Absolutely loved my stay at doubletree Sharm el sheikh. It was the most comfortable and entertaining holiday. It was very convenient as I had a little one with me. The beach was such a close walk and also had a minibus going there. The all inclusive option was nice however I feel like they could have made the lunch and dinner options a bit more exciting. The staff were the nicest. The entertainment was really good!! Overall very clean, fun and relaxing. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hotel, highly recommend.

The staff at this hotel are genuinely happy, friendly and extremely helpful. They all work very hard to make your holiday memorable. It’s a clean and safe place to take your family, they have a team cleaning all the time. The main restaurant is buffet style, but they will cater for all dietary requirements. We are vegan and the chef was happy to make us specific food each day. The room was cleaned every day, towels etc refreshed by friendly and efficient people. The pool was also cleaned daily and watched over by many lifeguards. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and I would love to stay again.

Pleasant

I needed a couple of days between arriving and flying to Cairo. The huge complex is very pleasant, but was very quiet. The room was good, but WiFi was poor there or often not functioning. The breakfast was as much as you want but nothing special. The staff were very kind and helpful and I will go back. Best designed for a poolside holiday or by the small beach.

I was in pain when i arrived to the hotel, the staff wasn't helpful i had a doctor's appointment the bill was 600 dollars for 5 injections, i spoke with different managers about the service of the hotel, about the clinic, and managers doesn't care about any complain, if you want to feel secure and enjoy your vacation time this is the only Hilton i do not recommend in the world

We first entered the hotel at 1:30.. waited at the que to be checked in for roughly 15 minutes.. once served we was advised to fill in forms which I did. I then went back to the reception to hand in the forms at roughly 2 o’clock she advised me to take a seat and my room will be ready within 15 minutes. 2 hours later after speaking to many staff we was finally given our room!!! We entered our room to be quite shocked about the cleanliness. If I could take a picture you would be shocked. The pillows were still wet. The room was really dusty.. chewing gum stuck on a wall.. the side of the beds were very very dusty and hair all over the side of beds.. the bath was dirty. NOT PLEASED AT ALL!!!

The people at the hotel were amazing. All things considered the stay was good. The room is not a clean as we would have liked, however, was clean enough. The food at breakfasts was standard for the area. The hotel was extremely noisy. Kids running around at 2 am screaming. People yelling throughout the night. Overall a meh experience.

I don't think any Hilton head office officer has ever visited by hotel. If that were the case, they wouldn't have left the name of the hotel as Hilton. It has the status of a 3 star hotel. urgently need renovation. we only stayed one night but the room and breakfast was a nightmare.

A fantastic hotel, but improvements could be made

The Hilton in Sharm El Sheikh is a fantastic hotel and I would stay there again. The Italian restaurant is amazing with delicious cuisine. The waiter, Mohammed, who also serves the lunches by the pool is a wonderful person and a pleasure to meet. He continually went out of his way to help and nothing was too much trouble. What a great guy! There were some sides to the hotel which let it down. The breakfast is average at best. Fortunately the omelettes and pastries/desserts were superb, otherwise breakfast would have been very poor. The lack of air-conditioning in the public areas of the hotel is very uncomfortable. For some reason (money-saving no doubt) it is not used in reception or the restaurant for breakfast. This made it unpleasant to spend too long in either location. You could see the guests struggling with the heat. The hotel should address this immediately. Another disappointment from the hotel was the lack of children's facilities which are advertised when you book the hotel. During our stay, a number of families complained about this to the reception staff. They finally opened one of the children's pools, but this only happened on our last day. The children's play area/park is also shut. The hotel is aimed at families, yet there is very little for children to do there. This is a massive shame. The guys who work on the scuba diving/beach were quite pushy selling activities. This was annoying too. For a relaxing break, it is a great hotel and worth staying.

Old hotel. Over crowded. terrible breakfast. Pools closed and unsightly. Beach swimming area over crowded. Rooms are not sound proof and old uncomfortable squeaky bed. Terrible noisy night entertainment music can be heard until midnight. Staff and room service was ok.

Big Hotel

Good location near airport. Very beach coral reef for snorkeling. Lots of pools and there is a shuttle service to the beach. We stayed on the other side of the road…so a VERY long way to the beach. If you are not on all inclusive package it is very hard to eat there….only 1 restaurant serves a la carte. Hotel service not very satisfactory…probably because it is such a huge hotel. Good for family groups but we won’t be staying there again.

The staff were very nice and the room was well-appointed. However, the wifi, which is only available in reception, didn't work well enough to really use. To make matters worse, there was an unacceptable mosquito problem in the reception area. So, as I was getting frustrated with the wifi signal dropping, I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I would not stay at this property again because of these two issues. It is unfortunate, because it is an otherwise nice place.

Good hotel but not a very personal experience.

