Rooms where very comfortable clean enjoyed our stay breakfast was 10/10 the only thing was i am allergic to feather pillows and they had no alternative pillows left so had to use cushions from chairs as a pillow

great hotel, great room great food

The hotel is in a great spot for shopping and transport. It's very busy and don't feel particularly comfortable walking around at night due to the numerous nightclubs etc. but that's just a personal feeling. I didn't feel the bed was overly comfortable but the hotel itself is beautiful. the rooms are lovely and so clean. The staff are very nice too. Loved my warm cookies on arrival :)

Stay clear — poor management

Terrible hotel management. A storm in Scotland resulted in national red weather warnings with advice not to travel. Many establishments closed down but this hotel refused to give me a refund. It felt very bad from a national chain hotel like this to provide such poor service. Ever again will I stay with Double Tree Hilton

Had a really lovely stay at Doubletree, staff were all delightful and very helpful. Room and bed comfortable. Very central and convenient. No complaints, would highly recommend.

Great place to stay for conference in Glasgow

Great place to stay whilst on a conference and then a day's sight-seeing in Glasgow. Booked a room with the executive lounge access which was really worthwhile and the breakfast was really good as was the gym. It would be good if the pool opened earlier at the weekend and the restaurant was a real disappointment but overall as great hotel!

Comfortable with a premium feel

A very comfortable hotel with a upper range feel. Good service. Pool fine but a bit small and changing rooms could do with a little more attention. Disappointed with range of draught beersin the bar - just mass produced international stuff on tap, although better Scottish beers available in cans at least.

Hotel business stay

The stay was average and I would more than likely look elsewhere next time. The room didnt have a menu for room service, called room service, no answer so I had to go and sit in the restaurant which I didnt want to do - One reason I picked the hotel was for the room service offering on the website..... I didnt get the typical Hilton cookie when arriving either. The tea and coffee wasnt in a place where there was a plug either, so I had to move the whole station. Not the normal standard for the hilton!

Staff first class

Hotel staff both over the phone and on the hotel premises were helpful and professional at all times. I used the facilities unfortunately the cleanliness of the swimming pool toilets could have been better regarding sanitary bins being at eye level off the floor and overflowing

Great hotel, would stay again

We stayed here for one night while attening an event at the Hydro. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size with a great layout including seating at a small table. The lobby smelt amazing. There was a good selection at breakfast. The room service app was handy sharing the currnt wait time. The downsides were not enough lifts. My 7 year old and i ended up carrying our cases down 6 floors after we gave up waiting for a lift. The leisure area does not match the standard ofbthe rest ofbthe hotel, it is in need of some TLC. The grouting is dirty, the hairdryers were going on and off to their own time. The showers were lovely and warm but 2 wasnt enough for the number of people using th3 facilities and ther was some damage to the ceiling above the shower. Overall we would stay here again

Super hotel, have been a reapeat visitor. Its always clean, staff are always very attentive and friendly. Its a very central location and easy to reach all the major attractions. Food is always super, good menu in the bar and a very clean pool.

My mum and I stayed in a Deluxe Queen room with 2 queen beds. Beds were super comfy and the room was very spacious. Everything was clean, would definitely recommend. Also you must have one of the doubletree cookies they’re delicious!

Was a lovely hotel however the pool area that they try and call “relaxing” was far from it. Lots of kids jumping in and out the pool. The jacuzzi on timer was also very slow. Was told no steam room however turns out there was which was good. Nice bar area but expensive in comparison to the rest of the City.

This is second time staying at this hotel. Very close to high street, and bus station. Hotel its self has everything you need, clean room, bar, good breakfast, swimming pool. Kids also loved it. Will definitely use in future . Thank you

We had to talk to someone they took bank details then told me that a room for 2 nights 2 adults then we got told that was everything sorted and got told to go to the hotel which we did and got to the desk and got told there are no rooms avaliable what the hell why take bank details also the hotel was pay when u stay i hope i have not been charged for any hotels that i tried to get s sleep no-one should be put threw this i do want to make a complaint

Our stay was amazing staff were friendly and always around to help, especially sherry she was our server for dinner on our first night, she was absolutely lovely and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. Great stay. Ideal location for a night out in Glasgow.

Staff were great. Loved the cookies on arrival, very nice gesture. Beds were very comfy and although the room was a little tired (probably down to other guests not respecting the room) it had everything in it we needed. Tho no shortbread :( little noisy with doors next to us slamming closed and a 8am wake up with the bins being emptied out the back. Nice views of the mountains once you look past the car park. Breakfast was lovely! Didn’t manage to get to the spa but look forward to trying it at a later date

Excellent Hotel Stay

Great hotel in the heart of Glasgow. Friendly and helpful staff who were very helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for one night. Breakfast was excellent and all food was fresh and hot. Excellent stay.

Overall, it was a nice experience. I took advantage of room service which was great, but a bit disappointed in the expensive pizza which was burnt round the edge. I presumed that due to it being New Year the staff were under some pressure and I didn't want to bother them.

NYE family friendly stay

Nice stay and good value for money, great location and ideal for our family trip for NYE. Staff on the reception were lovely and at the hotel bar too. Swimming pool was worth it for the kids. We would stay again when visiting Glasgow.

Comfortable bed, soft bedding, spacious room, great shower, friendly professional staff, dinner was very tasty, relaxing bar area after a night out. Will definitely return

Great location and amenities. Not so great housekeeping 1. Body wash and conditioner bottles were empty in the shower, But after phone call we got replacement. 2. Poor room cleaning on second day. Maid done beds, changed towels and collected rubbish, but Floor was left dirty and also table tops , shower and bath.

