Très charmant, Nous avons adoré!

This riad was a dream. Pretty quaint and tucked in the middle of the medina. Google maps did not direct us infront of the riad, but its not that hard to find if u pay attention and zoom in the map. Its very relaxing to stay in this riad and we were in the camel room with. O ac in the middle of June but had a fan in it, and it was not hot. The host asked us if we ‘d prefer a room w ac, which were upstairs but we wanted the room closer to the pool. It was excellent.

Never ever stay there

Really it is very bad place Arrival there is terrible Area around is unclean No air condition I advice to not rent this for any one. I stay less than hour and leave They dont retain my money The only thing good there is the tarq who is very helpful

This was our first stay in Morocco. Room was simply decorated. The tub in the middle of the room was interesting. Hard for me to wash my long hair but soaking in it after walking miles each day was heaven. The level of the bathroom mirror was too low, but likely limited because of room architecture. The AC unit stopped working in the middle of the night, so a few warm hours. Despite this hiccups, it was a nice refuge from the bustling medina and Tarik was sweet and helpful.

Awesome stay!

This riad is really beautiful and the service we received from the moment we arrived was great! It is very well located, within walking distance to many of the attractions in Rabat. Highly recommended!

The property was just as beautiful as the pictures show. The only issue was getting there. You need internet access to a good GPS and no taxi can get you to the door. You will need to walk for about 10 min with your luggage and GPS to find it. But it is worth the walk, and very peaceful. Although it is very quiet it was not that private as our room was right next to the common area. Overall I would recommend this place. There were many tourist attractions within walking distance. I also recommend walking down to the beach and oceanside.

Dar Zen

DAR ZEN is a lovely authentic Morroccan hotel. Located in the old town in Medina. The staff are really helpful and professional. I really enjoyed my stay and thanks so much to Tarek for all the help .

This is my second stay at Dar Zen. Tarek, the caretaker is wonderful. I’ve read some negative comments in reviews but I couldn’t disagree more. The place is in the middle of a busy souk that is a bit intense - and you have to walk through (you cannot be driven to the door) so that could be a legit concern. However, if you’re after a genuine riad experience, where you are essentially left on your own, this is the place for you. Truth is the place is so peaceful, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Rabat. Sure there’s a bathtub in the middle of the room, but it’s a bit of a vibe. If your looking to have a Hilton experience, then go to a hotel. This is where you come to get a real Moroccan experience

Beautiful picturesque place, exactly like the pics. The staff are super gracious, friendly and not in your face. The walk to the place is a bit mad walking through the medina, but also makes it feel authentic. Unique experience, with lovely people

excellent guest house with amazing friendly staff!

All the staff were so friendly and kind and went beyond just providing a room at the guest house. One of the staff became our guide and chaperone for me and my daughter who is studying in Rabat with her University for the semester. Accommodation is excellent in the beautiful guest house hidden in the Medina. Very tranquil and away from the bustling Medina and marketplace.

If you’re driving by yourself like I did , you’ll get lost the address that it’s post on hotels.com it’s wrong, then you have to park your car outside the medina and walk with your luggage through the little streets that some of those are dark without any light The best part of my Stay at Diar zen was “Anouar” he walk with me to the restaurant and then came back for me to make sure That I didn’t get lost He also make tea as soon we arrived The city feels safe and people are nice and really helpful Ps : have some cash with you to pay locals to help you to find the RIAD zen

Wonderful, modern with ancient mix

Very hospitable hosts, I had left my ring and the owner found a driver to send it 4 hours away to me in Marrakech! Great service.

I uselly don't bother writing reviews but I just felt I had to for the darzen, to begin with its as moroccon as you could want it to be, the natural colour schemes, furnishings, layout all bring that feel your in a new place, each morning I would wake up to a breakfast cooked, I'm quiet a lazy sort so sometimes it was early other times it was late.. An a on demand breakfast really does wonders... Next the staff hayaat the morning House keeper and Anwar the night keeper are just something else, really if I could give 20 stars I would.. they certainly need a pay rise for there great customer approach, finally the manager she's a lovely person, we met on friday had a nice chat, couldn't be more impressed with her style and professionalism, so overall the place is a great escape from the busy madina just minutes away, you can soak in all the smells and tastes all over the gaff, would really recommend going as a couple.

This Riad is buried deep in the winding alleys of the Medina, it can be complicated to find although we never got lost. The rooms are small but they have been stylishly renovated. The most important element in my experience was that the staff was extremely available and helpful going way above and beyond their call to help me in a very difficult, personal situation. Thank you!!!

Good location, great building with clean rooms, but lacking basics & could be made a nicer experience with some small touches

The man who met me at a nearby gate to the Médina was extremely helpful. I arrived late at night and had an early morning pickup. He couldn’t have been nicer in running out to get me a sandwich as I hadn’t eaten and then got up very early to make sure all was well with my departure. As a women alone winding through dark alleys at night to get to the riad I do recommend that whoever is meeting guests to walk them to the riad both have a flashlight to lead the way and bring a sign with the guest’s name so they are certain they are being greeted by the right person.

Lovely gem

Excellent service, lovely little gem hidden away in the Medina. Very private and quiet with a charming pool and delicious breakfast.

Beautiful authentic guest house

Wonderful authentic place for those who like to enjoy culture and tradition. staff are extremely welcoming and nice. Excellent Moroccan home made food. The location is not easily accessible but the staff are always there to show you the way.

