The property is a convent but the conditions are good. Very clean and good location. The restaurant in the area are wonderful.
Wonderful stay in a beautiful city!
Beautiful place for small family
Close walk to the train station
The location to the Roma termini is about 10 minutes walk. Clean and modern facility. Good breakfast with lots of hot and cold choices. Spacious room and bathroom. Good service with storing luggages. The only thing was early check out @ 10:30 am. But overall will stay here again.
Nice location wonderful staff
Careful with plug in bathroom they are 220 and will fry American electronics
Everything was perfect
Didn’t realise there would be so many religious overtones. Fine, if that’s ehat you want.
Really nice large rooms, well laid out with nice furniture. Beautiful bathrooms! We had to leave for our train at 3am and they packed us a very serviceable breakfast and booked us a taxi. Would definitely stay here again!
Very clean. On third floor so you could hear the breakfast being set up above you very early in the morning.
Highly recommend and would stay there again!
Was so pleased we booked to stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful. The hotel was in a convenient location to visit a lot of the sights of Rome & very near to the train station. The breakfast was good and the room and hotel itself looked beautiful. Plus it was a very competitive price. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.
Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and spacious room, walkable distance to the town with good transport links.
A beautiful and peaceful place close to the train station! Loved it.
Rooms are cleaned , linens and towels fresh and clean, breakfast is good , staff is helpful and polite. I recommend it
Nice hotel, quiet but in the heat it was a bit far to walk to usual landmarks in Rome. Beds were somewhat hard. Rooms with high ceiling. Nice breakfast buffet
Very pretty and quiet
Great location!
Great location as it is walkable to many historical and shopping sites. The rooms are spacious but not cool. The beds were very firm. Short walk to train the train terminal and several nice restaurants. I would go back.
Excellent
While this was a four-star hotel, it did not feel so. A particular set of women working the front desk were not hospitable at all. Upon arrival, they informed me that I would be able to check in within the hour. I was not offered coffee, tea, or even water during my wait even. I walked around Rome searching for something to eat. Then, arriving back at 2:00pm (the written check-in time), they informed me I would still need to wait for clarification my room was clean. As I sat there, I watched them show a family of eight to their rooms (who had arrived after me). Then, after waiting fifteen minutes, they finally showed me to my room. The reception did not apologize for the wait nor did they seem hospitable at all. The employee who showed me to my room and transported my suitcase was kind. The workers at the breakfast were kinder and a bit more hospitable as well. Some things to note are that the beds were not comfortable nor was the location ideal. However, the rooms were clean and the maids performed their jobs well. The reception, as mentioned, was not warm nor friendly and instead spoke quite condescendingly on multiple occasions.
Great place to stay in Rome when visiting for a few days. It is still within walkable distance to some landmarks. The breakfast is included and it is really good except for the coffee. We really enjoyed rooftop restaurant and the courtyard. Termini station is about 10 min walking, Fontana di Trevi 30 min walking distance.
Close to train station and walking distance to Trevi and Coliseum but not many tourists around. Nice, clean, and modern. Plus a chapel in premises, perfect for Catholics :-)
Nice place
What a brautiful hotel!
Perfect
We enjoyed our stay. The staff were vey helpful. Close to the Rome Termini.
A well located property on the cleaner side of Rome. Staff were very helpful and the room was clean, large and modern. This was a great change to other hotels which were cramped and unrenovated. Rates were reasonable and can include the breakfast option which is located on an airy top floor space. Would definitely stay again.
Laura at the front desk was amazing
This is an older property that is managed by the Diocese of Australia. It once was a Monastery. With that said it really is lovely and peaceful. Even though its right in the middle of Rome! They have a delicious breakfast buffet with many options and its included in the daily room rate. The rooms are small but clean!! Laura at the front desk was wonderful! She had taxi's for us in minutes. She also communicated well with me before we arrived so i knew what to expect. They do not have a shuttle from the airport but she arranged a driver for us and the price was standard $65 Euros. The chapel within the hotel is amazingly beautiful and Mass is held at 6pm nightly. I really enjoyed staying here and would not hesitate to stay again in the future!!
