First visit and hope to return.

A delightfully stylish property with a great location in London. The service was fantastic. The room could use a bit of refreshing and unfortunately the view wasn't great and the windows were very dirty.

Peaceful Luxury Retreat

My stay was wonderful, the staff were helpful and provided exemplary customer service. The decor of the hotel and the apartment rooms is stunning, very luxurious. This is truly a hidden gem, a peaceful luxury retreat.

Nice stay . I loved the rain showers. I will stay again.

Disappointing

Carpet in bedroom was dirty; a real no-no. Registering team were pretty useless and it took 20 minutes to book in and the same time to book out. The breakfast was outrageously expensive with poor selection for the price of £30 with NO service available

Staff could've been alot kinder, some was great, some not so much. Manager was nice as well. Again just a small percentage that was a little cold.

Property shares the same front desk as the Dorset Hotel. At check in my room was not ready. When it was finally available, I was given a wheelchair accessible room despite the hotel not being sold out and my not being disabled. I'm 5"10 so having everything lower is not great! No bath tub, fixed temperature shower and air conditioning on in a freezing cold room on a Baltic winters day isn't great. It took ages to figure out how to change the temp and put the heater on. Bathroom had an unpleasant smell and I had a ton of meetings to attend so didn't have time to complain and change rooms. NEVER AGAIN!

The hotel is located in a very convenient location in Shepherds Bush area. Bus stop is directly outside of the hotel for added convenience of getting around London. The Westfield mall is within walking distance.

I was assigned a bedroom with a disabled wet room. The smell was dreadful and I raised this with the front desk the day after I arrived and asked to be moved. The man promised to get back to me by phone that afternoon, he didn’t. Expedia asked on the same day for feedback for the hotel which I shared saying the smell was making me feel sick still no action taken. It was clear the drain was not draining, the dirty water was coming up through tiles all over the floor and creating the damp smell. With no window to open the dirty water was creating the damp smell. Otherwise I was impressed but I did have a totally miserable stay.

Lovely hotel, upgraded for free to a suite - the only thing that wasn’t great was the temperature of breakfast, could have been hotter but was lovely

Personnel is trained as a super luxury hotel. great bar and breakfast. while you have nearby restaurants, there is no dining in the hotel except at the bar and room service. Great bar food and salads. restaurant,,,,they serve room service and bar service

Service - The hotel is understaffed so it takes an eon to get through to the front desk and long wait times if you go in person. I wanted to change my initial room because it was next to the elevator and too noisy for me. Staff and management told me the hotel was fully booked. Eventually I had my room changed but I later checked both Expedia and the hotel’s own website - plenty of free rooms were available for booking. Room service - for the apartment rooms, if you are staying less than one week, you have to request housekeeping. Nevertheless at 3.40pm on my second day I requested my room was cleaned. At 9.30pm when I returned I discovered it had not been cleaned. It was eventually done after a second request by 10.15pm. Noise - in my new room I heard hammering all afternoon. I mentioned this to reception and was told they would investigate but that there was no construction work in the hotel (this was a surprise to me as I literally bumped into a worksman with building materials in the lift. Anyway, later that evening (at 10pm) just as I was trying to get to sleep the hammering started again. I called reception and was told that the work was going on in the restaurant and that they would put a stop to it. The noise did stop. On Saturday afternoon as I was sitting foyer the hammering started again. Room - tiny bathroom/no bath. Shower had very low pressure. Bizarre/uncomfortable furniture. No table or dining chairs despite having a kitchenette. Uncomfortable bed.

Good but room for improvement

In general my stay was very good, but a few things let it down. - I stepped on a small bit of glass with bare feet on the first morning. Luckily it didn't cut me though. - I had to request more English Breakfast tea about 5 times before I actually got any. I kept being told someone would bring it up in 10 minutes and they never came. Eventually I got some after calling again the next morning. - It would be incredibly helpful to have instructions for the heating/cooling system as I kept trying to turn it down but it kept going up again!

