We loved Curtain Bluff
Curtain Bluff is an old world style hotel where casual elegance is the culture they strive for and achieve. The service is impeccable, the staff is attentive without being overbearing, the food was good enough but I couldn't call it great. We enjoyed the Spa, some of the water sports and loved the beach front area. There is plenty to do and if you're a little brave, rent a car and explore the island. It's a beautiful place filled with beautiful people and there is great food to be had outside of the resort as well.
Incredible views, staff was attentive and even the smallest detail was considered. Wonderful experience
Luxurious rooms, breathtaking views, delicious food and drinks. Spa, water activities, and excursions were top notch! Will be coming back!
This is a high class easy going high quality resort that is popular with people from the USA as the owner live here and are from the USA. Food is good, atmosphere very relaxing and it’s clear talking to guests they get a very large number of repeat guests here.
Antigua at its best
This is one of the best resorts we have stayed at And highly recommend to anyone traveling to anti
A memorable time with family at a wonderfully memorable resort.
The all inclusive nature was incredible. Amazing food and really friendly staff. Thank you
Curtain Bluff is a magical place! We were so impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff from the moment we arrived until we left. We were nervous about traveling during covid but they even managed to make that easier by having employees at the airport guide us through customs who actually bring you to the front of the line! We were after greeted by Morris, who drove us to try resort and kept us laughing the whole way. Pulling in to Curtain Bluff we could already tell we were going to have an amazing week. The resort is immaculate with a timeless elegance. Upon check in we were given delicious rum punches and felt right at home, thanks to Wendy! Our jaws dropped when we saw the gorgeous ocean front balcony that our room looked out to. We were also blown away by the food, we were so impressed with every meal! Not only was the food amazing, but the people making it happen were so genuine and caring about making sure we had everything we could possibly want! We also loved that the water sports were included. We were able to paddle board, snorkel, water ski, kayak and do scuba as many times is we wanted. Finally, we indulged ourselves with an afternoon in the spa and were so happy that we did. The massage was great and the lounge afterwards felt like we were in heaven. Thank you Curtain Bluff for having us and giving us one of the most memorable & magical weeks of our lives! We are already planning our next trip back!
Curtain Bluff is stunning. It was a lovely getaway. The staff was amazing and everything was very clean and everyone was very careful during COVID. The food was also delicious. Will definitely go back.
Great food, super clean, great service
This is the ultimate Blue Blood hotel. Lots of guys wearing blue blazers in the Caribbean sun - just make sure that is your thing. And pants required at dinner. Service is great, people are nice and food is very very good. But it is a tad stuffy - but that seems to be how people here like it! Two beaches are a plus - one calm and one with huge waves. Super fun. One SCUBA dive per day is part of the gig which is fun but this is not a dive resort by any means - but its included so all good.
All of the staff at Curtain Bluff are so nice and professional. The food is delicious - at all meals. There are a lot of water sports to participate in and the staff is very helpful with their instructions.
Curtain Bluff I s Great!! Loved having a room right on the beach. Two steps to the sand...another ten to the water. Enjoyed room service (included) breakfast on our private porch looking out on the Caribbean Sea. Food was excellent. This is a family resort and there were some noisy kids running around. An excellent vacation!
The hotel staff members were extraordinarily accommodating - polite, helpful, engaging and extremely responsive to any request. The property is beautiful and beautifully maintained. The food is outstanding.
The staff is very friendly and go out of there way to help you. The food is wonderful
The view from the room was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. You are treats as a member of the family and not simply a guest which makes you feel right at home.
Staff is absolutely amazing and it is THE BEST FOOD you will ever get at an all inclusive resort!
Amazing kids camp!
Nice staff and beautiful setting. However the staff of kids camp made the difference, what a great lady. Even got my super active child doing a colouring book about Antigua, complete with learning the national flag, thankyou! Only downer was i felt unwell after a few nights, early evening were cold n maybe damp even.
Amazing Hotel
Amazing hotel .... food very good , staff the best we’ve met in the Caribbean
B+ hotel for a B + price
wonderful friendly staff go out of their way to please. hotel cut corners in some small ways, but overall was a great stay
Enjoyable for the most part, be advised the rooms don't have a TV in them. Since everyone eats at the same time, hot water is runs out quickly.
Wonderful break
Excellent - i can see why so many return!
Fabulous hotel. Food was superb. Beautiful beach and excellent facilities.
Beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff
Our stay was delightful in every way. Cannot think of anywhere in the Caribbean that I would rather be.
Fantastic resort, excellent service, will return.
Small hotel with rooms on the beach.
