Wonderful Experience!

Everything was good. Hospitality from the staff was great! Location was ideal.Will definitely stay here again.

Room was large and clean. Even though it was an older facility the kept it well maintained and kept clean. Customer service was outstanding. Loretta, Vanessa, Deidra, Deborah and many of the other employees went above and beyond to make sure that the guess we’re happy. Food was awesome. The resort provided free access to Dr Cave Beach that was right across the street Will definitely stay there again in the future. For the low price I did not expect the awesome quality of service.

The staff were excellent. So friendly and welcoming. I would definitly stay at Deja again and highly recommend it. Location is perfect. The pool is lovely, a bit small but the beach is a 30 second walk across the road. Thank you Troy for helping us cross the road every day. It is safe, clean. The food was amazing and had a great variety of meats everyday. The salad bar was fresh and crisp. Really good entertainment every Saturday night, Loretta the entertainment director made us feel so welcome and Satia in the restaurant couldnt have been more friendly.

Central convenient. The staff at the front desk were extremely professional and friendly, so was everyone except the chef at the grill. He was clearly having a bad day and was rude.

Super friendly staff! Just outdated and loud do to heavy traffic. Food was good not a large selection but what they had was good!

To me everything was ok, friendly staff, clean room, excellent food, guys worked really hard to make sure we got parking in their very small parking lot. The only major problem was the noise from the vehicle (motor bike engines) passing by with really loud sound systems all day and night without a care of who was trying to rest. There was one car that had large speakers to the top of his vehicle that just pass back and forth as if it was a paid job. I hope the hotel owners can talk to the police to have them turn the music down when in that area especially late at night.

Skip this property and Jamaica

This resort was recommended as one of the better all-inclusives in Jamaica. It was right across from an included access to the only beach on the strip in Montego Bay. (you still have to pay for beach, chairs, and umbrellas) The property is very rundown, and the services are in name only. The quality of everything was very poor. I expected a lot more for the price. The bathroom didn’t even have a toilet paper holder or any type of hook or shelf to hang or place anything. Linens were threadbare. The amenities like the “all day café” and “grill” were a joke. The buffet was extremely minimal and lacked cleanliness. Drinks weren’t good either. All of the equipment at the gym was broken, except the free weights and if you go there, make sure you wear bug spray! My recommendation would be to skip Jamaica entirely unless you’re trying to go to every country in the world. What you get for the price is not good. It also lacks safety. The pool is tiny, so is the beach. Montego Bay is definitely not a beach destination. There are so many better beaches on other Caribbean islands. Because the hotel is across the street from the beach, it doesn’t offer an ocean view and the beach closes at 5 PM, long before sunset. Only positive I can think of is that the air conditioner worked. I can’t imagine what you would do if you were stuck here in bad weather. There is nothing to do indoors.

The staff was amazing. Loretta was an awesome entertainer. The food was delicious. Was just surprised of all the trash on the ground and the constant weed pushers around Jamaica.

Enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and house keeping cleaned everyday. However the pool was murky looking and I didn’t swim in it. The beach right across the road that is included in your stay is beautiful! Good dinning options in walking distance.

The hotel could use some renovations--its pretty rough around the edges inside the rooms and the rest of the property. The food is very mediocre but again this all-inclusive resort is one of the budget friendly options. If you want to get any amount of sleep DO NOT book a room facing the beach or above the dining area. I met a couple of ladies that were staying at the back of the hotel and it was quiet there. Outside the hotel, there are really no restaurants to explore so that sucked ( I got sick of the resort food).

The staff at Deja Resort was excellent. They were attentive to our needs and made sure we were comfortable. I especially liked the interactions with my children because they felt at ease and comfortable.

Food was local, delicious and there several options provided.

Ignore the negative reviews the Deja Resort is an affordable, comfortable spot full of real Jamaican vibes and amazing staff. It’s perfectly located on the Hip Strip with lots to do. Myself and 3 children had a wonderful and unforgettable stay, We’ll definitely be back and you should check it out too!  The staff truly made our experience special everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and down-to-earth. Customer service here is top-notch! Special shoutouts to some standout team members: • Entire Kitchen team – Food was always nice and on point. Special shoutout to Chef Dexter for the morning omelets and good vibes and Chef Louis my son’s favorite! • Kenney the bartender (day) & Omar the bartender (night) – Kenney holds it down during the day, Omar brings great vibes at night (wish more people danced at the bar!) Just a heads up these drinks aren’t watered down you will feel ‘em! • Tasha, our amazing and hardworking server always attentive and kind. • Miss Sharon thank you for keeping everything neat and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. • Abeo for keeping us entertained! Good convenient location

The people were very nice and professional. The place is old and out dated. They need to remodel.

