Great location and friendly staff.

All good except the desk

This was definitely an amazing hotel. It has a good location and it has a good restaurant and the rooms are clean and awesome. The weird thing is no matter which person was working the desk they were not friendly and acted like they were doing us a favor waiting on us. Maybe that's just their age.

The property needs an upgrade, it was a hot day. The air conditioning barely blew any air. Thank goodness the window opened after dark. I asked for 2 more pillows and I was told 2 pillows per person. (I did end up getting 2 more pillows), I had to argue to get them.

It was amazing stay at Dorint An Der Messe. It was clean, tidy and comfy. However, it will be good if they can review the pillow materials to make it more supportive.

Excellent location here at Cologne

Beautiful hotel, excellent location near the alt markt and river. Only had one issue when the payment was taken out by the hotel when it was already paid in advance when I made the booking via hotel dot com. Obviously it was a human mistake but you very quickly resolved the issue and the hotel staff were very apologetic. That is the reason why I still going to give you an excellent review. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Well maintained and clean Hotel. Rooms are bright and spacious. Great location if you are visiting the arena. Otherwise be prepared for 1-2 km walks. At the same time, the surroundings seem to be safe at any time of day or night, and there is a tram stop right in front of the hotel

Good location for Lanxess arena. Not a lot in the immediate area but a short scooter ride to all the action

I booked into this hotel simply because it was graded as giving its Expedia Guests VIP access and special offers such a free upgrade to next room level and other special offers for Expedia Gold Status Guests .. At check in , One could only describle the check in as very cold ! Hardly a smile , no eye contact - no mention of Expedia VIP access and any special offers related to that .. Expedia was not mentioned . No mention of breakfast or any other dining options within the hotel . I have booked many hotel bookings through expedia over several years ..It felt at reception that i was not welcomed at this hotel ... No problem i will use another hotel next time ...

Hotel was clean, but air conditioning in the rooms was not working properly. The rooms got super hot, as did the gym. Was hard to sleep.

Conviently situated in the heart of Cologne, nice clean room, comfy bed, slept well, the only issue I have is with staff, reception not freindly, not welcoming, bar staff afternoon unfreindly, evening staff great, breakfast staff not freindly. some technical issues not too serious also need attention, I did state them to the reception staff.

The staff are so nice and the restaurant serves great food and is really cosy. Super barman also.

Fridge in room does not get colder then 50 f / 10 c. When I called the receptionist they said that they cannot help since all the rooms have the same fridge. They should not post that the rooms have a fridge if it can’t get to a degree to keep food fresh.

Due to German covid rules, we did not go to the hotel. We lost the use of our booking -paid for but unable to utilize. Very Disappointed. The hotel did offer to change a name for one of our friends to use. We could not find anyone that could use especially with the current German rules.

Expedia posts under car parking, that a few places are available. The hotel states, that no own parking spaces are available and that a public parking, which is connected to the hotel basement, is available only at a cost of 25 EUR per day. The description by Expedia is wrong and misleading.

Lack of service and cleanliness during COVID-19

We booked the Hotel because of its brands great reputation, and the fact that the DFL had approved the Hotel to host Soccer teams. Finding the prior guests beverages in our rooms refrigerator, was very disturbing; especially during current COVID-19 cleanliness requirements. When we addressed our concerns; in addition to a couple of other concerns; we received a disturbing lax response. As prior guests beverages were not removed the following day either; we approached the Housekeeper directly, learning that she was not aware at all. Breakfast & Dinner servers were good, but Culinary team very weak; with exception of one. Breakfast was less than mediocre and very inconsistent. Communication was poor; we ask about Spa area availability prior to arrival, and were told it was closed; but might open during our 11-day stay. We inquired again at check-in; requested to be informed when Spa would open. Needless to say; we learned during check-out that the Spa had opened July 1st; but we were never informed. Closing we would say; that we felt cheated on various services and occasions; and could have stayed at the Hyatt (for $18 more a night); Maritim and Pullman for less than what we paid. Providing us with a couple of Drink vouchers; which we were entitled to anyways, because of "every other day" Housekeeping service; did not make us happier. FD person should have realized that at the latest, when we requested the GM's business card.

centrally located, awesome breakfast and German Clean!!

