The property was very clean and well maintained. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only issue was we were placed in an adjoining room with a couple that decided to have a party. Calling the front desk did not make a difference in the noise level. Also, the lights in the room, did not have real shades so the lightbulbs were very bright making us unable to turn on the lights.

I had a reservation and couldn’t get to the property due to weather conditions. I was stuck on the interstate for 2.5 hours and couldn’t too far after that due to road and weather conditions. I tried to cancel and it wouldn’t allow me since it was past check in time. I had no idea we would be stuck for almost 3 hours and I wouldn’t be able to make it. I am not sure if I can file an insurance claim since I have no confirmation of the cancellation. You have to understand this was beyond my control and would like someone to contact me at 724-963-7308

Beautiful property and very clean facility. Staff was great. Breakfast at the attached restaurant called "Houlihan's" was great. The only problem we had was the hot tub and pool were both cold, but the kids still had fun in them. Overall an excellent experience. Will be staying again next time we're passing through that area.

This was a great property! Clean and quiet. It was more inland than I anticipated and not close to restaurants but it was cleaner than your average hotel off the freeway.

Great place right on a fantastic golf course!

The hotel itself is very nice. Clean rooms, the bathroom had a nice sink and mirror, though the shower was narrow. The staff were so sweet and accommodating. We asked for cutlery and toiletries and the staff were all happy to help. Parking is easy. There's a little shopping center two miles up the road but the area itself it's super nice and quiet. Seemed like the only other people staying were families or people staying for business, so very quiet neighbors.

Best hotel in Front Royal!

This is the best place to stay in Front Royal, VA! We had beautiful views of the fall foliage. Houlian’s Restaurant on site was a plus! We will definitely be going back.

Kind of in the middle of somewhere. A ways off Route 81 but I was able to pick up 81 again via Route 66. Hotel was nice. Good that there was a restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

It was clean and very pleasant! We drive a semi and they had free parking for semi trucks. Great and convenient stay!

Nice room and hotel. Very convenient for the nearby national park. Breakfast is extra though, and this caused some confusion since I had booked on a date with breakfast included. Breakfast does not seem to be included as standard in this hotel.

Poor floor plan, very poor lighting in the room, poor maintenance of physical plant, crummy luggage cart, just a miserable place.

Front Royal Double Tree

Excellent service and staff are helpful. Very clean room and comfortable bed, which was much needed for a restful sleep after hiking in the Shenandoah Valley.

Good area to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Traveling to Skyline Dr.

After a day of traveling, it was great to check in with a personable desk clerk who outlined all I needed to know, a brief work out in the gym, some time in the hot tub and pool, and a great meal ( stuffed chicken breast). My room was clean well appointed, with a view of the golf course. A great place to stay.

Kids had a blast at yhe pool and the laundry facilities were very convenient to use. Restaurants are close by to get anything you want

We checked in and proceeded to go to our room at what felt like the basement. We went to the desk and notified the young man at the front desk that one of our lights beside the bed wasn’t functioning asking him if they had another lightbulb because we would gladly replace it. We were told they have no extra lightbulb at that time. We switched another bulb from our room to get adequate light. Only then did we realize that it was not the bulb. In the morning, after our showers when we were checking out, we told that clerk that the room had major electrical issues. I couldn’t blow dry my hair, nor curl it in the BATHROOM!!!! As we were checking out, we were told, “oh the bedside lights aren’t even supposed to be functional!” He said since the “re vamp” they have several parts and functions that weren’t working properly. Super disappointing that the doubletree in “Blue Ridge Shadows, GOLF COURSE” Has features that weren’t and as we were informed EVER WORKING PROPERLY. Sad that despite that, we were still charged a quite high price for our stay in basically the BASEMENT at this poorly run facility. Hilton should be embarrassed to even have people stay at their facility! What a shame. By the way, my husband and I stayed at this hotel before, had a wonderful experience. And now we will definitely be thinking twice before even considering another stay in such a sub par facility! Doubletree by Hilton should be embarrassed! Signed two DISAPPOINTED CONSUMERS!

The pool was overwhelming smelling of chlorine with no towels to utilize. The pillows in the room shrink down so small when you use them. The lights in the room look like you are going to zap a bug. They are awful! The coffee area wasn’t much to talk about. I wasn’t impressed with the accommodations at all.

Beautiful Hotel. Wonderful lobby. Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Very spacious room and for the first time in a long time I did not come home with clothes not worn that still needed to be washed because they DID NOT smell like a hotel room. Big plus!

Fantastic new hotel, great customer service at the desk.

We had the front desk give our room to another guest. They came at 11.00 pm and knocked out door and was trying to enter. It was very inappropriate and unexpected from a Hilton Hotel. .

Lovely hotel.

My room did not have the chair shown in the pictures. I can’t sleep laying flat so I pick rooms that reflect a chair I can sleep in. A small recliner in rooms would be helpful to many people in my same situation. Cookies were fabulous!!!

