The hotel was fine. The neighborhood was sketchy and noisy. Lots of police cars going by.

First trip to munich

The hotel is in a good spot minutes away from all the historic buildings. It is clean and comfortable. One of my primary reasons for staying here is expectations of western service which we didnt get. The only english channels you will find on tv is news. All the movie channels are in german or middle eastern.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to visit the Christmas market. It's near the Munich Hauptbahnhof, trams, and the subway. Staff are friendly.

Close to train station about 20 minute walk to Marienplatz. Hotel is very nice, comfortable and breakfast was lovely. Dinner there was excellent. However the area is very dirty, sleazy and feels unsafe. Street drinking and drug deals in broad daylight.

Very nice people to deal with and met all m y expectations. I would recommend this property for the convenience to Munich City Center (4 blocks away) and S-bahn (also 4 blocks away). Very walkable area with a variety of dining options; in fact we had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant right around the corner from the hotel - who'd of thought eating mexican in Munich - lol; but the food was delicious. Hotel food and bar was also very convenient - good food as well. Glad we stayed here as nightly cost was very well priced for the location. Definitely will stay here in the future

Great location in terms of moving around Munich. Close to train station and within walking distance to Marienplatz, Virtualik Market etc. area around a bit dodgy but was fine. Room was spacious and staff very helpful

Decebt stay

Decent stay, location is pretty central. Bathtub didn't drain properly and considering the price point would have expected just a tad more. Breakfast was fab though as well as service at the front desk.

The hotel was great! But the area felt very unsafe and uncomfortable. There was no laundry service, only dry cleaning, however we were directed to a nice laundry mat a few blocks away. Given the location it was very quiet in the room. Limited dining options in the hotel. Very clean hotel!

The facility was convenient to location we were visiting. Staff was courteous and very responsive to our needs.

My room was robbed of all my cash

We came for Oktoberfest and loved that the hotel was walking distance from the event grounds. Plenty of restaurants nearby that we walked to and the actual hotel facility was very nice!

A great stay at a great location for Oktoberfest, which is only a 15 min walk away. Everything was clean, service was excellent all around, and there's a variety of stores nearby, including a clothing store in the hotel itself. Only negative notes is the ice machine was broken on our floor, and the breakfast was fairly average, nothing special. Would absolutely recommend, especially for anyone coming for Oktoberfest

The property is a very short walk to the train station and about a 10 minute walk to the Octoberfest grounds. The complimentary beer/pretzel was nice and the breakfast was excellent-definitely worth the extra cost.

Hotel was fine - location has very much descended into a not so comfortable, i.e. rough environment. Rooms are what you would expect from a major chain, basic, functional and clean. Photos of the lobby are totally deceptive, I think this property is way overpriced for what it is!

This was a great centralized location for our stay. Restaurants were near by, the bus pick up station for our excursion was within walking distance. Very clean with great breakfast! Staff was very helpful to guide us in getting back to the airport. Highly recommend it!

The hotel room was great but we had a room on a very noisy street side. The parking was a bit confusing as we parked in a garage but when we checked in they told us the garage was not open. The staff were all efficient and helpful. It is in a great central location.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff and good bar/restaurant. The area around outside is not so good but typical of areas in Germany close to main stations. Still not to far to the old town and the Oktoberfest site

Liked it was close to the train station and easily accessible.

The property itself is well maintained. The surrounding area is under construction and after dark is uncomfortable for walking due to residents. Three blocks from this property Munich is GREAT.

The hotel itself was great. Friendly staff, nice, clean rooms, front desk operated well. What was a problem for us was the parking. The Courtyard needs to put something on their website about where you can park to check in. For visitors such as my wife and I we had to drive around the block 3 times to figure out where to park just in order to check in. We just traveled to Stuttgart and the property we are staying at had instructions to that effect - very nice. The area around the Courtyard is a little suspect but we did not incur any issues.

