El hotel ha bajado mucho en la calidad de la habitaciones, ya habíamos estado anos atrás. Necesita una renovación. La experiencia con el staff al check inn fue terrible , por lo que mi review es calificado de TERRIBLE EXPERIENCIA Tuvimos la mala suerte de ser atendido por un personal que rompió todas las reglas básicas al recibir un cliente que ha pagado por un servicio de hospedaje, entregando una habitación defectuosa , negando el derecho del cliente a no recibir un producto defectuoso en el check inn y negando escuchar cualquier reclamo del cliente. Aunque el personal no volvió a estar de servicio en toda la estadía de los 5 días, no repara la desagradable experiencia vivida, por culpa de absoluta ausencia de relaciones publicas, y atenciones al consumidor de un personal de la cadena Doubletree.

The hotel is nice , clean

Well I had so many issues with my First stay my reservation was double room and I got small and tight room I asked the recipe and they said this is the room which is wrong by the time I was looking for a hotel in Istanbul I found way better prices but Because I’m a customer with Hilton I did not mind to pay more to relax and get everything in point but I was super disappointed and my wife as well. I paid almost 850$ for 5 nights Second when I got the room was smell so bad and dirty so I had to change the room which is uncomfortable for me since I was travelling and tired. Third the breakfast was not included and was not mentioned on the description when I booked. Fourth the parking is terrible so I felt like I’m getting wrapped I had to pay 20$ every night for parking since I got towed first night and I paid more than 120$ to return the car. Last when start raining the selling was leaking in our clothes and I had to move again to different room. Overall I’m so sad to get this experience from Hilton.

I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree by Hilton in Sirkeci. The location was perfect, with many historical and tourist sites within walking distance. However, housekeeping could use some improvement. It was frustrating that they would enter the room multiple times a day, when I was still inside, they didn’t restock toilet paper while tidying up. And placed towels I had left on the floor back onto racks. Overall, though, my stay was pleasant, and many of the staff members were kind and accommodating. Ibrahim and Serkan were kind and helped us with our luggage is and with transportation back to the airport.

Unhelpful front office staff - lousy breakfast - room was smelly.

First time in this hotel was a very enjoyable experience for me and my friend and the staff were exceptional! Definitely will come back again.

Expected more from a DoubleTree

Hotel is outdated. My room was facing an abandoned building. Room A/C is noisy and can't be controlled (it's always on / no auto function). Expensive breakfast for Turkish cost standards. Hotel shuttle was twice as expensive as a regular taxi from the airport.

Nice refurbished hotel near the main attractions in old town. It’s a functional hotel for exploring and getting about, housekeeping did a fantastic job and the room service breakfast was very good for the price.

The only thing I liked at this hotel is front desk/reception staff. They're very friendly and helpful. Cons: - Wifi is speed is bad, we ended up using hotspot from our mobile data for laptop. - Interior of the hotel is extremely depressing - Other hotels in the area are cheaper and provide better wifi, better service and don't charge extra for breakfast buffet. - You can hear people in other room. We were unable to sleep and had to call reception eventually. This was around 4 A.M.

AC doesn’t work in the room, really bad smell coming from bathroom to everywhere in the room. Reception desk was not cooperative.

very hospitable staff incredible service. One of the staff helped us get to Galata Tower even lending us his Istanbul Card. Only issue was the thermostat in the room couldn't be adjusted. It was winter and the room was extremely hot. Had to open a window to cool it down, and the location isnt quiet at all.

3 night solo trip

Well located hotel in close proximity to Sirkeci station, which is being partially reconstructed for a new suburban line. Close to Marmaray entrance for easy access, but ferrys, buses and trams are all only minutes away. Quiet side street with little or no traffic. Safe, if somewhat tourist oriented neighbourhood. Hotel staff friendly, professional and efficient. Room was plenty warm enough when I arrived out of the freezing rain! Price paid is more than fair reflecting low season in a prime location. For me, breakfast seems a little overpriced at 18 euros though I can't speak for the quality as I found ample offerings in the many excellent cafes nearby. Would stay again.

Excellent stay. Good cleanliness. Ideal location, close to sightseeing places and shops, restaurants. Very friendly staff, assisted with whatever questions I asked. Would definitely recommend this place and would go back if traveling to Istanbul again.

Great location and walking distance to everything. Our room was very nice but unfortunately had carpet which to me is not clean. The hotel uses Crabtree and Evelyn’s product which was lovely and of course .. the cookies..!