Room not ready upon 16:30 arrival and not fresh once ready. Poor quality sleep due to broken air con (continuous flashing error code). Empty hand wash in toilet, no response from staff when reported. Dirty room, Thick dust covered skirting. Poor show Hilton Doubletree, Standard’s dropping.

Screaming children in corridor after 10.30PM

Hotel is clean and front desk staff are welcoming. However during our stay there were no towels at swimming pool, we were told to go back to room and bring towels from there! Upon turning in for the night we had children running up and down corridor on 1st floor for approximately 1/2hr , this was after 10.30pm and parents were not to be seen!! Eventually we had to ask them politely to be quiet. Room above ours (122), sounded like a bouncy castle?? As kids again were jumping on/off beds . Not a hotel I can recommend based on my experience, extremely noisy and no one seemed to care.

Lovely Christmas stay

Booked last minute as a treat for my daughter whilst shopping and going to the Christmas Markets. Managed to get checked into our room early, room was lovely, staff were very friendly and night time singer at the bar was fab. Lovey atmosphere and the Christmas decorations were beautiful. Would definitely recommend

Great for an overnight in the city, central location, good breakfast too. If a complimentary bottle of water and a mini fridge were provided in the superior rooms that would make it just perfect!

I had a fantastic stay staff were excellent,if I had to nip pick on faults I would say note on site that’s it’s underground parking with height restrictions and offer range of pillows otherwise excellent.

Excellent hotel, comfortable bed, quiet room, luxury feel to the hotel too. Swimming pool and gym are very relaxing and very clean. Restaurant and bar offered good service and high quality food.

Great location and service. Disappointed with my room, it didn’t look like the pictures, the layout was odd and I couldn’t see the window from the bed, very cell-like.

Comfortable family treat

Staff were really friendly and welcoming. It was very busy but to be expected in December party night season. Pool was fun, breakfast was plentiful. Room was warm but with a window open it was cooler. The towels were changed when they didn't need to just need to practice what they advertise for sustainability

The hotel had to provide extra duvets and a heater for our room --- apparently the heating wasn't working on 2 floors of the hotel but they still put guests there.Had I been told that the heating wasn't working we would have gone home.We were there for The Nutcracker-- the hotel was a special Xmas treat--- first time I've had to sleep with 2 duvets and a jumper on!

The heating system not functioning in guest rooms, hallways. No notice given as though it was perfectly normal. Provided small space heaters. Fire alarm sounded at 5:55 AM. No notification, I.e., announcements of the problem or of it not being a drill. The alarm finally goes off after evacuating, but still not one word from the hotel. When checking out about 30 minutes later I was simply asked, “how was my stay?” Beautiful hotel, but wow.

Be careful walking on the pavements, as there are a lot of cracks, pits, uneven surfaces. I took quite a tumble.

used this hotel on many occasions

On arrival we were told that dinning that evening was not available, due to numerous functions. Trying to order a drink at the bar was a nightmare, staff not attentitive and focused on party goers. When we did eventually get a drink there were no seats again all taken by those attending functions. As for the room, not what was shown online. Smallest bathroom ever. On arrival the room was cold so we increased the temperature, however on our return some hours later it was obvious that the thermostat was not working properly. It was noticeable that the room had no drawers either not ideal. Room was sold as having two Queens sized beds, not true, one Queen and the other was slightly bigger than a single. We intended to use the swimming pool, however again due to the hotel being busy made this impossible. Plus point was the location.

We always feel safe when we stay here on our yearly Christmas shopping trip. There are lot's of works going on around Sauchiehall Street to improve the area. This never spoiled our stay at the hotel. The hotel has a very festive atmosphere.

Fine stay

On arrival our room wasn't ready for us. We should have been able to check in from 3pm but it wouldn't be ready until 4pm. Not a big problem for us but a bit annoying. Once in the room all was fine, comfy bed and good space. Some small details has been missed. The TV remote has never been cleaned, very grubby and the ironing board cover didn't fit the board making it tricky to use

A great birthday celebration

During our family long weekend stay (4 rooms) we had the best of attention from the friendly and helpful staff at all levels. They made this 90th birthday celebration a very memorable occasion for all of us. The fact that the hotel has integral parking space was a big plus.

We were checked in early, which was very convenient. Staff friendly & helpful with advice about local public transport. Big room, clean, comfortable. My kids loved the pool. Excellent breakfast.

Lovely family break

Lovely stay with the family. The check in was friendly and quick. Our room was spacious, but the room wasn’t accessible as described. Getting the wheelchair through the door was tight, the bathroom wasn’t a walk in shower as advertised, it was a full bath with shower over it. We attempted to change it, but we’re going to be in a much smaller room and the bathroom was still not accessible. Sadly, this is a common occurrence with hotels. The word ‘accessible’ should only be used if an adult wheelchair can navigate it comfortably. Despite this, we had a lovely break. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a bit of something for everyone, staff serving were polite and helpful and attentive to our needs. The hotel is in an excellent location with parking available. The pool was a massive selling point too. Perfect size for children and adults, and well maintained.

Lovely hotel inside. Comfortable beds and rooms. Great cookie on arrival! Staff not overly friendly or smiley, although polite. Immediate area across from entrance really scruffy. Really accesible for restaurants and shops. Parking straightforward. Would stay again.

Look no further for an excellent hotel

We stayed 2 nights and could not fault this hotel, excellent location 2 minutes walk and your on Buchanan street, staff were terrific from quick welcoming check in and ordering a taxi for you, room was spotless, everything looked new, the food is top notch, it has a gym and a swimming pool, well done to the staff.

Great hotel. Nice restaurant and comfy beds. Very central, unfortunately lots of roadworks nearby.

Overall we had a lovely stay, the downside for us was not being able to get full use of the pool, three times we were turned away due to full capacity, a booking system would be good to avoid my 7 year olds disappointment each time :/
