One of the worst hotel in Tel Aviv. The hotel lobby looks nice, but the rooms are terrible very old dirty and roaches. Don’t waste your time and money. I read it the reviews, but I did not care and that’s what happened so go look for another hotel.
I was before and was much better. Just stayed there 1. Parking is atrocious. they can care less. no vip parking for 5 star hotel .. what a joke. when you park for yourself .. they had wedding there...could not even use the parking i paid for .. i had to spend 2 hours till i found a spot when the wedding was ending.. crazy 2. Breakfast is average 3. terrible customer service I would choose the kempinsky .. which might be a little more but worth every penny over this hotel. the attitude for guests and parking and over charging for their breakfast enough for me..
Very good
Wonderful hotel on the promenade. Great pool area and good food and staff.
I would stay again.
I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again. It’s literally right on the beach (or across lol) I loved the location, the hospitality, the fast service, the live music down in the lobby, the tasty food. The only thing I want to complain about is the lack of cleanliness. The bed sheets and robes had makeup stains on them, found a strand of black hair on the bathroom floor and me and my friend have blonde hair. The bathtub had some weird stains. The floor of the room felt unclean. That’s all, but I would defiantly come back!
High class
Beautiful
Beautiful full service hotel with nice size rooms. The beach is across the street, a little bit of a walk.
Great experience
Despite having a reservation, it took 30min for staff to find a room. Excuse was that even though the status showed that it was ready they had to send someone to physically confirm the state of the room prior to issuing a key. After being unable to physically confirm they finally after 30min provided a different room.
Nice place
Amazing room and staff
Great hotel. For light sleepers it was lot of noise from the planes at night And quite noisy during the day from nearby construction
Great location to explore Tel Aviv
Great location, clean, excellent housekeeping services! Reasonably priced.
Great location on beach. Close to Jaffa. Elevated pool deck keeps the street out of view. Well built, low or no noise. Close to some great restaurants.
Well located. Extremely friendly and competent staff at all levels of management.Service with a smile!
Great hotel. We’d stay there again.
A Big disappointment; The staff are the redemption
We expected a five star experience - we were very very disappointed. We arrived and although we had booked a room with a balcony and a beach view the room we were given overlooked a building site, with a slice of the beach visible. The room itself was very underwhelming, it was quite grotty inside. The flooring was cheap laminate, there was an unpleasant smell and the bathroom was dated and grotty. The furniture was scraped and damaged and the walls were completely bare. We were then met by Jason in guest services who went above and beyond to get us a nicer room that met our expectations which was that we were staying in a 5 star hotel. Jason moved us to an executive room on a higher floor without the balcony and this was definitely a more comfortable room. Jason could not have been more accommodating and tried to resolve the matter successfully for us. One of the main reasons we booked the David Intercontinental was to avail of the pool overlooking the beach and we were very very disappointed to see that it was closed and there was no notification to us as customers in advance warning us that this was the case. We were really disappointed with the quality of this hotel and considering the price for a basic room it is not worth the money we paid. The staff were really lovely and went over and beyond for us but the hotel itself was a huge disappointment. Would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
Spacious rooms, modern updated design, accommodating staff - Udi was very helpful
Not quite 5-star now
My wife and I usually stay at 4 & 5-star hotels only. We last stayed at the David ICH in TLV 15+ years ago when it was definitely 5-star, but for our two day stay just completed it has slipped a little and is probably now 4.5 stars. First the good: the staff are absolutely first-class - from the management right down to the most junior employee. The public areas are lovely and the bedrooms and bathrooms modernised. Breakfast is typically Israeli buffet style and magnificent. Our visit was in January, so we can't comment on the pool and its surrounding as these were closed (as usual in Israel) - but there was a small outside sitting area, which was good because the weather was superb. So, why the loss of a star rating? Firstly, there was no restaurant on-site (and there hasn't been for several months). Although there was bar food and 24-hour room service, hotels of this size and nature must have an open restaurant to be classed as 5-star. Secondly, the drawers and sliding doors in our bedroom were in desperate need of repair and modernisation. Doors were hanging off. Also, nights are very cold in Israel in January but the heating in our room was not working properly and the room thus quite cold. I raised this issue with one of the management team, who admitted that the problem was across the bedrooms of the hotel and had been known for several months - but not yet fixed. This is unacceptable. So, our previous rating of 5-star is downgraded a little.
