Stains dripping down the walls and furniture in the room. No ice in ice machines. Thermostat was set to 67 but the room read 82 degrees the entire evening/morning. There was no turning it off or adjustment of the temperature.
Friendly staff
The Hotel was absolutely Beautiful. The onbeyonce and decor was brilliant. Parking was a bit testing
Never Again
My room had no air.. it was very hot and box fan were delivered to my room. It had an old smell that triggered an asthma attack. There was no wifi service. My toilet ran all night and wasn’t able to flush. Water spewed onto the floor.
Do not recommend my stay.
The hotel was disgusting. There were trash cans in the hallways for dripping leaks and the hot water was sparse. Our air conditioning also did not work in our room and made it for a miserable night. The front desk was no help. Will never stay there again… the hotel is in need of major repair and renovation
Our hotel room was not cleaned properly. I found a persons used snoring strip on the bed, trash in the bathroom. The room was also so incredibly hot I couldn’t sleep. When asked how to fix the problem they said turn the heat off we don’t have air. I already had the heat off and they were not helpful.
Reservations were messed up, sent to worthington, but 2nd night downtown was very nice. Will always stay there from now on
Staff was extremely helpful and nice!!
Front desk workers
I liked that it was easy to get to from the event I was attending
The environement was dark. The lighting is too low. Also, there was a light out in the bathroom whihc made it difficult to see.
Awful
They wouldn’t give us sheets or and extra blanket for the pull out kept saying “we will bring them to you” even went to the desk to ask said “oh we don’t have any at this time sorry”
Staff was first rate! They deserve a better facility to work with. Heating system needs work (it’s very noisy), stained tub, etc. The dining room had a limited selection but everything I tried was good and well-prepared. The wait staff was totally on top of everything.
Bathroom was not clean. Floors were very sticky. Cold water did not work in kitchen. Had to request linens for the sofa bed twice.
Was cold a few nights and heat was not turned on. Also asked for housekeeping services daily and only did one day and the other days didn’t.
I was charged another $50 crime the property and am unsure why. The parking situation was obnoxious and you have to pay $25 a night to park in their parking garage. The room was very very nice, clean, and comfortable! Adorable view of the city and easy to check in and out of.
Property was very nice
Great
Fridge did not work, ac barely worked. Staff was very rude. Good location and nice room. Shower was dirty and room was slightly rundown.
The hotel need a huge renovation The room I had have water damage in the bathroom Horrible room
Front desk helpful and kind
Pay attention to details.
Elevator was down and no made bed between days.
Property was very unkept!! The bathroom was disgusting, mold around the ceiling and around surfaces, ceiling spackling was falling from the ceiling, wallpaper was coming off the walls. I Woke up and the sheets that were on the bed had stains on them, which was absolutely disgusting!
Room was dirty - it was if the cleaning staff had only half finished cleaning room. No linens provided and requests to provide linens were met with anger. I had to make my own bed. Sink would not drain. When maintenance came up, we had to switch rooms because a flood ensued. I called three times to ask for a late checkout - 2 weeks before our stay, at check-in and one day before check-in. We are told 3 times to ask morning of and it would be granted. We called at 6AM and they told us rudely that it would not be provided. We were told contradictory information about parking from each staff member we asked. This hotel is outdated and not worth the money we were charged. Please do not stay here - truly not worth the cost.
Marathon weekend stay
Great hotel pick for Columbus marathon weekend. Large suite , lots of room for toddler to play. Close to restaurants and easily walkable to start and finish lines.
Fantastic stay & value
Really lovely stay at the DoubleTree in Columbus. The rooms are large & comfortable, and the service & desk concierge staff were remarkably accomodating. Loved that the room staff came in & cleaned the room & made up our beds daily. We will stay there any time we are in Columbus from now on.
A lot of places around the hotel were closed around our stay. The hotel staff and everything about the room was perfect! Thank you for the warm cookies and water!!
This was a great stay for the weekend. Rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly.
No glassware in the room and lack of staff to bring things like towels to room. I had to Go get them. Poor value for the money
Clean
Do not stay here at any cost. There are far cheaper properties in the area with better quality. Sticky and damp carpet, very dirty rooms, and consistently zero supplies over the 4 nights I stayed. There were 4 of us in the room, and we were only given two towels to share for the entire stay. Upon asking for more, multiple times, we were told “we’re out” ? What kind of hotel runs out of towels? Go buy more, you’re a multi billion dollar corporation. Shame on Hilton for representing this property.
Love this hotel. have never had a hiccup with them
qw
Great room, could be updated. Very large room! Very comfortable
Downtown location
G
Clean and quiet!
Location
way over due for remodeling.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Facilities do require improvement--broken elevator, high humidity in hallways, and no elevator access to fitness facility.
