This is a unique property right on the water in the old town of Monopoli. We just came at a bad time of year when the restaurant was shut as were many of the businesses in town. It never stopped raining and it felt like the ocean waves might come rugbt in the room. I would definitely go again when the weather is warmer

This property is nothing short of magnificent. From the amazingly appointed and clean rooms to the wonderful and kind and professional staff this hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The location could not have been better. The breakfast every morning was amazing. I just can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We look forward to coming back soon..

The location was the best we experienced in Puglia. It’s located in the Old Town right on the Adriatic. We had a roof top garden and balcony that overlooked the sea. The staff was very friendly and professional. The suites are not all located in the same building but their location added to the charm. Monopoli is a must place to stay.

Room was spacious & beautiful. Lots of storage. Pool area a bit run down. Lots of long black hairs in the shower. Great staff!

The uniqueness of the hotel.

What a view! Great location in historic village. Rooftop restaurant was lovely and the staff and service was friendly and so accommodating. Our room was small but cozy with a cute little Juliet balcony overlooking the sea.

Very comfortable stay in heart of the old town

We had a lovely stay here! The room was very clean with lots of space and great amenities. The locating of the hotel is perfect on the old town and close by a beach. The staff also parks your car on arrival for you and drives you to it on checkout time. We definitely recommend this hotel and thank everyone for a great stay!

A unique welcome in a unique property

Loved Monopoli

Top Notch! Definitely a 5 star! We had the best experience in Monopoli staying at Don Ferrante, the staff was very accommodating and the room was amazing and tight in the water. Morning breakfast was included and such an array of fabulous choices. This hotel is conveniently located right next to restaurants, shopping and the beach. We never left the property because everything was in walking distance. We’d definitely refer our friends and would stay her again for sure!

A wonderful stay.

Perfectly located in the Old Town of Monopoli, the Don Ferrante lived up to all expectations and more. The suite in the guest house was very comfortable and stylish with a beautiful roof terrace overlooking the sea. Everything here ran to perfection, the restaurant was lovely and the staff so helpful, it was a really beautiful experience and a wonderful stay.

Fantastic hotel. It's split into three buildings and we stayed in a room that was in the townhouse and loved it. The staff were all excellent and extremely helpful. We had many great dinners on this Italian trip but the best one we both agree was actually at this hotels rooftop restaurant - food, setting and service were fantastic. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

A wonderful stay at Don Ferrante in Monopoli. We staying in one of the townhouse rooms and it was beautiful with great amenities. Fantastic shower! Very friendly and helpful staff. The location is beautiful and central to everything. They also had a lovely breakfast with lots of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in Monopoli.

We stayed in a stunning room which was meticulously cleaned each day. All the staff were so attentive & friendly. We particularly enjoyed our pre-dinner drinks at the rooftop bar served by the charming Francisco. Breakfast was delicious each day, highly quality food in a relaxed and comfortable setting. We had a truly fantastic stay at a hidden gem hotel in the heart of the beautiful Monopoli. Thank you Don Ferrante!

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town

Amazing !!!

Beautiful property with amazing views of the ocean. Plenty of dining areas within easy walking distance. Staff were extremely helpful and resolved any issues swiftly, which made the stay super enjoyable! Would definitely stay again. Just to note - our room was fairly small so if you are travelling with large bags, it can be a bit of a squeeze however this was expected.

Great Hotel with real customer service

The hallmark of a good hotel is that when something does not go as planned, it is rectified to the satisfaction of the customer. Don Ferrante is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and the rooms cannot be faulted, nor the breakfast. We had a problem which we brought to the attention of the management, and while we did not expect any compensation, they went beyond our expectations in making amends. Congratulations to them as many hotels would not care less. I would highly recommend.any person to stay there.

Pretty hotel with spectacular roof top views

Very nice hotel in the perfect location within Monopoli. The rooftop has spectacular views! Room was comfortable and had a nice size bathroom. Great restaurants close by and historic sites walking distance from the hotel.

Lovely property and well maintained. Breakfast delicious and service friendly. Beautiful views from some of the common areas. Be aware lots of steep steps. Luxury townhome accommodations very lovely. Many nice touches.

Great view but tiny room

The room had a beautiful view right on the water, just a very small room. Well managed + beautiful grounds. We parked in a lot right outside of town 5 min walk, not a big deal in winter but might be hard in summer.

front desk need to be a five star hotel front desk, not a good impression at the beginning, the hotel is really nice but you get scared when you arrived to the front desk.

