children. She is a sweetheart! Mario was also one of our favorite and was attentive to keep the drinks coming while at the pool. They're staff overall are very friendly and attentive. Until it was time to check out we were surprised that Dreams restricts you from even getting water while waiting for airport transfers. We had to wait 3 hrs st the lobby and the front desk person would not allow for us to coninue using the facilities. Compared to other all inclusives, other resorts have allowed us to eat and use the facilities and amenities while waiting.

Overall We enjoyed our stay and we’re grateful to be on vacation with 12 of our family members. My husband wanted to have a birthday dinner for me on the beach, they obliged for a fee of course(which is not a problem). Our issue is 1. They chose not to do on beach 2. Did not have the mariachi band we were told for another fee would be there 3. Offered to discount the entire ordeal and did not. Now the guy delayed our sweet sunset dinner until 9 pm we were outside since 7:45 He told my husband we have to pay either way even though they changed location (and charged us for the floor space bc it was on property)and no live music which was requested and confirmed. So after 45 minutes some band shows up not mariachis and not what we were actually paying extra for. The food was terrible. I am extremely disappointed in paying almost 3k for 5 days not including my airfare and transfers. Yes just for the stay at dreams the food should have been better quality I travel often. As a matter of fact this was my 5th hotel on this one vacay we’ve been traveling since June 24 and this was the worst food. I ate eggs in the morning and would find deserts The meat was questionable. The drinks are inconsistent barely alcohol nothing tasted the same twice. Extremely disappointed I usually go to a different resort company that I have been to in different countries and the food quality and taste has a standard that is top notch. I don’t think I would go to another dreams ever
