Very fun

The breakfast area is a bit congested at busy times but the pool area was great. It was a nice hotel and would definitely stay again.

Cleanliness of room was less than expected. Had to get tp from front desk. Found change on the floor by bed so that led me to think that not vaccumed regularly.

Mediocre for comfort and cleanliness….kids liked the water slide… I appreciated the budget friendly price… worked fine for a one night stay

Not horrible but not great

Stay was ok, kinda pricey. Room had musty odor when we first arrived and room/bathroom had visible dust and dirt, especially lights and floor. Location is nice, Outback restaurant shares parking lot.

We will be back!

The stay was great! Water slide is only open certain parts of the day. Breakfast was amazing!!! We had some very noisy neighbors staying up until 2 am yelling and hitting walls. The staff was very good about talking to them and stopping the noise! We will definitely stay again!

I fly in and out of Duluth a lot. Most are late night arrivals. So I always get a room here. Clean comfy and a good breakfast.

The bedding was very messy when we walked in the room . Reteach some of your cleaning staff how to make beds nice and smooth… looks better Dusty fan in bathroom For the price these should not have to be addressed!!

Decent hotel. Breakfast was good. Hot and cold offerings. Nice variety of food. Rooms clean. Bed a bit hard but otherwise happy with stay.

Our experience was excellent until lit came to bed. The fold out couch needs a new mattress. I could feel every spring. No matter what direction I tried to sleep.

Pool area was clean and comfy. Lobby was very well kept. Breakfast was tasty with a wide variety

Hotel was okay. It’s nice & close to the airport. It was quiet & clean but it was older & the water pressure was bad. Would stay again for convenience but not my first choice of hotel.

Please clean your pools better

I have a number of picture of the room being dirty. Dog toy, pill, hair tie, water bottle, toy truck and a receipt for oct and more. on the floor. talked to the staff on Saturdays and showed her the picture and she told me to talk to the AM staff on Sunday. I did and they said i need to take my concerns to Expedia to offer a discounted. They did not offer to have anyone come a clean the room on Saturday. Pool was nice. But the room was dirty. Please let me know how we can get this addressed. Thanks

Overall pretty decent considering it was new years eve. The only thing that could have used some improvement was the lack of towels in the pool area, you def needed to bring your own towel, they did bring a small stack in but they were gone within a couple minutes.

It was just beautiful

The room looked clean but the beds (two queen size) appeared sat on.

Random people asked staff where I was staying and the staff told them. Privacy was not good due to this

Room was not clean. Pool towel was left behind bathroom door. My kids found leftover small toys in the room on the floor.

Horrifying

This is the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Our bathroom had brown splatters all over the toilet and surrounding area, a strong smell of urine, orange grout, moldy tiles, thick black dust on the vent and baseboards, stained and dirty carpet with large visible crumbs, mirror smeared with chunks. Dirty towel hanging on the hook from previous guests. The breakfast bar has pendant lighting and the pendants were coated with thick dust. Hanging right at eye level over the food! The staff was professional and friendly – the only redeeming quality. The front desk worker especially was very nice. We felt so gross staying here and will not come back. They need to seriously reevaluate their cleaning practices!

Facilities were nice, rooms were good. Breakfast wasn’t great but service was nice.

Our stay was pleasant. Unfortunately, we did the express checkout and never received an email with our receipt (which was promised).

A perfect stay! Kids LOVED the pool!

We found that the hand sanitizers placed around the building were empty. We never were able to get a cookie! Stocked out. Klrnex and toilet paper was tge thinest cheapest variety - we brought our iwn!

Room was good. Pool and slide were good. Very disappointed child that they pool was closed in the morning due to fixing of chemical balances.

The property was lovely and one particular young man who was in the pool area Dec 4th was very kind and sweet. However, the front desk staff was rude both on check in and check out, barely looked up or smiled. No one cleaned our room for the entirety of our stay. Towels were not changed and beds were not made. The pool area and breakfast were excellent!

Not happy about our stay!

Check in was 3 1/2 hours late. No manager on duty all weekend. Refrigerator froze solid all of our food with no way to turn it down. Furnace in room was stuck at 68 in the suite room with it -10 out. 2&6 yr old were cold in room. Pool was ice cold. Was in hot tube came back later and it was closed for chemical issues (greattttt, glad I was in it hour before!). Place could use a good cleaning for sure. Need more staff or something. Not sure why when rooms weren’t going to be ready and check in is at 3 and it’s 7:30 and still working on room why a manager wasn’t there dealing with guest and staff. We have stayed her for 4 years now to see the Duluth lights but I think next year it’s time to find a new place. Too bad because this place has good potential just needs better management to get it cleaned up and running a bit smoother. The staff we did deal with were very nice though.

I liked how close to everything is was but not as busy. We did try to check in around 4 and there was a line about 15 people long for check in, the one person checking people in did wonderful! I did not wait I came back to check in and was told me room wasn't ready yet, somewhat disappointing. I gave her my phone number and told her to call me when it was ready. Once we were finally able to get into our room it was a great stay. I would recommend they check the fans in the bathrooms for dust as ours was very dusty.

Staff were very kind and helpful. Property is in need of update and more thorough cleaning. Bathroom had pink mold, linens were stained. Mystery stains on walls. Overall, fine.

The room was dated, in the bathroom above the shower stall needed to be repaired, the bed was very uncomfortable (very hard mattress). For the price of the room I was expecting a better experience.

This is a great hotel for families. Has a wonderful water slide and a great small childs pool with water feature. My grandkids can't wait to go back.