The hotel professes to be high end, but the staff were disinterested and just seemed to be hanging around reception. It's been a few years since the Dao opened and they still haven't opened the entrance so you have to check in via the Dorsett. The staff don't make you feel welcome. The room was spacious but showing a fair bit of wear and tear with chipped paint and a damp smelling bathroom.

Very convenient for families with young children, couples who want the convenience of being in a hotel with the freedom to opt to cook and clean.

Beautifully decorated and a two minute walk from the O2! The area is a tiny bit dodgy. There were a group of individuals sitting outside the building next door for most of the day who seemed to be on drugs and were covered in blood.

Fantastic home from home. Quiet and comfortable. Beautifully finished. Great terrace in my room too. And great price.

Great Service Location W/ Onsite Laundry

I really enjoyed my stay with Dao. The staff was extremely helpful, and my room was lovely. I especially appreciated the onsite laundry service, which was easy to use and included detergent.

Stayed in standard studio flat. Nice, clean and modern. Friendly and professional staff. 5 mins walk to Westfield shopping centre.

Property is modern, stylish, comfortable and located in a great part of town. Staff were very obliging and helpful.

Quick and easy to check in

I would like to extend a special thank you to the staff, who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The front desk was friendly, helpful with my languages( I was need a special help), engineering staff was prompt to check my oven in the room. I highly recommend Dao by Dorsett to anyone visiting West area of London or need to stay close to Heathrow airport and on the same time close to centre of city. The hotel is truly exceptional, and I will definitely be returning again in the future

Best choice in a hotel Ever

It was WONDERFUL. Treated like Family, made to feel at home. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room was excellent well worth the price. Fabulous morning breakfast Buffet.

Lovely hotel with great facilities!

Friendly stuff on the door and the desk, room was tidy until went to move the in room sofa to find food and rubbish under it Wi-Fi signal is poor in parts of the hotel and area around the hotel is ok but need to be alert

The staff were wonderful when we stayed here for a concert. Our room was very comfortable and had all we needed.

The place is beautiful is clean. The apartment was very comfortable big spacious but the area where is set didn’t feel safe, but I would stay here again.

Great hotel

For our stay it was perfect, in easy reach of both tube and overground, staff very attentive and facilities exceptional

We arrived early and staff were insistent that we could not check in early and had to wait until 3 pm. This is the first time that a hotel would not let us check in early. We do understand as we were several hours early after travelling but after waiting for 2 hours we still couldn't check in at 2:30 pm. I would have expected that knowing we were there early they would have instructed the cleaning staff to make uo our room earlier

I love staying at Dorsette. I love the location, as it is close to shopping center, restaurants and food shops. It is about 10 minites walk to the Shefield Bush train station.

Staff was nice, facilities were good, but poor dirty neighborhood made it less worth the money

I like the hotel a lot. The internet in the Dao by Dorsett tends to disconnect when not actively in use. That seems to be the only thing I don’t like. Other than that, I totally love the hotel and would stay here again

Had the most amazing stay ever I felt like royalty with the room upgrade they gave me due to it being my birthday (they put me in a duplex suite) also got complimentary breakfast too. Staff were so polite & security were doing their best to make me feel protected. Would definitely stay again.

Customer service and housekeeping need work

It was our first time staying at this property. THE GOOD: The studio was spacious; the bed was comfortable. Good location for our needs. THE BAD: 1) At check-in, we were told a 5% service charge had been pre-authorized on top of the bill and we would have to request at check-out if we wished for it to be removed. 2) There was no body wash in the shower on the FIRST NIGHT of our stay. We called the front desk to tell them -- after we'd showered using shampoo -- and asked that housekeeping refill it when the room was cleaned; we assumed that would be by late morning the next day, considering we pointed it out. 3) Housekeeping came at 4pm the next day. We had literally just gotten back into the room after being out since early morning so we declined. And that was the only time housekeeping visited; the body wash was not refilled the entirety of our stay. We used some soap we had picked up elsewhere. Needless to say, we asked that the service charge be removed because... what service did we get? For a relatively new property and for the price, we were not impressed.