This resort was definitely affordable but the property needs a lot and I mean a whole lot of work and exterminating. We could not use the pool because it was not cleaned and it needs to be refurbished. The rooms and plumbing needs some serious attention. The best part of my stay at Deja was the pleasant staff especially Abby and Loretta, the bartender and the grill cook with that jerk chicken. Oh, and the convenience to shop, eat, and party on the same street.

The entire staff were so helpful and kind. They went out of their way to help us and make our stay amazing.

Overall, an amazing place to stay if you want something lowkey. Prime location across the street from doctor cave and near margaritaville and pier 1. Definitely a good stay but keep expectations out the facilities low.

Rooms nice, staff friendly and accommodating, food delicious, but if you need onsite parking, reconsider. I was instructed to park in a corner with assurances I wouldn’t be blocked in, yet when it was time to check out I was left standing in the lobby because the bell captain, the entry door attendant and the security guard from the parking lot couldn’t communicate with one another. Truly unfortunate.

It had easy acess to the Doctors Cove Beach across the street and is located in the strip in Montego Bay

Overall good experience. Hotel is located very close to the beach and other popular attractions.

The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt safe on the property. The drinks were good, and they were available at multiple places on the property. My room was spacious and cleaned daily. My room had a view of the ocean. To reach the ocean, I had to cross the street and walk through a different business. It was not inconvenient. The food was ok. There was 1 restaurant, an outside grill, and a deli-basically a coffee/sweets/ice cream shop (2 flavors coffee and chocolate with chocolate chip)-and cold premade sandwiches. The hours for the dining options were shared verbally at check-in but not consistently displayed. Even arriving as early as 4:45, when the grill closed at 5:30, I was not able to have jerk chicken. I tried 3 different days, at 3 different times and never got jerk chicken. I was always told it was almost closing time. Admittedly, at least 1 time I was there at nearly 5:30. I was able to get nuggets and fries at the grill. They were fine. I rated the area around the property considering my experience walking to the supermarket (the equivalent of 3 blocks) during the day and farther to go to Margaritaville at night. There were a lot of invitations offered for taxi rides, goods and companionship. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing any of these things walking alone. I paid $15 to get to the airport. I think it was a 5 minute drive. I didn't know there was a cost until I got there. It seemed like paying by card was an inconvenience for drivers. So, consider having cash.

Resort is few step away from Doctor's cave. Deja guest has free access to go there.Friendly staff .Very few food options for vegetarians! Need to improve vegetarian menu.Hope they can add veggie pizza, burgers, veggie bowl etc.Front desk peoples are awesome! I spoke to front desk girl Lauryn about the food and immediately she contact to the chef and we got surprised veggie pizza!!! at dinner time.Thank you Lauryn and chef.Excellent hospitality..Pleasant to walk night time to the market.near Deja menu.thafoFriendly staff.

Needs up dated and it’s not in a very good area not a lot of activities at resort or shops on location pool is small and was dirty food was the same all 7 days we were there. pictures were misleading staff was nice

Needs improvement

First the checkin was ok...the manager did her best to accommodate. The parkibg was horrible, people blocking us in and we had to wait for them to move vehicles. The food was horrible, the pastries in cafe was stale. The room overall was ok. I would not recommend.

The staff at Deja are amazing! I have only positive to say about the resort and people. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican breakfast, then this is your place. They have a lovely omelette station and many several other options, you won't be bored of eating the same thing everyday. They also play good music and the cafe is cute and nice. The kindness the front desk staff showed was just so amazing, Taniki, Roshawn and other staff members were so helpful, caring, I couldn't asking for anything more. You also have access to Doctors Cave beach opposite the road, you get towel cards also. Lunch time has Jerk chicken and fries etc, but the fish fritters for me took the cake! They were delicious with the chefs sauce. There is a atm not far in walking distance, there are also stores all along the road, if you come out of the resort, the stores to the right are really good, the lady ms. Rosan and Ms. Aretha are the nicest when you are looking for gifts to take back home from your trip. They will def give you a good deal!