Amazing breakfast Front desk associates very kind and helpful Room spacious, clean and comfortable
The stay was phenomenal, for me and my family (family of 5). Everything was absolutely perfect, from the morning breakfast ( shoutout to Ervin, he was great!) to front desk staff (super accommodating & they took care of us). Thank you for all your help in making this stay comfortable. Everything was nearby and very much walkable. I highly recommend!
Great breakfast
A GEM of a hotel
Loved this hotel - Perfect location - walking distance to all sights. Staff was excellent- room was perfect! I just wish I could have enjoyed dinner there. I was there on Sunday and the restaurant was closed, but plenty of options in the neighborhood. I walked from Roma Termini. Breakfast was delish and plentiful. I will come back!
This hotel was very strange — first of all it is indeed connected to a Chapel, so the rooms are kind of just thrown in there. I was sent to the top floor for my room, and it was next to an apartment which was very confusing. The room itself was really dingy and run down, and a bit dirty. There was someone’s hair on the sheets and towels, and the bathroom could’ve used a cleaning. Furthermore, the wifi didn’t work the entire time and the tv connection went out immediately. Oh also they advertise a rooftop bar but apparently that doesn’t exist? The woman at the counter just said “no we don’t have that” when I asked Overall, really poor experience for a relatively average price for the area. Should either be much cleaner, or much cheaper!
This was an amazing property to stay in in Rome. I was in room 303 and it was extremely spacious, nicely decorated and the facilities were fantastic. The bed was extremely comfortable and for all of the nights that I was there I had a wonderful sleep. The shower was great with good pressure and unlimited hot water and the bathroom was also rather spacious, well equipped although it did not have a bidet. Breakfast was quite good and the staff were all great especially the check in staff and the restaurant guys.... the Porter is also fantastic and extremely friendly. He was busy with somebody else's bags upon my checkout and the manager came to collect them and bring them out for me from Storage which is free which is not something you would see everyday :-) if I have to need to pick about the hotel and find something that is worthy of a little bit of improvement, and that would be the Wi-Fi which in my particular room could not work for WhatsApp and Instagram and for this I had to sit near the front office on a small table just outside and also the washing machine was not working which I am sure they will get fixed soon. Apart from that it was amazing and I had the most wonderful time and again I can't get over how spacious and beautiful my room was and it had a very nice view and to have your own private Chapel with Jesus himself present in the Tabernacle whom you can visit at any time of the night and day is just out of this world and Beyond extraordinary.
Our hotel room was hot and it took forever to cool down. The room was also a little drab and cramped for three people. Breakfast wasn’t bad, but was the only hotel of our 12 night Italy vaca stay that did not have Italian coffee options like espresso, cappuccino or maciatto. Would not stay there again.
This property was conveniently located, the rooms were clean and the staff was great!
Small quiet hotel
Excellent quiet location 'lovely courtyard garden to sit and unwind. Good breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff. Location.
Convenient place and value when in Rome
The location is convenient to Roma Termini and Piazza Republicca. The place is cozy, room has high ceilings, good and delicious included breakfast, and a nice rooftop restaurant, and we get to leave our luggage for an entire day. The bed was squeaky, and bath drains slow, but overall it was a good value and convenient place to stay in Rome.
Good location close to Roma Termini!
Big rooms with nice enough bathrooms, balconies which is different and a unique great courtyard.
The food was good, the rooms and premises were clean, the staff were very helpful and the location was excellent. I highly recommend this location.
Didn't Answer the phone
Hotel was locked and unavailable even though i had a reservation.
Very clean, service is excellent and highly recomm
Amazing, everything looks great. This hotel had also huge chapel. Highly recommendable. Very close to all you need.