Great value for money. The area has quite an urban edge with an incredible selection of places to eat. Best shopping with Westfield on the doorstep!

Other than a small issue with the balcony lights not switching on, it was an amazing stay.

Stay was very good however day after leaving noticed £120 was taken out of my account-paid for 2 half price breakfasts total £30.Emailed them twice,no reply so taking it further-please check your bank after your stay!!

Lovely decor, especially the plants.Easy access to tube stops for getting out and about. Great having the studio kitchen. Staff pleasant, we asked for a fan as the room was too hot and they accommodated. Breakfast is good but unless you go early you are limited for choice ( closes at 10am, we went at 9am both mornings, first morning there was a shortage of food, second day plenty top ups of food but shortage of crockery and cutlery where myself and other were constantly asking staff for items). Most importantly please be aware if you have allergies/ intolerances. I shall be writing to the Manager concerning this. There are the obligatory signs ’please contact a member of staff if any allergy questions’ but when asked no staff member knew any info or gave incorrect info. I was impressed initially as each food product had signs stating which allergen was present, but on closer inspection I realised some were incorrect! Luckily I noticed and asked. One example was bread, sign claimed no soya, I asked what brand and I was shown a Hovis pack- most definitely containing soya! Members of staff were friendly but untraine, not realising soya and gluten are different ingredients and allergens. Also whilst mostly clean, if I was being petty I’d have complained that there were long dark hairs in the bathroom sink on arrival, (we are blonde) and the fan brought to us was thick with dust from being on storage. If no allergen issues I would recommend staying.

Nice new apartment hotel, convenient and clean. A bit far from London center but close to the underground stations.

Three times is the charm at Dao by Dorset

An excellent hotel apartment. Absolutely clean and spotless with top notch security and some of the best customer service I have l experienced in a long time. Siham, who we had the pleasure to be served by is an absolute delight. Warm, friendly, helpful, connected and a true problem solver that embodies her profession - hospitality. I have stayed at the Dao three times and every time she was the same.Once may be an anomaly, twice possible an alignment of planetary forces but three times is definitely the charm. Thank you Siham for being so warm, friendly and welcoming that I almost forgot I wasn’t back home.

Good room, nice hotel, would stay again.

A good trip, nice hotel and would stay again. Super bed, good location for White City and everything was fine overall. Discretionary service charge that was automatically added on top of the £165/night was a bit strange. You had to request to take it off, not that I did.

I have stayed at Dao a few times - Very helpful staff, close to Heathrow and the location is also quite central if you’re looking to do a bit shopping or sight seeing. However, the rooms are always smelling damp and the AC never works. It’s quite annoying. They also seem to always be short staffed.

Lovely room and friendly staff

Some staff members could be friendlier. Room cleaning not that great just a surface clean.

The hotel not only is stunning on the inside, but you can tell they take very good care of their rooms. The entire place was spotless. They had little extra touches in the room that just go above and beyond other hotels. Staff was so friendly upon entering and we even got to check into our room at 10am, which was a wonderful treat after flying all night. 10/10 would recommend this hotel again!

I have stayed in the hotel part of this several times but this is my first time in the studio part. Clean, well equipped and comfortable. Nice even for just one night.

First time at this location and found it to be excellent. Spacious room with all the amenities. Would thoroughly recommend for a stay with or without utilising the use of the catering facilities.

Excellent boutique Aparthotel very close to Westfield Shopping Centre.

Overall a good stay, loved the room Only issue that me and my boyfriend experienced was no smart tv or chrome cast. The room was advertised to have a smart tv but there were only regular channels. Was disappointing as we couldn’t watch movies or play any white noise :(

All good. If the kitchen provided with most utensils would be better.

We enjoyed our stay there overall but there were two problems. The wifi network disconnects devices after only a few minutes of inactivity. This makes it difficult to work, as incoming messages/emails don't arrive. We were very frustrated by this trait. A secondary problem was the room was too hot at night, despite our turning the thermostat down to its minimum of 19 degrees. We could not get the room cooler than that. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed covers.