On arrival, we were given a room which, when we went to it, had obviously been smoked in. However, when we approached reception about this, we were given another room at our request. This room was much better. The spa area was good and very welcome after a day in the city. The breakfast choices were good and plentiful. The hotel is a distance from the city centre, but there is a tram which stops just outside. We found the reception staff helpful but VERY impersonal. It would have been good to have a warmer welcome such as 'We hope you enjoy your stay' and, on leaving, 'Hope to see you again'.

Dorint needs a refresh to entice past clients back

I have used the dorrint for the last five years and this time it was more apparent that the hotel was less attractive that it was 5 years ago . We booked a superior room again but little things marred the stay and on reflection made us think we need to change to somewhere else. The breakfast this time was not included so we paid the 26 euros per person to eat in the restaurant but myself and partner and our friends after using the facility found the selection limited and even bland from our previous visits the cooked selection was or had been left for a period of time. We used the bar facilities in the evening this after a pleasant walk from the Dom but again from past experience we found nothing positive to compare with from the past visits .

Staff were very friendly and welcoming, room was warm and very clean. Didnt realise we had tea and coffee making facilities until the last day, they were not in an obvious location. The double room we booked didnt initially have a double bed but two single beds pushed together. After speaking to the reception we were moved to another room straight away. Hotel was a great location to travel into and around Cologne.

Where do I start..the pool was not heated so too cold in the winter. On the last day I got locked out of my room although requested late check out the day before. I was standing there in my rope for over 30 minutes as noone could help me right away for security reasons. Funny because speaking of, the day before our second key card for the hotel room was taken by the cleaner personnel. We only stayed 2 nights but anyone could have made a copy and enter our room while we were out. So all together a terrible organised hotel. The staff should have: A. Extended my hotel entry card the minute I called for late check out, so I dont get locked out of my room like an idiot in the morning and B. have higher standards in personell and offered us new key card's when we reported (!) one "stolen" yes, although im sure the cleaner only accidentally took the card, its technically stolen. Over 200 pounds for 2 nights, and they charged 2.50 for the spa ropes. (Seriously?) Ridicilous.

No internet.

The stay was ok, the hotel was very clean. However, as I was there for a business trip internet is essential for me. Nowhere I was able to connect to the internet (also no paid wifi). For this reason, I do not think I will be coming back.

Customer service and empathy is very poor. My bag was stolen in the breakfast area during breakfast and they cared nothing. I had to push for calling police too. I thought no someone internal to hotel would have stolen that's why the response with hotel staff is very cold

Would be better if the reception staff would proactively advise people that they need keys if they want to use lockers in the spa area. Everything else was perfect.

Our room was ready on arrival at 11.30am even though check in wasn't until 3.00pm. Room was a good size exceptionally quiet with a comfortable bed the duvet and pillows were the so soft it was the best 4 nights sleep I've had in a long time. The surrounding area didn't have much to offer unless your attending an event at the Koelnmesse but the old town was an easy 25mins walk alternatively there was both a tram stop and rail station visible from the front of the hotel Hotel staff spoke excellent English and were very pleasant and helpful. We would definately recommend this hotel for a quiet comfortable stay.

Booked a standard room so wasn’t expecting much, it far exceeded our expectations. Close walk to the centre and if you are visiting for the convention centre or the arena it’s the perfect location. Would stay here again.

It was an excellent location for our convention and the amenities were nice. The food in the restaurant was very good and we enjoyed our meals there. Our only complaint was the cost of breakfast, other hotels in the area offered discounts for breakfast if you paid upfront which made it more affordable, we would have eaten there more had it been less that 20€.

The spa was nice. The Air conditioning was terrible and did not work well. Also did not like the carpet in rooms.