Great Place to Stay
Booked this as it is close to Termini for an overnight stay . Hotel is lovely well laid out and was very festive . Staff extremely friendly and the buffet breakfast was great with choice of hot and cold selection. Balcony was ideal although no view it was lovely to open up and see the sun in the morning
At check in, we were told that our room had been upgraded because we were staying for 4 nights. The room was spacious and had a great view. The beds were SO comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!
Very nice hotel
Good location, speed WiFi, good breakfast. Very friendly reception.
Beautiful terrace and courtyard. Clean and all amenities are supplied. Friendly staff, easy check in. Lovely breakfast.
Overall it’s a nice hotel but the AC did not work in our room and it was so hot we didn’t sleep all night. Interesting place as it’s connected to a church and the grounds are very nice including rooftop terrace. If the AC worked, I would have give this a much better review. The overnight person provided no help whatsoever. They include a free breakfast which wasn’t bad. It’s very close to the train station. If you need a place for a night or 2 max, and it’s in the cooler months, I would say it worth staying here. Not good for long periods.
Location was handy and there were plenty of places to eat near by. The staff in the dining room were charming and the room was serviced to a high standard daily.
Nice Hotel, rude staff.
Comfortable Hotel, well located, but rude staff. When I booked this Hotel I was very impressed by the reviews about how peaceful this former monastery was, that it was an oasis in the middle of busy Rome and the good quality of the rooms, which was all true. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience when checking in as when I booked it, I received an email stating the check in was open, so we arrived before midday and were told by a very rude man, that we needed to wait until 2pm, even though I showed the email. So we left our bags and went out to a cafe to wait till we could finally check in and have a lay down after a long flight.
Spacious, clean, modern & friendly place to stay near Railway station. We were back after 3 years and it is still excellent. The breakfast used to be better, but it provides all essential needs for a morning crave.
Clean good services and extremely safe!
Was an excellent place would definitely recommend!
Beautiful hotel. Courtyard in the morning having breakfast, plenty to choose from at buffet. Hotel was very quiet, good night sleep, after walking all day. Would be back. 10 out of 10.
Location is excellent, it’s about 7 minutes walk from Termini train station , tons of good restaurants around, grocery store nearby. The area feels super safe, metro is few minutes away . The concierge was helpful ( only if they smile and a little friendlier I would give 5 * stars )
Lovely Stay at Domus Australia
Had a lovely 6 nights stay here with 7 membyif my family. The staff were very helpful and charming. Breakfast was a 10/10 and my gluten-free diet was well catered for. Rooms were clean and comfortable and all had good air conditioning. The hotel itself was handy for travelling all over Rome with the train station and Metro less than a 10 minutes walk away. Loads of good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Would book the Domus Australia again when back in Rome.
Just returned from a fantastic 5 days at Domus Australia, this hitel is a 5 minute walk from terminal for bus station, tour buses and train. The hotel is spotless and the breakfast is fantastic considering its included in the price! The hotel is wheelchair friendly i was travelling with my son and my gran who is 91 and we were able to sit out in the court yard for breakfast and enjoy the last of the sun at night in the rooftop bar/restaurant. Our room was on the 3rd floor with great views of the courtyard and an added bonus the rooms have wooden shutters on the windows so blocks out all light so you get a good nights sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them. This hotel is a hidden gem and i would give it 10/10. If i ever returned to Rome i would definitely stay here.
Nice hotel in so-so neighborhood with inexpensive restaurant. Mostly used by Australian tourists. A/C failure for 1/2 the rooms was an issue, but the management was able to move us to another room on day #2, and made an appropriate financial accommodation @ check-out. So no hard feeli.
Well, it's boring.
The hotel is clean, close to Rome central station, rooms are big... but frankly I thought it was rather soul-less and the front staff were really not the warm, friendly, helpful staff I'm so used to in Italy. I would definitely not stay there again. Not when there are so many other hotels to choose from, and cheaper than this one. The restaurant ... well, we had breakfast there and it was really not nice, so didn't bother with even thinking about having dinner there. Just, basically, overall, not a pleasant experience.
