Dormy inn brand always been a pleasure to stay with. Great amenities and convenient location however unfortunate that the rooms booked not on close to each other or on the same floor as requested but other than that, the hotel itself is great. It had great breakfast selection and onsen amenities plus supper option (ramen)
Great hotel.
The onsen was lovely.
The room is very crowded and the double bed is too small to sleep two people. Staff members are not very friendly especially those at the front desk, no greeting and cold when asked for help. It was the worst experience of hotel stay we have ever had.
Tokyo stay with hot spring access
Perfect for a one night stay. Access to the hot spring all night. Complimentary snacks right outside the hot spring area. Great breakfast buffet spread.
Great place to stay for our first few nights in Tokyo. Service was excellent and we loved the breakfast.
We enjoyed the onsen facilities. Though small, there was both indoor and outdoor baths, cold bath and sauna.
Staffs did not provide information for luggage storage service.
Convenient location
Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I didnt have any problems. Location convenient if you are looking for a place to stay near Shibuya and Shinjuku.
Breakfast buffet is a plus. 7-eleven is also just around the corner with easy access to metro. Transporting to/from Tokyo station may require a bit more planning but nothing an Uber ride cannot take care of. Can access other areas easily through the metro.
Affordable room in Tokyo with lots of amenities
Shelf check in & checkout. (Kiosk Machine) Understand this is new machine, need an employee to help all the travelers to use that. After figure out how to use that. It will be very convenience for people to check in and out at any time.
Super easy access to Hibiya line which takes you to GINZA and Ueno in one trip. Very friendly and helpful hotel staff. Free ramen after 9:30 pm is also very attemping
Overall, this was a good place to stay for a week in Tokyo. The only issue we had was with how dusty our room was, despite daily cleaning from the hotel staff. The baths were great, the free ice cream was delicious, and everything else was very satisfactory.
Service is not up to the Japanese standards.
Great hotel but bit of lacking in the friendliness of the staff. We only had two pillows for the family of four. Requested over the phone for two more pillows. We were told to come and pick it up. After a long journey two young kids, we would have appreciated if they had brought the pillows to our room/
love the breakfast. very Japanese style. love the location, just next to Subway station. very safe, even in the midnight. feel really safe, coffee shop, restaurants are still open. people are walking on the street
We will definitely come back again!!
Convenient transportation, nice breakfast and complimentary evening ramen
Great location!
This hotel is always my preference
The hotel allows me to drop luggage before check-in. When I check-in later, they have already delivered the luggage to the room. Although the Onsen is considered small, it is in central Tokyo where it’s not common to have Onsen in hotel. The free supper - I think the noodle texture. Their breakfast never disappoints me if you like Japanese breakfast
Quiet and near the Kodemmacho. Lots of amenities
This is a great hotel that is meters from the Kodemmacho station and beside a 7-11. There are complimentary drinks, ramen noodles, ice cream, yogurt drinks, massage chair and an onsen. We would stay here again. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel and the area is quiet.
As other Dormy Inns, the overall quality was excellent. The hot spring is always something to look for and the complementary noodles for dinner were lovely.
The morning staff is not as friendly as the nightshift staff. They were grumpy and not helpful. Don't bother asking them questions as they're not willing to give you any answers. There is one particular female staff at the front desk who works at night that was very pleasant and spoke English very well. Too bad I didn't get her name, she was the only one who smiled. Other than the poor service in the morning, we enjoyed the amenities at this hotel. Train station and 7-11 are just next door.
Friendly check in service at night. Enjoyed the late night free ramen!
Enjoyed our stay at this quiet neighborhood, even though dining options are limited. The onsen facility is a bit small, but it was quiet and not crowded most of the time. Hotel buffet breakfast was excellent!
First experience in a hot spring. The etiquette was explained well I Had a lovely stay. They don't have many options for vegans. The breakfast was a bit sparce.
We checked in really late and the staff was really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast very much! Loved the massage chairs and free popsicles and yogurt drinks.