Everything was great. Really liked the greeting we recieved. Checkednin at about 5pm on monday if that helps. A little cold response when we were leaving but oh well

Convenient overnight stay for shopping trip

We chose Country Inn & Suites because we can consistently get the same quality of comfort we have experienced throughout the years. This was a two day shopping trip for us in the Hermantown area of Duluth. It is close to all the stores we planned to visit. The hotel was quiet during our stay and not super busy. The room was very warm, which was nice to walk into and we just turned the heat down to our comfort level. We use the hot tub which was great and relaxing and not busy. I appreciated the towels in the pool area. Breakfast was heavy on carbs and sugars but quick for the morning. There could be a maintenance little touch up on the room - in the restroom especially. I'm always looking for cleaner carpets and this one was vacuumed but could use a good shampoo not only in the hallways, but in this room. I would stay again knowing what to expect.

We got checked in but when we got to the room it was occupied with clothes everywhere. It looked like a crime scene. Someone was in the room sleeping.

The property was ok, the bathroom in my room had a dirty towel from the previous stay hanging onbthe door when we walked in, and the used coffee pod still in the coffee maker

While I loved that I could bring my dog with me to the hotel for $30 extra the potty area for her was dirty and there were no poop bags in the holder. The outside garbage was overflowing. If a hotel is allowing dogs to stay I feel as though those are things they need to be checking.

Room was not clean. Sat on the bed and crumbs came out of the bedding. Wall was coated in dried liquid above the trashcan. The bathroom walls and door had dirty specks everywhere and could clearly use a good cleaning. Pool area was highly disappointing. Hot tub was not open at all during our stay and in the morning the entire pool area was closed until right before checkout. I don’t know if we will ever stay here again.

It is a great location and accessible to shopping and restaurants.

There was no shower curtain in the shower. The shower water sprayed over the bathroom floor and made the tiles slippery. The floor of the shower was not level and once the soap was on the shower floor mixed with the water, it was extremely slippery! I have stayed here many times and every visit was good. I am not sure what has happened to make the bathroom so dangerous.

Very helpful front desk. Great hotel

We paid over 600 for a two night stay. It was the lowest quality place I’ve ever stayed for that amount of money. We walked in an hour after check in time and was told that there was a chance our room might not be ready yet. I asked what she meant as we were there at 4:30 pm. She said they were short staffed. I turned to my husband who was standing a distance behind and asked him if he heard that and I commented to MY HUSBAND that I thought it was ridiculous seeing as how we were there well after check in time. The desk staff who wasn’t even checking us in very rudely interjected herself into my conversation which didn’t involve her and snapped “well short staffed is short staffed” and I told her it wasn’t her place to cut into my conversation with my husband. She persisted to very obviously mean mug me the remainder of my check in and when I called her out on it she persisted to be snyde (she said her name was Cynthia). The room provided was right outside the elevator, there was blood on the curtains, hadn’t been vacuumed, huge scratches along the TV stand, walls look like they’ve never been cleaned and appeared sticky and gross, the bed cover was wrinkled and I’m not sure if they even washed the blankets and pillow cases. I’ve stayed at A LOT of hotels around the state and I can confidently say this is by miles the worst I’ve been to. I’m so beyond sick of the short staffed excuse as a reason to provide poor service. Hold your staff accountable pay more for cleaners!!!

The hotel is nice and it is quiet but I was disappointed when I found out that they allow pets but only dogs. As it was too late to cancel my reservation, my poor fur babies had to stay in the car. Thankfully it was not too cold for them.

The pillows are not good. No towel racks in bathrooms. Only one hook behind the door.

Mixed bag

The hotel website emphasized the proximity to the airport and the shuttle available. However, the shuttle did not start until 8:00 AM, which made it useless if you had an early morning flight. The breakfast was great. The staff where helpful and friendly. A lot of the metal items around the pool were rusted. The bed sheet on one of the beds in our room had bloodstains.

It was clean and quiet but the bed was hard.

I will never go here, pool was shut down early only reason we picked this place, room was wither to hot or cold and a large buzy noise all night. Would like a partials credit for room

There were too many kids party's in an incredibly small pool. 40 kids from the party's so people who paid for rooms couldn't enjoy. The "pool" had a 10 person tops compasity so with that many kids there were no towels and it was mayhem. There were pennies and debris on the floor in our room. The sink was dirty with left over toothpaste so things left to be desired. The fridge was broken and blowing hot air so my leftovers were putrid when I went for them. IMO a waist of $200 and not how I wanted to spend my first trip to duluth. Very disappointed.

We have chosen to stay at this County Inn & Suites whenever we are in town for many years. This location meets our needs whet her it’s just the two of us or a gathering of our family. We all love the pool area, the morning breakfast and the comfortable and well appointed bedrooms and . Our concern with this visit was the filthy staircases. We often use the stairs vs waiting for the elevator. PLEASE CLEAN THESE AREAS!! They are used by your guests!

Strong smell

Our room had a very strong “deodorizer”smell in it. Luckily the window opened so we were able to have it wide open all night otherwise wise I’m sure I would have gotten a migraine headache. It was a little chilly but it helped with the strong smell. Otherwise everything else was fine with our stay.

Won’t stay there again

I was surprised that it wasn’t a nicer place. I’ve never by disappointed in a Comfort Inn & Suites until now. The room was dirty and there was something making a loud noise all night in the bathroom. It sounded like a motor that was trying to ramp up but couldn’t. Very annoying

Perfect location, everything was close to hotel. Nice staff, very god breakfast and clean room.

Checkin marvel

I was amazed at the woman who was at the check in desk, she had a real Karen badgering her about discounts and such while she was the only person up front and a line up for check ins, and she handled it wonderfully.
