The registration was absolutely fantastic simply quick to do online made it simple quick when arriving at motel Staff were very pleasant The dining area on the fourth level spicy wok was absolutely wonderful very very friendly staff and excellent service dined there twice food was amazing recommend this restaurant will attend next time in North Bay

The hotel staff were excellent snd helpful However my husband had reaction to the food in the breakfast room He had a bowl of cereal and one boiled egg He said the egg tasted off and only ate a bit of it By 7:00 pm saturday he was in great pain and had explosive diarrhea every 90 minutes I would suggest that the eggs be changed more often than weekly

This hotel is in the dodgy area of a failed community. I saved 70 bucks, and put my family in a dive. Thanks Expedia. Towels and linen was stained, the sink by the breakfast area was literally infested with tiny bugs. Furniture will be moved in front of door to protect the family tonight. #Dadfail

From check-in to check-out, every interaction with staff was pleasant. They were friendly and available.Great location if you’re looking to explore local dining spots. Everything was within walking distance.

There were bed bugs in two rooms. They switched sheets and left dirty sheets in the same room. The front desk the next morning also told me there was no way there was bed bugs. I had pictures.

To start off with the property would not take payment over the phone to allow my wife to check in as I had not flown in yet. Once we checked in the room looked nothing like the pictures we booked. The balcony door would not open. The TV didn't work and there was no heat in the hallway. The hotel also failed to advise us ahead of time that the elevator had been broken for a week so me and my disabled wife had to climb four flights of stairs

Room we were given seemed like someone from the stuff is normally staying there and they must have been short on rooms, so they kicked them out and gave it to us. The room was ok thought windows did not close and locks did not work, bathroom somewhat clean but needs major reno. The place like 1 star hotel or cheap motel. Last couple items, even though the room appeared to be cleaned when we got there, in one of the beds we found a pair of socks between sheets :(. We arrived late at night so had no one to discuss this issue with but the next day they offered to clean the room but were not able to find different room. Since we were there only for one night we decided to just live with it. Other issue, TV there were no regular channels just streaming on Google TV with various names signed in to Amazon and Netflix. This is also the reason why I thought the room must have been used by one of the employees as most channels language was set to Indian. Employees were nice and they seemed to try address the issue but the room, the socks and current condition of the hotel will surely not have us going back. If you are still planning to stay there, ask to see the room first.

Never again. Beds are old and saggy no hot water for 2 days to shower. Needs a major major refresh all over!

I do not usually leave bad reviews. This hotel really disappoints, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly but everything else falls very, very short. Peeling paint, paint touch ups that didn’t match. Mold on shower curtain, the windows were covered with plastic. The shower had some sort of repair with tape that was falling off. It wasn’t a cheap stay either. I would not recommend this hotel.

Change room after 2 out of 3 lamps inside was not working as well as no phone. This is the worst experience from Expedia''s recommended room for member. The rate is low but a poorly maintained room was offered.

Ceiling in the bathroom was flaking and really stained. Limited lighting with burned out bulbs in bathroom and lamp in entrance way. Room was also cold and i could not find a way to turn the heat up. I probably wont revisit

Beautiful rooms, the lovely lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful!

The room was gross. The whole building was gross. Staff is incompetent. We specifically asked for room service while we were out and all they did was take our towels. Didn’t even replace them. There was a guy literally smoking crack outside of our ground floor room. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.

Overall cleanliness wasn’t provided. If we had a choice we would not stay there again.

The staff was super helpful, friendly, and very efficient. We've had much better breakfasts at other motels. There were no eggs or hashbrowns.

I have stayed here many times. But now, though the staff is lovely the condition of the building does not justify the fees. I guess because of its location it gets customers, but that is not enough to justify the fees.

After reading many negative reviews, we were prepared for the worst, but we had a pleasant stay. Bed was clean and comfy, nice sunset view overlooking the lake from the 4th floor. Staff were friendly. Property could definitely use some upgrades, but for the price it was reasonable.

After attempting to turn light on in the room, I found that one bulb in the light next to a bed was broken off. The bulb was not connected to the base. We brought our 19 month old grandaughter on this adventure. I informed the staff, who assured me it would be fixed the next day. Well it is not yet fixed. When I retuned to the room at approx 3 pm yesterday, our room door was not closed. It was kept open by the safety latch. This is not ok as we left valuables in our room.

The staff are quite nice and helpful.