Simple and convenient.
Really enjoyed the public baths and sauna - a refreshing morning and evening ritual, along with the massage chairs right outside the baths. They have nice complimentary ice cream treats in the evenings and yakult drinks in the mornings, and the rooms have a nice selection of hojicha, sencha, and coffee, as well as complimentary jellies on arrival that my kids enjoyed. We missed out on the free ramen bowls at 9:30pm due to being full around that time every night, but reports were that they are good. The rooms were cozy but compact, just like the one-size-fits-all child-sized slippers and double beds that are not quite big enough for taller couples who need more space to stretch out. Overall though, I'm really happy with Dormy -- it definitely checked the boxes for a good quality, central Tokyo hotel with hot springs and sauna
Definitely coming back
I loved the food, Japanese breakfast and the Onsen. It was convenient to the trains and comfortable.
This hotel was wonderful- the onsen was heaven, and the breakfast was amazing! Late night free ramen was the icing on the cake.
Located very close to a subway station enabling easy access anywhere in Tokyo. Neighborhood has more of a business feel than a tourist feel so it felt more authentically Japanese. Able to communicate well enough with local shops using my minimal Japanese language skills.
Close to public transport. Rooms were very small and the pillows very hard. Otherwise a good hotel to stay.
We did not take advantage of onsen or ramen noodles, so unsure how those are
Good
Will stay again
Enjoy onsen everyday
Clean with a nice public bath
They offer nice bath pool.
Excellent breakfast!
Very convenient, near subway station
It was always wonderful experience at Dommy Inn.
Good food and facilities.
Great location very close to tokyo subway. Deicious breakfast. Very clean room.
Great introduction to Tokyo!
A fantastic place to stay for an introduction to Tokyo and Japan. Really enjoyed the onsen, the breakfast, and the free evening ramen. Room was well laid out for the size. (Size was as advertised.) Shower was good but we typically used the onsen showers. Conveniently located for touring Tokyo. All in all can highly recommend this hotel.
Very good location. Close to subway and near family mart and 7-11. The hotel provided excellent customer services and the stay was comfortable but a bit too small.
Location is not bad. However, this hotel is unlike others, the check-out time is at 11:00am, we checked out at 11:50am & was charged for late check-out. Almost all hotels in the world the check-out time is 12:00 noon. We stayed for 7 nights & I think the hotel should not charged us. And when I spoke to the front desk staff, her attitude was very bad. I would not recommend my friends to stay in this hotel.
Receptionists were really nice and helpful!
The hot spring was an amazing feature! We loved using it every night, as well as the massage chairs. Breakfast was delicious, and it was really nice that they offered free ramen as a late night snack, as well as ice cream! What a lovely treat.
One of the rooms has very bad smell about the air conditioning, and the staff change it for us immediately. Excellent service!
The only thing I didn’t like was the bed pillows. Very Hard
Wonderful amenities and nice and quiet, clean
The rooms like everything else in Japan are clean and well maintained. The public bath and amenities are good. The room was way too small and breakfast was not included and way overpriced so had to go out for breakfast. This place might be good if you only have a backpack and you are by yourself. One has to crawl across the bed to get to the far side of the bed and there is very little room for luggage.
Loved the onsen and laundry facility. Late night soba noodles a real treat.
Fine hotel but uncomfortable beds
The hotel was fine but the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable I left with back and hip pain!
I had a great stay, steps from train station, nice breakfast, room is clean, with nice indoor hot spring, sauna, and bath. I could drop off my bags when i arrived early, and needed to keep them for few hours when checked out as my flight was late. Helpful staff in the front desk.
Convenient location
Breakfast was wonderful. and Hot Sprint was very clean and quiet. i feel much safer and relaxed
First time, but will definitely come back
Loved it
I enjoyed my stay here. Close to metro station and easy access to anywhere in Tokyo. Room is slightly larger than some typical business hotel in Japan. Very good Japanese style breakfast and onsen was a extra bonus.
