Nice little cottages. Clean and well kept. No kitchen utilities other than a cooler outside. Nice restaurant. Very polite and helpful staff.
We were here to visit Denali national park. The crows nest is only about 1 mile from the park entrance. So super convenient for our main goal. There are a ton of little shops, great eating establishments as well. The crows nest are individual cabins. They are not dry cabins, have hot water and a bathroom. They are definitely old, but have a fresh coat of paint. The restaurant on site has great service and good food but pricey. We tried a different place in Denali each night and never had a bad meal. But for coffee/breakfast highly recommend Black Bear down the hill. Over all we were satisfied with our stay!
Comfortable cabin, friendly staff. If you stay in the 300-500 numbered cabins, they are located on the side of a mountain, so you have to climb stairs to get to the restaurant or go to the shops in town.
Older cabins very rustic but with great view. Our group enjoyed the overlook restaurant. we also took advantage of the shuttle service to / from the train station.
Great location with respect to park access. Stretch 3 star lodging. Lodging is dated and due for a major renovation. The rooms are not level (i.e. if you put a marble on the floor, it will roll quickly to the other side). Carpet worn out. Fixtures in various states of disrepair. Faucets in the shower and sink are close to end of life. We didn't need AC with the windows open, but it would be hot sleeping if the weather was warmer, and there was some noise from other guests due to the open windows and close proximity of walkways and rooms. Restaurant was very good, as was the entire staff. For the price in this location during high season, it was OK, but our group (3 rooms) would look for a better alternative next time, even if the price was higher.
Nice clean cabin with comfortable beds. Hot tub was a nice addition. The heat was a little low. We had a pleasant visit overall.
Clean cozy rooms with difficult access.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were fine. The cabins are on a hill and you must climb a very steep hill each time you want to go anywhere. The shuttle was a great amenity.
Cabins are very cute from the outside BUT the interiors need updating and repair. Ours had a burnt smell and it was no wonder considering the heater had something burnt on to its grate and the smoke detector was missing. They are hard to access you park at the bottom of the hill and walk up boardwalks to get up to it ... if it is raining in Alaska, this is crazy difficult and SLIPPERY! For the outrageous cost per night to stay there it is not worth it.
Everything was perfect. The room, food & drinks, Hot tub & sauna, and the helpful service. Definitely staying here again.
Rustic
When considering these are cabins, and not hotel rooms, these were decent for cabins. The rooms were fine and beautiful from the outside. The linens could use an upgrade. They provide each room with a cooler that sits outside and access to a freezer with bagged ice. The van for transportation is old. The cabins are on the side of a hill/mountain so plan on lots of stairs and/or steep inclines to get to the front desk and another climb to get to your cabins. They do have a golf cart to bring your luggage up to your room.
Staff was great. Area had alot of things to do
A 3 star hotel with 5 star service. The people who worked there couldn’t have been nicer and very accommodating. The overlook restaurant, attached to the hotel was great too!
Nice setting. The cabins are very appropriate for the area. The staff was very good and accommodating.
Did not check in due to the Riley fire across the street; Denali park being evacuated; poor air quality; fear for our health; have not heard anything from resort or Expedia about refund. My evaluation will change once I have refund.
Beautiful!
We had a great stay. The staff was very accommodating and the shuttle service made it easy to get where we needed to go. And the view from the property was amazing!
Nice
This was a pretty rough experience. The staff were very helpful but the facilities are just subpar, especially given the nightly rate. Plastic mattress liners poke you while sleeping and rustle around with the slightest movement. The bathroom was on an extremely noticeable slant. The screens in the windows were warped so we couldn’t keep the windows open at night to cool down. Dust and cobwebs were plentiful. We moved across the street for our second night.
Crow’s Nest works in a pinch as a place to stay outside Denali National Park. It is walkable to the restaurants and shops below, but some may find walking up the hill challenging. Some cabins are slanted and we came into a room with a burnt out lamp light bulb and stained pillow. Our scheduled shuttle pick-up was forgotten one day from Denali and we had to catch a ride back from other hotels. We enjoyed the views, the hot tub and sauna, the restaurant on site, and service from a few team members, especially Franklin. I wouldn’t recommend it, but it will do in a pinch.
Cute small cabins. Nothing fancy but nice. Staff was awesome. Incredible view. Nice selection of local beers for sale. There restaurant was outstanding and i would have ate there every night but we love to try new places. Would totally stay there again.
