Weird experience
Water went off and fire alarm was on and was terrified
I had a great stay!
My stay was great. John showed exceptional customer Service and was extremely helpful
It’s in a great location. My reservation was canceled. I experienced ice and snow from my departing city and for two days flights were canceled. I called 3 times to (Doubletree) to inform the staff. I did not want the hotel to be overbooked and I would not have a room. The paid reservation was listed as a “no show’ when I got to the hotel.
We love staying here but it has changed front desk is always welcoming but this time I felt like my bedding wasn’t changed for the last people that were there
Everything
Has been our go to for a while now. Beds are comfortable and clean. Areas around the hotel are a bit sketchy but nothing to worry about.
Clean and friendly staff
Disgusting
The room was clean however we discovered a few huge yellow stains on our bedding. It was absolutely disgusting and so uncomfortable. That bedding should have never been there and someone should have known better than to allow it to remain on the bed. We didn’t even get a call from a manager or a discount of some sort for this disgusting situation. Very disappointing to say the least.
Staff was great as always. Jose the shuttle driver is outstanding.
Poor service
Ok
Very professional and patient
Nice place, near to downtown. I stayed there because Rock&Roll Marathon, hotel is just the corner of the finish line, very conveniences.
Parking now costs money !! And they charged TAX on parking ….which makes zero sense as this is not a physical item !
We enjoyed the room tv a little complicated but overall it was good
perfect
🙌
Across the street of where I had to be all week
Was all good. The area is a little sketchy with homeless a block or 2 away but didn't affect us. Parking should not be 30 a night. Ridiculous. Everything else was good including the bartenders.
Clean rooms
My friends and I had a great time! It was clean, neat and very close to all the locations we were visiting!
Bedsheet and comforters had very bad smell to it.
Great stay!
Good location
Stunk of cigarrettes
Clean but surprisingly not hospitable.
The check-in was rushed and offered little hospitality. This was surprising for a Double Tree. After check-out we were charged for the bottled water in the room even though we didn't drink them (is that an automatic charge you have to dispute?). The charge was removed after I called to inquire.
Property is well cared for and very convenient for our needs
Great
I WAS THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED WITH THE IMPECCABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE at service desk and Starbucks counter! Incidentally, I am not referring to some of the unfriendly housekeeping staff).
Nice and quiet area, near downtown and entertainment areas.
This hotel was terrible, I asked to the ladie at front desk about the parking and she said parling was free, at the time that I did check out they gave me a bill for 62 dollars. I don’t really recommend this hotel.
1st, We were calling the hotel front desk to notify them that we were arriving a few minutes after check in but no one answered the phone, we kept calling and were transferred between departments with not being able to contact front desk. Luckily, we arrived before check in. When we got to our room, there it has an unpleasant odor in the hallway and the room itself. Did not smell fresh and clean. The bed by the window felt a little moist from the moisture. The overall stay was okay.
Nice
The bartender Nick was amazing! He was very polite and respectful, we will definitely be back to see him!! the cookies were a super bonus ❤️☺️ Anniversary Weekend
Parking is an expensive and extra! Rooms are not renovated, but the outside and the inside of the lobby has been renovated, so the rooms are not up-to-date
When I made the reservation I didn't know I was going to have to pay $30 for parking, it is property of double tree and we shouldn't have to pay for parking, I was notified at check in, the beds are small and uncomfortable I wouldn't stay there again. At the check in they didn't let us know where to go in through we had to be asking other customers
They do charge you 29.99 for parking, that's the only down fall. I don’t think they should charge for parking when you have already paid to stay there.
Comfortable bed plus a beautiful and quiet room. Really enjoyed the Crabtree and Evelyn products in the bathroom. The property was maintained beautifully. Can’t wait to stay there again.
Jose the shuttle driver was an amazing and very friendly staff member. Definitely would go back to stay due to his friendliness and very helpful knowledge of the area. I hope he gets acknowledged for his outstanding work ethic!
