The staff were by far the most welcoming and friendly! They made us feel at home and the property was beautiful and quiet! Our accommodations were really nice! We will be back to Dickinson Bay Cottages! The manager was kind and so nice! She was very helpful and knowledgable! The other team members were great at their jobs and so nice! Lots of smiles all around!
Great location, clean and large room. Needs some maintenance in some areas.
The staff so friendly and welcoming , they were able to support with everything.
Very nice and well kept property. Staff is friendly and helpful. My only concern is that there was no social activities on the premises. A small diner serving breakfast would be great. A BBQ at the poolside would be nice. An evening of culture with steelband music would be nice
Great place to stay!
My home away from home. WONDERFULL staff. I will continue to stay here.
Very enjoyable stay.
Lovely property. Apartment, gardens, pool very well looked after. All staff very friendly and helpful.
Gardens and all areas very attractive. Had a lovely relaxing stay and all staff couldn’t be friendlier and helpful. Taxi services very good and efficient.
Dickenson Bay Cottages worth the stay!!!
The staff at the property are very kind and helpful, I got a bit earlier check-in and they were kind enough to let me stay in a guest room for a few hours until I checked in for my late flight. The one bedroom townhouse is lovely, comfortable and quiet. The flat has every you need to make a meal, relax and laze. The grounds are well manicured and green, lovely foliage and flora, birds chirping and peaceful. The location is just a short walk to the public entrance of Dickenson Bay between Sandals and Royalton Chic. The beach is beautiful and serene.
I would stay at this location again and encourage friends and family to do the same
Good place
I stayed there during the hurricane season and the staff made sure I was safe and comfortable. They went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay. Much appreciated!
Great location but, recommend a car rental to easily get around, (roads are very poor). Only 1 AC on the top floor to cool down both top & bottom but, ceiling fans somewhat assisted on hot nights. Shower is a bit small with a half splash door. Small carpark area. Overall it was simple enough as we were mostly out all day long.
I loved my 1 week stay here as a solo female traveller and felt very safe. The cottage was cute and comfortable with great air conditioning. I went grocery shopping on my way to the cottages upon arrival, and got the things I needed. The cottage supplied soap and body wash, but otherwise you will need to get or bring your own things like cooking oil, salt/pepper, other toiletries, etc. I left behind the things I bought in hopes that the next person can use them :) The property is beautiful with a pool, and they were doing some renovations to some of the cottages. There is a security guard in the evenings which made me feel safe. I walked to and from Dickenson Bay Beach nearly everyday. Keep in mind, there are no sidewalks and there can be some glass as the sides of the road, so just be careful :) It is a short walk to get there. It is uphill on the way back, so be prepared for some daily exercise, which I see as a plus! haha. Front desk can help you book excursions and taxis if you don’t rent a car. Nearby restaurants are Bayhouse (I took a taxi there although google says a 10 min walk, but it seemed quite uphill), and I always went to Tony’s beach bar, Ana’s on the beach, as well as Salt Plage or Starfish at Siboney beach club (I walked down the beach to all of these). There is an italian restaurant very close by, but it was closed for the season when I was there (looks great though!). I recommend to stay here if you don’t need an all-inclusive and/or are on a budget!
Quiet and nice, you will need a ride to get groceries
Very close to Dickenson Bay beach, and the property manager was so helpful and accommodating. Second time here and as long as she is there I will return.
This was my second time staying here and it was a great experience again. Friendly staff and the property is well kept.
Its a long uphill downhill walk to the beach and restaurants there. But room was big, clean - it was a loft like a whole townhouse. Lacked lighting but they said they will add.
Close to the beach, restaurants and bars.
Okay place to stay, good location
Place was probably pretty nice 10 years ago. It is in need of some updating especially the hideabed couch in Room 2. It was absolutely the most uncomfortable couch ever The bed was good. Bathroom and bedroom are upstairs. It would be nice if they had blackout curtains for the window on the stairs. The house behind the hotel has 6 floodlights that flash on and off all night. This makes it difficult for sleeping. There are small ants so make sure if you have any food on the counters you put it in Ziploc bags. They do have a parking and it is located at the end of the hotel, just keep following the bumpy gravel road to the end. If you rented a car non-suv use caution
Great place will definitely visit again
Terrific staff, lovely accommodation
Krista and the rest of the staff were brilliant. The cottage was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable for an 8-night stay. It was terrific to have the pool for a quick dip whenever the humidity got too much and it’s very close to Dickenson Bay. Lovely beach, gorgeous sunsets.
