Excellent property. Nice location near beach.

We had our honeymoon here in Sept 24, we had the honeymoon suite which was very spacious and had a huge outside area with a hot tub and a great view of the sea all around, fantastic ! Breakfasts were really good and the food was superb as was the wine ! You can easily walk to the beach and there is a lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The Steak night is great and so is the Cretan dance night ! Lovely hotel with a spa and large infinity pool.

Anna in housekeeping was Ray of sunshine. The breakfast bufdet was simply amazing. I'm not even s breakfast person yet i would look forward to it everyday. Pool was amazing. Only negative would be the hundreds of tiny ants on the outdoor terrace of the room.

Amazing food at property, kind and friendly staff who are very helpful! Great location and beaches are nearby with town a short distance away, I would recommend this resort for vacationers to Crete.

Exactly what it is called, Cretan Dream. We wanted to stay somewhere with a pool, as we have been at the beach for many weeks everyday, so we decided we wanted for a couple days to stay at a hotel with a nice pool and a bar beside the pool, as we love to enjoy cocktails all day and night. The hotel was like being at the sea, because all you had to do was lean on the edge of this enormous pool and enjoy the view. One of, if not the best hotels in Crete and we have been to many. We did not have a car, but everything was within a couple kilometres at night to enjoy, so we took a taxi everywhere, 8-10 euros. Great restaurant with of course the sea view and the breakfast, was amazing also. Was my wife and just me, couldn’t ask for a better romantic experience overlooking the sea.

The hotel is very family oriented. Location is very good and many parking slots available if you are renting a car.

Wonderful property, Staff was awesome except front desk who were like zombies, breakfast plenty of selections and dinner at hotel was tasty and great value .Beach scroos the street okay and underground access to it from hotel was treacherous.

Amazing hotel with beautiful views.

This is my third time at this resort. I've been at several hotels in the Chania area and this is the *only* one I have ever returned to. It is simply the best. The views are extraordinary, the staff are amazing and really go out of their way to make your stay memorable. You simply aren't experiencing all that Crete has to offer if you aren't staying here. It is the best hotel in my opinion and the only one worth returning to.

I can not praise this place enough. The food is amazing and perfectly priced. The people are friendly and accommodating no matter what you need from the waiters to reception to the cleaning staff, everyone is SO HELPFUL & FRIENDLY!!!! There’s a cute kids playground and a great pool. We got the sea view suites and our views were marvelous as well. All around spectacular stay.

Lovely hotel, we stayed in a suite which was beautiful, Greek night is a must, food gorgeous, dancing fun, music lovely, smashing plates & fireworks…..what else could you ask for?

Ideally located just outside of the more touristy areas but easy walking to some great restaurants and a short bus ride to Chania. Hotel excellent. Staff fab. Beach lovely and safe once past the rocks. Would definitely stay again if we could.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Cretan Dream. The staff was amazing; very attentive and hospitable. The grounds are just breathtaking and exceptionally well taken care of. We have already decided to return next year. Petro and his team did an excellent job!

Very well kept property with a wonderful pool and even more wonderful staff. Food for breakfast is fantastic and very reasonably priced cocktails around the pool. The only downside is the number of smokers which meant it was rather unpleasant to sit on the balcony. This is not the hotels fault though!

Lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and our room was clean. The hotel complex was great-pools was big enough and there were enough sun lounges. The beach opposite wasn’t very nice and the direct surroundings weren’t either. Just a short walk away from a shop, restaurants and better beaches. Overall a great holiday.

The staff was very helpful. The room and the facility was very nice. The breakfast was very good. Quick incredible stay on our way through Crete.

Warm and friendly staff, clean property

Disappointing!

Elderly couples need to know that certain areas of resort require many stairs. The design of the hotel is NOT friendly to senior citizens. When we asked to be moved because of difficulty, nothing could be done. We will not return, and advise Seniors to make certain to request rooms having good elevator access! VERY disappointed.