Good hotel

Great hotel. Very clean, easy check in, staff is efficient and helpful. Area around the hotel is a little sketch. Sidewalks are very narrow, people just leaning against the buildings smoking all day and night, construction everywhere. The safer places to eat are about 20-30 minute walk from the hotel.

Street area out front felt a little unsafe. Had no issues and there are lots of tourists around so was ok.

The hotel is within walking distance to the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little pricey for the area so only ate there once. The area was safe but not in the touristy area. Overall not a bad place to stay.

Very nice room. Upscale with very friendly staff. The pizza in the restaurant and breakfast were excellent. Walking distance to the train station and car rental station. Several international restaurants nearby. A good bit of construction work in the area makes walking difficult, but possible.

The room was comfortable enough for 3 people with a rollaway bed. The breakfast was excellent with omelet station and lots of variety. The area itself wasn’t the nicest but it was safe to walk to and from Marienplatz. The main train station is a 5 minute walk.

Good location and can walk to the main areas easily. Hotel was clean, comfortable and staff helpful and friendly. Everyone commented on the area but we had no issues and there are a few great local restaurants nearby. Would stay there again.

Overall, my rating is 4 stars also in the individual categories. The only thing to improve would be the air conditioning which had been disabled on purpose. For sure a good thing for the planet, but I would like to be able to make that decision myself.

We travelled as a family and Munich has 4 hotels called “courtyard marriott”. We booked 3 rooms and one of them ended up in a different hotel… we asked the booking to be cancelled and rebooked in the same hotel as the rest of the family and Marriott refused… we ended up paying twice. SHAMEFULL

double booking for my family was done in two different hotels. Both were in Munich, and called Courtyard by Marriott. They would not resolve the issue and force me to double pay my rooms. SHAMEFULL

Not a great location

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The property was clean but the area was terrible and unsafe. Would not recommend specially for family.

The hotel is what you would expect, nice inside, clean etc but the neighborhood is shoddy and lots of people hanging around on the street. You’d be better off closer to the city center - Marienplatz

This is an average courtyard by Marriott with average amenities. bathroom is small and the rooms are average size. Not in an historical neighborhood The property is Close to a red light district a block away

Experience

The breakfast was amazing! The room included a really big and smart TV. However, the towels were very old and gray not white because of the usage. If you are Marriott, I think you must use the new towels all the time.

Loved the hotel but area has changed since last visit. Transportation very expensive to the airport. Used train because of cost.

Great location to catch the train or attractions. Lots of restaurant options. They only give you water for the first night! They don’t replenish lotions nor all the towels. The bar is a good place to wind down after a long day, drinks are pretty reasonably priced but the kitchen closes at 10am.

The hotel is very nice and the amenities are good. The area around the hotel, being near the central train station (Hauptbahnhof) are often congested, and not always pleasant.The main tourist areas—Altstadt—are not far. There are many dining options and a lot of shopping, historic points of interest nearby.

The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. However the location was in a more run down part of the city centre! Except for this it was good!

This hotel was really great. One of the most comfortable beds that I’ve ever slept in. Whilst we didn’t have breakfast the food in the hotel was very good. The staff were excellent. One of the bar staff, Mike was the most friendliest person, polite and the service he provided was 2nd to none. Infact, all of the staff were exceptional. Definitely would recommend this hotel. One drawback was its location, I didn’t like the amount of beggars hanging around the street that the hotel was located in.

Everything was close to excellence apart from the bed that was too soft and bouncy bec of a topper? and our door going to balcony could not be opened. Over all was good. Location was brilliant close to tourist landmarks and central station. Staff were helpful and friendly.

The Hotel was very nice, with clean and comfortable room and friendly staffs. It's a pity that the surrounding areas, with alot of construction and road works, were noisy and inconvenient.

The location and price were great, especially for the time of year. The breakfast was good but a little over priced. Daniel, at the front desk, was helpful and very kind. The one concern we had was the lack of safety in the bathrooms. The glass half-wall moved and was very unsafe for old people trying to take the big step in and out of the bathtub.