Wonderful stay
Wonderful trip. Lovely cottages, great condition and exceptionally friendly manager. Set close to the very picturesque Dickenson Bay. The only thing to take account of is the nearest food store is about 25 min walk (5 min drive), so that just needs to be factored in if you plan to self cater. Overall a wonderful stay and would love to return.
The property manager Crystal excellent communicator. Her energy her personality was so vibrant and welcoming. She made sure that we had everything that we needed if we had any questions or request. She was very accommodating and that alone makes us return to that property. Everything was clean. The atmosphere was very positive and warm I would highly recommend a stay at Dickinson Bay Cottages .
The property was very well kept, super clean, with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were extremely comfortable. My stay exceeded my expectations. I would definitely return if my travels take me back to Antigua.
Staff was pleasant and helpful
Nice town-house style suite. Quite large. Not the Ritz, but for the price, well worth it.
This property is so gorgeous it’s unbelievable. Even the inside has a lot of expression plus it’s extremely clean. I will be returning for sure!!!!
Third time here and always great service, quiet, lovely and clean. 5 minute walk to the beach.
Well kept property and friendly staff
Property is in great location The security or night worker was visible so I felt safe. Lovely accommodation however the colour of the towel was meant to be white but looked very old and used New towels needed also could provide coffee milk and sugar especially doeguess arriving late afternoon
Pleasant grounds and very friendly staff. Our cottage was rather run down, needs some TLC. Gutter leaked onto the patio, shower and sink weren't great. The pool has too much chlorine, check it properly guys. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.
this property is in a prime location. rates in this area are very expensive. this is an affordable price. It isn't a 5 star resort but it is a nice location that is quiet and close to Dickenson bay. The staff are very friendly. the units are roomy and comfortable. the pool area is nice. If you are looking for somewhere safe and comfortable and affordable then this is a good place.
Lovely, small condo resort. Construction nearby is a bit noisy. Roads in Antigua are in bad condition making it difficult to travel too far for restaurants.
The staff are polite and kind, the area is calm and not noisy, the room cleaning service is very good, it's a nice place, and it's within walking distance to the beach.
We were only here for one night so we haven’t got much feedback. It was a pleasant place to stay. The two level room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was excellent. The staff and management were great!
The location, setting and layout are great! But it's a quirky place! And a bit tired looking! And some things don't work very well .. e.g. our TV. And the roof leaked when we had a big downpour. And there was a lot of noisy construction close by. But this is Antigua and if you are not staying in a posh resort you must expect to come across the rough with the smooth.
Much better than expected. Rooms spacious with double air con. Nice grounds in close proximity to beach.
A bit aged
A bit surprized about the condition of the room but otherwise pool area, staff and the location were very good.
This place is perfect! Spacious units , not a ton of people, close to the best beach in Antigua, restaurants and grocery. It’s not a 5 star place but it’s clean and pretty darn good :)
Place was simple and clean. Pool was nice. Walk to beach was steep but manageable. Located just past Sandals. We had trouble finding it driving in the dark.
Perfect
The staff were great and very helpful, especially Krista (sp?) the maanger. Many thanks. The buildings and furniture are a bit worn and could do with a refit, but then most of Antigua could do with some capital investment. There was painting going on but they need more then just a touch up.
Staff @Dickenson Bay are exemplary. They are welcoming, patient, exceed expectations. Grounds are well kept. Rooms are nice. I wish there was a broom/dust pan kept in the rooms so I could do my own sweeping. Water pressure is good, bath towels are clean. Fridge was full size but soem rooms have a mini fridge. Cots are awful, low and you pretty much fall through teh springs. But they also have small comfy beds as an option. Pool closes at 7p (kinda early buts its a quiet property). Each room has a porch with table & chairs which is really convenient.
Great location, peaceful and quaint
A lovely boutique set of cottages, with a 10min walk down to the the amazing beaches of Dickenson Bay. The cottages are self catered, but with a fully kitted out kitchenette it feels like a home. It's not located close to the local supermarket, so a hire car or taxi ordered once checked in would be useful to stock up on supplies. Whilst modern and spacious the blinds at the rear of my property could do with updating, as not working properly. I would however recommend the cottages and would stay again.
Very close to Beach.friendly staff.
Staff at the property is very friendly and tries their best to help the guests during the stay. Kitchen can be improved a little by providing plentyful drinking water, tea, coffee, some basic spices and sugar.
Had a lovely stay
The property is great. Quiet, clean, spacious. Walking distance to the beach and some restaurants. Krista did a good job facilitating my stay and transportation to the airport.
Had a welcoming staff
Excellent!
The entire was warm, friendly and very accommodating.
The pool was clean, walking distance to the beach, very friendly staff.