Nice onsen, very busy, staff were not very welcoming. Had stressed messages from the staff asking about overseas travel, which they then didn't read so I had to repeat myself over and over.
The public bath was amazing, extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious and the room was very clean.
Decent hotel with nice breakfast and onsen. Room was not big but similar to most Tokyo hotel.
Ultra soft water is awesome. I wish I had that in my home. There are both indoor and outdoor onsens. A vending machine has all kinds of milk from meiji.
Good hotel
It was a good stay for a short layover in Tokyo. The hotel is located in the business district of the city, there are not a lot of restaurants nearby. Of course, you can find convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. Room is very small, just like many other hotels in Japan, but the public bath was excellent and breakfast was delicious. If you visit Tokyo for business, it is a good choice.
Very good hotel with nice hot spring. The room is nice and clean
Excellent location and good hot spa, with free coffee at lobby
Room is large compared to most Tokyo properties. Bath with outdoor area and supper in the evening.. Pillow is a bit small and hard
Great amenities—with an onsen, free late-night bowl of ramen and a delicious breakfast (Japanese and European fare available), I definitely would recommend staying at a Dormy Inn Premium Hotel. There is a difference in amenities and overall quality at this hotel. There’s also a great stationary store connected to it.
Staffs really helpful and friendly, make room clean like first day check in, nearby train station, super market, 7 eleven, Family mart, ease to find and take dinner, some more can get free bus to Tokyo Station every half hour!
Second time staying at this hotel and we love it just as much! We will definitely stay at this hotel again on our next visit!
Another Fabulous Dormy Inn
This was my second stay at a Dormy Inn Premium and it was all-around fantastic. The room is massive by Tokyo standards and the indoor/outdoor onsen is lovely. Helpful staff, clean and quiet room. Not much of interest in the vicinity but it's easy to get to more interesting places b/c a subway station is about a minute from the hotel.
Location is super close to subway station (not JR), and very clean room. Overall feeling is very good. And with free ramen at night.
Hotel is located right next to Kodenma-cho station. However, there are many stairs to climb in Kodenma-cho station before reaching the hotel if you are coming from Narita airport. Great amenities such as late night ramen, in-house onsen, limited shuttle to Tokyo station, etc. Rooms is decent size and clean.
My go to location
We have stayed at this dormy Inn location twice. It’s not in a well known area but is right next to the grey line, which makes getting on the train so easy. They have better coffee than other Dormy Inns I’ve stayed in. Service has always been very good and someone at the desk speaks English
Great Hotel with Japanese Hot Spring
Great hotel close to Tokyo station. Double doors on the room so super quite to get a great night sleep. Hit spring Japanese bath very authentic with out door bathing area. Very clean and room so quite ok for Tokyo.
Very good hotel.Convenient location.Very polite staff.
Proximity to city. Availability of baths was a big plus.
Liked the stylish decor, shuttle bus to Tokyo station, laundry facilities, next door to metro. Didn’t like the costly breakfast, no free drinks at onsen, neighborhood slightly lacking food choices.
Great hotel
Dormy Inn Premier Kononmacho - largish room for Tokyo. The sink and toilet area are separate. Has a safe and laundry facilities and the onsen is great with an indoor and outdoor baths. Not enough electrical plugs. Beds are hard and the pillows harder but that’s typical Japanese hotel. The beds were huge considering they were supposed to be twins. A little ways from Tokyo station but still very nice. Clean.
Great location and amenities
The hot spring was great, but smaller than akihabara dormy inn. Location is great, next to Kodenmacho (Hibiya line) and about 12 mins walk to akihabara station, all the amenities you will need for travel (ironing, washer (Free), supper (free).
Love the onsite spa. Super clean and ample room space. Very convenient location!
Public bath, free ramen noodle at night, location to station, free shuttle to Tokyo Station
5 seconds walk from the station. 2 seconds walk from 7-11. Clean and pleasant front desk, room and shared big bath.
