Everything excellent and the staff very helpful,is in the heart of old town and same time quite I recommend to everyone
Stff
Great location
Good breakfast, friendly staff, nice lication
Located right by Mermerli Beach where you can rent chairs and hang out in the sea all day. The hotel has an amazing breakfast, big beautiful pool, wonderful staff and cute unique rooms. I don’t think any are the same inside. Ours was a small room with skinny door to a big private patio. So cool. Old beautiful wood windows . We loved our time there!
Our overall experience at the Dogan Hotel was average. It’s a nice property with a nice pool but our room (139) was dated, dark, and the bathroom less than pleasant. This room is next to the pool and just below it, so any movement of chairs in the morning was very loud. Good location and pleasant staff, but nothing extraordinary.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. We got there very early and was able to take a shower before our room was ready. Definitely would stay there again.
This is a cute hotel in the heart of the old city. The staff was very welcoming upon arrival, but the rooms leave much to be desired. Unfortunately also had quite a few bugs during our stay (spiders and water bug in the bathroom). Besides the room, the pool was a great spot to cool off by and the breakfast buffet offered was good. Don’t ask the front desk to help you get a taxi, because he called one for me who wanted to charge 60€ for a 40 minute ride, I used Uber throughout most of my trip and said the max it should cost was 40€ so I refused the ride. The taxi guy tried insisting it would cost no less than 60€ and the hotel man agreed and stated Ubers couldn’t come to this area, meanwhile I took one from the airport to the hotel. He finally agreed to the 40€, but the staff was no help in this situation.
The property is great! Has a very homey feel to it. The staff also upgraded us to a family room. No elevator is present at the premises, however, the staff helps with luggage. Will be coming back!
The hotel was fantastic. Close to everything and very walkable. The hotel staff was so friendly and amazing. They made me feel like I was at home. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet with a large selection, the pool is nice and the interior courtyards are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. You are a short walk to the sea! Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.
Good
Very nice location
Ideal location.
I just love this hotel, being so near to my favourite beach in Antalya; Mermerli Plaji. My room was clean and quiet, staff very friendly.
I would stay in the attic room again as my husband hit his head on the too low ceiling accident times HARD!! The pool, the staff, the setting and the breakfasts were great—we’d give a five star if not for our room.
Great location
Lovely hotel in a great location.
Kind hotel
Lovely family run hotel with kind staff. Great breakfast only thing is that you have to pay for fresh juice but plenty of variety. We asked for a nice quiet room and they give us one Good location
Conveniently situated in the Old Town. It wasn't too noisy when I stayed but the whole area has music in the evening. However I definitely found it was quiet enough to sleep. The garden area is lovely to sit or eat in, flowers, plants etc. The breakfast had an okay range of food and I heard from others that the evening buffet was excellent. There isn't a lift and as a person of advanced years I found walking up to the 3rd floor, not that easy. Although there was help available for bags etc. I would stay here again as it's definitely one of the better hotels in the area. Some of the others had much to be desired.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is nice and the pool area as well. It is in a good location and we had a great view from the room. My only critiques would be the restaurant prices (cocktails cost more than even beachfront bars) and the staff who were not nearly as inviting as in other Turkish hotels we have stayed at. Overall a satisfactory experience experience.
Ideally situated in the old town, pleasant friendly staff, Rather nice that the rooms were all spread out in groups of around 6 in different buildings, Food was good and plenty of ut
Excellent place to stay in the Old Town. Walkable area. Safe and friendly people.
Highly recommend!
Loved this hotel and the staff. Very clean and well kept, staff were amazingly helpful and kind, and the hotel grounds was a beautiful place to have a drink and/or eat. The hotel is situated in the perfect spot in old town. Looking forward to our next stay here.
Nice traditional friendly hotel
Nice hotel but difficult walking outside in poor weather to get to different areas of the hotel. Offered some rooms which were declined due to difficult access. Unsuitable for people with disabilities. Missed a balcony
I read the other reviews before I booked and I thought I’d take a punt as the price was good. Actually it was pretty decent. Friendly staff, good breakfast spread, clean and great location in the Old Town. I can’t fault it for the price
Cozy place
Hello! I travel a lot for work and stay in hotels a lot. What makes this hotel so special is that it is so cozy. It is large enough so you have enough space for yourself, it is at the same time small enough so you feel at home and know everyone in the staff. It is centrally located, you can get to the buses and Tramways easy. It is incredibly clean in the hotel. It was a Saturday night, there was some music from the night club, it was no problem to change rooms the next day. After that I didn't hear anything. But if you choose to be in the middle of the old village, you can count on some nightlife on the weekends. Otherwise, you have to take a hotel far outside the center. The breakfast is good, they cook special omelettes according to your wishes. There is plenty of free space in the hotel that you can enjoy and relax, even a pool. There is a bar with running water against one of the walls, a real Zen experience. What makes the hotel extra special is the staff. They do their utmost to make you feel good. I stayed for about 10 days. They are now closing for the winter, otherwise I would have stayed longer. Arian.