Quiet and homey Riad

Great Riad in a very quiet location in the heart of the medina. Small place with only 4 rooms but feels homey and friendly. The staff are great and speak English which is good as my French is poor. Very quiet and zen feeling - simple and clean space. Highly recommended is you’re staying in Rabat medina.

Would not stay again

Pool was completely cloudy, with a film of dust, leaves and dirt over the top, along with a weird smell. Camel room was tiny , felt cramped. Bed right by a plug that isnt actually usable because bed is too close. Entire bathroom gets completely wet when you shower. Curtain half hanging off the rod , and the man working had his music on quite loud quite early , all of which could be heard from the room.

Wonderful location in the Rabat medina

As we were walking through the Rabat medina to get to this Riad, I was uncertain what it would be like....once we entered, our worries were put aside. Very small (3 rooms only) and quaint; but the rooms were comfortable and clean and the service was wonderful. The staff spoke little English, but we were still able to get our points across. No shower, but the big bath tub worked just fine for us. Very affordable and fairly easy to get through from one of the medina entrances.

Cozy hotel in the old medina

A nice 4 star hotel in a small palace in Medina. Very cozy. Nice atmosphere, friendly and casual. The bigger rooms are nicer and are worth it also for privacy. Google map indication is wrong! Call the hotel if you check in late and ask to be taken there. Great medina feeling.

Endroit sympa, bien situé dans la médina. Responsable du Riad très accueillante et homme de maison super dispo ! Seul chose préférer prendre les taxis bleu plutôt que le taxi conseillé par le riad pour les déplacements dans la ville cela vous coûtera bien moins cher.

Great quiet place near water

Great Place to stay! Helpful and very friendly staff. A nice small swimming pool to cool down and a quite nice place. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice. Nice Terrace and nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will be staying there next time. Recommend going inside to the hotel by going from the water side of the Medina

chambre correct équipée d'une baignoire de 200l (dans un pays qui manque d'eau???), pas de douche donc, petit déjeuner médiocre avec les produits de l'épicerie du coin, service minimum malgré les meilleurs efforts de l'équipe d'employées en place, pas la magie d'un RIAD, pour 1500DHS la nuit, je m'attendais à bien mieux...

Un Séjour Royal.

L’endroit est sublime. Fatiha et Tarik sont très serviables, professionnels et accueillant. Dar Zen est un riad idéal pour les gens qui cherchent la tranquillité : c’est paisible et confortable. L'endroit est tout simplement génial. Merci à Fatiha et àTarik qui ont rendus notre fantastique.

Absolut traumhaftes Riad inmitten der Medina. Den Weg habe ich dank Google Maps und dem Plan, den Tarik mir im vorhinein geschickt hat, super gefunden. Die Atmophäre ist traumhaft und Tarik und Fatiha hätten bessere Gastgeber kaum sein können. Jedes Mal, wenn ich das Riad nach den Erkundungen von Rabat wieder betreten habe, fühlte es sich an wie nachhause kommen. Tarik hat mich am ersten Abend eingeladen mit ihnen mitzuessen und am morgen gabs Frühstück um gewünschte Zeit. Das Zimmer war widererwartet grösser als in den Rezensionen beschrieben wurde. Alles war liebevoll und wunderschön eingerichtet. Werde ich Rabat nochmals besuchen, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder Dar Zen wählen!

Very good place in Medina in Raba

Vraiment TB Riad dans la médina. Personnel notamment Aimar est très disponible et serviable. La literie est super - petit déjeuner TB - terrasse en haut très agréable. Chambre du 1er plus calme pcq pas près de la porte d'entrée mais chambre rez de chaussée aussi très confortable. Patronne très très correcte, a accepté de supprimer une nuit à la dernière minute ! +++ Very good place in Medina, take some book in english to let to Aimar, he learnerd english culture ... and speak good english. Tolles typisches Medina-Stadthaus, vom Style schön durchgehalten. Nettes Tauchbecken im kleinen Innenhof und alles sehr liebevoll, geschmackvoll und zurückhaltend gestaltet. Das Bad war winzig klein und es gab keine Dusche, sondern eine sehr große Badewanne im Zimmer. Das wusste ich beim Buchen. Witzig. Ärgerlich nur, dass es aus dem Abfluss dann im Schlafzimmer schlecht roch. Besonderer Nachteil war für mich die extreme Hellhörigkeit. Sobald jemand unten zur Tür hereinkommt weiß es das ganze Haus. Und Achtung für Leute mit Bewegungseinschränkung: man kann mit keinem (keinem!) Verkehrsmittel in die Nähe fahren. Wenn man von diesen Punkten absieht, ist das Haus wirklich großartig für eine authentische Medina-Erfahrung und ich würde immer wieder zurück kommen.

Accueil très sympathique du réceptionniste qui est venu nous chercher au parking (car, on ne peut pénétrer dans la médina en voiture), visite du Dar Zen et de notre chambre - très propre et décoration typique marocaine de bon goût et sobre. Ambiance calme et chaleureuse

hemos pasado 3 dias maravillosos, el hotel es fantástico. ideal para parejas. la ubicación es en la propia medina.. desde alli se puede ir andando para cualquier otro sitio. a la noche la medina se vacia de gente y las calles quedan oscuras.. pero es muy segura... es un hotel muy recomendado para un finde romántico