We booked Denali Crows nest because there were not many options available during our stay that were a reasonable cost. I spent 763.28 for 2 nights, but amazingly this was the best price we could find in the area. I assure you, this was absolutely not worth the money spent. First, upon checking in the attendant did not know how to check us in and asked us to come back later when another employee would be around. This was her very first day. While I don't blame her, the management should not leave her alone if she isn't capable of running the place. Then, the Wi-Fi would not work in our room. We immediately reported it, but the girl in the office didn't know what to do, and told her supervisor. He came up and tried the same things we tried, but was unable to fix it. I appreciate him trying, but it's ridiculous to have these kinds of problems when I spent this much money on a place. The wifi worked (poorly) while in the lobby, but that's it. To top it off, there's no cable TV in the rooms, so without WiFi, there was nothing to watch. Several other guests had the same complaint while we were there. Lastly, the area is not very accessible. As far as I could tell, most if not all the cabins are only accessible by going up or down a set of stairs. The staff will assist you with a golf cart if you ask, but I wouldn't recommend this if you have any mobility issues. The restaurant on the property is nice, and the view was pretty good. The bed was comfortable.
Beautiful venue but still needs a bit of work.
This hotel is still working on upgrading the cabins and we were in an older cabin, and many of the items were in need of an upgrade or just did not work at all. There was an issue with the water on our last day. I will say the staff was very courteous and accommodating when we had issues, but I would’ve appreciated paying less if I’ve known I was gonna be more like roughing it.
Free shuttle service to/from Denali National Park railroad stop. Cozy cabin, ice chest outside for drinks with gratis ice available in reception. Tasty 49th State beer for sale. Clean sheets and towels, carpet well used. nice dark out shades, TV mounted, but didn't turn it on. Shower no tub. Lots of steps to climb, but close to other nearby food and shops. The Overlook is excellent place to dine $$. Jan was attentive server. Only a couple miles to Denali National Park via pathways. Bonus bicycles on site that a member of our party was able to ride. Responsive staff, but also a lot going on at registration when we stayed.
Like staying in a mountainside treehouse. Excellent views!
Excellent property with ease to Denali National Park.
At check in the girl couldn’t answer any of my questions and she was way too focused on pushing wine on me. Also didn’t like having to walk up the steep hill carrying my luggage. No golf cart or anyone around to help me.
The road up to the lodging was is disastrous and too steep. Road was poor condition with loose soil and big loose soil bumps. Stairs were dangerous, room was dark.
No service
There was zero maid sevice. The bed had plastic sheeting on it that crinkled when you slept, leading to terrible sleep. The manager said they inspected the maids work when we first arrived the toilet looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. Nowhere is it noted that you have to climb a mountain to get to your room
When we checked in we asked if we would be able to leave our luggage with the front desk or bellhop since check out was at 11:00 and our train didn't leave until 4:00. First we were told it was fine then the "manager" came over and said it would be $10 to hold the bags and then she changed it to $10/bag. We told her absolutely not and started to walk out and then she yelled to come back and this one time she would wave the fee. It just seemed as though she profiled us to see if should could get extra money from us. The bathroom was not clean and looked like the corners had not been cleaned in a long time. The shower had mold in it. The whole hotel seems to be sliding down the hill. In the room you can tell that there is a large downward slope and it's really weird. You have to walk up a "hill" in the room. I dropped a small round container on the floor and I couldn't believe how fast it rolled all the way to the door and it hit hard. Also, keep in mind that this hotel is on a large hill and is nearly impossible to walk from the hotel to the "boardwalk" so you have to wait on the shuttle which only makes trips once per hour even though it's literally only a 2 min drive. Personally I wouldn't recommend this hotel and would stay somewhere else next time.
We chose the cabins in lieu of a hotel and the location and staff were terrific. We were just up the hill from the shops and food "walkway" so we ventured out whenever we wanted. I would have liked a roomier and updated bathroom as it was very tiny and there were quite a few insects and spiders.
While there are not a ton of choices in and around Denali, the place was satisfactory, but very expensive.
internet was spotty but overall a great stay
it's a crappy little hole in the wall with no amenities and poor service. we got there at 5 pm and the rooms were not clean. there is a plastic cover on the bed under the top sheet, I guess in case we pee the bed, really not comfortable. These people get away with this crap cause they make out like its a comfy little cabin in the woods when in reality its a poorly built shack, one on top of the next. NOT recommended.
The place was great- the restaurant was amazing! The only issue we had was no wifi-which is not too big of a deal but we like to listen to the news when we get ready for bed and we couldn't get the tv, phone or laptop to have enough signal to watch the news. But it was not really a big deal!