Not the best resort I have stayed at, but it was a great deal price wise. The hotel is a bit old, and I didnt like that the free internet was only at the lobby. The lobby was always full of people on the phones and the internet was super slow. I was expecting more from a Hilton hotel. A lot of people in the pool and the atmosphere was a little too "spring break" for me. In other words, it really feels like a mass-tourism resort. But the food in the buffet was great, and the room was really good as well, great for a night. Also the location is walking distance to Soho square, which was really nice. And the transportation to the airport was fantastic.

Honestly it wasn’t a pleasant visit first we booked it with 38$ per night ended up paying 110 $ per night after adding the all inclusive prices this is really isnt acceptable we tried contacting the hotel the week before checking in couldn’t reach anybody to ask if our reservation has all inclusive or not and to make a descion regarding price comparison between Hilton’s and other hotels in the area,they wouldn’t answer and they wouldn’t cancel our free cancellation reservation because we were late beyond cancellation time although it’s the hotels fault that their phones were out and Expedia couldn’t even reach them by phone . hotel is filled with flies and mosquitos, food wasn’t good and we both me and my friend got diahrrea the second day . The only good food in my opinion is the freshly grilled plates. They don’t change bed sheets or covers I guess you have to ask specifically for that to be done . WiFi is really bad only lobby , no WiFi in the rooms and it’s slow and inconsistent . Their juices is cheap powder juices not real fruits. All desserts were old taste bad and the actually plates weren’t soft and fresh . Just to be honest with all this problems the staff service and trying hard to make it right is really appreciated and they are really one of the most friendly staffs you ll ever see I guess I should have addressed these problems earlier may be my stay would have been better and also the beach spot that Hilton owns is really one of the best spots has corals& fish

We stayed two different nights here. First check in we were upgraded to a suite. Very nice and updated. Second time the room was small, thin pillows, dirty bathroom, had to call for a hair dryer. Friendly staff. Breakfast was just okay, not the best. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Hello, we have been in hotel from 01/12/2017 to 12/12/2017. The hotel is old, dirty, old furniture, curtains dirty. Corridors do not clean, I was invited in the SPA, Hammam, massage- I have gone. Complete disappointment. Everything is broken, nothing works. Sauna was closed, hammam did not function, it was cold there. In jacuzzi did not work half the injectors. Food is not bad. And of course rejoiced only the reefs. It was very nice and very rich and very beautiful.In the hotel opposite, also Hilton, much better. Next time we will go there. Lovely compound, the reef in front of the hotel beach is amazing, the mainly male staff is sometimes a bit too eager to sell trips, massages, extras etc..., food surprisingly good after what I heard before

Nice beach hotel with a great lower-side pool

Quick check-in and room close to large central pool, buffet restaurant, and lobby area for internet. My room had everything I needed plus a refrigerator with water bottles. The large digital TV had some English channels for news and movies. The room had a small balcony overlooking a small pool. Spent have my time by the lower-level pool that had pool bar and the beach that had a beach bar and snorkeling pier. Goo d service at both the pool and beach bars. The snorkeling off the pier was very good, with many good coral outcroppings and lots of fish. The water was nice and warm in the Red Sea. It was cooler in the pool. But with a low angle sun in October, laying out in the sun was just wonderful (not too hot). The staff was always nice and helped me get better internet reception on one occasion. A taxi was quickly arranged for my return flight for a reasonable price. The food in the buffet was always changing for lunch and dinner each day and was comparable (rating 4 of 5) to some good all-Inclusive places I have stayed in Mexico and Jamaica. For all meals, a wonderful waiter, Mohammed, always took care of my needs for a table and getting drinks.

bad experience

was very bad experience ,food was very bad not safe or hygienic give a stomach pain poisoning food ,room was very old towels very dirty bed frame was very very dirty and textile was dirty also and old .mosquito inside the room and outside too.there was lizard in the shower room make my children not use the toilet during our 6 night stay .stupid A/C system in the rooms always A/C off during sleep time and it was very hot weather because A/C working by sensor only if there is someone moving inside the room so we suffering with this stupid system saving electricity???really very bad experience never going back again there and i not recommended for any guest ..

Nice cheap hotel next to the beach.

I went there with my friends, and we had a good time. It was a really nice hotel for the money, but it is kind of cheap. The food was alright, but not always the best. The wellness area was under construction. The wifi didn't work on my Iphone at all, at most of the time only worked on my computer and Ipad in the reception area (they said they couldn't do anything about it). The fitness is kind of small, and only two of the treadmills works, and none of the bicycles worked. Amazing coral revees right down at the beach. Swimming googles and fins were free (though you had to put up a deposit everyday). The bars were kind of limited in what kind of snacks and icecream they had. Orange, apple and pineapple juice was very cheap quility. Interesting night themes at the restaurant, with different kinds of food every night. We got promoted to a beachview room, very close to the beach. There were a lot of families.

Don't stay here!!!