Overalll good impression

They have the sweetest staff which makes all the difference-so attentive and caring. The hotel also serves some of the freshest food. Being gluten free can also make it difficult to travel but the hotel has gluten free food products in their lobby market! They also went back to get my little one gluten free toast in the morning and used the back oven to avoid cross contamination. They were SO accommodating. Which made a world of difference to us. I was even told of their water filter in the hotel which filters all of the water. This level of health mindedness impressed me so much. I can't say enough good things about The Cretan Dream- it is the only place I'll stay at while in Crete.

I have nothing really negative to say about our stay here. Perhaps the pool is not as big as I thought it would be and getting an umbrella and sunbed was quite difficult. But that is the case with every hotel I was at in Crete. Also the beach directly across the hotel is not great. But if you walk just three minutes down the road there are beachfront restaurants/bars with umbrellas and sunbeds. Very reasonable prices. Bottom line is we had a great time. And if anyone that is going to be in the area I would recommend this property.

Such a beautiful property- unlike any other. The front desk staff are also SO helpful and available all the time. The food is incredible and the views are the best! This is the only hotel in the area that I've ever actually returned to- it is the best one in Crete! If you have time to try the spa, I highly recommend that you do! Best facial ever. Once you experience The Cretan Dream, you won't want to stay anywhere else.

Amazing property, restaurant steak night was maybe the best steak i ever had, close to city centre and most beach clubs and staff know all the hidden gems.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Cretan Dream! The staff are *SO friendly* and really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The food was AMAZING and they had great entertainment nights with cultural dances and music. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel so going to the city centre was super easy. The rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable. I already booked my next stay!

A mixed bag…. The hotel is situated on a busy road. Unfortunately our room faces the road which has a lot of traffic and the pool and bar. So it can get quite noisy. The hotel in parts is rundown - rooms are dated, furniture worn, and although fine for 1-2 nights not great for a longer family stay. It pays to have a car to visit other areas, beaches, Chania is 20 mins by car. The pool area and grounds are attractive and food & customer service is very good.

Loved this resort! We had the room with a private pool and it was lovely. Free breakfast buffet every morning too! Staff was very kind and offered us free golf card rides to and from parking lot as needed. They have a convince store to buy floaties for the pool which is fun too! Would definitely recommend.

I love everything about Cretan Dream resort ❤️ Pedro was amazing, he knows what a good customer service means. The breakfast was beyond my expectations, there were a lot of choices and the service was great. The rooms were clean and extravagant. My family and I will definitely come back 🥰. I compared this hotel with a JW Marriot or a Hilton hotel 🥰❤️.

The best staff Ever , so nice and helpful

Such an incredible resort with the most spectacular views and wonderful pools! The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We were given a tour of all ammenities and were even driven to our rooms in a golf cart! The mini market is priced like any street side store and is jam packed with anything you may need. The rooms themselves were HUGE, with fantastic showers, baths & beds. The beds were really comfortable too. Plus, they had scales in the cupboard! It was the extras that really made this place next level amazing! We also ate lunch at the restaurant and it was delicious. Try the Creatan salad. The spa was also wonderful and very much enjoyed. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed at and HIGHLY recommend it!

Beautiful well kept grounds. Large gift shop with tons of supplies- the lady working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and able to enjoy sitting outside around the pool. Free safe parking. Only negative is the location was not ideal, you need to drive or taxi to Chania. The parking in Chania was terrible even in shoulder season so would recommend to taxi into town.

Best Grecian experience !

The best experience all around. The staff was extremely accommodating, super nice and they were on top of everything. Everything was very clean.. they don’t skip a beat. The spa was beautiful, amazing views and the food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. They made us feel so welcome and prioritized. Great job Petro! We will be coming back for sure !

Stunning hotel where everything was completed to the highest standard. We'll trained, efficient, helpful and very friendly staff. Everything spotlessly clean. The restaurant food was excellent too and we consider ourselves to be foodies! Some nice restaurants nearby too. Great hotel - highly recommend 👌👌👌

This is by far the BEST hotel I have stayed at. Traveling from Athens, Mykonos, Santorini to Crete - this hotel was above and beyond my expectations. The staff was welcoming, the rooms were upgraded, the amenities were great! Thank you Petros for making us feel at home! I can not say enough good things about this hotel and the staff!