Bathroom are not comfortable, room not nice
Nice hotel. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly. My room had a very nice view of Mediterranean Sea. There was construction around the hotel.
Liked the bar area and food The general repair of the rooms were ok but not 5*, the sauna was not working, the gym equipment was old, the service in the bar was very slow....
Paris, London, Tel Aviv?
Upon arrival from a long flight, it is unfortunate that one gets a sticker price shock. Israel has become one of the most expensive place to visit over Paris, NewYork and London. It was apparent as the price you pay for your room to what you get. In general , cost of living is very high. This hotel is a bit run down, it has a 90's feel. Its adequate, but just be prepared for the high cost
Excellent location with great open spaces and outstanding service. Really a great place to stay and well valued for Tel Aviv prices.
we hade much fun. The customer service are the best there. They are really good
We had our holiday and it was very nice
Nice room sizes
Excellent
Nothing special but was very good.
Excellent staff and facilities
GREAT STAY !!!
Great place to stay right on the beach and not far from all the sights to see !!! Not sure why people complain about anything because its all there !!! Staff super friendly
Main entrance closed, difficult to enter from garage, nobody hells with luggage
Such a nice place to stay at while in this magical City….pretty convenient, the beach is only a few steps away, many clubs and restaurants around….the room was so spacious, a lovely view at the sea, extremely clean and well maintained….and yes, I enjoyed the little treats I got every time I got housekeeping service <3 <3 <3
Hotel quotes top prices but hasn’t been maintained and is poorly staffed. Disappointing and would not go back.
They were fantastic to arrange for a driver to the airport at 2am. Thank you so much!!
Great all round!
Excellent- perfect .. this hotel has no faults at all. All the staff can not do enough. I have traveled quite a lot ( not for business ) and this is in my top 5 hotels. Israel is a beautiful country and staying in this hotel made the experience an even better one .
One of the best in TelAviv
Great location
It WOs not clien
Great hotel and great service! We go back every time we visit Israel
Disappointed with Covid protection issues
We especially selected this hotel because of the assurances in the promotional material stating that the Hotel is taking special precautions in light of Covid. This was not the case. We were not asked to show our vaccination certificates at check-in. We WERE asked to wear special gold plastic bracelets. We seemed to be the only ones wearing them. My wife counted only 7 people wearing them at the outdoor pool. At breakfast, the buffet was plentiful but open. Nothing was covered and fruit flies were flying out of the prunes! There were many guests in the hotel. Many were not wearing masks. There were also many children. We did not feel safe. We were disappointed that pool only opened at 10:00 am - no facilities for lane swimmers. We would have been prepared to have an early morning swim to avoid the crowds, as we’ve done this year at other 5 star hotels in Tel Aviv. When we raised our concerns, the desk clerk dismissed them and was quite rude. For the price we paid, our hotel experience was less than worth it.
החדר היה מיושן לא נקי ביקשנו מראש הישאר עד אחרי צאת שבת בגלל מנטליות שלנו לא איפשרו לנו מעבר לשתיים הארוחת בוקר הייתה מעולה
All excellent
:)
perfect
good location nice view and nice pool. nice staff.
Nice place, friendly staff and convenient location. Great breakfast! The main downside is price - definitely not worth the extra cost vs. comparable hotels in area.
Nice hotel clean and very pleasant The staff are very helpful
High level Early entrance Trying to get the best for us
We had a specially remarkable stay. With a view if the mediterranean sea. What more can you ask for? Super stay!
