Lovely hotel and wonderful location. Only problem was the pool had done issues and was clearly not totally clean each day but I suspect it was a filter issue and they tried to drain and clean daily. Other was a wedding happening on the back side of hotel where every single room is, quite an odd choice given the noice and echo. But the rooms were lovely, showers were great, drinks were fresh and tasty. Best of all you can people watch the beach from the pool and not get bothered by the walking vendors.

Beautiful views and beach access was a plus!

Upon arriving at the hotel our suite which we showed evidence that we booked was not available. They tried to put us in a standard room. After discussion they put us in a larger suite which was nice except it smelled of Mold so bad it almost made us throw up. Opening balcony doors did not help. They agreed to move us the next day but never contacted us. Had to go to the desk and asked to be moved which they did (to our original room miraculously). At the pool bar I was charged 385 pesos for a Hendricks and Soda where normal price was 110 pesos. Even the beach club down the street only charged 210 pesos. Staff were kind and the resort is newer and convenient. However food and beverages are way overpriced. This doesn’t live up the the Marriott standard

Right on the beach and pet friendly.

Best location in the Gold Zone. Several restaurants, bars, retail shops, etc. just outside of the entrance. Inexpensive cabs lined up at all times. Close to bus route (taking bus is almost free). Every room is ocean front. Walk in shower with good water pressure. Fast internet, and everything in the room worked perfectly. Super comfortable bed & excellent restaurant. I will definitely stay here again!

The view is perfect. The swimming pools are nice. Access to the beach is easy. The room is spacious however some issues with bathroom ventilation, shower drain, and door access. Due to a band playing on the beach from time to time, the noise level could be high.

Very disappointed in this Marriott. We had to continually ask for basics like toilet paper, hair blower, more than two towels

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff!

I am going to split my review into two sections (good and bad): Good: 1. Location. Within walking distance to lots of good restaurants and bars. 2. Pool swim up bar staff were excellent. Special shout out to Jesus. 3. Room and beds were very comfortable. Bad: 1. They constantly ran out of pool towels and the towels were small and of very poor quality. 2. Too many people coming into the hotel on day passes and talking all the sun loungers etc. 3. The towels in the rooms were restricted to 2 (one per person). Despite repeated requests we were told "NO". 4. The hotel is rated at 4 stars, but I would probably give it 2.5 at best. 5. The price for drinks and food were very expensive compared to other hotels that I have stayed at in the same area. 6. Bell boy was very slow bringing our luggage to our room after check in. (we waited almost an hour!) 7. If you are looking for a hotel with a more Mexican atmosphere, this hotel is not for you. I named it the "Plastic Palace" ! Would I stay there again? Not likely. There are far better hotels in the locality

This property was extremely noisy. It would be fine if you could escape the banda music groups for at least some of the time, but the rooms have little sound proofing. There were never enough pool chairs and the pool water was always cloudy. Food and drinks were quite expensive for the quality. Booked two months in advance with request for connected rooms on a high floor. Showed up and there were no connected rooms and the lowest floor only. No apology or useful solution available from unhelpful desk. On the positive side, the view is to die for, the beds are comfortable, we felt very safe, and the location is close to most of what you need. In short, this is a 3.5 star party/wedding hotel trying to be something it isn't.

Not for me!

I expected more for my $250 a night hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. However the hotel seemed run down, stale air and not very impressive. The bar food menu was not great. Our room had no drinking cups, one small bottle of water, nothing to make the coffee with and was generally underwhelming. The wifi had some crazy way to sign in. And it was very poor signal. For sure old school. The pool towel people told me I didn’t need to worry about confirming I had brought them back and our short bar tab was wrong. The pool didn’t seem very clean. For the money I won’t stay again.

We loved our stay because the view from the pool and rooms is amazing. The hotel is conveniently located close to everything. Also, the service was good and the common areas decoration is modern, it doesn’t look beat up like many other hotels in Mazatlan. The only bad things are the pillows, super uncomfortable, and the mattress could be better. We enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing end of the year experience in this Marriott Property. Very conveniently located near the Malecón. Private beach with chairs and a beautiful pool overlooking at the Pacific Ocean. The service was outstanding. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Definitely worth it to pay the room with ocean view.

Great small venue

Clean, friendly, great week at beachfront resort/hotel. Pool and beach immediately at your convenience. Close to restaurants and easy to get around.

The staff and restaurant employees were very helpful and courteous. We thoroughly enjoed our stay at the Courtyard Marriott. We had a gorgeous view and an amazing time here. The pool and hotel restaurant were the highlights.

The property is situated in a very convenient and safe location. It has an amazing view and easy access to the beach. Lidia and Rudolfo at the front desk were very helpful.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach

Great location and the staff is really nice and attentive. I would definitely come back just on the quality of the staff and their politeness. I would highly recommend this location because everything is walking distance.

We’ve been to mazatlan 4 times and the previous three we stayed next door at the Holiday Inn. This property is an upgrade, although the fitness center was somewhat lacking. Loved the room, view, and proximity to the Malecon for walking. This is the Golden Zone, so it’s deemed relatively safe. Lots of Americans and Canadians. Be sure to eat breakfast down the street at Pablo’s!