Nice hotel and next to a subway station.
Nice facility but a bit small room. Free ramen very night is nice touch and the hot spring is very. Very convenient, a subway station next to the hotel.
Very clean, a little cramped.
Bathroom was very nice, compared to most in Japan. Soft water, which some may not like, was a plus for us. Breakfast buffet is amazing! The room where the beds are is cramped. There's no room to maneuver with suitcases, etc. One day they didn't clean the room because we forgot to take the keycard out of the light switch, so don't forget that. This place overall is WAY better than Dormy Inn Express. If you don't know Japanese it's difficult to manipulate the a/c/heater unit. The location is not ideal if you want a quick place to go eat, since it's in a business district. However it's about 2 steps away (literally) from the Kodemmacho Tokyo Metro Station.
Room a bit small to get around if you have luggage opened. Complimentary breakfast has a good variety of Japanese food and cereals/bread. Level 11 indoor and outdoor onsen are so relaxing. Washing machine is free but you need to pay for dryer ¥100 per 20 minutes. Nightly free noodles from 9:30-11pm is a bonus.
Nice and unique place to stay, great that they provided shuttle service too
Excellent facilities and services. Location is right at the center of Tokyo ans close to Tokyo station.
Awesome location, clean facilities
Location is amazing, right next to a subway station. Hot spring is an added bonus, as well as onsite laundry.
Nice location , near to train station . Come with Hot Spring bath
The Dormy Inn is a great chain of hotels to stay at. The rooms aren't crazy huge, but spacious considering the location in Tokyo. At 6'4", I was worried about the size of the beds, but I was able to sleep quite comfortably. The inn features it's own onsen/spa with both indoor and outdoor hot pools to soak in, as well as a sauna. There are separate areas for both men and women. The evening free Ramen was an enjoyable surprise and hit the spot right before bed. The provided pajamas were a bit small, and the top was a bit scratchy, but didn't impact our stay at all. The staff were very friendly and we're able to point out local spots for food and shopping. Of all the hotels we stayed at during our stay in Japan, the Dormy Inns were the most comfortable.
Nice hot spa at Dormy inn
The hot spa at the hotel was enjoyable. However staff don’t really speak English. When I checked in on 16 oct (I knew that I was early but didn’t expect to go into my room) the staff at the counter were not very Friendly. Location was very good and nice restaurants around the area
Nice hotel very close to metro station. Hot spring and sauna are good and clean. Really enjoyed the stay.
Good second visit
My second visit.Still satisfied with everything.
It was my fourth time in this hotel and it is a great hidden gem. The rooftop spa is amazing. I never use showers in the room as the early morning and late night hot spring is much better. Also I like their breakfast.
Clean and good access anywhere in Tokyo Next door have nice Japanese rice paper shop.
Hotel with Onsen Spa
The onsen is amazing. It is very good to ease aching muscles after a long day sightseeing. The room is very compact, but has everything that you require. The air conditioning is very good, and has a sleep mode. Transport via subway is easy from Kodemmacho Subway Station, about 15 meters away. I would recommend getting a combo subway pass. There is also a shuttle that runs to Tokyo station in the morning. There are complimentary noodles from 21.30 each evening.
MJ
Relatively it was good. And, I think I will stay again next time, if I go to Tokyo.
Fantastic Hotel!
Everything about the hotel was exceptional, friendly and helpful staff, nice, clean & quiet room, very comfortable bed, fantastic breakfast, great facilities. Spa was very clean, enjoyable and relaxing. Great location. I was very pleased with my stay & I hope to be back in the future. Highly recommended
Like: 1. The onsen and the unlimited free ice popsicles and ramen every night 2. Delicious breakfast buffet 3. Free welcoming sweets Dislike: 1. Pillows and the mattresses are a bit hard. 2. No escalators or elevators at the subways nearby. It’s tough to carry the heavy luggages when walking upstairs or downstairs