Small hotel with rooms on the beach so it is a short walk to all point on the property.
friendly, beautiful hotel near the beach
We loved Curtain Bluff. We felt so comfortable, cared for, wonderfully nourished, at home, energized by the activities, overcome with the beauty of the place the people and the water and views. We have decided to go back every year.
one word- amazing
Incredible place. Beautiful. Easy. A perfect vacation in every way. Zero disappointments ( and I tend to be discriminating :))
Outstanding first time visit
Recently stayed five days at Curtain Bluff in June 2016 and we were extremely happy with our trip. The resort feels more like an exclusive club, not a hotel. Our junior suite was very spacious and beautifully decorated with a huge bathroom and direct views of the ocean. The food was quite honestly some of the best we have experienced anywhere, either at home, NYC, or abroad. The service is excellent with just the right balance between being attentive and understated. The staff is wonderful and happy, and many have been working there 30+ years! My wife and I are already talking about when we will return..
Great resort - amazing vacation
We were looking for a quite laid back resort to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Curtain Bluff knocked it out of the park. Property is beautiful and well kept. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Two beaches, one with waves crashing and not often used when you want a beach all to yourself, another that was so nice and calm (protected by the bluff) that we didn't even go to the pool (which is beautiful as well). Plenty of water activities and places to lounge. The food was great and the restaurants were open air and beautiful. The staff was top notch.
Wonderful Resort.
Our week went too fast, we loved every minute. Food, drinks, rooms & facilities all such a high standard but we were most impressed by the friendliness of the staff . We had dinner at the Sea Grape restaurant twice, it is on the beach and a lovely dining experience. Many of the guests have been returning for many years, we hope to join their ranks.
A true gem of a resort not to be missed!!!
This resort is a such a special place where every staff makes each guest feel welcome and a part of the Curtain Bluff family. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the beach is gorgeous and the food wonderful. No details are overlooked - you never have to carry a towel as you arrive each morning to a beautifully manicured beach and lounge chairs set for all resort guests. The bar service is wonderful and the wines, particularly those we chose from the wine cellar were some of the best we have ever had. Don't miss out on the wine tasting each Friday with George, and the scuba diving with Junior. The junior suite rooms are worth the extra splurge and we will absolutely be back.....for our 8th time!
Great resort, wonderful staff, great facilities, great food.
Curtain Bluff was the perfect setting for our honeymoon! Anyone looking for a luxurious yet unpretentious all-inclusive island getaway should put Curtain Bluff at the top of their list. I literally shed a few tears when we were leaving the resort on our last day but was happy my husband promised me we'd be back as it was also the best vacation he's taken. The CB staff made us feel like we could want nothing more yet the service was not overbearing. We'd like to personally thank you to Renny for imparting his tennis expertise on us during our private lessons, the two incredibly helpful taxi drivers who took us on what felt like personal tours of the island, the wait staff at both restaurants and the helpful women at the concierge desk. We'd also like to thank the owner and director for making us feel like CB was our home for the week. We cannot wait to return!
Wonderful resort
We had an wonderful stay at curtain bluff. The resort was beautiful. The room was very comfortable. We listened to the ocean outside our room all night. The staff were top notch. They spoiled us with they're treatment. The food was wonderful. I would recommend this resort.
Delightful hotel with rooms right on the beach
Service at Curtain Bluff was exceptional. Whether at any of their restaurants, the pool or anywhere on their facilities, the service was unbelievably superb. And the best of all... the gratuities were included in the price, so you never needed any money in your pocket at this all inclusive resort. It was by far, the best vacation week we've ever experienced. Heck, my wife wanted to extend our stay another week (I think it was the free champagne at dinner)!
Throwback hotel...
My wife and I went to Curtain Bluff for our 10 year anniversary. It was our first trip away together without our two kids; so, naturally we were excited for anything :) Over the years, as a family, we had grown so accustomed to larger, loud resorts with many attractions, electronics everywhere you turn, and endless droves of people (i.e., staff, families, and kids) that, admittedly, we were shocked, in a wonderful way, to be immersed in the simple, beautiful tranquility of Curtain Bluff. We loved every second of our trip. The grounds, accommodations, beaches, food, other guests, and certainly the staff made this an unforgettable vacation.
Just the loveliest place
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days at Curtain Bluff over Spring Break. The staff and the activities make this place most unique. We have travelled extensively, and for a beach break, this is the bomb! We will definitely return.
Every comfort
Everything you could wish for in terms of comfort, beauty of surroundings and responsiveness of staff.
Great place for a holiday
Great hotel with a beach on the windward side and another on the leeward side, so you can get waves and quiet water. All the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Feels like visiting long lost family.
Best little resort in Antigua
Staff is far beyond any other resort ever stayed at. Owner pays great attention to your needs and requirements. Beach is the cleanest ever been too. Food is second to none, not your typical resort food. Rooms extra clean compared to other resorts we have been too. From the time you are picked up at the airport to the time you are returned everyone is focused on your desires. Have been here twice and will return many more times.