Quaint motel
Convenient transportation from hotel to train station. The hotel is about 800 feet up a steep hill from the main road. You need to be in shape to climb to/from the main road to the hotel.
Expedia and Denali Crow’s Nest Cabins management were able to pas the buck back and forth, continually leading me to believe that I would be getting a refund for a visit that I had to cancel, for FIVE months. The inhospitable policy of no refund after booking, even if the cancellation is five months in advance is so shockingly rigid that I let myself be strung along by the two management teams instead of working with my credit card company to cancel payment. Now I have unwillingly made a “donation” of over $1200 to the Denali Crow’s Nest Cabins. I hope it helps their business and their employees.
I have requested for a refund for our stay, as we had a couple problems during the stay. Firstly, on multiple occasions during our stay, hot water didn’t work. To the extent that we had to switch our rooms. Also, in the morning of last day of our stay, there was no water for many hours due to a pipe burst in their facility. And lastly, on multiple occasions, we had asked for cleaning the rooms (clean the trash , and change the towels) but they just forgot to do so.
The property is in definite need of some repairs. Was a fine stay for a couple nights but expected more for the price. Paying for the convenience of a couple minute drive to the park entrance
Adequate for a single night only
I’m glad I had only booked a one night stay here. It was adequate for a single night, but I would not recommend to a friend. Rooms are dated, and the whole cabin was more rustic than pictured in photographs. The bathroom was small and the only toiletry provided was a single bar of soap. We booked a king bed with pull out sofa and there was a problem with the sofa so they were going to put a roll out bed in the room and we said fine. Then he switched us to a room he said was a Queen and double bed, and we said fine. When we got to the room it was 2 doubles.
Only stairs available to carry your baggages to your rooms
Owners were very nice and welcoming. Clean room and beautiful scenery!
The property and cabins are ok nothing special. Had a problem with my Expedia reservations on the properties end and it took a day to resolve it and was offered breakfast to make up for the inconvenience. When arriving after difficulty finding it the clerk stated that breakfast would be $18.00 each and that their restaurant was closed and there would be boxed breakfast in the lobby. The $18.00 breakfast was 2 mini muffins, an apple, small yogurt and granola bar not hardly worth $18.00. Very disappointing across the board.
Excellent place to stay
Overall I could not ask for better place to stay. The view is breathless !!
Nice spot overall.
Exceeded my expectations! The cabins were adorable with lots of privacy, clean rooms, comfortable beds and amazing views! The management and staff were excellent and went above and beyond! They booked my excursions, helped with luggage transport, shuttled us to and from the train station, provided coffees and waters in the rooms, happy hour in the evening and recommended local restaurants. Looking forward to returning next summer and extending my stay!
One of Denali's best
The view wss amazing! Room was clean, bed comfortable. The many steps to our room was too much for us, but they were gracious enough to pick us up from the parking lot in a golf cart. Very kind staff.
Fun
Fun to stay in our own cabin. Few hiccups with the plumbing since its the end of the season but we got hang of it. Short walk down to the boardwalk where restaurants/shops are. Easy van into park. We came from thevtrain and they were waiting for us. No need for a car. Front desk was very helpful with tips on park
Charming! Lots of flowers and landscaping around the whole property. Wonderful restaurant, easy walk to the local 'boardwalk' of shops and eating places and easy drive to Denali NP. Very helpful and friendly staff. But it is on a hill. Lots of stairs and walking. Do not recommend for travelers with disabilities.
Honeymoon Adventure
We were on our honeymoon and it was perfect. We loved our room and how cute it was, we had amazing views, and it was a great location in Denali Village.
Low to NO water flow; slanty floor; unclean surfaces
Great location, friendly staff. Entrance from the road to property easy to miss!
Very nice view and quaint cabins
Eat here!
Totes adorbs little cabin. Fantastic view, and unbelievably great restaurant onsite. My only complaint, if you can call it that, was the price, which seemed pretty high for the size/appointments
I like that they had coolers for use… and ice for them😊
Loved our individual cabin with a king bed, couch and bathroom, gorgeous views of the valley!
Initially, the place is remote and very ordinary. The cabins are VERY basic, they only provide a small piece of soap unless you ask; our front window was broken (both the glass and handle); nails were sticking out of the bathroom wood; and you need a ride to get up hill to the room. Too remote and sparse for our taste.
Cabin was great!
Best for those who can do stairs.
Parking lot was used by restaurant patrons so you had to wait for the restaurant to close to find parking. Our cabin's heater did not work and only one extra blanket. It was cold. To get to the little cabin you had to travel numerous stairs so not senior or handicap friendly. Jacuzzi and sauna were not working.