Even though the beach was across the street, it was a short walk and the beach area was beautiful.

I researched this property thoroughly before making my reservation. I was a bit apprehensive but with the high scores for cleanliness thought it would be ok. The resort is in an amazing location and with the access to Doctor Cove Beach it was top notch. The food was not top notch and the same items were served each day at each meal. Not a lot of diversity or creativity. Definitely a huge disappointment in the food based on other areas I have visited that were all inclusive. The resort is very dated but was clean and offered a great location for the beach and close to airport.

Beach and food are amazing. Resort is old and in need of some repairs. We were closer to the road side and it’s noisy 24/7. The pool is gross but the beach makes up for it

Good experience. Satia was the best waiter! Bartender was kinda rude. One of the snack ladies was kinda rude also. Otherwise we had a great time. Food was good but snacks need to be better for example a Jamaican patty would be nice! Nobody wants to eat a cold sandwich at 10pm when having a beer.

Good option and great access to beach

More like a hotel in set up, with one pool, but it was clean, the access to Doctor's Cave beach was included and easy (and the highlight of the stay!), and close enough to the airport that we had time for an ocean swim on the morning of departure. The facilities were kept very clean, the food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Special shout outs to Renalda from Chukka, to Satia and Winston in the dining hall, to Loretta, to Diedre at front desk, to Andre, and to Troy who stopped all the traffic.

The staff and the communication is very poor … I took out my own trash twice when I asked for assistance from not one not two but three staffs! My fridge didn’t work so my food that I brought back to the resort got spoiled I asked for a staff to assist with that ass well ! The didn’t have somebody to proper cross us

There was no phones in the rooms. No handicap rooms. No help with luggage.The lights went out. Again no help . The place was a nightmare and that's what was good

I liked the staff. They were always courteous and friendly. Food provided for an all inclusive hotel was good. Loved that the hotel was conveniently located across from Doctors Cave beach. The beach is very beautiful. I wish however that the WiFi was working better. Kept dropping in and Overally family and I had a great 👍 experience. Will certainly be back soon.

Deja is a small cozy resort. It has limited activities on the grounds however, the surrounding area is very eventful.

The staff was very friendly helpful and nice. Loretta was the best omg did I tell you about her energy every night she had activities planned for us to do. Her games were on point. I loved that every day was a different theme. Jamaica day was my best day the food was on point. This hotel makes you feel at home. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner amazing. I love the strip everything walking distance. Oh and don’t forget the beach Doctor’s Cove. Loretta made my birthday very special. The pictures came out very lovely oh you should get the massage the hot stones omg. My room was decorated for my birthday. They sang happy birthday at our night gathering. The bartenders with the drinks desert team. Jamaica is a place I will visit again and I will definitely stay back at Deja Resort All Inclusive. I love it here. It’s is my third time here. I felt very safe and at home . I will be back soon. This is Avery central location , very accessible for me since I was traveling alone .

We had room #93, it had recently be redone, beautiful shower with great water pressure. The bed was comfortable, big walk-in closet and a nice sitting area. A few things we noticed and reported to the front desk when we departed, one lamp was falling apart and the fridge was plugged into a socket that was wired to the main light, so when you turn the light off the fridge is off. We simply moved the fridge to I top of the dresser and used a different outlet. The black pepper (shakers) in the dining area had gone mouldy, a quick sniff test before using first. This was reported and hopefully fixed. The food was above average, the staff usually smiling, a special shout-out to Crystal, Roshawna, Loretta and our favourite housekeeper Karen. And we can’t forget the security guys that readily stopped traffic so we could cross the road. You all made our trip memorable. We will miss having an ice cream and watching the sunset.

