Excellent accommodation for a great price

It was clean and relaxing. Enjoyed the stay.

Nothing special about the property. Checked in and went to our room and the toilet in the room would not flush unless you took the lid off of the back and pulled up the flushing device by hand. Went down to the desk, put us in a different room on the first floor, not quite the same as the one that we were originally given. Very short toilet, which makes it very hard for a 6‘3“ person to squat down on

Over night stay while traveling

My co-workers were not able to check in with the reservation number and/or confirmation number that I was given from Expedia. So therefore my reservations were not honored. I’ve chatted with Expedia until I’m blue in the face looking for a refund. As of today nothing. To top it all off my workers had to pay for another room so they could have somewhere to stay.

It was clean and the staff was very generous

Conveniently located around the famous Ross Clark Circle, near places we do business. Many stores and eateries within the vicinity. Chef Jordan makes the best breakfast for dining, with Starbucks on site. Great tasting night options for later munchies. Quiet, outdoor dining was relaxing with lots of safe parking. Would definitely recommend and revisit.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms

Our room was not clean. There was bits of paper napkins on the floor along with left over Taco Bell in the refrigerator.

Property was nice it has a applebee, mexican restaurant clise to it. The staff is friendly they let me check in early so i was happy about. Everything look clean and mopped. Overall i would stay here again. I like the fact it near a bunch of places i saw other hotels that were way worse but im glad i pick this hotel. I vey happy with my decision

Nice stay in Dothan al

Check in was great. Very helpful front desk on 6/14. Bar service was helpful but pricey. Check out attendant was terrible. He was laid back in a lobby chair and didn’t even get up to assist or ask what room or if I needed a receipt when I left the keys.

Would def come back here!

DAYCATION

Our stay was amazing. We will be staying again when we go back. The clerk was bery courteous and helpful with accommodating us. The faculties were clean. It felt welcoming. The bed was nice and comfy. They allow Bluetooth connection to the tv. I just had a very nice overall stay. No complaints

Quick overnight stay

The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of the night. It actually froze up. It was somewhere around 2:00 am. I was too exhausted to call the front desk to request a new room because my father was in the hospital, and I had just gotten a room for one night to try to get some rest. Unfortunately, due to this issue that didn’t happen. The stay was otherwise good.

A shame

This was our second stay here, and I do not think there will be a third. They are understaffed in the restaurant, and the prices are waaaaay inflated. I fear this place is slipping.

Not what it seems.....

Hotel is in need of renovations. Room are old. Bathrooms and toilets have dirty and old fixtures. My toilet seat was cracked at the hinges. No toiletries just small bars of soap. Kleenex and TP very hard. Building and staff need more attention. Elevators dirty. Lobby dark and unattractive. No free coffee or water. It could be a good place to stay if they upgrade.

Everything was perfect until it wasn’t

Everything was great except the kids running up and down the hallway past 11pm and early in the morning. I went to the desk 4 times and NOTHING WAS DONE. The parents were sitting at the bar and never said anything to the kids. They ran up the steps and down the hall on all 3 levels. I was in town for a 40th Class Reunion and selected your brand for the comfort and became very disappointed about a hour after check in. There was older guest that was there for a funeral and they voiced their complaints as well. This hotel is too expensive for me to have driven over 400 miles and could not rest.

They have done a ton of updates but the walls a so thin!!! Could hear so many noises from people next to us. Usually we don’t have this kind of experience.

Quick overnight stay

Great stay and service. We arrived late and the phones were down due to weather. They posted a personal number to be reached to open the door after midnight. Very helpful.

It was clean, great rooms, comfortable beds and great linens.

I have only two things to “complain” about: 1) very low water pressure for our showers. 2) no free coffee in the lobby and the same for breakfast! Everything is a la carte.