Lovely hotel and very helpful and charming staff
Hotel staff were extremely helpful and well charming. The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and bathroom items. The bed was comfortable and an option was available for fresh linen every day or as required by clients. The shower was clean but needed an upgrade especially the door and shower tray. The breakfast was sufficient with good Turkish food as well as cereal and milk. The weather was too cold to enjoy the facilities however the pool was sparkling and the outdoor patio areas were relaxing and clean. The only problem were the cats they were everywhere except the bedroom but that seems to be an Antalya issue not the hotel. We will definitely revisit this charming and quaint hotel.
It was a great hotel, and the staff was very good. The hotel location is pretty good and overall it is a beautiful hotel. Room size is not that big but its okay! What I didnt like was that they just give you one bottle of water and then we have to pay for any extra bottle of water eventhough our stay was for two nights
Person helped me with parking spot even though parking is included
Excellent choice for anyone who wants to enjoy the old city in a top notch stylish old town hotel. Very artistically and tastefully design architecture which is well presented and very well maintained.
Hotel was lovely, very convenient and well appointed. When staying anywhere in the old town you need to be aware of potential noise at night. We were at the back of the hotel and it was nice and quiet. People who stayed in the front rooms complained of noise. I think the same problem will apply to most hotels close to the night clubs.
A little bit noisy mid night due to the other guests
The most amazing location. Stay was perfect
Very nice hotel. Room was nice except for the bathroom which was really very very small
location is good
A charming hotel located in the old town a few minutes walk from the harbour. The old markets were about 10 minutes walk through quaint, cobbled lanes that you sometimes share with cars as there are no footpaths. There were lots of restaurants, mini markets selling alcohol and household goods, rug shops, clothing etc, which added to the romantic atmosphere. We were upgraded on arrival and had a very spacious room overlooking the pool. The staff were wonderful and quick to assist with luggage. Breakfast was included and served in the outdoor dining area. There was a great selection and you could have an omelet or pancakes cooked for you. Orange juice wasn't included. The pool was a good size and 1.8m at one end. There was a separate. 5m infant pool. There were about a dozen sunloungers around it, most had large umbrellas. The only downside was the tiles are incredibly slippery when wet and I slipped over on them. There's a private beach behind the restaurant on the top of the cliff and it costs 150tl per person to use. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.
The location was amazing. Lovely if you want to be close to the beach. About 5 min walking you can be at the Mermerli Plaji. It was the best choice in terms of location and the hotel was also very charming. The rooms were not so bright though, the lighting in general was a bit dark for me.
Charming but no frills hotel in an unbeatable location. Walkable to many types of dining options and the old harbor. Close to Main Street with lots of nightlife and live music, but far enough to get a good night sleep.
Location is desirable however, the entranceway and checking area is claustrophobic and uncomfortable not welcoming. At breakfast, limited drinks, water, or juices none at all.
The staff here are st friendly and helpful, lovely relaxing pool area.
The first room we were offered was very dark and was not what we booked. However, the manager offered us an acceptable alternative and thus it was sorted out.
Everything was good. The issue is that i paid extra to get a room with a double bed. Instead of getting what I paid for, I got two twins and no refund on the price I paid. Additionally, the hotel is a 3 star hotel not a four star hotel as it is graded here.
A lovely hotel
This is a lovely hotel that is well run with friendly and attentive staff. The rooms are great, comfortable and clean. The pool area is also lovely and gets the sun most of the day. The only down side is the noise from "music" from the surrounding bars and clubs although it does all stop by about midnight.
My second stay didn’t disappoint!
Absolutely beautiful hotel situated right in the centre of the old town My room was situated to the rear of the hotel and was very quiet with excellent bathroom facilities and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in the courtyard garden were the chef prepared eggs of your choice to compliment the small breakfast buffet. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you… This was my second stay and it will not be my last highly recommended *****
Raspy lovely stay
Excellent stay. Parking is self-serve. Excellent location.
Location is perfect in the middle of old town 5 minutes walk to Marina, and Bazar. Restaurants cafe and massage shops all around Nice size pool, but no car parking. Receptionist are moody but rest of staff are super nice
Helpful hotel staff
I was unable to stay due to Covid 19 restrictions in UK. The hotel kindly moved my booking to a later date, and have been very helpful.