My mother and I stayed for 5 nights in August and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are very attentive. Kurtulus, the duty manager, and Yavus were helpful throughout our stay; as were the housekeeping staff, breakfast staff and others at reception. They gave great recommendations on places to visit, where to eat and also advise on the easiest routes to places. We had a room with 2 queen beds which was spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast selection was fantastic - great start to the day. Various hot/cold items and the buffet was constantly restocked. Only suggestion would be to make guests aware of what hot items (eg. omelettes) can be requested from the kitchen, as I only knew of this option when I saw other guests ordering. The restaurant on the rooftop is great too - lovely food, service, atmosphere and views from the terrace. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s safe and very close to shops and public transport. There are many restaurants in the locality and the hotel is walking distance from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Easy to reach the other side of Galata Bridge by tram too. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Nice hotel in nice location with many tourist and historic sites around. Easy comfortable walking to many places. Lots of selection for food around which is walkable. The check-in staff and also the staff at entrance are extremely helpful. They went the extra mile and even with my kids. They are as an asset to the hotel and give a very good impression. Keep it up!

Comfortable hotel

My stay was so comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable with spacious bed. The location was so good to visit many sites. However hotel call taxi for me paying by credit card. At airport taxi driver said that it will be difficult to pay by credit card. And he tries several times, it did not work. Fortunately I had some Euro, so I can pay but more.

The staff is very friendly. the area is accessible to all tourist places and food. I request for late check out (2:00 PM) but they did not agree. it was a bit upsetting for me as I am their frequent customer and expected a late check out.

good

No water for 2 hours on Sunday morning. Then, there was a fire alarm, I understand due to fire in the kitchen. I was a the shower and It took me some time to be ready to evacuate, but nobody knocked at the door, or did any count on people. Evacuation was cancelled by stopping the alarm, but no people from hotel told me, it was another guest that said evacuation was cancelled.

Great location, excellent value, high quality stay

Reception and front door staff are excellent. Whilst most of the time, housekeeping service was also excellent, standards sometimes varied a little resulting in numerous requests over the course of 14 days, for attention to items overlooked from time to time. Consumables were not always replaced when used. The only significant negative was the Bosphorus Terrace Restaurant where the poor value and quality, and the lack of service were quite upsetting - it may have been a one time situation - but I was not prepared to give it a second try.

The property is in disrepair and not at all what I expected a double tree hotel to look and feel like. Ufff… the staff were nice and we were there to be out and about so it wasn’t too bad, but still took some getting used to

Mold / black stuff around the shower door ..

When booked for Helton I expected the condition will be very good but not that much. For example the fridge inside the room empty no drinks or water for spare. Breakfast was very good the hotel location also good. But in my opinion for the name of Helton I expected more

Good for short stay. Expected more for the high price

Everything was top-notch and better than we expected. Not only was the hotel itself almost flawless, but it was in a prime location with markets and Gulhane Parki only a few minutes walk away. The Bosphorus is also super close. Breakfast was awesome, staff was really friendly, rooms were basically perfect. I would also recommend booking the airport transfer directly with the hotel because taxi drivers do not like going this deep into the busy Istanbul streets due to traffic and may flat out refuse. It will cost you more, but may save you from having to wheel your luggage yourself through the busy streets. The only thing we noticed that was not ideal was the workout area had a strange smell.

Excellent location

We had an excellent stay - just one issue of noise from across the street at a very good restaurant that offers a flambé dish that is accompanied by plenty of wooden/metal clanging to draw attention…well into the night.

Location was very close to bazar and other recreational areas

Was good so far however the a/c wasn’t working properly. But they take good actions and quick response when I ask for anything. Overall: (VERY GOOD)

The only good thing about this property is it’s located near main attractions.

I love the terrace restaurant and the friendliness of staff and excellent cook. The restaurant staff, Halil, Mahmutlu and excellent chef Sinem will make you fee at home. The spa is very comfortable and extremely clean! I recommend getting the package that gives you a massage, sauna, and Turkish bath.

The Hotel is in an excellent location as its only a 10-15mins stroll to either the Bosphorus or the Sultan Ahmet and Ayasofya Mosque complex. The park behind the city walls is literally a 5min walk away. 5mins in the opposite direction you hit the shops, cafes, restaurants etc.

Staff were helpful at all times of the day in planning our activities during the day and currency exchanging, providing extra towels, transportation options. The surrounding area is charming and bustling, with a tram station minutes walk away, great little shops and restaurants and multiple great attractions within 20 minutes of walking. I would book with them again!