Hotel does not standup to the Courtyard brand

Worse night’s sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Mattress was like a sleeping on a piece of wood. When traveling to an area I am unfamiliar with, Courtyard is a safe bet, not in Dothan, Al. The hotel is dated, amenities are minimal, even coffee isn’t offered in the lobby. They have a “Starbucks” where coffee can be purchased. However, the amazingly sweet employee hasn’t been properly trained in preparing some of the specialty beverages, so we had to get a refund. I most definitely will not stay at this hotel for future visits to Dothan, nor will I recommend.

Lady at the desk was friendly and check in was quick! Lobby and room were very clean.

Disappointing

Very run down hotel. Horrible moldy/musty smell in room. Had to go buy Febreeze. Old AC unit on block wall inside room. The vent of AC was very dirty. Expected so much more from Marriott. Very disappointing.

Property was good!

Staff was nice and check in was easy. No more complimentary breakfast, so that was a bummer. All the pillows are too soft. Used 2 pillows. The bed feels soft but was a bit uncomfortable to sleep on.

Hidden truth

We found several roaches on the wall and floor. When we told the front desk the lady told me “they have gotten worse since they put down the new mulch”. Did not apologize for the inconvenience. Due to the time of night we came in, finding another hotel was impossible. Next morning we found a roach in our suitcase. Our luggage stayed outside our house until we could confirm there were no roaches in our clothes.

Nice, quiet, comfortable stay.

Considering the hotel is under renovation it's pretty quiet. But great service. Raymond at the bar made an excellent chicken Caesar salad and the wine was cold.

Awful 1 night stay.

It was an awful 1 night stay. It started out as now information on website that they were having renovations. Then the room wasnt ready when we got there after 3 pm. We only had 2 sets of towels for 3 people in a room asked for extra towels and housekeeper said they were short of towels because the construction crew was using them. The room next to me had a puppy in the room that whining all night and they told me it was a service dog. I told them no it was a puppy it was whining all night. It was unsafe because you had 1 way in and 1 way out due to the construction. The worst hotel stay of my life.

The hotel is in mid renovations and looks like an abandoned construction site from outside. The front door was closed off and the side door was left open (with no employees to watch it) workers renovating the building worked well into the night, hours after the signs said they would stop working. the same workers smoked right outside the side door which was right next to our room. the smoke smell in our room combined with the smell of mildew that was already there. The should close during renovations if this is how they renovate. I feel like I got scammed.

Under construction - no warning.

The entire property was under construction and no warning was provided. The room above had workers stop I f around in it at 6 am, while my 8 month old tried to sleep. Our patio area was full of equipment and building supplies. The construction was not well kept and I severely doubt it was being done per Marriot Standards. I’ve attached images of the patio area which was extremely unsafe. There was a piece of machinery lifted up and holding a makeshift dumpster over our patio. Extremely unsafe and not what I was promised when I booked the room. Construction is understandable, this construction was unsafe and made my stay completely unsatisfactory.

Warning

Just don’t do it! They claim that the renovations only affect the lobby and second floor. Just look at the photos.

Excellent hotel in a great location

This hotel was nice and clean and in a safe area and close to everything. We only stayed one night and didn’t get to enjoy the indoor pool or fitness room but they looked very nice. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the firm mattress but a lot of people like that.

Jennifer with Housekeeping was fantastic. Kept my room looking like the first time I walked in. Staff overall was very friendly and helpful.

Check in clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. We were just staying for one night on a driving trip. We would stay there again.

Indoor pool ice cold and 3 items on food menu

Indoor pool was NOT heated and ICE cold! Disappointed also with bistro, thought it was an actual restaurant 😕

Was there for Thanksgiving. Has stayed in this Courtyard Marriot 3 to 4 times a year since 1991.

Friendly staff. Clean facilities.

It's close to my Aunt & Uncle's house, easy to find and in a good area for food and shopping options.

Mini getaway

Our stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of towels, wash cloths, etc. Candy was very sweet and cleaned our room and replaced what we used while we went out. Jennifer was very nice and worked very quickly with taking out my trash and replacing our towels before we took a nap for an event.

The hotel was nice. The bar was nice.

Super clean

I travel to Dothan for work occasionally and will not stay anywhere else. Comfortable firm beds, staff is friendly, the indoor pool is nice, great breakfast and nice business accommodations for meetings.