A Rare and Wonderful Place
Curtain Bluff is the most rare of places to still be found when traveling. Its design, layout,, service quality and attention to detail is hard to find anymore. From the arrival at the airport to the check-in and check-out experience the staff cannot be more helpful. Rather than see this as another all inclusive resort, think of Curtain Bluff as a fine 5 star hotel set in the Caribbean sea. From its white linen service to its extensive wine list, the dining experience is more akin to a fine restaurant found in large cities. The suite we rented had three balconies and looked both over the Atlantic and Caribbean sea. The gentle breeze made air conditioning irrelevant. Having traveled through the Caribbean I can say that Curtain Bluff is a rare jewel in the crown of fine hotels/resorts. One activity not to be missed is the weekly cocktail part hosted by the owner in her wonderful home overlooking the ocean. She is a most graceful host and the views are something not to be overlooked. Bring your camera.
A Home Away From Home On The Beach
We just returned from an excellent week at Curtain Bluff! It definitely exceeded our expectations and we are picky travelers. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking the ocean and was one of the best rooms we have had in our Caribbean experience with size and lay out. The staff was vey accommodating and the food was delicious with their chef of 20 years from France. We enjoyed a most relaxing week on the beach including use of the many and varied water activities/sports included in the package. One memorable evening included an invitation to the owner's personal home on the property for a cocktail reception. Breathtaking views and first class service!
We had a fabulous time on our honeymoon at Curtain Bluff and would highly recommend this location. The beaches are gorgeous, and it's fantastic to fall asleep to the sounds of the crashing waves on the beach. The number of activities were great, and the fitness center was quite nice. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating, and the location is absolutely spectacular. If I had to come up with one complaint, it would be that the property is a bit dated (for instance, our mattress was very old looking), but it is still well-maintained.
Gorgeous hotel on the beach!
I wanted for nothing. This is the place to be. Very welcoming from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. I didn't want to leave!
Wonderful staff -- one of the best vacations
Everything was perfect. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Curtain Bluff and Antigua is on the top of my bucket list.
A wonderful retreat with lots to do!
We celebrated our 25th anniversary, along with my BIG birthday at the end of Summer and our son's graduation from High-school. Curtain Bluff was ideal for us. Lots of activities, all included, sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, snorkeling, tennis and many other things to do! Amazing staff, all extremely friendly and ready to help make our stay perfect. Many people have been going there for years, even decades, but as new comers, we were made to feel just as special. The food, for an all-inclusive place, was great. It was nothing to go crazy over, just good food, well prepared and presented. The Tamarind restaurant is much better than the Seagrape, but the Seagrape has an unbeatable view on the quiet bay. Dinner there (Italian fare) was OK. Great breakfast! Watch out or you'll come back with a few extra pounds!!!
Romantic beautiful boutique hotel
Curtain Bluff is an absolutely magical place. It was the perfect honeymoon destination for us. Utterly relaxing and we felt like we had been invited to an exclusive, yet friendly and warm private party. The decor is exquisite, as is the food, with every meal served at the romantic open air restaurant right of the bay beach or at the main hotel's private patio restaurant. They even offered to set up a private romantic dinner on the beach for the two of us. The attention to detail is unmatched. There were fresh flowers in our room every day, and we were greeted with champagne to toast our marriage. A wonderful experience from start to finish! Plus the added bonus of professional tennis instruction courtesy of visiting pros and the Curtain Bluff professional tennis staff. And the spa with its hot tub right on the ocean and the sounds of the waves breaking - Amazing!
Best Spring Break Ever!
This hotel was exactly what I wanted: a place to spend spring break with my two sons, where there were plenty of things for all of us to do, yet in a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. The grounds were lovely, the beaches were beautiful, and the staff could not have been more friendly and accomodating. We spent most of our time enjoying the water sports opportunities, which were abundant. The boats and equipment were impeccably maintained. My sons were thrilled with the large wahoo they brought back from a deep sea fishing excursion, and they loved being able to go wake boarding. The food was fantastic at every meal. We had two deluxe rooms, and we loved being right on the beach and listening to the waves crash as we fell asleep. The entire resort is super clean, and it has a first-class atmosphere. We definitely hope to return someday.
One of my favorite resorts ever
one of the nicest places I've ever been, just amazing facilities, wonderful staff. Not cheap, but when you take into account all the things your all-inclusive includes (drinks, water sports, etc) I think it's a great value....
Curtain Bluff Resort - All Inclusive | Home in Carlisle Bay | Travala.com
I liked so many things about Curtain Bluff. The beach area is beautiful and all of the activities are within easy reach. The food was diverse and delicious. A new dinner menu every evening with wonderful choices. Everybody was extremely friends, including the people who were also vacationing there. I loved the open-ness of the public areas, so it was cool and comfortable without being air conditioned. It was a great spot to relax or keep busy.