1st room water dripping from fan above shower and tub was stained. Gave us new room 2nd room was not cleaned unmade bed snacks on table couch opened to bed. Upgraded to musty smell room toilet need cleaning in all rooms. Never again
Phone in room not working. No ironing board and bathroom tissue. Customers should have free parking for your hight price in rooms. I will never stay there again.
DO NOT STAY HERE! Arrived from Cincinatti at 12:44a, Frontdesk person treated us like we were bothering him. 8th floor hallway had a bad smell. Inside the room #808 smelled as Mold, walking barefoot on the carpet was sticky and dirty. Within 1 hour inside the room, my throat started to hurt, and the next morning I had a horrible sore throat. The fridge was gross! Last time it saw a cleaning lady was probably 3 years ago! Needed to cancel the second night and went to Hilton at High St. so much better! The 2 stars on employee was for the manager, super understanding when I showed her the picture from inside the fridge. Asked me to send to her email so she could address to her employees.
Elevator was malfunctioning. Signage to other elevator was not clear
Hotel was dirty and dingy. Very disappointed.
I was next to elevator.
Nice looking hotel and our room space was nice, I just personally wasn't a fan of the beds (too hard to get comfortable). The staff was respectful, and we had a great stay otherwise.
Great location convenient for our trip.
Entirely overpriced, $270 a night, for such an outdated property. Water stains on the ceiling and walls scuffed in the hallways. Only one elevator in service from the parking facility. Furniture in the room was snagged and aged. Floor lamps leaning and unstable. Sweeper had not been ran in the room. I found a couple staples laying on the floor. If updated, this would be a great property. But as it stands, the price should be significantly lower. I will add the staff was very friendly and professional.
The view
I wish I had a better view of downtown, but I was delighted how nice the hotel was and getting fresh hot cookies as we checked in.
Unfortunately older plumbing...had two different rooms and toilet needed to be fixed in both rooms. Grout on bathroom floors was old and needs an update. Bed and pillows were great and overall service was fine.
We did not have a shower curtain in our bathroom , stuff was old and it needs to be updated!
Outdated and old and creepy
It seemed run down dirty & the last night we had no ac & they offered nothing
Hotel overall was dirty our room was dirty with dirty sheets in the bed dust everywhere. N they ran out of parking passes n forks n spoons. Customer service awful. N I was charged extra money by a staff there when I purchased two pops. 0/10 DONT RECOMMEND…
Gosh, these rooms are kind of beat up and need a refresh !
The hotel is outdated ! We were told it’s supposed to be closing in 6 weeks. The ac didn’t work. It was very hot in our room. The wallpaper is falling off the walls and the window sills were disgusting. The furniture had stains all over.
I personally wont recommend it smell bad the room was not clean the bed comforter had a what appears to be blood stain the sheet was dirty don't event have a bottle of water in the room the hallway and room carpet is old and looks dirty definitely not a good experience at all the stay was over$300 per night
The elevator from the parking garage to the lobby (parked on 3rd floor; lobby is on 7th) was slow. I came in late after dinner, and the elevator WOULDN’T WORK. I called the front desk twice and after about 15 minutes of being “trapped” in the parking garage at 11:30 pm, your desk employee came down on the elevator and picked me up to go to the lobby. This was a safety issue, and your equipment should work consistently. I don’t expect this from a nice hotel.
Needs some work…
Cleanliness was not up to par for the price. Housekeeping did not come to our room after telling them we were leaving in 5 minutes. Never showed up. Stain on the sheets, air conditioning in the whole place was not working well, elevator windows were very dirty. Staff was nice but the stay was not what I would expect for the price and staying downtown. Probably won’t stay again.
Carpet was very dirty, air conditioning in room and in hallways did not work during 95 degree days, door on bedroom did not close.
It was okay
Had the king suite corner view….nice sized room…air conditioner was having trouble cooling the room down…stayed about 73 at all times…room is outdated but cool…staff was amazing and I bet if I would have asked, someone would have checked the a/c or even brought a fan…food was good…only stayed couple nights for music festival…pricey for conditions…but I’d stay again….
Upon arrival it was unclear where to park. We called the front desk several times to try to get help and they were no help at all. Once checked in, we noticed our room was 81 degrees and barely pushing air. It was not dropped much with our stay. I had to go to the front desk and ask for a fan. This property is outdated and the bathrooms could use a big clean.
Air conditioning did not work, floor was wet and smells musty
Love all the space.
Tired
Nice hotel, nice location. Lifts were a little strange and not working to full capacity. A little expensive for the state of the hotel but you are paying for the location.