The positive is proximity to the park. The major negative is the condition of the classic cabins. The shower and toilet are add-on and are not level or sealed - you can see light coming through the wall. The door to the cabin would only latch if you pressed down on the handle and the dead-bolt would not engage. Light, rain, bugs could enter around the top of the door - it did not seal.
Cute cabins in the hills
The cabin was very cute. Water for the showers were warm, not really hot but not cold either. Golf carts weren’t always available for rides up and down the mountain but if your mobility is good you should be fine with going up and down the hill or stairs. Staff was super nice and the location was perfect as there were stores and restaurants around so never went without anything. Overall the stay was great and would stay again.
It was so nice to have an individual cabin with chairs outside and a cooler and ice to keep extra food and drinks inside. The walk down the hill was long but getting a ride up by just calling the front desk was great.
We arrived by train from Anchorage and the Crow's Nest Cabins was there to pick us up in their shuttle and take us to the cabins. Check in was smooth. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They gave us a ride on the golf cart to our cabin so we didn't have to tote our luggage up a hill. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and a bit rustic, but clean. The hot water is usually consistent, but it sometimes comes and goes as you're taking a shower, but definitely manageable. They have happy hour from 5-6pm each night and serve free glasses of wine. Very nice to just sit and relax with a nice glass of wine and enjoy the view! They have shuttles running to the bus depot at Denali park every few hours so if you don't feel like walking to the park, you can catch a ride there, but we ended up walking back since it was only about 1.5 miles on a paved bike path. There is a restaurant onsite called the Overlook, but if you want to dine elsewhere, you can just walk down the hill to the boardwalk and find some local eats for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We ate at Prospectors Pizza which was at the end and had a great meal. Highly recommned staying here! We enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back!
Great place with amazing views! Clean and cozy. Be sure to note if you need a lower cabin or yoy may be walking. Although the staff is very good about taking you around in the golf cart.
Pretty basic room for the $. Had to request soap/ shampoo Good location
I liked the location of Denali crows nest, on the same side of the street as the shops. The staff was helpful and friendly. The view was beautiful, we stayed on the 4th level and it was very peaceful. For those who have trouble with steps they have a golf cart that will take you up and down as needed. They have a to-go breakfast for those on early excursions, which we ordered at checkin. Unfortunately what was offered and what we given were very different. The staff was understanding and took the charge off of our bill. We did not get to try their restaurant/bar as they were closed the days we were there. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it to a friend and stay there again.
I would not recommend staying at Crow’s Nest. We paid over $350per night to say at this cabin hotel, which is a ridiculous price for what it is. It is high up a very steep hill, though there are also 100s of stairs you can take from the bottom. If you don’t have a car and are unwilling to walk you are completely dependent on the shuttle to get anywhere. There is no Uber around Denali. It is highly inconvenient, and one night my husband and I called more than 30 times until he finally walked up the stairs to find out their phone wasn’t working. The cabins are on various levels, some up flights of stairs. The rooms are very rustic and include one soap by the sink but no shampoo. The sink is by the bed, so if there is anyone else in the room with you you will wake them up washing up or getting ready. A problem that plagued us all three days, was getting into the room. The key to our room either did not work and/or the door required brute strength to open. You could not quietly open or close the door which meant if one person was asleep the other person had to stay in the room so as not to awaken them. We also needed to make sure we were in the room by 10 when the front desk closed in case the key didn’t work. The restaurant on the premises is only open for dinner. Our last day we ventured across the street to the Denali Princess, which was a beautiful resort that was slightly more expensive. To say that our experience in the area would have been different
The staff was wonderful.each person from the initial contact with reservations to the shuttle to check in and throughout our stay was welcoming and attentive. They offered great suggestions and did all they could to accommodate our needs. The cabins were well maintained for their age and the beds were comfortable. This is a great property to get a real sense of Alaska and Denali.
Staff were very pleasant and eager to help. Property was ok,
This place is dirty and noisy. Constant trick, bus and railroad traffic. Mice feces and cobwebs and smell of pet urine. Sink stopper didn’t work. Screens let in mosquitoes. I do have pictures to upload. Terrible stay with no sleep. Emailed manager with no response back.
Septic overflow
The septic system overflowed into the rooms during our stay. Neither the hotel, nor hotels.com refunded any of our booking. The next morning an emergency septic vaccine truck arrived. Yet, that was our checkout day. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service & non-hygienic experience, especially during Covid!
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating!
Staff as helpful and friendly
The individual cabins at the property were really neat, and the views from the hillside location were great. The property also did a great job of dealing with the challenges that the pandemic has brought. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the Denali area.