Things I didn't like: fridge was very noisy there was one free bottled water on first day only we booked 3 nights of twin room but they gave us 1 queen bed room on first night n we had to change room the next morning which was very inconvenient. All the staff speak poor or very little English. We wanted to change pillows, called reception. he didn't understand and came to our room to ask again. we showed him the pillow menu on their information booklet. he went away n came back with two towels... we explained to him again what we wanted. he finally brought back two pillows which were nowhere near the quality that the menu described. We asked reception where the nearest post office was and whether it was open on Saturday. they told us it was open until 12pm so we went straight to it. I carried my 5kg bag in 30+ degree weather for 20 mins only to find out that the post office is closed for weekends. it was a wast of my time! breakfast buffet is good but fresh juice costs extra they take away your plates the second that you finish your food without asking if you're done...
Charming boutique hotel in old town Antalya
Our stay was lovely. The hotel is quaint and rustic - spacious courtyard with breakfast was a nice way to start the day. It's located at the end of an alley in the historic district of Antalya so easy to walk to the water and surrounding shops. Can be noisy from the nearby restaurants and bars, but it was mostly quiet during our stay. Staff were all friendly, got by fine on limited English/Turkish between us. Facilities tidy and well looked after. Would stay again!
Antalya
Fantasic little hotel in Antalya
The property is conveniently located in the Old Town which has a cluster of authentic tourist shops in a nice cul de sac around the hotel. !5 minutes walk and you're on the high streets with links to the Tram. The hotel is staffed 24 hours a day which is great for security. The food is exceptional, well seasoned and lots of variety. The cleanliness of the hotel is fantastic and the staff are friendly and courteous.
Its such a nice place to stay
Great great great location in the old city and close to beach and restaurants
Superb location within the old city. 5 minutes walk through the beautiful cobbled streets to the numerous bars and restaurants and yet so peaceful and quiet. The hotels restaurant and pool areas were stunning. The only slight down side was the decor was a little in need of refreshing but this would not stop me coming again and rooms kept lovely and clean.
Excellent location, quiet and at the same time vry close to all the city attractions! Very friendly staff. Excellent hotel we will definitely go back :)
Friendly staff, fabulous location, great rooms!
We loved everything about our stay here! The rooms are fabulous - they have character (not a cookie-cutter hotel room) and are spacious. Staying in the old city is definitely the way to go. We easily walked to sites and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was fantastic - great variety and quality of good. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommend staying here!
Worst staff ever so rude and disrespectful!
This is the worst service I have received at a hotel in the past 5 years... All staff moody and rude... I would not recommend anyone to stay here for that reason!
Wonderful Hospitality in a Perfect Location
The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and friendly, the hotel is just a block from the harbor and is easy walking distance from shops, cafe's and restaurants and yet is in a quiet part of the neighborhood. We were so content here we extended 5 more days.
Fantastic hotel and location
Lovely hotel and great service. However, staff must check rooms as the light was not working in the sitting area of our room and the hair dryer was blowing only cold air. Despite this we were very happy with our room and management upgraded us for free to a family room. Pool area is fantastic as well as the location. You are near a 24 hour taxi rank and every amenity is within walking distance
we prepaid about 5 months before arrival. when we arrived the desk clerk may not have noticed that I need a cane to walk. He gave us the attic room....4 floors up...no elevator. While lying in bed , I could touch the ceiling. the clerk had to return twice to get the a/c working.. we moved down to the main floor next day. room was very small ,but I could not touch the ceiling. not all rooms are small.
Very good location and a clean hotel
Very good location in old town, central to harbor and shopping areas, breakfast and dinner included and waiters always helpful , very highly recommed
Perfect
Great hotel in the best area. Staff were very friendly and eager to help and guide.
Great stay
Staff were fantastic as was the location of the hotel. We were given an upgrade n the hotel could not have been more welcoming. Breakfast was amazing
Great location
Absolutely no complaints. Very good overall. The location is excellent. Helpful staff. Good English to communicate.
Excellent location, beautiful hotel
We had an amazing four nights here and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Antalya. A few minutes to the historic town centre, short walk to the harbour and numerous shops. Lovely outdoor dining terrace and great staff.
Beautiful Antalya
Amazing staffs (Sadik & others) made Dogan an amazing place in old city. Hotel has cute garden courtyard & very close to Mermeli beach. The free breakfast deal was a very good deal since hot breakfast with Turkish dishes are offered plenty every day. Only thing is our beds r 2 twin instead of 1 double. Hotel also needs to fix the leak in shower to make guest stay more comfortable. Other than that, the Kaleici area is the place to stay in Antalya. We walked to clock tower & took the bus to Ataturk park where plenty of restaurants along cliff side deep blue ocean water. We loved Antalya & Dogan made that happened. Thnx.