Excellent condition the room was in when we checked in. Locationwise also great. Just did not like having to pay so much for parking.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff were attentive. Location was excellent. Aircon didn’t work. VIP and didn’t get room upgrade but noisy room on front. Noisy road. Small bed when there was room for king size made sleeping in the heat and noise uncomfortable. Got 10% off our drinks/food bill but had to remind them to take off bill total! Lovely Lindt chocolate hearts on checkout.

The location is excellent. Close to restaurants and bsrs and within walking distance of the Rhein, can't beat this plsce.

Great Hotel For Exhibition Centre

Nice hotel with good size rooms, very comfortable and the inclusion of a coffee machine and Chrome Cast Tv was great for the little downtime I had. Beds comfortable and plenty of storage in the room. Only 15 minutes from the airport as well which is a bonus.

Goed hotel

Übliches Messehotel, die Zimmer waren ok, die Ausstattung allerdings auch schon ein bisschen verjährt. Der Service war sehr schwankend. Beim Checkin hatte ich den unmotiviertesten Mitarbeiter erwischt, ich habe daher seiner Kollegin zugehört, die alle Services des Hotels beschrieb. Die Parkmöglichkeit ist lächerlich, eine öffentliche Garage mit völlig unverhältnismäßigen Abzockpreisen (typisch Köln halt).

Bedingungen im Frühstücksraum zwischen 9 und 10 Uhr sind unterirdisch. 30 Euro pro Person sind das Frühstück nicht wert wenn es zu geht wie in einem 2 Sterne Hotel auf Mallorca

Prima, modern hotel, fijn rn lekker ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel. Rondom het hotel was het een enorme bouwput. Bedden van 1.60 waren echt te smal voor ons, zodat we niet beide op ons rug konden liggen tegelijkertijd. De Welness bleek niet bij de prijs inbegrepen en het restaurant was verhuurd ivm een besloten party, wat ervoor zorgde dat gasten geen tafel konden krijgen en wij ons heil en eten buiten de deur diende td zoeken.

Sehr zentral, super freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Zimmer zweckmäßig und sauber. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück. Parkhaus vorhanden, jedoch 32 EUR für 24 Stunden einfach zu teuer.

Obwohl reichlich vorher angemeldet und Kreditkarte hinterlegt war, wurde man am Empfang (ca. 20:30 Uhr) so behandelt als wäre man ein Zechpreller und musste sofort alles bezahlen. Das kenne ich so nicht von anderen Dorint Hotels. Die von mir geforderte Ausstellung einer Rechnung zu diesem Zeitpunkt wurde mir verwehrt, was in sich inkonsequent und nicht kundenfreundlich ist. Beim Zimmer musste ich feststellen, dass der Fußboden aus Schlingenfloor besteht, was viel Staub, etc. einfängt und somit unhygienisch ist (Einmalschuhe wurden nicht bereit gestellt). Bett und Bad wurden hergerichtet, der Fußboden aber nicht gesaugt. Das machen andere Hotels deutlich besser. Somit "zwei Besuche in einem".

Molt satisfactòria

Tot fantàstic: comfort, habitació, instal·lacions, serveis, atenció, esmorzar, ubicació. L’únic petit però és que l’aigua de l’spa estava molt freda.

Sehr kurzer Fussweg zur LanxessArena. Personal an der Rezeption und im Service sehr freundlich. Gutes und ausreichendes Frühstück. Sauberkeit überall sehr gut. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis absolut angemessen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Dorint Köln Messe ist gut, jedoch duschen in der Badewanne ist nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Ekelig waren jedoch die Ablagerung an den Kacheln und Fugen sowie an der Duschwand.

Zimmer top, Frühstück haben wir nicht wahrgenommen, da doch recht teuer. Parkplatz in Tiefgarage 32€/Tag auch recht teuer. Ansonsten ist das Hotel empfehlenswert. Man ist schnell am Bahnhof Messe/Deutz und somit auch schnell in der Kölner City

Tolles Zimmer und schöner Spa Bereich. Wir haben ein Upgrade erhalten und ein Late Check out. Die Lage ist super zentral zum Bahnhof und Innenstadt für den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln super zu erreichen. Der Rhein ist fussläufig 5 Minuten entfernt. Kommen gerne wieder
