Great staff and loved the room

Butter Chicken I ordered for dinner was fantastic. But there were not too many pieces of chicken.

The room wasn't very clean, there were leftovers form a previous guest in the fridge, and the shower had hair in it. It overall didn't feel very clean, the bed was hard the AC was loud. The TV was broken and I couldn't get the wifi working. Took me 3 tries to get ahold of room service. Would not stay again or recommend. The front desk manager was very good and eficient.

From check in to check out double tree made our stay memorable. The area around can be a deterrent for some but the homeless around don’t seem to be aggressive, but stay guarded and use caution anytime. The LRT is close, about a 17min walk to Roger’s place. Edmonton occasionally has a stench of sewage. That’s infrastructure and nothing the hotel can do. Our room was clean, and in the closet there was removable hangers which was a win for me. Everything worked. You can tell they have made some renovations. You can’t make an old building brand new and if you fix your high standard will find it is perfect. Whirlpool is nice with jets, the breakfast was extra for us, no buffet style, it was delicious, parking is 35. Convenience and proximity to Roger’s place for the win!

Everything starting with check in was top notch. Taran was great, prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The inside of the hotel was very clean. The only thing with this hotel was the fact that there were many homeless or addicts in the area. More of an eye sore for the area. With that being said we never felt unsafe. There was always security or police patrols in the area so I would say we felt extra safe. We would walk from the hotel downtown and we walked to and from a concert at Roger’s place. Did not feel unsafe but as two single women we did remain aware of the area. Special thanks to Front staff Samuel for going the extra mile and assisting us far beyond what would be expected. He was very friendly and personable. Always smiling and very knowledgeable about the area.

We stayed here for The Weeknd’s concert and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the station, which made getting to and from the venue easy. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and the hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained . Would stay here again!

Nice hotel! Friendly staff and close to everything in downtown.

We stayed at the Hilton in downtown Edmonton. Once inside the facility it was nice and inviting. The chocolate chip cookie was 10/10! We paid an extra $35 a night to park inside because it is extremely unsafe in the area. The view from the hotel is homeless people all around and dirty windows. There is no free parking outside either. To get inside you need to squeeze between this tiny garage door to the underground parking. Once inside it was very nice minus the flickering fluorescent lights. Elevators were great. Room was great but not worth the price in my opinion. It was just like any other hotel. We also had to buy breakfast vouchers. You get a choice of breakfast items. There is no continental breakfast which I was under the impression of. Breakfast tasted great but it was just your average hotel continental breakfast items if you know what I mean. Ok so the part that totally floored me, to exit the underground parking you have to go up the out ramp and then get out of your vehicle and push the open door button to get out of the parkade. In my opinion I wouldn’t stay again, I can stay elsewhere and have more amenities for a cheaper price. Downtown Edmonton realllyyyyy needs some help.

Charging $35 plus for parking is stupid. Park next door for $15 bucks a day.

Nice but has downfalls

The hotel was beautiful, beds were comfortable, rooms were very big. The property was modern and once you are inside, it is safe. All of the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The underground parking is so expensive ($35) and if you have a bigger vehicle (we have a ZR2) it is extremely difficult to get into the underground parking the way that it is situated,, but the alternative is to park in a nearby parking. I can’t remember what the fee is (around $10) . It is not a safe neighborhood and your vehicle would most definitely not be secure. Breakfast is not included, You would think that for the price that you were paying that they would either give you parking or breakfast, but no, neither is included. this may be unpopular, but It is worth being aware, There is an enormous homeless population immediately outside the hotel, there is a jail and a hospital nearby, which I think increases the likelihood of homelessness and drug use, that said police presence is constant. I would say there was police issuing tickets and showing their presence every 15-30minutes or so. But even so,I would not recommend going out alone in the evening.

Cleanliness of the room wasn’t as expected. And the area around the hotel was full of homeless people you can’t even walk around safely.

The room is spacious and the facility is good. The hotel is quite new and the staff is nice. However, when I booked, I mentioned there would be 4 people but there were only 3 sets of towels in the bathroom. We needed to keep requesting for a set during the 2 days of stay. And there was no toilette and slippers provided, very different from the last time when I stayed in Holiday Inn.

Parking was great. Room was nice but not sure it was properly cleaned, we found takeout food left in our refrigerator. The property looks modern but there were alot of homeless and intoxicated people loitering outside the main entrance all day and night. However, once inside this wasn't an issue. I would highly reccomend using the underground parking facility.