Antalya
Wounderfull
A very nice location and Hotel.
Loved the old quarter great for seeing the old harbour and nice restaurants and walking round the little streets.
Great experience with some limitations
Nice little hotel in a scenic part of Kaleici. Had a beautiful view from the balcony and great access to the beach, local market stalls and short walk to a more metropolitan shopping district. Only niggly issue is that it's not the most family friendly if you have a young toddler. Its the only reason I would think twice before coming again or recommending to others. Other then the pool there's not much available to entertain a young toddler both in and around the area. Being allocated a room at the top floor with no elevator greatly hampered our experience but we made the best of what we could.
Perfect!
Wonderful place in the middle of a the old city. We loved it!
Let us check in in the morning. Excellent location.
Had a fantastic stay beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. There is a small beach around 100 meters from the hotel. However you can get a taxi for around £15 English pounds and visit the famous Lara beach. I will 100% be returning
Kind staffs and beautiful hotel
Clean room. good swimming pool. delicious breakfast. good rocation. Simply, our shower hose has holes(We used only half of water. half of water was wasted) We told reception but they didn't change after 2 days. but almost satisfied.
Lovely Hotel in Old City!
I enjoyed my stay at the Dogan, but was disappointed that I was not able to get Wifi while I was there.
Dogan Hotel
A nice hotel in a good location.
A nice little hotel
This is a great hotel. We were lucky to be able to grab a parking spot opposite the hotel but it might have been a problem at the height of the season. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, other than the person at the reception desk (would have scored 5 if he'd been more professional). Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The bathroom is a little cosy though (again, would have scored 5 with a bigger bathroom). Nice breakfast. Good location. Would stay again
Perfect location, calm cool hideaway
Room was comfortable and well appointed. Pool is absolutely lovely although I was disappointed to find out that what looked like a hot tub in the photo is actually a kiddie pool. Lots of lovely shady outdoor spots for relaxing and an extraordinarily attentive staff.
Fantastic location in the old town
The boutique hotel had a great location in the old town, and was close to Mermerli Beach and many bars and restaurants. Despite good proximity to all it was still very quiet. Great staff and excellent hotel overall!
I would definitely stay in this hotel again
Don't Think...Just Dive!
Well, not literally...but i take strong exception to the preceding review titled to the contrary. In our assessment (my wife, and two daughters, 5 and 2), the property represents a very homely atmosphere-something what you experience in say Florence's small homely properties. Strolling through the stone-cobbled streets and observing the roadside cafes, we get to Clock Tower in under 10 mins. Clock Tower, mind you is the center of all activity per se insofar as Kaleiçi is concerned-shopping, eating, visiting nearby historical mosques etc. The hotel is a 5 min stroll to the marina (do catch the sunset there). So in short, very central location. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Served with a smile and even the managers do not hesitate to help you with your luggage! The dinner buffet for 30 TL was a steal (loved the wide assortment of salads). Thank you Onur, Inan, Khalid, Adam and Chef Hussain for all your hospitality. The rooms are a bit small but that I suppose is consistent with how most European hotel rooms are (say in Paris?). The pool was closed when we arrived but was turned on the 1st of April (check that smirk). Children's pool is a plus. Complimentary Wifi was suitably fast for viber voice calls in our room across the pool on the first floor. Just one suggestion for the management: Breakfast seems to be missing packaged frozen yogurts and fresh seasonal fruits. Thank you for a great stay.
Dogan Hotel was exceptional
My stay was great - the staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and much larger than I expected. It was a quiet place, that was startlingly close to the harbor and main areas of town. It was very affordable for the amenities it provided. Definitely would stay here again!
11 nights of bliss in the Old Town (Kaleici)
You may read some poor reports about this hotel and I found them all to be wrong.I've done 26 trips this year and this was my most pleasant by far ! I found the staff and service at the Dogan Hotel brilliant,so much that I left a good tip and I don't usually tip ! Breakfast was lovely in the garden (in Nov) and every member of staff was friendly and helpful. They brought bundles of towels by the pool, the room was quiet and cool,a great double bed to myself, they helped me park every night.Right in the middle of the 'Old Town' or Kaleici,no need for cabs,no traffic and typically Turkish,I loved it !
