it located on a golf court,so the environment is very quiet and beautiful.The room is comfortable and it has very big bathroom,this is awesome.Pool and parking are great,we were able to charge our car on the property too,very convenient.We definitely recommend Double Tree hotel!

This is the first time at this hotel all the staff were amazing and the food was excellent The rooms were big and lovely and clean well done the cleaning staff

The room was spacious, clean and well-maintained. Every staff member was very kind and had great service. The swimming pool was alright, but the sauna area really needed an update: there were wooden planks missing in the dry sauna and it was just overall very outdated.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful at night. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with taxi service information.

Merel was a fabulous waitress.

The manager was helpful and quinine to assist guests. The facility has elegance and a very welcoming effect. Pool and gym are satisfying and just what you need for relaxation and workout. The cheeseburgers are great!

Nice hotel with a good swimming pool

Lovely hotel, would certainly stay again. Nice room and great indoor pool area. Stayed for one night and loved it. Only annoying thing is AC has a 19 degree lock so be warned it can get stuffy in hot weather. Breakfast was good.

Excellent hotel - Value for money

The hotel is beautiful with decoration of fine art and furniture and the staff are nice and friendly. The bathroom could improve on its cleanliness, but the rest of the hotel room and building was very clean and it is already amazing. The food was excellent with a wide variety of cheese, sausages, bread, smoothies, and drinks and so on. The swimming pool and sauna and steam is very luxurious. The surrounding environment is beautiful countryside and there are towns close by which is good for shopping. Free parking available on site. Highly recommended.

Ok place to stay with ample parking, dog walks nearby and very quiet but let down by less than adequate customer service.

Good stay in nice surroundings but note this is 45 mins walk to nearest station and town . Great for walking biking and nature . Told hotel air conditioning was too noisy .

Ok but could be better

The toilet hole was dirty on the side and the shower was blocked. The rest of the room was clean to a very perfect standard. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows’ only option were too soft. The bottles from the restaurant were emptied to the recycling bins close to our room around 23:00 which disturbed our sleep.

We had a great few days at this hotel. Staff were great and the facilities were amazing. Lovely pool aa well and dining options were great, as was the breakfast.

Lovely Hotel, Spa and Dining with parking

Great hotel just 15 minute drive into centre of Utrecht. Plenty of free parking, lovely rooms all with balconies. The meals in both the Bar and the Restaurant were excellent. The Spa, pool and gym were clean and easily accessible with pool towels provided.

Very comfortable, friendly staff, great facilities and great breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay and will definitely comeback.

Awesome place

I was given a room (no. 31) that is equipped for a handicapped person; in particular the bathroom. No furniture had been taken out of the shower; as if I had to take a shower while being seated on a shower chair. This should not be given to a non-handicapped person; or at least done that the shower is free of access etc.

In hotel page write that hotel have bbq but when we come we cant use it. Golf working until 2pm when check in is 3 pm.

Great stay, rooms were ideal and nice touch with individual balconies. Great facilities available at the hotel (games area and pool etc) . Very friendly staff… only minor for me was that the room was a little lacking on ‘supplies’ with only Decaf coffee available 😉

The bar service was slow however breakfast service was really good. Bed was too hard (need a mattress topper) and the food was very expensive.

Entire hotel is newly refurbished to a high standard. Good size rooms with comfortable beds and all the comforts, such as fast WiFi, large screen TV, mini, mini fridge and robes/slippers. The spa and fitness area are well equipped and have long opening hours.

The room was outdated and smelled funny I understand that half the hotel was renovated, but not our section of the hotel was not.

We were happy to be upgraded to connecting rooms for our family of four, thank you! The food was good, especially the breakfast. The hotel isn't especially catered for children, but we did enjoy the pool and especially the sauna!

Great hotel with very friendly staff

Wow, one of the best hotels we visited, extraordinary staff, going the beyond and over to keep our stay as pleasant as possible. The pool & gym were also with calm and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast had plenty of choices to keep all the family satisfied:) Have to mention that we had a car, so the hotel location was not a factor in our location choice.

In the middle of a refurbishment - Nothing stated I would be walking into a works site. No staff were available at desk upon check in - I had to ring the bell 5+ times and wait while the staff were downstairs (what sounded like flirting with other staff from the giggles) The room was nicely done - lacked what you would expect though - No gown - No Slippers - No Coffee Machine - The bed was great - spacious and comfortable - For a large batheroom - the shower cubicle was quite compact not allowing too much space for movement Overall - Could Do Better! (But not terrible by any means)

Will never stay again.

We travel a lot and this is probably the worst hotel stay we ever had. There was an overall lack of how a four star hotel is run. Mediocre and sloppy are words that come to mind for this hotel. The demeanor of personnel all around left much to be desired. A few examples: The room was not clean upon arrival, we found several hairs in the bed, coffee mugs were not clean, the shower drain was clogged. During the next days shampoo and body wash was not replenished, we found dirty coffee mugs and glasses after room service made the bed. We reported this at the front desk and while the front desk was pleasant, they were not effective in addressing the issues adequately. The shower drain remained clogged until we reported it a second time the next day, and dirty glassware and replenishment of items didn't get resolved. We had to walk to the reception desk after hours to get it resolved and picked up a few cups outside of meeting rooms to solve the problem. Nobody was capable to troubleshoot the various issues in one go. Staff covering the front desk after hours would just yell down from the first floor through the atrium to check if I only needed body washes, to then give me a handful of everything. I thought I was on candid camera and it would all turn out to be a joke or a test. But no. The staff at breakfast was plain sloppy and moody. Every day except for friday morning. The female attendant at that time was great and actually served the table. We stayed four nights.