It was a beautiful experience
I was given the wrong room upon check in and was told there was nothing they could do about it. The seat receptionists weren’t very friendly. I was also overcharged. I had to keep going down tot he front desk because my keys kept deactivating and would not work. As I was trying to check out, they were running a system on the computer and said it would take about 4hours! All day has gone by and no one has sent me my digital receipt like asked for so I am still very unsure on where they checked me out.
Convenient location…great staff! An amazing hotel manager, I should have asked for her name. What is it. Thank you! Alex Vargas (213) 545-4959 lapd31083@gmail.com
The only thing I find somewhat problematic is a restricted number of didnig options nearby.
Great stay
An okay stay but nothing special
There is nothing special or unique about the hotel. Just your run of the mill run down hotel. Beds were uncomfortable, pillows had no support nor were your typical fluffy comfortable pillow so woke up with neck and body pains every day. Staff wasn’t helpful we didn’t get any instructions at check in regarding the shuttle or amenities of the hotel. Pool was really small and maintenance was not friendly. Housekeeping worked hard to keep the rooms clean and the hotel kept. Overall it was an okay stay but nothing above expectations. Wifi didn’t work had to use our other room login to get wifi.
The AC in my room did not work we had to move all our things to another room and when and when checking in the clerk said I need a card to put on hold for the room and it would be returned when I checked out I was never told it was for parking this is ridiculous to charge for parking people their are lots of other hotels in the area with free parking I will not be returning to Rain tree 40 dollars a night for parking what a joke
Great for family stay
We enjoyed ourselves
The people are great
Enjoyed our stay
Amazing
Amazing stay
4.5
The stay was good. Parking was a pain,
I wish i could have received an invoice in my email.
They need to renovate or do somethings looks old and the carpet smells bed on the hall. It looks like old Hotel. I love the cookies they give us on the check in. They over charge me they had special pricing for our events and since i got it through expidia they could not do anything about it they shouldn't told me when i walk inn and i could cancel and get the better price but they didn't even mentioned i even talk to the manager and she said it is anything they can do about it.
Great staff
Nice place to stay
Service and room were great. Centrally- located in downtown San Antonio area. The charge for parking and no free continental breakfast (which are usually a given at other hotels) were the only real down points.
The hotel was very clean, nice, and convenient to other places in San Antonio.
Dont book with 3rd party.
If you book with a 3rd party you will get the worst room they have everytime. You are not priority when you book with a 3rd party like hotels.com. This is the story at most places including this hotel. Gave us a accessible room with a view of an industrial airconditioner. The room had no conditioner and two bottles of shampoo. You have to pay to park and the security gate does not even work or is not activated during the day.
paid attention to buisness
Cucaeachas en la alberca
.
The staff and cleaning crew were EXCEPTIONAL. The front desk staff did a great job checking people in quickly and seamlessly even though the entire USA was without computers b/c of the Microsoft Hack. I left something in my room and the cleaning crew answered the phone promptly, retrieved it, took it to the front desk for me, and even called me when it was found. About the facilities… my bathtub did not drain hardly at all and I had to stand in a pool of water just to take a quick shower. The sink didn’t drain well and the lights in the bathroom didn’t work. Staff had kept the room clean so the draining was not their fault. Because of the time of year, roaches (the big ones) come inside and there was a big roach in the foyer. The parking situation… it was hard to get into the lot because of the limited space but the spots had ample space and the facility was clean. The hotel was very close to where we were going so the convenience was great.
For the price point, this hotel was very nice! I would absolutely stay here again.