Nice cottages. We went off season so more quiet. Easy access to beach
The staff are very nice and friendly
THIS IS MY THIRD TIME STAYING THERE AND THERE IS ALOT OF IMPROVEMENT NEEDED TO THE ROOMS ITSELF DEFINITELY FOR THE PRICE WE PAYING WE NEED TO GET A BETTER ROOM . MANAGEMENT WAS EXCELLENT . AFTER STAYING FOR 15 DAYS I COULDN'T EXTEND MY STAY THAT WASN'T APPRECIATED .
The rate to stay is a good bargin. There is a pool right at your doorsteps. Friendly staff, clean property. Road to property needs to be paved.
Great place to stay, would highly recommend
Beautiful Property. I truly enjoyed my stay there. The surroundings and pool was clean and refreshing.
The property is very clean and well maintained. Pool is clean and property has a view to Atlantic ocean. Daily upkeep of the room with proper crockery, microwave, refrigerator, oven, coffee maker etc. Very fast internet with unlimited data, also offered ROKU TV in room. Dickenson bay beach is around 10 minutes walk, with a slight uphill path. No property restaurant, need to get drinking water and other eating stuff from supermarket. An Italian restaurant is within 2 minutes walking distance. Restaurant of Antigua Village restaurant Ana on the beach is also 15 minutes walk. Overall a wonderful place to stay for a few days.
Very helpful and nice staff made our stay a great experience.
Ammenities!
I have stayed there in the past. There were two of us this time. We had two towels. We asked for extra towels and were not given any. We wanted to shower after we arrived because it was very hot. We needed towels for the next morning, which meant we had to REUSE the two towels in the room. The next day we requested the sheets be changed and the towels be changed. They did not change the sheets and they hung the used towel on the shower rod and did not provide us any new towels. How do you leave guests with one used towel for the remainder of that day and for the next day? Moreover, there were no hand towels to be used after washing you hands in the bathroom. There were no towels in the kitchen to dry the dishes. The refrigerator did not keep anything cold because the door seal was rotted. The maids turned off the A/C after cleaning the room, so we came back to an oppressively hot room. They are not guest-centric. They should just comply with reasonable requests like extra towels or pillow. Foster the night watchman is absolutely wonderful. He is excellent at his job and is the only reason I return to the hotel. Whatever I ask of him, he provides. Foster should be commended. The other staff, while polite, cannot seem to get the little things right.
The property was very well kept and clean. I had a lovely time here, and would do it again. The staff is helpful, especially Robert who was kind enough to walk me to the beach one morning.
A cute small property, good for getting away from the noise. Check in was very easy. Christa was helpful and even helped me get dinner as there werent many options close by without needing a car. Cottages were roomy. I only wish they provided at least 2 packs of coffe/tea bags and few packets of cream and sugar in the cottages as most hotels do. Good stay overall.
The staff were a pleasure and very accommodating from start to finish. Hey made my birthday trip extra special. I felt safe and looked after. Dickenson beach is a 2-3 min which is very convenient. I will definitely be back!! Thank you all so much!!
Lovely place but needs some upgrades. The shower had hardly any pressure.
Beautiful Property, I forgot the lady name who checked us in but she was very nice & informative about any questions I had. Definitely will stay here again next time I'm in Antigua. 👍👍
Short trip
Quick 1 night stay
We had an amazing time at the Dickenson Bay Cottages and that also thanks to the helpful and courteous staff. Thanks for having us!!!
Fantatic accomodation on a lovely island
Had an amazing time at Dickenson Bay Cottages. Very chilled. Staff were brilliant even taking us to the supermarket when we arrived. We hired e-bikes from St Johns which made getting in and out of the town easy and allowed us to explore locally. Also a car towards end of our stay so we could see more of the island. Reception sorted out yhe car and any other excursions we wanted. Cannot complement the staff enough.
Staff extremely helpful over and above. Very knowlegeable. Property set in beautiful gardens with lovely clean swimming pool. Cottage very clean, comfortable and with everything needed for a super stay.
Excellent quality and price
The house (unit #8) we rented was pretty nice. It has two separate bedrooms on different floors, 3 bathrooms, 2 kitchens (one, we didn't use). In brief, we had a lot of place for our family of 4. The tenants are mostly older people. Even so, our kids didn't look like they bothered them playing, not too loudly, on the common pool. The staff was pretty helpful and cool. They gave us a bunch of info as it was our first time in Antigua. Also, it was very easy to find the place from the street. Vincent
Staff was beyond helpful and welcoming
The property was pretty & the room was nice, though could have used more amenities. Bottled water, coffee & paper towels we would have been nice, especially because there is nowhere to buy these onsite. The person who checked me in did not inform me of where I could shop (there's very little nearby), & generally provided minimal information. Didn't have time to explore the area before things closed, & got sick on the tap water.
