A nice hotel

We had a good time in Taipei and the hotel is fair good. 5 mins walk to mrt with lots of eateries nearby. The room is big enough as well as the bathroom.Bed is firm and nice. Pillows are too soft for my liking. Breakfast is good. Gym is decent. I would recommend for those who prefer to be near to shopping areas.

This hotel was a great choice as our first hotel in our Taiwan trip. It is so close to Taipei central station and other MRT stations which made travel around the city very easy as well as convenient. The staff were all very pleasant and kind, I even received a birthday card as well as cake as we arrived a day after my birthday. The breakfast was pretty good and offered some variety. The room was very spacious, the beds very comfortable and everything was kept very clean.

这次家庭出行，房间里面住了2大1小，打电话要求客房提供多一条浴巾后，客房送过来一条洗脸巾，说是浴巾质量管控只有洗脸巾，又反复电话投诉之后才送过来一条新的浴巾。 酒店的地理位置很好，周边有很多好吃的餐厅。酒店本身的早餐挺特别的，每天都有特别的中式套餐，住了4天都没有吃到重样的。

Taiwan holiday

The hotel is a short walk from Zhongshan station exit 2, but the stairs there could be challenging if you have heavy luggage so may want to try another exit with lift or escalator. The hotel staffs are very polite and helpful, always greeting and smiling. Our room is spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are food options and shopping malls close to the hotel too. The only disappointment was the lack of nice view.

The Doubletree was amazing from the time we entered until the time we left. The reception staff was always friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was in a perfect location close to food, shopping, and the train station.

I have felt throughout that my stay actually matter for the staff; they have gone the extra mile whenever I had a request.

Everyone in front desk is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again

The property is clean & spacious with very modern conveniences. The daily western or eastern style breakfast is a very nice extra to our stay. The property is very conveniently located in a bustling shopping area with restaurants and department stores galore just a few steps away. Step onto the side streets and we found a variety of smaller restaurants catering to many cuisines. Bars too. Staff is very friendly by the front desk and helpful with our inquiries in English. Would highly recommend this property.

The friendly front of house staff always greet you like a family member on arrival back to the hotel and you felt extremely welcomed. Their English was excellent and they were very helpful with directions or ordering a taxi to the airport. They even organised a breakfast box as we left at like 4am - without us asking. They remembered how you like your eggs cooked in the morning. Little things like that went a long way in making our stay super comfortable and we really appreciated that. We miss them already!

Great friendly and informative staff, nice rooms with Toto Washlet and very walkable safe neighborhood. Can walk from Taipei Main Station in 10 minutes. The breakfast is made to order, decent plentiful options overall.

A Convenient Choice

Stayed for 4 days for a convention nearby and this turns out to be quite a convenient choice. For one, its very near the airport where I arrived in; i didnt have to experi3nce too much traffic in going to the convention site. Second is that most of the hotelsnin Newport are interconnected -- to go to Marriott, all i needed was to walk past an indoor bridge towards Newport Mall, then into Marriot. I need not have to worry about bad outdoor weather or getting a taxi. Third, the room.I stayed in at the 6th floor was very spacious, and being at the end (corner), it was so quiet and peaceful. Its probably all I needed as a break from the routine work. The amenities, the food at the breakfast buffet --they all excelled. I also used the gym which was open for 24 hours! I loved it! Lastly, the staff were very courteous and approachable. Its as if theyve known you for quite some time. I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. And its my first time there, too. Would probably be a returning there whenever am in Manila.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful through out my stay. I found my room comfortable and appreciated the size of the pillow. Everything was great.

Stayed there for 6 nights from 9 to 15 Aug'23. Hotel staff were all friendly, polite and helpful, rooms were new, modern and nicely made up. Location is near train station and lots of eateries around. Very convenient. A great place to stay in Taipei!:) The only 1 complain was the hair dryer seems a bit weak.

Excellent location, clean and quiet room, good water pressure, delicious breakfast. Walkable to many dining options, zhongshan station and a department store. There is also basement parking available within the premises.

Less than 10mins walk to Zhongshan station with lotsa dining options. Got the balcony room, unfortunately with no view and without even a chair to chill in. Day curtains are no longer white, need a wash soon.

A decent hotel

A decent hotel overall. No complaints about hotel staff, they were all quite nice and met expectations. That said, there was a miscommunication which resulted in a n early morning call. We requested for taxi service for our departure on Saturday and they called us rather early in the morning of Friday, wasn’t able to return to sleep after the call. The room we had met our expectations and it was a pretty good room overall. The only issue we had with this room was the bathroom’s sink - the faucet leaked. Despite getting the staff to look into it, it still leaked when we returned to our room. No major inconvenience caused though. I wouldn’t say it is located near the mrt station but it isn’t far either. If one is interested to put up at this hotel and has luggage, the advice is to not take the nearest exit as it only has a long flight of stairs; use exits that have escalators or make use of their elevators. There are breakfast stalls nearby but do expect a 5 - 10 minute walk. There are at least two breakfast places very near DoubleTree.

Superb location, near to Zhongshan MRT and walking distance to Taipei Main Station. The room is spacious and they gave me a corner room so it is really well lit with lots of natural light. No pool or fancy lobby, pretty basic facilities it seems. But that doesn’t bother me much since I am out most of the day anyway.

