Lovely rooms nice toiletries Beautiful gardens Excellent food great staff nothing to complain about at all
Pros: Lovely property; the staff were very attentive and the breakfast spread was very good! Lots of children around and it is very family friendly which worked well for us. There were no disturbances (noise or otherwise) with all the children around. The snack bar that remains open throughout was a great hit with our 3 year old! Cons: The pools aren't heated. In October when there are colder days, the pools are essentially unusable.
Domes Zeen Chania is hands down my favourite hotel to date! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and genuine smiles from the staff, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. The attention to detail at this luxurious retreat is nothing short of spectacular. The rooms are beautifully designed, blending modern elegance with earthy tones and natural textures that perfectly complement the stunning surroundings. Each space feels like a private oasis, with breathtaking views of the sea and gardens that provide a sense of peace and tranquility. The food at Domes Zeen is an absolute highlight! The restaurants offer a diverse and delectable array of dishes, all made with fresh, local ingredients. Every meal is a culinary journey, with flavors that reflect both the richness of Cretan cuisine and international influences. Breakfasts are a dream, offering a variety of options from fresh fruits, pastries, to made-to-order omelets. Dinner is a gourmet experience, with each dish artfully prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly makes Domes Zeen exceptional is the staff. They went above and beyond to make my 40th bday special, and attentive for my guests. Whether it’s offering recommendations for local experiences, providing thoughtful touches like complimentary treats, or simply remembering your preferences, their level of service is unmatched. You feel truly cared for in every interaction. Already booking my trip back to this slice of paradise!
Great resort
Excellent caring service
Had a great stay
Excellent stay. Wonderful vacation.
Outstanding hotel, with amazing staff. Domes Zeen has exceeded all expectations- the room was perfect with a wonderful outside area and a plunge pool, the breakfast has all every option for every taste and the staff always went above and beyond. We didn’t spend much time at the pool because the beach was amazing and we had our own plunge pool, but be warned that the pool is a highlight for young children so it might get busy, but it’s not too loud so can still enjoy your time. The gym was well equipped and it never got too busy in the morning. Chania is about 40 minutes walk, we did that once and then resorted to taxis or hotel transfers - it was a lot easier.
Amazing staff Amazing property Amazing hospitality and good location Beach and pool were great
Domes Zeen is a beautiful tranquil hotel - the staff are beyond friendly and helpful and the location is a short cab ride from the lovely old town of Chania. The food at the hotel was delicious and the pool with our villa was magical. We are already talking about next year.
I have a fish allergy and communicated to the hotel prior to and at check-in. The restaurant was never informed properly and not prepared for me. The Michelin Star restaurant, Gallina, was terrible. It took 25 minutes to get still and sparkling water. Service was subpar and not trained to the expectations one would expect at a Michelin Star restaurant. The wine steward spilled as he poured the wine, didn't wipe the bottle and red wine drops were all over the table. We had 2 children that were promised a special menu, but by the time we were served, they told us there was no food for the kids, SO WE LEFT! MY ADVICE: go to a local taverna. We did and it saved the trip.
Good but not perfect
Needed to call front desk several time for refill of water, coffee and soap ( after housekeeping was in the room)
EVERYTHING WAS THE BEST
Ok, not bad
Good but can improve
Great overall experience. The hotel is very clean and room are spacious. My issue was that rooms didn’t have a proper isolation were sounds of next door neighbors can easily disturb your stay. Also the resort is very family oriented and lots of kids playing around. This needs to be considered for travelers who prefer an otherwise tranquil vacation.
Luxurious and landscaped complex
A beautifully landscaped complex set in a hillside close to the beach. There are lots of tropical plants in the grounds making the environment very pleasing. The area directly outside the complex is less-developed, with a dusty dirt track between the complex and beach. The hotel is close to Chania centre: the Venetian harbour is about 30 mins by foot. The walk is along the dirt track then over 2 small bridges (very dark at night - it felt safe for us but might have felt a bit deserted if walking alone). Then along a pretty promenade with restaurants, leading eventually to the Venetian harbour. The reception area is at the top end of the hill and the restaurant is at the bottom, with the rooms in between, connected by a windy road and stairways. Golf buggies can be used for transport. Restaurant overlooks pool and loungers. Our room (tropical pavilion) was spacious with silent air-conditioning that worked brilliantly even with outside temps reaching 42C. The room is advertised as “sea view” - only a small band of sea was visible over the rooves of the other rooms/villas. The beach was probably about 200 meters away from our room. Spacious shower, quite powerful. Would have preferred a bath too for the price. A housekeeping issue was promptly sorted. The bed was extremely comfy but some furniture felt worn. Lovely touches such as a lounge with drinks/snacks throughout the day. The food in the two restaurants was very tasty. Staff were excellent.
great resort
Excellent all around. The facilities were great, staff attentive, very little to complain about, a lot to praise.
The property is simply stunning! And the service, food and amenities are exceptional.