The room was a little small and the bathroom door would block access to the toilet when it was fully opened. The fitness center and pool were very nice. The hot tub was probably the highlight.

The Good and the Not so Good

I paid $211.00 for my 1 person room, but didnt receive as much as a complimentary cup of coffee. I didnt realize there was no complimentary breakfast either. They offered a free cookie as you checked in. The room was beautiful, and clean, but the air conditioner woke you up turning on and off all night.

We were really impressed with how nice this hotel is! It’s very quiet and the amenities are great!

No lightbulbs in some fixtures.

The stay was good. Had a good time. Only issue was they were missing lightbulbs in the room. We had to provide our own lightbulbs. But the lightbulbs,didn’t work so you couldn’t read at night!

Since I was staying 2 nights with my co-worker, I carefully selected & paid for the largest room (480 SF per website) with a bathtub and 2 queens or a king with a queen pull out sofa, however I was given a very small room with no bathtub, one bed and no couch at all, much less a pull out. I very nicely, I really hate to complain, called the front desk and had to explain all of that and they said they will move my room- they never moved my room and I even asked again 3 hours later to no avail bc the desk phone is never answered, even when I tried calling prior to arriving. Also, they were not busy & had plenty of vacancies that matched my original choic according to the app & website.

Not too far from the highway. Large hotel with attached restaurant. Very inexpensive. Golf Course behind the hotel. Just a place to stay late for one night before on our way and was clean and quiet. No complimentary breakfast, but the restaurant is attached.

Family friendly, nice pool area, gym was top notch with a lot of equipment. Great views, restaurant was also convenient after a day of hiking.

Booked a room with 2 queen beds since I’m traveling with my wife and daughter, as specified during booking. Pre paid as well in full. Arrived at the hotel, checked in, got to our room where we found it was just a single king bed. Assumed positively that there was just a mistake so headed back down to adjust. When speaking with front desk about having the incorrect room, the same staff member that checked us informed me “we over booked and sold out” yet this was not shared at any point til now. Feel that such information should have been communicated when originally checking in. Communicated how our family needs two beds and was displeased with lack of communication and was open minded for solutions. Was offered a different but bigger single king room, two separate rooms on opposite sides of the floor (my daughter is 6), and lastly more blankets so she could sleep on the floor. No true apology or validation of inconvenience. Frequent front royal area every other month and always book here, impacted to not moving forward. Room quality is great, pool area is great, no other issues.

The front desk staff was very friendly and very polite. They were able to give us great places to eat dinner in the local area.

I spent the day moving and driving the first leg of a cross country trip with my dog, after making reservations at pet friendly hoels only through Expedia was told they were not pet friendly to dogs, But I would have to pay an additional $75.00. I had to pay it and went to my room that had such dim lighting I could not see the numbers on the phone or thethe remote control I called the front desk for lightbulbs at the side of the bed. They dif not have any and told me I was in a newly renovated room and the new fixtures did not work anyway. There was also loud rap and hip hop music coming from a return air vent across from my door. Also hammering. I was told renovations were going on from 8 in the morning until 8 at night. They were also traing large dogs to sniff out bombs and other things. Two of these saw my 13 year old small dog and barked very agressively and scared her and she was charged $75 for one night. Meanwhile they allowed these service dogs were allowed to train here. When I made all of this clear to the front desk they very nicely told me nothing could be done about my bill. No one should ever pay to stay here any time soon.

Very clean and modern

A lovely property with beautiful views and delightful staff. I wish they offered a breakfast buffet every morning, however, while the restaurant is closed. They don't offer breakfast if the hotel has a meeting. But they don't inform the guests!

I like the location of this hotel, including the view and nearby shopping. This was my favorite Front Royal hotel before Covid closure, and I'm glad it reopened (under new management). However, I think booking rooms on a floor where there is construction with power tools from 8am to 8pm 7 days a week without informing guests is not acceptable,

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Shenandoah National Park. It was north of the park about 5-10 minutes. There are plenty of accommodations close by, but you do need to drive into town if you want local food or coffee. We were very pleased with the location, cleanliness, and on site amenities.

Looks brand new!

I don't know how old this property is, but it looks brand new. The lobby is very inviting with a number of spaces for people to gather, with a gorgeous fireplace as its centerpiece. The decor colors are beautiful. Hallways are light & carpets look brand new. Our room was bright, clean and beds were very comfortable. Pool & Hot tub were super clean. Pool was a little chilly, but once you are in its good. Breakfast was very good also! overall, a great stay!

Only reason their property conditions wasn’t 5 start is due to renovations

3 day stay for hiking adventure

Had a great stay. Every hotel desk member was awesome and beyond helpful! Room was large and very clean. Wish the juzzi was working but it was hot, just no jets. Also, Houlihan was closed for reno and that would’ve been nice to have been open. 15min from entrance to skyline/shenadoah and 45 to 1.15 hr drive to lots of amazing hiking.