This survey is too long! It was either a good stay or a bad stay. Your corporate guy who has to monitor this feedback for the higher ups is an expense that needs to be cut!

The clerk was outstanding

Overpriced and rude

Upon arrival had to wait 30 minutes before anyone would come to front desk to check in, and when the gentleman did finally come out of the back he gave the impression that I was intruding on his day. The room was passable, but was not cleaned. Had to wait another 20 minutes the next morning trying to check out before anyone would bother to come out to the desk. I actually had to walk around the front desk to the office and get someone to come up just so I could leave. Their are much better, lower priced options in Dothan that actually act like they are happy to have your business rather than that you are intruding on their day.

I chose it because it was on my way to a wedding, and I trusted the Courtyard brand. I was disappointed in the breakfast. There was only one person working, & she made coffee one cup at a time. There was no way she would have been able to prepare my breakfast order with folks lining up for coffee. After a few minutes, I just asked for my money back & went to Waffle House.

Our room smelled musty due to mold growing in air conditioner and on picture in the bathroom.

Not really walkable to anything but a couple of restaurants. Unfortunately Dothan is kind of life that. Zoning is interesting

We had 2 rooms booked and canceled one. The property canceled the wrong room and only had King bed for the other room. Canceled because they could not accommodate us with the room we needed that they canceled! Had to find different hotel that day due to this mistake by them.

Glad I don’t visit Dothan much.

My reservation wasn’t held and I was moved to A Sleep Inn. Check in was not smooth because the manager did give the rep at the hotel the complete information to cover my room costs. At check out the issue was resolved to my satisfaction. The room itself had some issues. A broken dresser drawer and a broken drain in the sink. The bathroom had a washcloth still hanging from the last guest. Yuck. I showed pictures of the broken sink and dresser to the front desk so it can be taken care of by her maintenance person.

Property was ok. They are putting in a new roof so it’s loud at times. But I’m sure a new roof is necessary so this happens and no biggy. I do however think charging for breakfast is a little much. Coffee should be available and not hard to find. I never saw any complimentary coffee. Should be that at a hotel such as Courtyard Marriott. That was disappointing. The staff was great at check in and always eager to help.

Mediocre at best.

Room smelled like socks. Bed was barely made. Could see dirt everywhere around sinks whoever cleans it just collects a paycheck and does the bare minimum

Miss Barbara at the front desk is amazing! I spoke with her before I arrived and she already knew who I was when I got here. That makes people feel very special. The breakfast was also amazing!

Convenient property

Overnight stay heading south to Florida. This was a perfect spot to stop, convenient, friendly staff, walkable. Will stay again in the future.

My stay was great. Danielle the front desk lady was and is amazing. She took great care of me at check in. The other Morning front desk clerk was also amazing. I definitely recommend this Hotel.

No breakfast or coffee?

I know that Covid has altered our stays forever. But I believe that offering some FREE coffee and some stale doughnuts should be included in every hotel stay. C'mon Man!

I like everything

The hotel was just ok. Not up to Marriot standards for sure. Shower rod pulling away from the wall & the shower needed to be recaulked. The Hair dryer didn’t work. And the sink faucet only put out tiny streams of water.

Children running and jumping upstairs. Sounded like the ceiling was going to fall in. Clerk tried to stop it but it was 3-4 hours of it.

The room was not that clean and it had an odor that would not go away. It smelled like the carpet had gotten wet and now it’s mildewed. It was just awful

The property needs a complete upgrade ASAP. Below the standard that I expect at a Marriott name in the sign. Hallways not vacuum for the 4 days of my stay and no room service. COVID issues I understand but this is well below the standards

Funeral stay

The room was clean, however the air conditioner did not work at first. I had to get it working myself because the maintenance man never showed up. The refrigerator in the room iced over and did not work. I was told the maintenance guy would come and fix it but after a lot of time had passed and no one showed up i was told they did not have a maintenance person there for that day. Service was seriously lacking. I would not stay there again