The roof leaks in the lobby. Hotel staff did a good job,
Location and cleanliness. Concierge was very helpful.
The service was very good. Karin in the bar area was exceptional as well as a gentleman from Argentina at the front desk cannot remember his name. It was very cold the heat did not work. The lobby and restaurant area needs to be updated. When my luggage was lost I went to the spa to brush my hair but they would not allow me the small gesture. I am not the first person to lose the luggage therefore they could have allowed me into the spa.
The room I was given was dated, and next to the elevator shaft with recurring noise. However the staff upfront was apologetic and did offer a free breakfast, and a later check out. The elevators were terrible and had to take the service elevator. The room I was given was dated, and next to the elevator shaft with recurring noise. However the staff upfront was apologetic and did offer a free breakfast, and a later check out. The elevators were terrible and I had to take the service elevator. It is an excellent location, it was clean, but very busy. check in and check out was very slow but again the staff upfront was very apologetic.
Location, lobby space and comfort, breakfast, amenities.
Was given a "renovated" room - felt only half renovated! The bathroom and entry way were not updated - the main room was. Looked rather silly.
We loved this hotel, the lobby was beautiful and perfect for after dinner drinks. The room was clean and staff very friendly! Very nice pool and right across from the beach, will be staying here again.
Beautiful & clean property
It was very good except for a few exceptions. There pillows are flat they need to spend money and upgrade there pillows. And check there plumbing there was an unpleasant smell in the room at night. Loved the breakfast. Beautiful hotel
Well located for wandering around Neve Tzedek. Enjoyed the pool and the gym.
Great location , convenient to explore both the markets and shopping areas of Tel Aviv and Jaffa old city. Plenty of great food options nearby. Rooms were comfortable and spacious
Overall an excellent stay , not our first We will return
Beautiful hotel, incomparable location. Helpful thoughtful staff. I’d stay there again.
A lot of money for an average stay
Great location and the room size is great but the hotel is very dated and in much need of an update. There was a smell of drains in the bathroom that we complained about and the plug sockets near the desk came off the wall. The Front desk staff were excellent., but other staff were not friendly. A lot of money for an average stay
all was good. when checkingout did not expect (as a guest) the 20$ surprising charge for the parking...
Great hotel - outstanding facilities & service
A great hotel with superb facilities and outstanding service
We originally booked a standard room for $435 a night, which isn't cheap even for Israel. Upon arrival to the hotel we checked in to our room and we're disappointed by its condition - the carpets were worn and the paint on the walls was peeled. In addition, we found some left over hair on the sheets. We called to replace the sheets with new ones and went down to the pool. A couple of hours later the sheets still hadn't been replaced, and when we called the reception they said someone would be over shortly. No one came for another hour. At this point we were really upset and called the reception again to ask for a new room. After a few back and forths they gave us an upgrade to an executive room. This was very nice and worth what we had paid, and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Botton line - overpriced and at least the standard room was rundown. Location is excellent, service was mediocre and food was good. Hard for me to recommend as there are nicer hotels in Tel Aviv for this price.
Nice experience
The room and the pool were very nice, the reception guy was super nice to us. The breakfast was a little disappointing.
Amazing stay and I would like to make a special thank you to Zahavit, she runs the business lounge, she is truly amazing.
5 stars hotel provides 1 star customer service. The manager provide poor services.
Very nice stay in Tel Aviv
Modern, well equipped rooms, good location near the beachfront and quiet. Only minor gripe was the room I was allocated was next to a service room, that was quite noisy throughout the night and day with the sound of trolleys being moved about. However it didn't ruin my stay and still slept well in the comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again but would request a different room location.
Great Location, very good hotel. Doesnt disappoint
Great location by the beach, short walk from Carmel market and Rothschild bvld with lots of restaurants and shopping and a short cab ride to Jaffa. The staff made the check in process, including parking and luggage service very easy. Rooms are excellent condition with great views. Perhaps need a little more information re shabbat - as tourists we were unaware and got caught a bit.