No complaints, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms very clean, beds very comfortable. 10/10!
there were a few imperfections things about my room but overall i enjoyed my stay it was quiet and clean
We had a nice clean spacious room. The staff was friendly. There was lots of parking but it was paid , I would recommend this for short stay
I recommended it
One of the best I’ve been in a while
Can I get a partial discount , our comforters seem to had mold on them and they replaced them a day later & we had a fire alarm at 4am . False alarm . The light bulb in the restroom was super hot . Pool was not available for half the time we were there very disappointed
Alarms in what was a perfect stay
Two of my three nights were disturbed in the early morning, one of them being a fire alarm and evacuation, wherein we decided to sleep in because of the fire alarm and housekeeping woke us up because the Do not Disturb sign fell off during the evacuation. Was a bit frustrating to say the least
Charged for parking. No free breakfast. Not given a full night sleep due to fire alarm in the middle of the night. This hotel was a scammer. I would not consider this hotel a 3 star if all they do is scam people.
The hotel needs a renovation. Rooms, lobby, elevators, especially that carpet throught out that building. There was a fire alarm at 4AM - did not see any staff directing the people or announcing that people could get back in. Horrid experience. :-/
Always a pleasant stay. Staff is very nice. Hotel is very clean.
Courteous staff.
it was pretty clean &’ quiet , the parking was a little expensive but overall great!
Jose with the shuttle service was really nice and showed us around downtown, and made us feel comfortable.
Place was well kept, really pay attention to what we needed
Everything was great.
This is a very fine hotel. This is very clean, rooms are clean, kept well, and comfortable. Parking is adequate (however, expensive).
Safe parking available. Rooms were clean. No issues at all.
Personal muy amable , limpieza 10/10 , muy cómodo , céntrico y excelente precio
We were not able to use the pool, the water was cloudy and murky. We were told that there was a mechanical problem. The a/c unit in our room was not working properly. It was dripping water and had a peculiar odor. We were given another room, but had to transfer all our belongings ourselves. We even had to facilitate the key card transfers, resulting in multiple trips to the lobby. Given the price point for this hotel, we were underwhelmed by our experience.
Exelente me gusto
Outstanding staff. I would like to recognize Jose the shuttle driver. He went about and beyond to find us during a shuttle request. Someone like Jose who demonstrated the commitment to his job and customers goes 1000 miles for us!!! Me and my were truly grateful for his efforts.
Solid 3 1/2 star hotel
The pool pump went out the day we arrived. So no pool fun. Kind of bummed about that. It was a decent average hotel. There was roaches in our room but that’s what I’m husband is for!:D it was a decent hotel I would recommend if you’re needing somewhere to stay for a short period of time.
I have stayed here on many occasions. I like the location and the staff is always pleasant.
The area
It was decent
Was a little concerned about the ceiling.
Stacy at the front desk was wonderful!!! She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed. Just wish I did not have it pay the hefty parking fine but it is what is. Thanks
Walking distance
Great location. Room was good but the bathroom door kept getting stuck, thank goodness someone else was there to let me out. Wish the bar was open longer.
I was not able to make my trip due to terrible weather and and tornados we experienced in the Houston area. expedia seems very unaccommodating when it comes to things that happen out of cusotmers control. I explained my situation to Expedia and tried to avoid getting charged for hotel I did not stay in, and I was charged anyway. I will not continue business with expedia
We enjoyed our stay. The free shuttle was so convenient and the driver was great!
Property was in a safe area & quiet. Hotel also offers shuttle service to downtown area and Alamodome as we were in town for a concert!
The area was convenient. Pillows were very comfortable only negative comment is that property overall is a bit outdated and there was no hot tub.
Perfect walking distance to Market Square
When traveling to San Antonio for the Fair or Fiestas, this is our first choice to check availability. Short safe walk to the market square, the parking lot is usually full and we have to park in the top but thank goodness for the elevator, and we get to enjoy the view of the city from up too 😀 Room was clean and comfortable as always. We’ve yet to enjoy the pool since we get caught up on our outdoor activities, but maybe one day. Staff is always friendly.
Great hotel, great staff i will definitely be coming back.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay. Walking distance to the Market Square! The floor public ice machine couldn't keep up though. I had to go down a floor to get ice. All else was Great!
Awesome!
I’ll be happy to stay here again.