We enjoyed our stay, convenient for Chania, a 20 minute walk along a rough track. Private area in front of the room excellent. No towels policy left on loungers round the pool a revelation and worked brilliantly against those who like to sneak down at 7am to get the best pool seats
We stayed for 4 nights at this beautiful property in May. During our stay, our tire on our rental car had gone flat and the staff/team at Domes Zeen went above and beyond to make sure that it was resolved with the company (without us even asking). They also had their service/maintenance department come and take a look. The food and service was amazing. We were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine in the room along with some cookies. The buffet was phenomenal- plenty of options ranging from meats, eggs, cheese, fruit, yogurt, coffee, mimosas. An additional benefit was that their lobby provides (at no additional cost) some snacks and wine/beer/drinks throughout the day - and you can watch the sunset with a glass of wine from the lobby! The grounds were very well maintained and the room was stunning. Every day they would do turn down service and bring bottles of water to our room. Close enough of a walk from old town Chania but it is a bit of a distance - maybe 15-20 min walk. It’s worth walking to the old town and not driving as parking may be tough in town. Enough restaurants nearby the hotel as well as some grocery shopping / dessert shops. Overall I would highly recommend staying here!
Phenomenal resort with amazing rooms and amenities. Excellent staff. We loved everything about it. Difficult to find - road into the resort is a weird alleyway that is not representative of the high end resort.
Wonderful place! Loved being on a resort but easily walking to town! Also there is an amazing running path right out the door that made me thrilled!
An absolute perfect place to stay before the season! Very rich breakfast and we have got an upgrade to a room with a sea view. The staff were young and extremely nice and professional! The whole place was a botanical garden with bungalows nicely talen care. The pool was really big and relaxing… nice connected beach though not sandy Beautiful holiday!
Greatest
Loved our stay
Beautiful grounds, excellent service, and we love the cats
Beautiful hotel wonderful staff
Beautiful property! Great concierge service and wonderful hotel staff!

The resort was perfect for our family of five with young kids. The service was top and the property was excellent. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the property for three days of our one week stay and was excellent. Wonderful menu and everything was fresh and delicious. I would recommend for a family vacation! But, won't recommend for adults only vacation. It wouldn't be relaxing with so many kids around at the property.
The staff here was amazing. Everyone was so genuinely kind and took pride in their work. We didn’t have any stress the entire time. They were more than willing to help us plan our time and had even been very communicative before our arrival so that we could get a better idea of what our plans were. The rooms were excellent. Plenty of space and amenities, and very clean/quiet. The whole resort was very calm and peaceful. They also had a couple of incredibly talented musicians/singers come and perform during dinner. My husband and I stayed after dinner to hear the rest of their set because they were that good. Loved this place.
Can't wait to go back! :)
The staff, facilities and everything as absolutely amazing! On Day 2 of our stay, we started having mild noises from the AC. Rather than trying to fix it, they actually upgraded our room for the rest of our stay. A huge shout out goes to Marina from the concierge team. She was amazing at recommending activities and restaurants throughout our stay! Would definitely recommend this place and come here again!
Fantastic experience! Exceptional service, beautiful new property. Highly recommend
Incredible service! The best hotel to stay in chania!
Excellent resort with a relaxed vibe but exquisite service. More-or-less walkable into Chania, good facilities, and considerate touches. Probably the best place we’ve stayed in Crete.
30 min walk to city center. We had breakfast few times and dinner once at hotel restaurant was ok. Had bottle of wine in room for welcome gift no bottle opener had to ask twice for one, didn’t end up getting to drink it. Pool and beach had to make up your own chairs. Had to ask for water. Nice private beach area. Overall lovely property.
Very relaxing vacation with wife and 2 teenagers. Excellent rooms with very ci table beds.
Beautiful location surrounded by sea and mountains. The staff were truly friendly and welcoming.
Overall very nice private option. Beautiful hotel with modern rooms. Staff very courteous. Very quiet and peaceful environment at time of our visit. On the con side, Access road was difficult to find as it’s a side street. lots of walking up and down stairs to get to your room. Having a rental car was very helpful as it’s about a 10 minute drive to Chania’s sites. Adjacent lots are undeveloped and unsightly.
Pros - Room set up is good, with two children they top and tailed which worked well - Good kids club we used a couple of times with very good staff who engaged our children - Very cool hotel design - Quick transfer from the airport just 30 mins Cons - The pools aren't heated - had we known this we'd probably have chosen a different resort - Only one restaurant which was very busy, noisy, and the service was incredibly slow between courses - Cleaning wasn't really up to scratch for a 5* hotel, often parts of our bathroom were missed as in communal areas - It's on a very steep site, a couple of times we asked for a golf buggy as it can be a challenging walk and the wait was 30 mins - Power didn't work in our room twice, and we were offered a very limited apology for the inconvenience - It's quite remote and with limited things to do at the hotel would recommend a hire car to explore the island
Fantastisk god service, svært god standard og kvalitet på alle fasiliteter. Smakfullt design på rom og fellesarealer.
Beautiful Hotel
Great location and services
The staff is amazing! Very warm, gracious, helpful, informative ( we received many wonderful suggestions from hikes to food from concierge as well as other staff) The property is beautiful as was the room. Perfect location to explore west side of Crete
Excellent
Beautiful property, amazing staff excellent food and in a great location. Our only regret is that we could not use the private pool. I wish they had a option to have it heated .
The best resort in crete! Amazing service and staff, friendly and accommodating- gorgeous venue, great food, drinks, and location everything you need!
Fantastic staff and amazing hotel to relax.
My wife and I arrived late to the property and Dimitri and team did such a great job to make us feel welcome. We booked the property at late notice with minimal expectation, so we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. This property surpassed our expectations for the price.
It was completely sublime. Friendly staff beautiful rooms.
Overall terrific. Great staff, very friendly and helpful.the surrounding area is quite rundown
Superb service
Superb service and friendly staff. Hotel Manager gave us a later than normal check out which made a big difference to our experience (thank you). Great way to end the trip. Our room was so lovely with a large private pool area. Loved it.