Amazing hotel, great service, perfect location. Beautiful pool, beach is a 5 minute walk
Relaxing time in Tel Aviv
Excellent hotel in great position. Very helpful and friendly staff. Right opposite the sea. Good restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable stay.
Great location. Breakfast buffet, swimming pool. Attentive staff. No outlet in bathroom .
Loved the warm service from all the staff
Position, room size, easiness to go everywhere. Great for a holiday or business. Would definitely stay there again
Poor
We had an early morning flight and paid for late checkout but was only given till 8:00. spoke to suler isor to see if hotel was not sold out if they could extend it ykll 1:00 am when ww would leave tl the airport so we can rest a few hours before and they said NO. Will not stay there again. Also so,e of gheir rooms have not been updated.
The 10 minute wait at Checkin!!!!!! Otherwise excellent overall, as usual
The service was amazing! Even check in and checkout were enjoyable with Benedetta. The breakfast staff was very attentive and breakfast itself was superb. The hotel also has an extremely wonderful location.
This is a classic hotel in a great location. It’s of pros for folks who’s coming here mainly from the US. Staff really tries to help and accommodate you well. But From a 5 star hotel in that level I would expect to try a little harder on the following: 1. Updated amenities in the rooms - my TV was probably from 2007. Was barely watchable. The AC didn’t work so well in it was super hot. 2. Breakfast was mediocre in comparison to other hotels in that caliber. Even on Shabbat, the verity and execution of the food could of been better.
Excellent experience!
The hotel is close to the beach and is an excellent location and the staff is very helpful. Their concierge service is excellent. It needs to updated
Nice Hotel let down by the food they serve
Nice hotel, great location, food is terrible though, lots of nearby places to eat that are great so no big deal.
Disaster
They are not anything like they pretend to be... Definitely not like the Hilton! Do not book there!
Tired condition
A rather tired hotel with good service, an unsurprisingly expensive bar, and decent amenities.
Nice staff for most part, but our room wasn’t renovated and didn’t have heat for 2 days
We’ve stayed here before and loved the service, the people, the breakfasts are absolutely awesome, and the location is perfect for us. What can be improved are the older furniture pieces, an update in room decor would go a long way, but overall we love it here.
Comfortable and spacious rooms.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable and spacious rooms. We enjoyed our four night stay. One drawback, feels too corporate, I prefer a bit more of a soul in a hotel. Also the lounge prices are simply over the top. Very very unreasonably expensive to charge 26 shekels for a cup of tea.
Great hotel! Great location, close to the beach and Jaffa. Awesome breakfast! Rooms are clean but need a little updating.
Nice stay in Tel Aviv
Good hotel in excellent position especially if u like accessibility to Neve Tzedek. All Staff we encountered were very helpful and professional. Pool area nice. Room very comfortable.
I always have a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental.
I needed a 24 hour break during an intense travel schedule. This provided it. Great drinks, food, breakfast buffet!!!!
Recommended Hotel
excellent experience at The David Intercontinental
Best bachelorette party ever!
Amazing receptionists! It was my bachelorette party and Maor upgraded us to a room with a balcony and late check out.. the hotel is great and the service even better. Thanks!
Great hotel
Great hotel perfect location Great exec amenities
Expecting more from an Intercontinental !
The true for the price and the name I was expecting more , some of the staff was awesome ( front desk and restaurant) meanwhile some others were rude, and close minded ... ( there is different ways of saying things , and they can be said in a nice way) Be careful there is 2 lounges and if you get in the 24 floor and you don't belong there staff is super RUDE. There is 2 kind of rooms 1 with a hard sofa ( this is not a Sofa Bed ) and the other one a little bigger with a sofa bed., but the rooms are not spacious @ all. ( not an Intercontinental thing). The Pool area is dirty and the chairs not for a 5 stars hotel.
Carpets in room could be cleaner and if replaced with tile this would be a 5 star. Bit too big and impersonal.

Dirty and very bad food quality