This place was amazing. The roof deck / bar is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved being close to the sea and swimming. We were also given a cold complimentary bottle of Prosecco. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Hotel was lovely and our room had a fantastic view The superior sea view room we had was super small . Smallest room we ever had almost uncomfortable . It s a cute property, great location but you need to ask for a decent size room if they have them

great stay- avoid basement room

Cute but not worth it

Its a very historic and picturesque location but our room was just too small. Couldn’t even open our suitcases in there. Two sun loungers by the pool so easily overcrowded. Rooftop restaurant has great views but the food is too expensive and didn’t taste much. Overall really poor value for money.

Perfect two nights.

We had the suite which was stunning both inside and with the magical view overlooking the sea. The decor was spot on and the level of comfort was top rate. The service was very friendly and helpful too. Really could not fault it. The pictures don’t do it justice. Only criticisms are: A) the suite has the restaurant above it so you hear the chairs scraping on the bedroom ceiling until 12.30am. B) the breakfast is inside (assume because of point a - it would wake up the guests early). But don’t let the two very minor points put you off. We loved it and would 100% return and stay in the same suite again. As it’s so small and the rooms are individual it’s worth looking at how each room differs - but ours, the don ferrante suite was perfect.

A beautiful quaint hotel with lots of character. Stunning rooms and excellent service

We stayed for just one night in the hotel and wish we had longer! The room was gorgeous, the staff were great and the view from the terrace was awesome. They even left a bottle of Prosecco and a nice welcome letter in our room for us as it was the first night of our honeymoon. The hotel is in a fantastic location with easy access to the main restaurants, bars and shops. Would highly recommend staying here!

No Car Park!

When working abroad I always want a hotel with free parking to take the hassle out of trying to decipher local rules and charges. Despite filtering for 'free parking' this hotel came up and DID NOT have a car park. I don't know if this is the establishments fault or Hotels.com's. Either way it was extremely inconvenient. The hotel itself wad lovely and had I not been on business would have been perfect.

Ideal location by the sea. Everything is first class.

Great hotel to enjoy Monopoli

This is great hotel for your stay in Monopoli. It's in the old town on the seafront. Everything you need is within a few minutes walk. The staff were very helpful. There is free parking around 300 metres away, 2-3 minutes walk.

Excellent hotel

Don Ferrante is an excellent hotel oozing with character and staff who go out of their way to help you. Its location is perfect overlooking the sea with everything you can possibly need within easy walking distance. Only one slight disappointment which others might like to think about when looking for dates to stay. We were at the the Don Ferrante from 3-10 September 2018 which despite the beautiful weather is classed as low season by the hotel . The drawback of this is that you cant have dinner in the evening on the terrace with its wonderful views.

We did not want to leave!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Don Ferrante - it is such a beautiful hotel with the best ocean views. Our room was really spacious and comfortable. The staff could not do enough for us from check in and throughout our stay. Alessio is fantastic in the restaurant - make sure to grab the ocean view seats at breakfast! Monopoli itself is a bustling port town and Don Ferrante is well situated to explore all of its best culinary offering!

Clean, Comfortable, Luxurious, and Convenient

Great time! - Clean and comfortable. - Friendly, helpful staff (most speak English). - Email to coordinate pickup/drop off at Monopoli train station via "tuk tuk" (like a large golf cart). - Pool isn't huge but is clean and great for cooling off, good views. - Breakfast was tasty with lots of options for everyone (including gluten free). - Recommend water shoes if you're planning on swimming, which is easy to do right off of the hotel (entrance through breakfast room). - Parking is difficult in this area of Old Town. Reserve the Don Ferrante's car (a Fiat 500 convertible I think) rather than renting your own. - Lots of stairs so not recommended for individuals with mobility issues. - Air conditioning in bedrooms, not in bath or hallway/closet but wasn't an issue. Keep bathroom and hallway/closet doors closed when not in the room and you'll be fine. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Gem of a hotel with the best staff ever!

Stunnint beautiful rooms, amazing staff who nothing is too much trouble for, great location for exploring Monopoli & services taking you to local beaches. Loved it!

Extraordinary Hotel in Monopoli. Next to the beach

Great location. This is a small hotel (13 rooms) yet staffing and service are excellent. There is a small pool but there're only two lounges to lie on. People tend to hog them so go early. They have an arrangement with a private beach for which you pay for access. They advertise a free shuttle but it only leaves at 10 am and returns at 5 pm. Otherwise, you have to pay 25 euros for transportation. There is a nearby public beach.

Hard to find treasure!!

Fantastic place! The only problem is finding it!! The instructions should be better for getting to the place! We got lost and had to fone the hotel to send someone to find us! Maybe a map on the website would help

Everything was perfect and beyond expected-

Being off season they worked really hard to make sure we were well accommodated at restaurants and interesting places. Our weather was amazing so we enjoyed the incredible terrace etc perfect place to relax and see Puglia - thx