Good service and nice staff. Love the complimentary cookies, probably one of the best chocolate chip cookies in Taiwan. I had to ask for more.

The staff was crazy, when check in he informed me the room only equip with shower, I was ok with it, but the reality is he gave me a handicap room equipped with all necessary tools for handicap or elders , it will be good for them, but to a healthy customer it’s not only inconvenient, also wired. If he told me that was the only room available, I might take it with understanding mind, currently Taiwan has all kinds rooms available, the only reason I choice Double Trees is because the goodwill, but with this experience, Double Trees will never be a choice anymore

The hotel is very conveniently located near the Red Line MRT station, and easily walkable to shops. The hotel room is very nicely designed, it has everything you need for a hotel stay. Very clean, comfortable and at the usual high standard that Hilton always offers. Reception staff was professional and friendly.

Perfect hotel

Perpect 10/10 hotel. Good room, good staff, clean room, good laundry service, good house keeping staff, quiet and relaxing environment, well-managed, very nice hotel overall. I'd like to come back when I get to travel again in Taiwan.

Everything is good but breakfast has a big room to improve. If it’s because of the low season due to COVID-19, probably it would be way better changing it to one portion serving and improve the quality of food.

Great hotel

Great, convenient location next to ZhongShan Station, near numerous restaurants n shopping. Relatively new hotel, spacious well designed rooms. Big king size bed but pillow too soft - a quick word with the front desk n 2 firmer pillows were placed in the room. Will stay again.

Staff were all polite and helpful. They were all friendly and eager to assist. A very pleasant stay indeed.

Great Location

The location is very convenience.

Staff were attentive and courteous. Always standing by to assist. Lots of usb charging outlets in the room. Great breakfast. My only complaint is that the toilet and shower doors tended to slam shut (loud and annoying) and the thick rubber seal did it’s job so well extra strength is required to open the doors!

Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. However, we were assigned to a disable access room, the bathroom is very wet at all times as there is no bath curtain or glass when taking shower.

Only 2 lifts so can be a wait when its peak hour and carpark entrance is narrow. Breakfast should have more variety considering the price though. But service is befitting of 5 stars hotel which more than make up for the short coming.

Absolutely wonderful stay

It was amazing how the room wasn’t ready when we arrived & they delivered our luggages to the room when it was ready, before we came back from our exploration in Taipei. The welcome cookie greeted us warm after we checked in a 2nd time. They even had a small cake & a handwritten/hand drawn birthday card for me! The room was great & comfortable, we could even have a glimpse of 101 from our windows! 1 of my best stays in Taipei!

The walkability of the area is off the charts. There’s shopping, food, metro all in easy walking distance. The hotel itself is very nice and clean with beautiful rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast and gym could both be better. The one thing I didn’t like about the room is that there was no way to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night without turning on a light that would disturb your partner. Other room configurations didn’t have that issue, so it might be something to check before unpacking. Other than that, I would definitely stay here again

The room is clean and quite large. Everything was great until the check out day. The cleaning party barged into my room at 9am without even knocking the door - and this happened while I had the "Do Not Disturb" light on. This is quite unprofessional and never had this happen to me in a 4+ star hotel.

My reservation was for 2 persons, and adult and child, and I had provided the age of my child (12 years)upfront. Reservation included breakfast. These details were confirmed by email in the booking confirmation. However when I had proceeded for breakfast on the first day, I was informed that the breakfast for my child was payable as my child was above 6 years. This assumption of my child is flawed and ignores my booking details. The joke is that if I had put 2 adults in the booking, breakfast for the double room would have been free. This left a poor aftertaste to an otherwise good experience.

Clean and tidy, excellent service, as nice as other double tree. Good location with malls nearby at walkable distance, surrounded by restaurants of all choices. Did this for business travel and staffs there offered great experience on parcels delivery, thanks a lot.

Great location , less 5mins walk from station and bus stop. This area has lots of restaurants , next door hotpot is yummy and plenty of massage places to visit after a long day outside. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The room size is pretty big with good lighting design. The only weakness would be the view as our room was directly facing the family room of an apartment next door.

Highly recommended! A brand new hotel. All facilities are new with modern design. Location is perfect. It’s just 6-7 mins walk to the Taipei train station. It’s very convenient for travelers going on an excursion to outskirts of Taipei by train. It’s also just 3 mins walk to major shopping malls full of popular restaurants like Ding Tai Fung.

The area is extremely convenient; the hotel has contracted taxi service stationed out front regularly, and is a short walk from the MRT subway station (and a mall ^_<). Street vendors are all over the place near by open as late as 4am; and on a lazy day room service proved to be very tasty. The staff provide excellent service with great attitude. I asked reception to place a call for me over reservations inquires, and the receptionist Sharon ended up taking care of the whole thing for me on the phone. Every staff I have encountered here speaks English to a degree, making life simple when communication is sometimes an issue. The service quality definitely adds to the experience.

Great location: in the middle of shopping and restaurants, short walk to red and green lines, walkable to Ning Xia night market. Everything is new (3 months). Helpful and non-intrusive staff. Free beer in mini bar. Meet my expectations. Small lobby and gym are non issues for us.

Stayed here for my business trip, hotel is very new some taxi drivers might not even know where it is. I like the shower a lot. Room was spacious and staffs were very friendly.