Great location but not well marked to find it! Room was large and well presented. But the air conditioning was not working. We were offered a fan - not an ideal situation but we managed! For the price we paid there are some other interesting properties in the area which may be worth a look prior to booking Domus Australia
We really liked how close it was to all the sites we wanted to see. We found a restaurant close by that we really liked. Thank you to the staff for being so nice and helpful. We appreciate all you did.
Totally recomend this hotel. Beautiful, full of Nice detalla, as hot towels, a chapel you can visit at antes time, near the Termini station. Everithing you need for a pleasant stay in roma
Very serene place to stay. Highly recommended!
Nice big room and quiet with lovely breakfast
Very nice hotel as it is remind me of a Australian hotels where you have Caffè and tea in the rooms and daily first page of The Australian newspaper. Good location, service, helpful staff and clean rooms and much more.
Place was very nice. Quiet area. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful
A fantastic hotel. Location was great for good restaurants, only minutes from easy transport. The only problem we had was with 30 c weather, the air conditioner was inadequate for our room.i addressed three different times and there was really no resolve. They did provide a fan after I complained of no sleep, and it helped. But the air conditioner was intermittent on how it performed.the temp setting would show on the thermostat as 18 c the 5 days we were there, which would be freezing to us, but it was over 30 c in the room. Wi fi is intermittent, no good for streaming news back home. No english tv,
A real haven in Rome.
From the initial welcome to the best night's sleep, would highly recommend this beautifully renovated building within walking distance of everything, and just around the corner from the Baths of Diocletian.
Excellent hotel, great staff, good location. However, the air conditioning did not work our entire four-day stay. We specifically booked here because of the air conditioning. Very disappointed! Excellent new restaurant directly across the street called Punto 41.
I would recommend this hotel
Pleasant stay in Rome! It’s in a decent location- I felt safe to walk around by myself. It’s within a 10 minute walk of Termini Station which is pretty handy. Also, there are a number of decent restaurants around, as well as an awesome gelateria and a supermarket, both within a 5 minute walk. In addition, the staff was courteous and helpful. The courtyard and attached church are beautiful and made for a lovely calm environment.
Great find in Rome
Wonderful hotel - clean and comfortable, spacious and quiet, sumptuous breakfast buffet, helpful staff, short walking distance from Roma Termini. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a restful and refreshing stay!
Peaceful hotel
An unassuming building which turned out to be very peaceful in a busy city. Location was great and if you don't mind a walk then not too far from many of the main attractions. The staff were great especial one of the guys who sat in the evening. Easy check in. Easy check out Left luggage a breeze and friendly staff The room it self was way too big for one but very comfortable stay.
Aircon is weak
Nice hotel with non-working air conditioner
This is a nice hotel in a very convenient location, but with a non working AC for three straight nights when temperatures are in the triple digits, it does not matter how nice a hotel is.
Convenient and comfortable
This is a welcome part of Australia in Rome. It is magnificently restored and fitted out. The chapel is a special place, while the courtyard and restaurant are wonderful places to eat and enjoy. Unfortunately for me, the roof terrace was not open on the nights I was there, so I cannot comment on it, though I would like to! Even if the terrace were not staffed, I feel that it could still be open and available for sitting and relaxing.
The property is lovely. Clean, spacious rooms and wonderful breakfast and rooftop bar. The air conditioning was nonexistent. Visiting in July, it was so uncomfortable in the room we had to ask for a fan! Only stay here in the off-season or if the heat does not bother you!
Nice hotel fair distance to to public transport
Nice hotel good helpful staff experience was very good
Staff, property, and service was amaizing. Would definitely stay here again. I also really liked the convenience of having a chapel on campus.