Staff was very friendly and outgoing. The rooms were really run down and bad. Sink in the bathroom didn’t drain, peeling wallpaper and paint, the carpet felt bubbled up and crusty
the staff was more than excellent. i have never had such a friendly and caring interaction before. everyone was so helpful and nice. thank you all for everything.
The air conditioning was the worst part . They don’t alllow it to go under 70. It was warm, stuffy and smelled. It’s old… definitely needs some TLC. I will never book here again .
There was black mold, hair in the shower, maintenance had to replace our shower valve, peeling wall paper under bathroom sink, never got pull out couch sheets, rotting wall crack
Cold things not cold enough
Thermostat in the room made almost no effect on the temperature. The fridge barely got cold enough to be classified as cold and fhe ice maker on our floor did not work.
The bathroom hook hasn’t been cleaned in a long time
Long overdue for major renovations the lack of maintenance and repairs only added to the unappealing look. Fans in the lobby to cool staff is never a good sign. Our first room had a water damage dent that drew your eye immediately, disappointing start to arrival. Then the toilet leaked. When I called the front desk their solution was to send maintenance, I politely suggested given we’d just checked in that a new room would be more appropriate. Moving to the 6th floor was not an upgrade. The weird double closet doors to separate the sleeping from sitting area wouldn’t close, so not ideal for sharing with your kids on the pull out. We had the A/C maxed out from arrival and the room never got below 74. The marshmallow bed was comfortable but after a few nights the lack of support took its toll. My son described the pull out as “springs with a fabric cover” The lack of regular housekeeping that all hotels do now to save $$$ and tell you is “for your convenience” meant hallway garbage bins overflowing with dirty diapers from guests that didn’t want them in their rooms. Breakfast was an overpriced joke. Only one elevator worked. Choose another hotel
No functioning AC, no ability to accommodate
The staff working the desk were extremely friendly and made us feel so welcoming. We checked in late in the evening and the gentleman working made sure we had everything we needed and all questions were answered. The rooms needed to be updated, and they could be cleaner, but everything else was fine.
Don’t stay here
Will never stay here or any Hilton hotel again. Employee was very rude, room smelled horrible so we asked to move next room smelled also but not as strong, discovered black mold all over vents which explained the smells. Things were not clean and falling apart, room was not stocked with pillows or blankets for pullout couch, no extra TP or towels, elevator broken. All this for almost $300 per night. Oh and one day all day there was natural gas smell
Our A/C didn’t work and when we told the front desk, it was a known issue and they still put us in that room.
The facility was average. Staff were less than professional. We had a Double Bed Suite. “Sleeps 5” The pull out sofa did not have any blankets. Called front desk to request blankets. Employee Michael, confirmed. After an hour or so of not receiving the blankets I called back to the front desk and spoke to employee Michael again, he said in unprofessional tone “I know, I am at the mercy of housekeeping”. We never received the blankets.
Not what I expected.
First off this hotel was very confusing! The parking garage wasn't well marked, doors were locked going from the garage to the hotel on the 2nd level, we had to walk around the whole building to get to the hotel. The hotel its self was dark, dingy feeling. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The widows were all dirty or hazed over so much so that we couldn't see out well. The toilet above our room was leaking, making our room stink. The maintenance staff was super friendly and got our room switched. The price I paid for this hotel, I expected a much nicer place.
Got wrong room ( with no sofa like I ordered ) No bedding ( blanket, sheets, pillows) for sofa …
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
The young lady at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. Michael came at everyone with attitude. She made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping with no covers because the bedding was stained We will never stay at this hotel ever again. Too bad because it was in walking distance from the race we attended every year.
It's okay, but bring your own soap
I was going to give this a worse review because we were told there was no soap or body wash in the hotel and the front desk clerk was very rude about it and refused to look for any. When we told a different person upon checkout about it, she pulled some out from under the desk. Anyway, I've upgraded my review because the room was clean and comfortable and it was easy walking distance to Nationwide Arena and local restaurants and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd expect a hotel of that size and reputation to have soap, though. My advice is, it's a fairly good hotel, just bring your own soap and toiletries, lol(which I normally do, but I didn't think I'd need to just for overnight and Doubletrees are usually really good about that kind of stuff.)
The rooms were great and huge! The staff were all really approachable and fun to talk to.
For the $700 i paid for 2 nights was worth it, but the room had a lot of bad patch work, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. It was old and outdated. But the comfortable bed was amazing!
Stinks in so many ways.
Just shy of $250 a night, Hilton should be embarrassed. The room smelled of musty mold. Shelves missing large gapping smelly area around fridge. Furniture chipped and trashy looking. Walls inside & outside of room marked up unkept. 1 small bottle of shampoo for your shower. No soap. Water was cold, never got warm. Only trash can was in bathroom. Our room was a sweet with a separate sitting area/kitchenette. We used a bag of our own for trash. Do not waste your money at this dump.