Unique log cabins- very rustic. Unfortunately, restaurant & amenities like hot tub were closed due to lack of employees. They did their best, but woefully understaffed
Nice place
Cute little cabin. My first time staying in a cabin was amazing. They are short-staffed but amazing at customer service. The view is the cherry on top for your stay.
It was quite and cozy tucked away in the trees with some Mountain View. Staff were very friendly. I don’t remember all the names. The gal in the office was friendly and helpful. Isaac in the bar was friendly and welcoming. Excellent service and nice place to stay.
Comfy
Great location, right up the hill from the town of Denali. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us. They have a very nice outdoor hot tub with an amazing view. They closed down the restaurant early which we didn’t know was going to happen when we booked this hotel. Finding a place to eat was a challenge. The bed was super comfy. Expect lots of stairs to your room which we enjoyed the workout.
Everyone at Denali Crows Nest was incredibly nice. Transported us to the Park and back multiple times and our stay was amazing
Wonderful!
I cannot say enough good about this hotel! It was so wonderful. The staff was warm and accommodating. The room was adorable! The shuttle made everything so convenient. Everything was above and beyond my expectations. Even though the season was coming to a close and they said they were short staffed we could not tell. The hotel restaurant was shut down due to Covid, but they made up for it by taking us to local restaurants more than the normal shuttle ran. Our stay was truly magnificent. Beautiful property and superior customer service from every single member of staff.
Awesome view
I was at the top level cabins. The view was fantastic. Climbing the stairs to get there gave me my aerobic activity for the day. The people working there were great. Even short staffed they went out of their way to take care of me. The shuttle service was great. The only sad part was the restaurant was closed.
Very cute “cabin type” rooms. All of the employees were great- one of the managers on duty, Chrissie, went above and beyond to return an item to us after checkout, that we left in the room. 2 small complaints, the sandwich in the box lunch was awful, and the shower fan was super loud.
Fun family trip
Great safe. Friendly front desk staff that help us out tremendously.
Amazing location in the trees
These cabins were so perfect. It made you feel like youhad your own cabins in the woods. We stayed in 411 which was higher up but the shuttle easy to use. The Overlook Restaurant was also a few levels down and the Alaskan King Crab was tasty and worth the cost.
Staff was super friendly and helpful, would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to visit with family.
The cabin was just right. Small with a bathroom, though not much lighting. Views were fabulous. The staff tried to help as much possible. Breakfast was not included, though available for purchase.
Love the individual cabins, decor, friendliness and responsiveness of the front desk as Well as transportation requests. The resturant property Is unbelievably great! And didn’t expect it Mike the driver went out of his way many times and we all appreciated it! I will stay again and look forward to it!
Our room was dirty, full of dust and bugs. Rooms have no view like promised, and actually woke up with a MOUSE crawling on me. Check in wasn’t until 4pm and by the time we could check in our room was still being “cleaned”. Rooms are tiny, stuffy, and hot. Both me and my friend woke up with sore throats, sinuses and coughs from how rusty the room was. I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone, especially for the price of a room. Terrible experience, will never return.
It would be terrific ti have ceiling fans over the beds. It was too noisy to leave the windows open, so the room was hot at night. But we.liked the room.
Staff was super, outstanding, etc. great location if one is without a car. Only issue was having room supplies - coffee and towels replaced. Would return.
The cabin was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very nice. Wish the restaurant was open for breakfast.
Great experience
The cabins are unique working up the side of a mountain. The staff was friendly and were attentive to our needs. These cabins and the friendly staff added to the time in Denali.
Denali
Wonderful view. Challenging with all the stairs for luggage to room. Cabin and restaurant staff friendly and helpful
Cabin walls a bit thin. Loud neighbors. Good location
The cabins are located in serene and scenic area, walkable from grocery stores. Our Cabin is well maintained with cleanliness and the front desk staff are extremely cooperative. Our stay was very pleasant and we recommend these cabins for everyone.
The hotel is beautiful, it has nice view. Staff is friendly. I hope they could clean the garbage can in the room.
Denali is experiencing a work short. Never had the room service.
Had to park at base and get a golf cart ride up to your room.
Excellent location; good food; wonderful staff

The property was nice, but what stood out most was the staff they were outstanding. Our car had broken down and the town we were staying in was not very big so there were no mechanics surround however, the maintenance guy Logan took the time to get a new belt for us and repaired a car while we were out hiking Denali, Andres at the front desk found Logan for us and was very helpful. Can’t say enough about how great the staff there is.