Les points négatifs: à l’extérieur personne ne ramasse les détritus que les passants jettent dans la plate-bande autour du stationnement. Le plancher dans l’ascenseur était sale et collant et personne ne l’a nettoyé pendant la journée où on était là. Salle de bain: le rideau de douche était sale et taché. Le contour du bain était grisâtre et je sais que c’est de la saleté et non de l’usure parce que j’ai passé un linge mouillé sur le contour du bain et le linge a ramassé la saleté. Toilette: la chasse d’eau ne fonctionnait pas. Mon mari a donc rattaché la tirette à l’intérieur du réservoir. Un peu plus tard, la chasse d’eau ne fonctionnait pas encore et mon mari a encore ouvert le réservoir et cette fois, c’était la chaîne à l’intérieur qui était détachée . Lit: Certains oreillers étaient jaunâtres. Déjeuner: il n’y a pas d’employé pour nettoyer ou bien pour remplacer ce qui manque (le plat d’oeufs était vide).

Arrived late at night, the check in online was helpful as we got in our room quickly. The smell of the room was slightly musty. We found the bathroom was very dated and run down with rust and what looked to be black mold in the tub. Our sheets had stains, hopefully they were clean and just stained. It was cheap but I would have spent another $40 for a better room.

It is downtown so it's not in a pretty area. The hotel is tired. Clean and tidy but in need of some TLC.

Accomodating on late check-in as well as changing to a better room. Rates are budget friendly and fresh continental breakfast bar every morning. Really practical and easy going self serve . Accommodation upgrades were excellent and customer service was exceptional. Staff always smiling and very polite. Very comfortable hotel.

I am not happy, the pictures of the room and hotel doesn't represent what you get or looks like. Hotel is very run down and not looked after. Do not trust pictures on Expedia, there is no way these were from this location.

Fine but could use some maintenance

It fairly clean but the maintenance was lower than average. I suspect they don’t have professionals fixing things up. BUT, you get what you pay for. I don’t need a fancy room. This was fine and the girls are the front desk were so kind.

I am giving two stars to this hotel because of the location and the friendliness of the front staff. It was close to the lake and some landmarks, including the Boat restaurant and farmers market. Otherwise, it is a run down motel - the carpet smelt funny on our floor, and there were cobwebs on the windows everywhere. The most ridiculous thing was the supposedly "continental breakfast". What you get is cereal , toasts, boiled eggs, cream cheese, jams, some fruits. No cold cuts, no fried eggs, no chesses, no bacon.

It is handy to public transit & downtown. Too many homeless people in the area.

Its a budget hotel so dont expect much.

It looked a bit dingy on the outside but inside was very clean and comfortable

There wasn’t communication on where to get the continental breakfast and when I went down to ask, no one was at the front desk. I also have a sever allergy to feathers and they did remove the pillows, but they only had one hypoallergenic pillow in the entire hotel which didn’t really work since there was two of us.

The rooms carpet could definitely benefit by having a professional carpet clean done. The paint was chipping in a lot of areas on the wall. The window sill needed to be cleaned as there was a lot of grime buildup. The tub had quite a bit of calcium build up that wasn’t properly cleaned, all the towels had stains on them.

The staff was nice. Room needs to be upgraded and carpets removed. I have allergies and was unable to stay the night. Staff at desk was very understanding and said we would be reimbursed. It’s been 9 days today but we have not been credited back yet. We stay at Days inn and other company hotels often when travelling and have enjoyed our stays. Hoping we are refunded soon.

It is what it is. Outdated and a bit grungy, but the people are nice and the price is low if youre being cheap ;)

The room we were given was a non smoking so we asked right away for a different room because it smelled so strong like smoke. After the second room we asked to leave to a different hotel because there was hair in the bed, dust all over, dirty mirror, dirt on the floor not vacuumed, and more. Will never book here ever again. I never had to complain like this before.

Bad smell in the elevator and in the rooms.

Mold in the shower. Room was cramped and the furniture was in poor condition. Eg. Love seat was collapsing in on itself. Difficult to open door to balcony including a clumsy curtain in front of and blocking the door. Staff was lackadaisical and at times non existent. Still unsure as to where the continental breakfast was supposed to have been.