Like Narnia
What an amazing hotel, the front was just normal, then you walked into Narnia, with the wonderful church, amazing rooftop terrace and delightful courtyard. Special mention to Kelly in dining room,Andrea and Simon on reception always friendly and helpful
I spent one night at this hotel. The receptionist was professional and friendly. While checking in, a couple that was staying there informed me that I would love the hotel. They were so right! I definitely would return there. I must mention Janelle, who was extremely helpful in making several recommendations about services being offered in Rome. My room was really nice and spacious. The bathroom was nice and clean. The buffet breakfast was not only pleasing to the eye but was also delicious and satisfying. The hotel compound was peaceful, relaxing and safe like an oasis in the desert. The ability to leave my luggage at the hotel after checking out without worry was also a great service graciously offered. These are just a few of the things that would cause me to recommend this fantastic hotel.
Comfortable and great location
Really comfortable and big room. Lovely bathroom with window. Lovely shutters on the windows! Tea/coffee and kettle provided plus and iron and ironing board! It was a very peaceful and calm place to stay. Great location, 5 mins from Termini station. Really enjoyed it. Lovely breakfast every monrning too! Would definitely stay here again.
Nice location near to all attractions
The location is excellent and service is also very good. The rooms are very good. Only food is not up to the mark. Overall a great experience.
Our stay was fabulous, clean, friendly especially Kelly and the young man at reception with the tissott watch lovely church part of complex beer garden on roof top that serves good after a long day sightseeing in Rome I have recommended it to any body I have spoken to since I got home this is my first time doing one of these reports so it has to be very good for me to take time out to do this.
I always stay here IF they have a room available...……...good location, good facilities, rooms are comfortable, even has a laundry on site, very helpful when you are traveling for more than a month! this trip I even was able to enjoy a musical rehearsal in the church attached. was able to leave my bag at the hotel over the weekend for a very reasonable price...…..only surprise was a notice in the room i stayed in on my last day...……….never saw this before...……..that replenishment of the tea and coffee items in the room would be an additional cost! The hotel might reconsider this... staff is always helpful although front desk is not 24/7
The hotel is well located...near train/bus station,
clean hotel but the bed was very uncomfortable. Something about the esthetics of the property was off putting as well.
Great location to discover Rome
As return guest we certainly enjoyed the place at our first visit. Convenient location near train station and all attractions are in walking distance. Really good breakfast buffet. Rooms are good size and offer all a traveler needs.
Great to stay, excellent breakfast
The hotel is an excellent place to stay, top marks for cleanliness and courtesy.
Just out of the city
Quiet, clean and comfortable. Just out of the city centre so within easy reach without the noise and bustle. Wouldn’t hesitate to return here.
Enjoyed overall experience! 👍
Great location, close to public transit, quiet area, good breakfast! Clean and comfortable rooms.
Clean hotel not far from Termini
Very clean and pleasant with very helpful and nice staff.
Excellent room, great location, breakfast was good
Lovely hotel
Lovely place as a base to explore Rome. Situated 10 minutes north of Roma Termini in a nice area, British embassy is just at the end of the street. The rooms are clean & very spacious, ours overlooked the courtyard where we had breakfast each morning. All staff were friendly & helpful, nice breakfast consisting of continental style plus bacon, sausages & scrambled eggs. Turn left out of the hotel entrance & you'll see a restaurant called RE Bascilica which is a good as anywhere and right in the door stop. Go to the top of that street and across the road you'll see a gelato shop called La Romana, one of the best in Rome. When there are 40 people queued out the door at 11-45 pm, there is a reason for that.......... City tax here is 3.50€ per person per night Walk to the the Trevi fountain from here takes around 30 minutes. When we return to Rome, we will mostly stay here again.
Small hotel, well renovated.
Boutique hotel, well renovated and quiet, within walking distance from Rome Terminee. Has a pleasant roof terrace and self serve laundry.
Relaxing Hotel
Lovely calm hotel with beautiful chapel. Walking distance to Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Check in staff were excellent with great tips for seeing the area on foot. Breakfast was included and the spread was certainly enough to satisfy everyone. Appreciated the large bathroom.
Could not fault this hotel
All aspects exceeded expectations. Highly recommend, thank you for a wonderful stay.
peaceful and quiet finish of our day
After walking the streets of Rome for many hours, it was always such a delight to return to our home away from home.friend,y feel