Parking is a nightmare if you have a truck

The restaurant was nice, as was the massive hot tub. The room was always warm and even with the AC on 24/7, which was noisy, it never really cooled down. Also, even though I was there 5 nights, they never replaced dirty glasses with clean ones. The area surrounding the hotel was unfortunately not very nice, with a lot of vagrancy and drug use, though I understand this is outside of the hotel's control.

The stay was average. Not happy about having to pay for parking, which is not clearly indicated online. Housekeeping tried entering my room at 9am while I was still sleeping, after a long day of travel and a change of time zones. Thank goodness I had the deadbolt in place. If the guest is not indicated as having checked out - their room should be left alone.

The room is clean and big. And the staff were very supportive.

The staff person on the front desk was extremely helpful. The hotel is quite new, spacious and well appointed. THE location is convenient for dining and the theatre, but downtown Edmonton is still a work in progress in terms of attractiveness.

Facilities are excellent, however some of the staff on the front desk need lessons in how to be courteous and helpful on phone conversations.

Staff was the worst i left my wallet at the airport wouldnt even let me check in , then get all that sorted and i got for a smoke at 1230am while my wife is sleeping come back dont have a key card wouldnt let me up to my room theb called my wife she came down and then they wouldnt let us both up because she didnt bring down her id. We came from our room what more did u want. I almost had to call the cops to let me go get my stuff out the room the security gaurd did nothing but stand there in fear. I wit was my wifes anniversary and we didnt even get a chance tp eat our 150$ room service because how terrible our night went. Dont stay here at alll might be a nice place but thats how they sucker u in

This is not a normal Hilton property and definitely not a 4 star hotel! My room wasn't clean so I had trouble sleeping because of allergies. The parkade was poorly designed, so hard to navigate into and around in (plus they charge $35/night for it, which is ridiculous). The lounge staff were brutal and ignored me. I sat watching the hockey game for 25 mins and they walked around me. My shower's shampoo was empty. Lots of other little things that make this a cheap hotel that charges too much. I had to go to the lobby to use the only microwave and go to the bar to get ice. I had to use the stairs and couldn't use any of the 3 elevators. Go to a Hilton Garden Inn instead. Similar price point

Parking was expensive, but there is a pay lot right next door for less than half the price. 24 hr gym is nice, decently equipped. Place is overall clean, affordable, and a decent location, there is a liquor store right downstairs too.

Location, cleanliness and price

Stayed here as we were in town for an Oilers game. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Rogers Place, part of which you can do fully indoors. The area directly around the hotel isn’t amazing with lots of boarded up windows but walking back from the game we did not feel unsafe. Room was good - lots of space and the bed was quite comfortable. Only minor issue was we couldn’t figure out the bathroom door lock but perhaps just user error? Even though the hotel seemed busy for the game, there was ample room in the underground parkade (yes, the entry/exit doors to the parkade are a bit odd, but the parkade itself was fine). All in all, would stay here again in the future.

My family and I arrived at 2:00 am in Edmonton. The check in person was so rude. She advised us that we were "late" for arrival and would need to wait an hour to be issued keys to a room. She said the problem was that we booked through Expedia. We had to wait one hour while the check in desk person completed her audit. We booked a major hotel with a 24 hour check in desk so that we could arrive late and go directly to bed. I complained about the service to Expedia. The manager of the Hotel did call us in the afternoon the next day to offer us breakfast after. That person was very understanding and explained that this was not usual and that it had been a busy night earlier. We had a very bad experience with check in. The actual hotel is very nice.

Downtown in general is a bit of a gong show. Lots of homeless, drug addicts etc the least this property could do that I would consider coming back to stay is complementary parking. Needles in the parking lot, shady people around vehicles not safe to park outside. Otherwise the price reflects the area it is in I’d be staying closer to the stadium next time so I can park and walk where there is security to the next game.

The room was great but unfortunately we had to evacuate for a fire alarm at 1235 am... we are traveling with a 3 yr old so it was inconvenient.

We checked in at 4pm.. I complained that there wasn’t a bedding in the couch mattress.. They expected us to sleep on a mattress without a fitted sheet, then said it would take until 830pm for one to be clean for the bedroom.

The location of the hotel is great and the cookie you get at check in is the best part! It was kept in a warmer and was perfect! The room deposit isn’t huge and was refunded to my car before I made it out of the hotel.

Loved the comfy beds and large room with sofa. Beautiful new building but the area a few blocks away reveals homeless ppl. Although we didn’t have any problems from them.