Perfect vacation

Petros the general manager made our stay perfect ! He went above and beyond helping us book tours and giving us all of the information on the island . The best restaurants , chania old town and beautiful hikes and beaches . The restaurant at the hotel was absolutely wonderful , delicious food. We don’t want to leave anyone out , petros front desk was able to get us into a great restaurant last minute and was very helpful The wine sommelier recommended perfect wines at the restaurant . We had been traveling through Italy for the previous two weeks and this by far was our best experience . Petros the general manager made us feel comfortable and special which we noticed he did with all of the guests

A fantastic stay. The staff are lovely and so friendly and thoughtful. The facilities are really good and really clean. The food is fantastic, on the smaller side portion but could beat any restaurant in the area. We stayed for 5 days and then went to Elafonisi for 2 days. After that we decided to return to the Dream Royal as no place is better. Thank you Cretan Dream Royal and see you soon 😊

This hotel is a lovely place to recharge your batteries. The staff are amazing, everything is so clean, the beds are comfy and the food is off the chart!! The weather was just a little off which meant we didn't have the chance to enjoy the pool bar and the swimming pool was chilly. But that's a good reason for another visit!

Amazing hotel, beautiful pool with stunning view. Nice bar and restaurant. Big praise to reception, spa and cleaning staff (so friendly and helpful). Negative points: Breakfast staff is nice except one lady (the oldest) who was quite rude sometimes with customers. Unable to make hot latte, cappuccino with alternative milk as they are using electronic coffee machines. Staff refused to warm alternative milk upon request. No entertainment in the evening. Beach in front of the hotel is not very clean, no sun bed available (you can rent one from the hotel next door)

Simply amazing.

Simply amazing! The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The pool is great for both children and adults and the gym / spa are world class.

Really a "Dream" Hotel

As it is in its name it was really a Dream hotel. From the onset we were treated so warmly and felt so welcome. The hotel was way more than what it appeared on the website. Service was impeccable, staff was amazing. Food was excellent with a variety of choices. The rooms were large and clean. The pool was amazing the atmosphere throughout the property was upbeat. This is truely a find!!! Thank you for making this the best week ever!

This was the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in. The reception lobby is brilliantly decorated and sensationally scented. The oil used to scent the lobby is available for sale. We purchased it and absolutely love it. The luxury rooms offer semi-private infinity edge pools, decks, and lounge chairs. The rooms are humongous and overlook the sea. The bed is super comfortable, as is the sofa. We actually cancelled an excursion to instead spend the day at the hotel - it is that nice! One of the best kept secrets is they have a world class chef and arguably the best food in Crete! The vegetables and other ingredients are grown locally at their own garden. The management and staff are also amazing and take care in speaking to you. Irene and Petro P. at reception are simply amazing. Petro K, the manager, took his time to personally welcome us and again have light conversation with us as we were preparing to order lunch. The on sight mini market is reasonably priced and has a lovely lady who is eager to help you find the perfect gift. The beach is right across the street. It seems to be more of a surfers haven than a sunbathers paradise.

First the management and staff are simply perfect. The manager is a great human being and fair and treats every aspect of the property, especially guest service, as his own baby. The amenities of the hotel, especially the pool are simply fantastic. The food and wine are excellent because all staff from housekeeping to the sommelier, are top shelf. For example they have a sommelier who is passionate about wine tasting and especially knows Greek wine. The area is beautiful with a cute beach in front, and Chania old town with all it offers only fifteen minutes away. Tons of beautiful beaches close by. What more can I say… as close to a perfect place as possible, especially at its not “cheap”, but reasonable price point. I have paid five times as much for much less. You’ll love the manager and his staff and you’ll make friends with other guests.

We booked a suite with a private pool, unfortunately due to time of year, October, the sun is so low in sky that there was little and no sun on pool so it did not warm up, we used it for 10 minutes in whole weeks stay ,so it was a waste of money. Room was lovely but we wanted a private pool we could use.

The property has a great pool area and we were very happy with the room. The breakfast was good as well as the lunch and cocktails.