The Room

This place was decent for what it was. The most notable pros were all inclusive, room was very clean and nice, hot shower and outdoor table and chairs to relax at. Mixed feelings on the staff while most of the staff was really nice and pleasant there were a couple issues I noted right away the chukkar touring office was pushy, and not in tune to what we wanted to do in the time frame we were looking yet still tried to get us to book something for a time we were not interested in do to weather issues. Next was the issue of the snack grill staff. On 3/14 we arrived and we're hungry after our flight. The grill was open with one cook. We stood there for 35 minutes before we were acknowledged. But because my wife and I are not young and beautiful this guy saw an attractive girl and went out of his way to look around my wife and I to get her order instead of ours first yet she waited all of 40 seconds to order. He cooked her stuff then she walked away and then asked what we wanted my wife wanted some fish things and I ordered jerk chicken. After we finally get served my wifes order was messed up and he gave her jerk chicken also. An hour waiting almost for one order being wrong and the jerk chicken was already cooked in a big catering pan and was barely warm. However everything else was great. If I was to stay there again I would like to see breakfast start at 6 am instead of 7. Lunch start at 11 and dinner at 5 pm. You can do the grill from 10 am to 4:30

Great staff!

I stayed for 2 nights and I could not sleep at all. The room was next to the main road and the noise was just unbearable. The second night, I was able to move to a new room, same block but maybe 3-4 doors down and that was slightly better but the fact that 232 is even a guest room is a crime. I deserve a full refund.

Overall this was a very nice affordable stay! If you’re looking for a property with its own beach front then this is not the stay for you. However, if you’re looking for something that is affordable and walking distance from several major attractions, I highly recommend! Staff overall was extremely accommodating and nice. Food and drinks were okay, definitely hit or miss some days but overall decent.

First time going and everybody was great so nice

I was so well cared for by staff from front Desk Were Lauren greated us with a smile To the wait staff and let me nit forget yp mention Delilah she was kind and considerate when I needed a listening hear. I and My Auntie will be back . O Dont Forget to join the on site club were Loretta and staff keep you jumping and laughing with that Island charm..Place may be dated but service is 5 stars in my book..!!!

The food and entertainment were very good.Entertainment Manager is fantastic. Male workers are more pleasant than the female as. Front desks staff that I met first on 7/3/25 were very warm. I would use the facilities again.

I thought this resort had an awesome staff. Clean! The location is busy. The choices of food were very limited. It has three floors and no elevator.

The recent renovations are quite lovely. The food by the pool is great! The two activities directors were a lot of fun and kept the party going all night! Overall I enjoyed my stay!

The property is a bit dated however their food and services made up for it. As a returning Jamaica we were VERY pleased with the variety of Jamaican food and the customer services they provided. Every day was a different Jamaican food item we had not have in years. Well prepared, more than enough food and absolutely delicious!! Will definitely recommend Deja all inclusive resort and will certainly return when we vacation in Jamaica. Its also very close to the airport.

Well, for starters, the pictures of this so called "Resort" were completely misleading. The pool was cloudy and dirty and only had 12 chairs for the entire facility to use. Promised 2 restaurants and only had 1. Which was buffet style for all 3 meals. Outside the front door is a heavily trafficked loud main road with drug dealers and prostitutes. Food and drink quality was not even close to resort quality. The drinks at the bar were all served in small plastic cups. Very old building, old furniture, old towels and bad internet. Just felt scammed and mislead from the pictures and reviews. Even the pictures on the walls at Deja, were not of the Deja.. Was not on the beach, but across the street from it. And be prepared to pay extra for a chair and umbrella.Would not recommend it at all. I generally give good reviews and let the little things slide, but not this time. I beg of you to go find another spot. And make sure it is not on the "Hip Strip" in Montego Bay. I wish they would let me leave the real pictures I took.

Had to cancel my trip. Contacted Expedia and cancelled the whole trip. Expedia said that they will refund the cost of the hotel minus the first night rate and fees. It has been more than three weeks. Expedia have not refunded anything,keeps blaming hotel, hotel is not responding. Neither of them followed cancellation and no-show policy. Never booking through them again.

Check in begins at 3pm. The room wasn’t ready until hours later. I asked to speak to the manager and she was polite. Kenny at the bar was cool. But the women that work on this resort is rude as hell. During dinner I order a drink before my spouse. The waiter was so attentive to him and what he wanted verses what I asked for. She brought him his drink first. Needless to say I ordered before him. Then when she brings him his drink, she then turned and asked me what I wanted again as if she forgot. Out of line! There is no customer service. You get what you pay for at this resort. The only good thing about this resort is everything is walking distance. Clubs, food, beach…etc.

Hotel and amenities were decent for the price. Some staff were super nice while others did not know how to provide good customer service. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and it is very noisy at night. Good location and the beach is right across the road but be prepared because the beach closes at 5 and they won’t let you back in to walk or watch the sunset.