Overall a pleasant stay. The room was clean and well appointed, within easy walking distance of all major sights, shops and the Grand Bazaar. Only minus point was that the room was a little small

Friendly and helpful staff, clean property and the location is amazing right in the heart of Sultanahmet. The rooftop views from the restaurant are great too. We were there in 3rd week of April and would have helped if AC could have been cooler. Unfortunately my airport taxi pick up was not on time which made us nearly miss our flight.

We arranged transport with them for 50€ from airport to hotel , the taxi dropped at completely different hotel and than we had to arrange taxi all by ourself as they couldn’t arrange one but they paid the money so we let it slide away , once we reached the property Ac was not working some body came in and fixed it .. but on third day Ac was bust we complained about it in morning and they couldn’t fix it and asked us to love room as it was last night for us we didn’t want to move in other room as with covid we where not comfortable to keep on changing room as it was way to hot they gave us dirty fan again we had to ask them to get it cleaned by than it was 11.30 by when kids where too tired and we slept in the room rather than moving very terrible service

Location was good but staff was not friendly.

Most of the staff was helpful and resourecable, Suzan at the reception was a lovely one to deal with. Like the location it's near the attractions in the old city with a walkable distance.

Very good location

Very nice hotel. Staff was very helpful. Set up nicely with a boat tour and helped getting our PCR tests. It was in walking distance of all the major attractions and many restaurants. If you are Hilton Honors member it is a no brainer to go here.

Hotel location is good for who are visiting old town Istanbul Museum and building or ground Bazar as well . Hotel spaces are tight but tolerable for hotel guests .

The staff, location and cleanliness were great

First, the staff was wonderful. Very friendly, happy and helpful. Second, it is a very comfortable hotel. Good value for the money. THIRD, it is very well located. It is very easy to get on the tram and it is really close to all the major sights. There are great shops and restaurants around it. AND, it is on a side street where there is almost no noise at night.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the amenities and the food wasn't good. The wifi wasn't good, we decided to leave the hotel and go to another one because the facilities, the food, and the wifi were terrible.

Location is great, close to shopping, Bosphorus, dining and cultural points. The Rooms have a big opportunity to get to the cleanliness of the US based Hilton hotels. Staff for the most part was friendly and attempted to communicate in English the best they could. It seemed to us that the restaurants can use a bit more variety on the menu, we ended up spending some of our evenings at the restaurant i front of the hotel, which by the way has a great atmosphere and local vibes.

Great hotel in a great location few steps from restaurants, cafes, shopping, and most importantly historical sights.

Positives: really good location spatious room excellent customer service, they also provide good advice at reception daily clean roof top view - great for the summer Negatives Breakfast is a little pricey so its better to grab from local cafe. Sauna room but no steam room.

Not recommended

The property is located in a restricted area so if you drive there you may not be able to drop your luggages in front of the hotel. There is only one concierge staff to take care of all hotel staff so you may need to wait for a long time especially during checkout time. Very irresponsible concierge staff as my luggage was left unattended in front of the reception counter for nearly 15 minutes. Our TV is not working and we need to wait for the technician to fix it. Room is small. The service level of such hotel is well below the standard of a four star hotel which the hotel claimed to be.

Double Tree Hilton Sirkeci is located in a beautiful part Istanbul. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. We loved our stay. My only complaint would be the air-conditioning. Though it was winter, we couldnt get comfortably cool enough at night. I shouldnt mention this as I didnt complain to the staff

Comfortable and clean hotel

Very good hotel with a comfortable bed and a clean room. It is a smaller hotel and is close to all of the facilities. The hotel rooms look like they have been recently renovated and did not like all the electronic features for turning on the lights, tv etc.

Great hotel - let down by lack of sound proofing

Service was fantastic and the hotel is conveniently situated next to a number of places of interest. Our stay was comfortable helped further by the hotel’s proximity to a number of restaurants as well as both the tram and the as the metro. The biggest let down was our neighbors that were quite noisy. The hotel is not sound proof so one can hear most sounds from the neighboring rooms. On a number of occasions, we were woken up early hours of the morning by noise from the neighboring rooms.

the room i booked had a balcony and a double bed, when i got there the room had two single beds and no balcony. they gave me another room with a double bed but no balcony. it is not nice booking something and then get down graded. was unhappy with that

Excellent facility and in the heart of IST. Walking distance to the metro which is 1 stop away from SultanAhmet. You can shop, eat, and sight see all quite easily from this facility. We got a room that was disabled accessable; we requested to shift as with 3 kids shower was not friendly and no sofa bed in room but they couldn't accommodate. Front desk was helpful and tried their best to ensure a pleasurable stay.