We loved the infinity pool looking out to sea. All areas were kept spotlessly clean and well maintained. All members of staff were friendly, helpful and professional- we were made to feel very welcome.

My newly wedded husband and I went to Cretan Dream Royal on our mini-honeymoon. The hotel made our stay special from the start by getting us a surprise upgrade to luxury suites - thank you! We had such a wonderful time at the resort, all of the staff are super friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. A very special thanks goes to Emanuelis (sorry if I mis-spelt!) who proved to be an excellent wine expert, highly professional and even went the extra mile to arrange for delicious special local honey to be delivered for us to the hotel. He is an absolute star! The hotel was very cosy, clean and beautiful. We found that we spent most of the time there. It’s a family hotel but nevertheless was great for us as a couple as we found lots of relaxation and peace. The food is absolutely outstanding and we found ourselves only eating at the hotel, alternating between ala carte and the buffet. Fantastic choices, excellent Greek wine and the atmosphere is perfect. They do themed nights which were a lot of fun, e.g. the Greek night were we ended up dancing a lot of Zorba! We also used the spa for couple’s massage and facials. The service is outstanding and highly professional, the facilities are gorgeous and you can find a lot of peace there. We loved the treatments which were delivered in a very skilled and professional way by Georgina and John. We would absolutely recommend using the spa for that special treatment and relaxation.

Along with my family we were in this hotel for 14 nights and we loved the place. The Stuff was very friendly and helpfull. All facilities were very clean. They organized something every evening and food was very tasty. I would reccomend this hotel to everyone.

My husbsnd and I visited this hotel in july 2019. Upon arriving we were offered an upgrade to one of the suites ajoining the hotel which was palatial and very much appreciated. Everything about this hotel was faultless from the helpful and curteous staff to the great food at breakfast and dinner. Alternatively the pool bar offers excellent choice and large portions. Particularly enjoyed the club sandwiches. The hotel offeres 3 special nights bbq, cretan night with entertainment and a seafood night. Went to the greek night and the food ,music and dancing was excellent and shouldnt be missed!! Hotel was very clean and well maintained.The spa people as previously poorly reviewed did not bother us. We were asked once and when we declined,she took our room number so as not to ask again. We were offered a free 15 minute massage to entice us. This hotel is in a great location with a regular bus service to chania and the other way agia marina and plantanius. All worth the trip. There are also land trains with 8 different routes. We did the orange trip and had a great time. We will definately go back,which is something we rarely say!!

Beautiful pool and great food. Our problem was not realising it was a three hour transfer from our airport - our fault not theirs but sonething to warch out for.

Highly Recommend Staying!

This was the most amazing place to spend our honeymoon, and as we stayed we loved it more and more! The staff was wonderful, and very helpful. We didn’t have anything planned for activities and they helped us get it all booked. The food was delicious, and the location as a whole was perfect! Just across the street is the beach, and just down the walk on the sidewalks are plenty of restaurants, shops, and markets. We were just outside of the town of Chania, and we loved being just enough away from it, but still close to all the action. Can’t say enough great things!!

Overall facilities were good; would have been good to have ironing board in the room. Sometimes the shower floods the bathroom floor - would be good to have curtains. Staff were great and the location of the hotel is at one end of Stalos. Good to have bus stops nearby.

This hotel was perfect for our family vacation. The room was spacious and the staff went above and beyond for any of our requests.

Some confusion, but beautiful hotel

The front desk staff was not helpful during our stay. At check in never explained about the pool towels. We asked for a boxed breakfast since we were leaving in the morning and the message was never sent. There was also confusion about the 1/2 pension/dinner on the first night we were there. All in all, minor stuff but still annoying. Hotel room was large, great for families. the pool was nice. view is great. Breakfast was good. I'd stay again.

Excellent staff, great food, good location apart from on a busy main road. Pool is not heated, beware!

My room is big and spacious. I booked the suite with sea view and it is. However there are some local building between the ocean and our balcony that doesn’t look nice. We have buffet dinner in the hotel and it is not good at all. The breakfast is ok. I guess breakfast is a lot easier to prepare. Staff are friendly. Recommended except food