Do better!
Windows had mold on them, carpet was pulling up off floor, 1 wash cloth for 2 guess, a furance that was loud as hell, a matress that had a big piece of it missing on the top. This is the 2nd dbl tree I've visited in a weeks time one $85 & this one $246 for a nights stay and all i have to say is do better Hilton. Marriott definitely will be getting more of my buisness.
Old, run-down, smelly. It's a hard pass.
Sadly, this will be my one and only stay at this run-down hotel. The bathroom reeked of mildew. The tiles looked decrepit. No hot water. The one big plus was the comfortable bed with plenty of pillows.
The room was a bit dirty. I stepped on an earring on the floot. The bathroom onky had 1 washcloth. The toliet was very low to the ground and har to stand up off of. Just not a great srandard room.
Unfortunately we were incredibly disappointed with this hotel and our room. The whole hotel was musty and i would not be surprised if there was a mold problem. Our room did not feel clean and there was standing water in the bathroom when we arrived. The shower was lukewarm- never could get hot water- and there was so much moisture in the room that the windows were fogged up. A few positives : The front desk was kind and courteous and the bartender was helpful in making recommendations for local places to visit. The location was in walking distance to some interesting sites- COSI- but an Uber was necessary for any specific nightlife areas in the city. The parking was conveniently attached to the hotel- a big plus- though there was an additional charge. We are Hilton honor members but could not get resolution to our room situation because we booked thru a third party- beware!! First time in Columbus and think the city has some interesting things to offer but we would not stay at this hotel ever again. Consider possibly the other Hilton hotel just blocks away.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great location
The room is a nice sized suite, but managed to cost less than other options in the area. The hotel is less than a mile from the convention center, convenient to walk everywhere. Nice trail next to the river to walk. I was there all week and appreciated having a large room and enjoyed visiting with the friendly staff. There were two large windows in my room and I couldn't help looking out over the city. Had a beautiful view of the river. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was near the elevator and could hear the beeping and people talking. Know that bothers some, but I sleep through it. Only minor observations are that my hall smelled a little stale, but didn't notice it in the room. Asked for a glass of "house" red wine and it was $14 for one glass before tax & gratuity, which seemed high. Didn't eat at the hotel, but there were lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Loved visiting North Market.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Close to Nationwide area. Walkable.
Nice place to stay for our family . Short enough walk to Nationwide arena.
Hotel was gross and neglected!
The hotel was about to crumble. Water was dripping from the ceilings. Carpets were wet. Button was hanging out of the elevator. It smelled awful, thermostat was broken and the room was 64 degrees. We had a family event and several room over several days and there were issues with all of the rooms. We couldn’t see out of the windows because they were so damaged and waterlogged. Two cars were broken into in the parking garage. This hotel needs to be renovated!
Check-in was fast and easy. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
The cookie was, unfortunatly, the best thing about this hotel. When booking I was under the impression that it was closer to the greater Columbus convention center. It was a 15 minute walk. The walls are paper thin. The coffee cups which are usually wrapped in plastic were bare with coffee stains in the bottom so they couldn't be used by me. The glasses were not clean - looked as if someone with greasy fingers left them smudged. Booked for 3 nights and couldn't stay the 3rd night....i had had enough.
Loved the view from my room
Not good. Restaurant was run down. Room smelled like cheap carpet cleaner. It was hot and muggy upon entrance and the A/C didn’t work properly. I forgot a toothbrush (!) and asked for one, but the front desk refused to deliver one (at 11:30pm). It just an old, smelly, poorly run hotel. Don’t go. Save your money.
Maybe consider not booking with a third-party
Unfortunately they ran out of 2 double bed rooms, so they had to downgrade us to a 1 queen/1 pull out couch room. What I didn't know was that when you book through a third party (like Hotels.com) instead of directly through the hotel, you are ultimately first on their list to have your room downgraded. Definitely not the hotel's fault, just something for others to keep in mind when using third parties such as this platform. It was extremely hot in our room when we arrived (which we later found out is because they can only have either heat or AC on at a time, so turning down the thermostat did not change the fact that warm air was coming out) but per the front desk's advice, we turned off the thermostat entirely and the room eventually cooled down. The best part of our stay was definitely the service, the folks at the front desk were super helpful and did everything we needed to help us and meet our requests.

Never stay here
My room was switched without no one telling me the bathroom floor was constantly soaking wet the bed I slept in was stayed and dirty hotel guest wouldn’t even give me a extra blanket to lay on and the General Manager would not even consider coming out to talk and hear what I had to say about my stay