I was incredibly disappointed with the room. The carpet felt wet/tacky/sticky and the cleanliness of the room was a zero. There were stains on the sheets, curtains, doors... even the walls had water stains. The bathroom was unfinished with exposed concrete at the base of the tub. The room also smelled moldy. Really gross. When i complained at the front desk i was told they would let management know. The homelessness/drug epidemic is real in the part of town and we were warned by friends to make sure NOTHING was visible in the car. I wish i had researched the area better. Would definitely not recommend. I wish i could upload the photos i took. Just a very dirty, unkept place. Its a shame. With some investment it could be amazing because the location is stellar.

It was noisy and bed was lummy. Staff was great .Breakfast was good.

Unfortunately this will be my last stay at this location I've stayed here multiple times for the king suite however this location is falling apart, the jacuzzi tub was dirty to the point i had to bring my own cleaning supplies to clean the tub, the shower is full of mold and is just nasty, the room is out dated, its 2024 buy smart tv's no one watches cable tv anymore and for a king suite we had to ask for extra towels was only given two, and there was one really thin "comforter" on a king size bed, which was not comfy or worth the cost at all. you really need to spend some money on upgrading this location and having friendlier staff. We will not be returning. which is too bad because at one point was my favorite place to stay.

The staff(night auditor) at the front desk at check in was very nice!!! The room was comfortable and was a quiet night.

We were disappoitlnted to find out when we went to the Wok Bar & Grill it only had indian foid & no liiquor licence. After a lkng drive we were looking forward to just eating at the hotel. Instead we had to walk downtown Main Street which was unfortunstely under major construction.

Buzzing in to get in the building is annoying. But I suppose it adds a little security. Would be better if my key card could open the main door.

When I arrived at the hotel I entered the lobby to find no staff at the front desk just after 3:00 pm which is check in time. I waited about ten minutes and then was treated like I was interrupting when someone appeared. The property has fallen into disrepair.....i used to be a regular guest. The breakfast room was scantly stocked and absolutely no staff were around at all. Sad.

It had bed bugs and we had to cancel our reservation no care or apology was given . They were on the comforters and on and in the pillow cases. We enquired if it was the first report they said no and gave sent us on our, we asked to have the manger call us back and that has not happened

Nice place but reminded me of a maze

There was a mouse trap right at the entrance to the hotel, exposed pipes along the ceiling and a bug in my bed. Very old hotel and not very cleanly.

It’s a basic, older hotel in the heart of downtown North Bay. It was probably a lot nicer in the 80’s!! It was fairly clean, but very dated. It had Roku TV, but couldn’t figure out regular, live tv to watch the hockey game. Only 2 small, thin bath towels in the bathroom. Had to get two more for the four people in my family. Was given a bath mat and towel. Breakfast was very basic. Cereal, waffle maker and toast/bagels. Some fruit. It was ok, and that area was clean. It was relatively inexpensive, so we knew what we were getting, and that’s what we got.

The place is very dirty and outdated. We were supposed to stay for two nights but only stayed for one because of how gross the rooms are. One of the pillows had dried blood on it. The bathrooms were full of dirt. Don’t recommend staying here.

I liked that it was affordable; however, when I went to check out I was asked if there was any blood on the sheets which was quite mortifying. I was then informed that if the sheets were stained then I would not get my deposit back. Thankfully everything was fine and I got my deposit back, but quite embarrassing to be on your period and stay here.

Should have taken pictures. Another run down motel chain in North Bay. Room was filthy. Sheets had all kinds of stains. Bathroom door latch was so old it was ceased. The shower caulking had mold. There were red wine stains on the wall, lamp shade, and window valence. Clearly not cleaned from the previous rental. And there was only one wash cloth. By the time we found all of these warning signs, we were too tired to complain.

Epic Concert Trip

With exception to the heat in the hallways ( staff explained what occurred), the overall experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location was walking distance to our venue. I will definitely be staying here again.

The room is a good size and very clean and quiet. The bed is very comfortable so made for a good sleep.

Just average hotel and checkin

I never complain but this stay was not what I would say my typical stay. I have stayed here numerous times always pleased. This trip there was a few things that bothered my and my mother who was with me. The land phone was not working when inquired was told the entire second floor was not working to use our mobile phone. It was fine because I had my phone, but my mother does not have a mobile phone so I felt it was in safety issue. If I had not been with her should she have fallen there would’ve been no way to access any help.

The property is ok comparison to the price of the room. The receptionist is friendly.

2-night stay while visiting family. Friendly staff and easy check-in. Location right downtown was convenient, but few amenities in area. Hotel in general is dated and in desperate need of upgrading but room was fair condition with comfortable beds. For a place to sleep overnight, it fit our needs.