Not so good!! Service was very poor. It doesn't seem like the servers were experienced in serving guests. During one of my breakfasts, I was grabbing the food and told me wife to save a spot until I'm back, after 10 minutes of sitting on the table, no one greeted her or asked her what she would like to drink and didn't even give her a fork and napkin. I came back and went to another empty table and grabbed the utensils, the guy had the odasity to say "would you like to take the chair too". There were 4 servers standing next to her table (table was close to the entrance) and no one stepped up to assist us. Very disappointing.

Hilton hotel - Sharks bay resort

The Hilton hotel in Sharks bay is a very nice AI resort. I found all the staff friendly and helpful. For the price you pay the food and drinks are excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful and can't do enough. If you scuba dive then the Dive Centre close to the sea is excellent and runs dive courses and diving from the beach and boats. In the evening it tends to be very quite due to lack of guesses. The entertainment staff try their best throughout the day and evening. But I found the Hilton and Sharm el Sheikh dead at night.

The pool area was great! The grounds were beautiful The room looked a little tired. A fresh coat of paint would help immensely. The food was not bad, just boring. Not up to the standards that I associate with the Hilton brand.

Poor hotel,

The hotel is ideally located close to SOHO square and the beach is great for snorkeling, The food is not tasty and the food's vanity is very limited. Unlike any Hilton hotels across the works, there should be more items in the menu. The hotel staff are good but not so professional except Emad the house keeping worker, he was very professional. We stayed for 5 days, got sick from the food and left the hotel. It is also too far from Naema Bay aned the room air conditioning was very noisy. The entertainment programs are slim to none., I do not recommend this hotel and will not use it in the future,

Cheap & Great

Take holidays today in Egypt is fantastic. People are often afraid to come to Egypt nowadays. Result: Prices go down and services go up. Few people in four stars rated hotels like Hilton are treated like kings and pay like peones. Superb deal if associated to the fantastic dry climate and superclean Red Sea.

An okay vacation

The location was perfect. The staff was so nice and amazing. The spa experience was not ok. My husband had his skin rubbed so hard during his salt scrub the second day that he was in pain the remaining of the trip. The spa technician gave me a facial that left my face bruised and when she gave me a mask she literally burned my face with the steamer to then litter ally pour water down my nose and never apologized after I shot straight up coughing. The bathrooms were so small and difficult to use the toilets because the door covered most of the bathroom. Our air conditioner went out twice. The reastaurant food was great at this all inclusive place but it was on repeat daily. The sunset bar is where we would go to enjoy great snacks. If you need Internet connection get a SIM card because they only give you access in the lobby. No internet connection anywhere else.

Nice hotel suitable for everyone

We had a pleasant experience Nov 2015 The good stuff: 1. On arrival there were ants in the bathroom, we changed our room the next day as the hotel was fully booked. The new room was fine. The TV was rather old but then your not there to watch TV. 2. The hotel is clean and swimming pool and surrounding area very well maintained. Good shisha on site by the pool. The staff there are exceptional (shisha). 3. Animation staff very friendly and try and get you involved. 4. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel and they rip you off. Try and contact the hotel before you fly and they help with the transport. 5. Very good location, within 5 minute walk to Soho Square 6. We did a few excursions with the guys walking around the hotel trying to sell these. These were well organised and the staff were very friendly during the excursion. The not so good: 1. The food isnt great, we ate out quite often. This is the single factor preventing us from going there again. There were many British tourists with the same impression. 2. We had a bad experience with the hotel staff at the restaurant. They took an hour to serve us at the bar by the pool but I believe this was a one off. They need to learn the concept of serving people in order of arrival rather than random. I complained to the hotel manager and I was very satisfied with the outcome. If you dissatisfied do let the hotel manager know and they will put it right. 3. Seem to have a towel shortage at the swimming pool.

Excellent for the money

Staying in the old side of the hotel and the rooms were a lot better than people had reviewed them on Expedia. We stayed in Sharm at the beginning of November when there was trouble with getting flights home and the hotel staff were very accommodating after instruction from our travel provider. Everything was to a high standard as you would expect from a Hilton. We were a little disappointed with the choice of cocktails available on the all inclusive menu. Also the food could have been a little hotter but understandably it is hard to provide really hot food when you're running a buffet dinner. the facilities available are excellent, the beach is great (sand is sharp not soft though!), and everything is clean which is the most important! Overall we were very pleased.

The Hilton is a fantastic place to stay , it has wonderful pools to relax by, or if you enjoy snorkelling and diving.it won't disappoint . The staff are friendly and attentive staff. The food is good with something for everyone . Brilliant Italian restaurant on site. The hotel is clean. Good evening entertainment. The animation team are fun and there's great activities for children.

So sad to see this hotel stop caring quite as much! Love the staff in the pool bars and the pool guys. The bar manager was amazing but some work hard and others don't care! I'm not sure I would go back again which is sad given they need return visitors!