Quiet and comfortable place to stay if you're down to be local.
Overall we liked our stay. The setting is gorgeous, rooms are spacious. A/C and WiFi worked great. When reserving the room, I was specifically searching for 2 beds/kitchen, according to Expedia, our room slept 4 with a Queen bed and sofa bed. There is no sofa bed. We arrived late and didn’t stop for anything and were disappointed there weren’t even a couple small bottles of drinking water for refreshment. We had to get back in the car and find the grocery store. We had dinner the first night at the fantastic Italian place across the road. The next day after a visit to the office, we were graciously offered a single bed which housekeeping set up for us. The kitchen is equipped with nothing but utensils, plates/bowls and cookware. There are no paper towels, no hand towels, no sponges for washing up, no salt/pepper/oil. So, we had to purchase all those things. Interestingly, our other stays on the island, all kitchens have been equipped with these basics, plus some drinking water. Additionally, we had no hot water during our 4 night stay, except our very first night. It never was resolved. We had some pretty heavy rain and water came down the inside walls. On our checkout day, despite do not disturb sign, housekeeping banged on our door at 8am. According to our Expedia booking, checkout was 12pm. We were having breakfast when at about 10:30, housekeeping asked if we were having late checkout? We said no, 12pm. They hovered around until we left. Please update Expedia listing.
Reliable internet and kitchen.
MINI VACAY
LOVELY
Staff was cooperative, attentive and friendly.
The landscape was beautiful, and the area was peaceful. we will be back
Spacious apartment
Lovely apartment. Very spacious and clean. Nice location with pool, well maintained grounds. Only negative was the water pressure in the shower needs improving.
Good location for the cost.
Very nice property on the BBC beach which is quiet and amazing Spacious room, helpful and courteous staff
Bathroom hot and cold faucet do not work. TV cable does not work. Coffee pot is available but no coffee. Poor internet service. Driveway to parking is dangerous. Harged $11 extra payment
Small quiet resort consist of 13 cottages, with small pool. Beach 300m, supermarket 5 min. drive. Fully equipped 2 floor cottage.
We really loved how friendly the staff were, they made us feel welcomed. A big "thank you" to the night staff who was always there whenever we came back from our outings to greet us and ensure we were ok. We felt safe staying here. We will definitely stay here again!!
Good functional place---good privacy, safety---no frills and no pretense but very functional and checks all the necessity boxes---restaurant close, beach close, road close, has hot water, A/C, internet, TV, full kitchen with appliances and dishes. What's not to like?
Property was clean and the grounds well kept. Layout of my cottage was really nice.
All of the staff were really helpful and dealt with any problems we had immediately. Generally a nice place to stay if you don’t mind not having a bar or restaurant on site.
good
This was a very pleasant surprise, I booked this budget hotel considering how expensive the others in the area was, the room was very clean, but let me tell you about their staff, they absolutely went out of their way to make me feel welcome, genuine smiles, and even offered be a fresh coconut. They looked out for me with taxi fares so that I wasn't paying to much. I absolutely loved it! Huge thank you to the amazing staff!
First they gave us a small room. When I told them I don’t like where I was staying. They moved me to a new room. There were no towels. No toilet paper. Horrible road around the cottage. Pool was dirty. I will never stay there again.
It was everything I wanted for this trip
My stay was great. The staff was friendly and courteous
Clean and comfortable no-frills accomodation. Really lovely staff. Very close to the beach (5min walk) but slightly harder to get around at night if you don't have a car (quiet, windy road with no streetlights). No toiletries or bottled water were available as the listing suggested.
Good
My stay at dickenson bay cottages was short but good. The staff welcomed me she was very polite helped me to settle in for the night. I slept comfortable and had a well deserved rest. On my checking out I was again greeted politely by staff and they assisted me in getting my luggage to the taxi. My only suggestion is the kitchen cupboards could be more modernised.
The cottages are very clean, spacious and in close proximity to Dickenson beach. They are great for a family vacation with kitchen utilities for a self catering holiday. The receptionist (I'm sorry I forgot your name 😔) was very helpful and organised a rental car for us within minutes.
The rooms were large and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Property was very quiet and accommodatng. Rooms could be a bit more modern, but over-all a nice place to stay.

Very quaint but roomy ambiance! A cordial and welcoming staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable . The kitchen was equipped with updated appliances. I highly recommend this property for its value price.