Wow!!! The views from this property are heavenly! Just hanging out at the pool was very relaxing. The property was right on the beach which made for a fun walk. Restaurants were within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was delicious. This place was the best of both worlds. It was upscale, yet close to the live music. We are definitely staying here again!

Good customer service

The hotel was very good. Rooms were clean & in good condition. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was pretty good. The area is walkable - nearby restaurants and souvenir shops. You can also walk to the boardwalk & there are lots of little cars to transport you to nearby areas. We took a taxi to/from the airport. The price was the same as an Uber. The view from the rooms and common spaces is BEAUTIFUL!The pool is heated, which was amazing! But it would be small once the hotel gets full & it honestly could stand to be cleaner. Overall a super relaxing and nice stay.

We had a great time

The house cleaning staff and front desk were really nice.However , the pool staff which includes servers , bartenders were terrible. Drinks were missing flavor , and staff wasn’t accommodating. We had to always flag servers down just to order drinks or food at the pool. The pool staff almost seemed bothered to work and managers if any were hardly present. The area by the pool is nice but it definitely needs more sun umbrellas and detail. Overall , for the price it’s fine but definitely needs help in the quality of service.

Once again we choose this location for our 5 night stay, the staff at this hotel are incredible! Bar service inside was awesome Guillermo and Manny mixed up some amazing drinks! The pool service was also fantastic! Our check in was super easy thanks to Lidia and the rest of staff! I would absolutely recommend this place

Our stay here was great! The property was very clean and everyone we interacted with was super nice and attentive. The pool area had amazing views. Definitely recommend and will be booking next time we come to Mazatlán!

This property is very nice well maintenance and very accommodating. The only problem I have was that while it was hot outside it seemed the hot water in the shower never got passed the warm level.

Great option for a lot of walkable areas

I liked the property but having traveled around Mexico the service here definitely disappointed. From information about services offered at the hotel, arriving and the soap not being filled at all, and literally have a room service guy walk into my room while I was in the restroom, I probably would not visit again.

Awesome place to stay with exceptional customer service if you are in Mazatlán!

We ave been going to this hotel for four visits and am very comfortable with the service and the facility. We enjoy the beach, pool and the people. Only thing that is a little frustrating is the access to the beach after 1900 is closed but we plan for that. We highly recommend this hotel. Restaurant has great food and service as well. Enjoy.

My stay at the Marriott was excellent! Beautiful resort, views are spectacular! Our checking in was smooth thank you to Lidia and Efrain at front desk these guys are amazing! Pool staff especially the bartenders at the swim up bar made sure your drinks and food orders were to perfection! Will definitely return

Mala atención por parte de recepción, estoy cargando a mi bebé para hacer check out, ellos platicando 1 ocupado otro distrayendo al que está atendiendo a la otra persona y yo esperando, llega alguien más y como si yo no estuviera atiende a otra persona que recién va llegando; para solicitar una toalla extra te prometen atenderte y no lo hacen, pedí un caldo de pollo para mi bebé y me mandaron agua con verduras recién cortadas estaba horrible y mi bebé se andaba ahogando por las verduras tiezas, bonito el lugar pero, pésimos en servicio

Food was average, and buffet starts to late so we paid for breakfast buffet on our last night for nothing because we had to leave for airport by 8:15am. They water down mix at cappuccino machine and if you want to taste alcohol on any of your drinks you have to ask for a double which costs more. The hospitality industry has really gone downhill since Covid, but we're to blame for not demanding more. There's no way this hotel should be a 5 star hotel. The cleaning staff were great though the ladies did an amazing job with our rooms.

The hotel was beautiful with a great beach area, the staff were nice all around and accommodating. Walking distance to the Zona Dorada as well as plenty of pulmonias and other forms of transportation outside the hotel.

This Marriot was a wonderful stay and we wjll be recommending it to everyone. We had a wonderful time in Mazatlan and loved coming back to this hotel to relqx, sleep and eat. Thw staff were so fruendlyy and helpful. We opted for the breakfast included option and it was a great addition and way to start our day.

We had a great stay at the Marriott this past weekend. Definitely felt at home. A great thank you to Lidia from reception for helping us get a rental to take us to El Quelite for the day. I rate the service and stay 100.

Beautiful pool with easy access to the beach. Breakfast buffet was good with many selections and staff very friendly. Would definitely return. It’s within walking distance of several shops and restaurants.

Booked a Marriott based on prior stays and although the site was beautiful and clean the dining was terrible, took a a long time to get food wait staff disappeared for 15 mins at a time and at each meal (3) something came incorrect based on the menu description. Ie missing items.

Amazing property !

The staff was excellent they made sure we had what we needed. Their bar and restaurant was great. Our check in and check out was quick.

We were very happy with this hotel. It is well placed around plenty of shopping and restaurants. The rooms have a beautiful view of the ocean with easy access to both pools and the beach. We will definitely come back.