Excellent hotel to stay in Edmonton

My stay was amazing, alone time from home and work to recharge with friends. The front desk lady was superb, she made check in and check out process easy and very kind and caring. She asked how my evening was at an event I attended which made it personable. She was the highlight of the great service given. I will continue to stay at this hotel. Every time I’m in Edmonton, this is my go to place to stay. Excellent job!

Not what I want to see after a long work day

I have stayed at this hotel in the past without complaint. It is a rougher neighborhood with many street people in the area but I would deal with that to stay in a newer, clean and well maintained hotel. Unfortunately the hotel is not being well maintained. The hallway outside my room did not look Like it had been vacuumed in days. Basic things like replace the worn and grimy “clean” stickers throughout room…. The room carpet also had bits of debris (get staff a decent vacuum or train them to use it). Bathroom shower has mildew and walls in room had sticky marks from previous guests. This is after I changed rooms due to other peoples hair in bathroom. The young staff were nice and apologetic but hotel is not being managed well. I travel regularly on business and cleanliness is my biggest concern on any hotel whether it be a 2 or 5 star. Regrettably, I will not be back.

Was very clean, inviting and the front desk staff were very friendly and polite. The $35 per night parking charge seemed a bit much, however I can understand it.

Clean and big rooms

The area was littered with crack heads. You definitely want to pay for the parking garage unless you want your vehicle broke in to. We asked for non feather pillows 2 with no results , finally the 3rd time we got the pillows at 11pm at night. The room was clean but average at best.

Really good stay, nice spacious room. Staff were really good, great cookies! Nice and close to Roger’s. We had oversized truck so couldn’t park underground, parked in adjacent parking lot instead. The parking pay app wasn’t working so got a $90 ticket.

This hotel is a don’t judge a book by its cover! When we arrived we turned down the outer side next to a shelter, the management team decided to use plain worn plywood to cover the windows on that side of the building. One would think the hotel was abandoned closed down if you never went in front of the building. Not sure why the owner didn’t feel this amazing little establishment should be neglected like this. I for one would have certainly show cased my establishment with material that would have been more pleasing to the visual eye. Perhaps investing into material that would have made this place pop siding or stucco better options. When you walk inside it’s immaculately clean, staff are super friendly eager to please their guest, the rooms beautifully spacious and the dining experience amazing great tasting food! Message to the owner you have a gold mind here with amazing staff invest in your outside property don’t get petty because the city isn’t helping you with the exterior issues. Instead rise above it and look for alternative ways to showcase your property so your customers feel comfortable and safe staying in your establishment.

Only stayed one night but super easy, only piss off was the sharp 4pm check in but that was only if you talked to the one person the other 2 were letting you check in prior to 4pm

Great staff and clean

The staff were polite and made the process of checking in and out quick and easy. I would have hoped for easier access to water, a single water bottle in our room would have made a big difference.

Hotel is really nice. The rooms are great and very clean and spacious. The bar is beautiful and the bar staff were outstanding. The breakfast buffet was OK. There was one particular staff member that was a little aggressive and abrupt. The area is a little sketchy. Walking around the area was not the most comfortable experience. One side of the building is boarded up and I am not quite sure what that was all about.

Overall the stay was pleasant and relaxing and the staff were great. I don't appreciate the corporate nickle and diming...$35 plus tax for parking is outrageous.

Breakfast as not included as stated. Other than that it was a beautiful hotel with underground parking, but you have to pay for parking, it was not included. Lovely staff though. It's in a sketchy part of Downtown Edmonton, when we arrived there was a firetruck and Ambulance on the same block dealing with an overdose. The next day there was a fight so we had to walk 6 blocks out of the way to avoid it. Yikes!

I feel safe and the underground parking was really awesome

I checked in and had to check out within just 20 minutes. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff set the tone—no smile, no enthusiasm, and an attitude that made it seem like he hated his job. As a guest, a warm welcome goes a long way, but unfortunately, that was missing here. I had specifically booked an accessible room, but the room we were given had a bathtub instead of a walk-in shower. Accessible means accommodating those who cannot step into a tub, yet the front desk guy insisted this was correct. My wife, who requires a truly accessible shower, had no way to use it. With no alternative offered, we had no choice but to check out within 20 minutes. This is a big issue but another thing to mention. As a Hilton Honors member, I am familiar with the DoubleTree cookies served at all locations. Here, we were given cookies with nuts, and when questioned, we were told it was standard. I can’t verify that, but we had to discard them.

This is my second stay at this property. I requested a different floor because of the noise on 10. But the 11th floor kept us up all night with a banging noise.