Wonderful for a romantic getaway
We went for my partner's birthday as a surprise holiday. Great location, fantastic weather for the time of year and it was very quiet too. Not any kids around and mostly just other much older couples (we're in our 20s and 30s). We had a room over looking the pool which was super quiet day and night, and was wonderfully decorated. The decor and water features of the outdoor areas were really stunning. The location of the hotel is really central and surrounded by lots of shops, fantastic restaurants and the beautiful harbor. It only cost us 40TL taxi ride from the airport to get there. Only thing I would say is I did notice the bathroom wasn't very clean on our first night. We didn't have any soap in our bathroom on the first night but there was a wrapper for the soap on the floor, although we did get soap the following day after our room had been cleaned. The toilet was dirty too but I couldn't work out if this was because it was forgotten about or if it was just stains they couldn't get out. Overall we had a fantastic time and had the room at an amazingly low rate (around £250 for 4 nights), so the bathroom didn't really bother us too much.
Decent place to stay in the old city
If you are looking for staying in the old city, dogan is a decent option for the the price, clean room, small swimming pool, breakfast is ok. One thing I did not like, they don't have complementary water in the room. And as per must option in the area parking is a nightmare in such narrow streets.
B&B Comfort in the heart of the Old Town Antalya
We had the pleasure of staying at the gracious Dogan Hotel in Old Town Antalya. The series of interior gardens and old world finishings and attention to detail made it an oasis of calm in the busy Old Town. The staff hosted with charm and hospitality from a forgotten time. We loved it all!
Good but restrictive hotel
A nice hotel with a good value. The main negative was their rule that no outside food or drink is allowed in the hotel. Obviously they want you to buy their overpriced food and beverages but I've never heard of such a rule at any other hotel I've stayed at and it struck me as kind of ridiculous.
quite and privet,good for relax
i was very upset that wasn t any fridge in the room,on midle of the summer and no fridge in the room. For this i will rate them 1 not at all satisfied.
Great hotel for couples , single travellers .
Lovely hotel in the heart of the old city . Staff were extremely friendly and helpful . Lovely pool in a delightful setting . We relly enjoyed our stay and will return.
Poor return for cost
Dogan was a pretty negative experience. We stayed there our last 2nocs in turkey after 2 weeks and it was the worst place we stayed in for the highest cost. Our first nite was one price and the next nite was 4 times the amount! Food was poor and tasteless and they charged us for Turkish coffee and orange juice.staff at desk was not helpful and or friendly and seemed put out when we asked a question. Upon checking out their credit card machine wouldn't work and we had to get cash euros and Lera to pay them. Would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
This American would stay there again
Staff- Hit and miss. Most of them are unwelcoming and not helpful. One in particular stood out who was awesome. The statement flying like an eagle when surronded by Turkeys (HAHA) applies. Hotel- Is beautiful. Lots of English and German people stay at this hotel. Garden- Beautiful Room- Low Lighting in the room but not in the bathroom. Air Conditioned rooms. Turkish and German can be found on most channels. Maybe one english speaking channel. At night you can find more though. Pool- Tiny but nice. Kiddy pool on the side. Lounge chairs available. I'd say it's about 7ft deep. Breakfast- Isn't bad. Really. Eggs/omelets/cheese/cereal is all i can remember right now. Don't drink the orange drink. It's disgusting. Dinner- Is available but I didn't eat it. It looked good though. Tid Bits- Hot water in the morning didn't go so well for me but was fine in the afternoons. Wi-Fi- There's two spots. Dining area and Pool. Not in room.Yes, the staff is rude when you ask them for the password.
A nice place to stay
A very nice place to stay with a very good resturant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Many resturants nearby if you did not want to eat at the hotel. We spent fourteen days here and enjoyed every moment of it.
Loved the Dogan.
Loved it. Great little jewel. Very quiet.
Dogan Hotel in Antalya - Change reception staff!
This hotel has lost its charm once they have signed up with group travels. This is a pity and very typical. The reception staff/man was all but nice and helpfull. However location is very good.
Needs Improvement
The physical structure of the hotel was lovely. Unfortunately, the service was not good. We asked one desk clerk two times to give us directions to the airport. He seemed unable to do so, even though there did not seem to be a language problem. We had the buffet dinner the first night there. We chose to eat elsewhere the second night because of the poor quality of the food. The staff seemed to be stressed and not on the same par as the physical plant. We are curious if there had been some management change or problem recently.
Graet hotel with helpful staff
The hotel is extremely well-located and greatly maintained. Everything shines. But what is above all is the helpfulness of the staff. My wife got sick during my stay and the staff did their utmost to help. One of them, Mahmet, even offered to ride his own moped to the night pharmacy to fill the prescription. Another ushered us to a good clinic where doctors could speak English. I travel refquently, but I have never seen such a kind and professional hospitality.
I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. I would go there next time again.
Best place! Best staff! Best location!