It was a pleasant hotel accommodation and staff were above average. The food was okay fairly ordinary and could be more bistro for the price.

The a/c stopped working.

Family visit

Stayed here before so knew the hotel. Slightly out of town in wooded area. Good service and made us felt welcome. A lot of refurbishment being undertaken - March 2019. Good breakfast. Comfortable room. Will be staying again.

Hotel is in the process of being renovated which is definitely needed, current rooms a bit old.

Nice older property

We had a good time here. Staff was helpful and polite. This is a older property. Our room was not very up to date with very limited power outlets and no usb outlets.

Everything was great, especially the service and attention from all staff. I rated the location poorly because of the difficulty to reach through public transportation. Apart from that, it's located in a lovely quiet place inside of a park. Ah, the swimming pool and the sauna are excellent as well. Great for after a busy day in meetings.

Room quality dis not fit costs. Very noisy and really old. Restaurant menu on hilton website was really outdated. Current menu choice really poor. Reception person failed to ask if our stay was pleasant during our checkout really poor customer service. This all is the reason why we go to valk hotels. Really dissapointed on hilton coorporation shame on you!

exellent hotel, far from amsterdam

very nice hotel, great stuff. very cosy bed and big, we had a family room with shared door. The hotel is 40 minutes far from amsterdam.

We saw pictures of this hotel online and was hoping once we got there we wouldn’t be disappointed - we were not - beautiful hotel - the staff was very friendly - having no problem speaking English - the continental breakfast was definitely a 10 out of a 10 - it was the nicest breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel - the location of the hotel worked out perfectly for us - we had a rental car so getting around wasn’t any problem - would definitely recommend this hotel

Disappointing stay

I stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of a friend, who had stayed there before. The room was nicely decorated, but many facilities were not working: AC, bathroom fan, heating, fridge. The receptionist told us that this was due to ongoing maintenance, but there had been no mention of that when we checked in. She said that she would get the hotel manager to come and look at the fridge- he never turned up. At night, the room was so cold, we had to ask for extra duvets. The next morning we were told there were also freestanding heaters available, which was never offered to us. On the positive side, the restaurant, bar and spa were all lovely.

Quiet area

The room was big and the bed comfortable. Nevertheless, the hotel and the rooms need an upgrade.

Extremely misleading to say "resort credit included" but not to be the case because apparently the health spa etc where credit can actually be used wasnt included. credit can be used for gym and sauna which was anyway free!!!! Disappointed with Hotels.com to allow this misleading advertisement and still be unable to rectify after been made aware of it. Hotel is quite old...needs renovation!

Great Stay

Of course the staff is amazingly nice. Pretty common in the Netherlands. At check in, they even offered a small toy to my 4 year old. The decor or overall design may be a little dated, the amenities are first rate. The salt water pool is warm and fantastic. The eucalyptus steam room and sauna are perfect. Breakfast was complete with all you need. I would stay here again. It is a bit away from your traditional attractions, but we made it to Amsterdsm and the Dinopark\Zoo just fine. Check out Amersfort near by as well.

Good base for exploring Holland.

4 nights in a suite with family of four. Plenty of room. Good breakfast and good dining in the evening with kids menu. Nice outdoor dining area overlooking the golf course. The hotel seems to be popular for business groups which can mean large groups of people in the evenings although nothing during our stay caused us any issues and there was never any noise. Lovely pool, wellness and fitness area which was always quiet. Good base for exploring most of Holland, only 45 mins by car to Amsterdam. If I had to pick it up on anything it would be that the décor is a bit dated and some of the staff could have been a little more friendly but overall would recommend.

A very good hotel, we received a very nice welcome, the reception staff were excellent. Hotel is very quiet we had an excellent stay. There is a very good choice at breakfast and the restaurant staff were very friendly. We stayed for 5 nights I would certainly recommend this hotel.

A great hotel with excellent breakfast and amenities. A car is preferred to reach it. The rooms are large and comfortable. Staff is very friendly.

The hotel was in a great location. The only negative we have is that on arrival the hotel couldn't find our booking even though the room was fully paid for and we had a confirmation number. Thankfully they had another room for us as they weren't fully booked. Not sure what we would have done if they had been as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

The hotel was fine and the stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was specious, clean and had a balcony. The only complain I have is that the room had very strong cigarette odor (even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room). It is about 15 min drive to the center of Utrecht.

I stayed for 1 night and had 2 teenage boys with me, plenty to keep them amused. Staff very friendly :)

Overall nice stay. Hilton has their own brand experties. I recommmend this hotel if you look for relaxing holiday.

nice mix of city and nature

Comfortable hotel with adjacent golf course. In good weather, the sand dunes are inviting. For shopping, situated between Utrecht and Amersfoort. Great breakfast with fresh eggs and fresh waffles, served by very happy staff.
