A truly lovely hotel and sadly I was rather unwell whilst I was there. I was VERY grateful that I was granted a later check out time which was very kind and gave me a little longer to rest before my long journey back to Scotland. Eduardo at concierge looked after me extremely well and my friends the Clarksons who were also in the hotel at the same time. We appreciated his valuable service. All in all this is a FANTASTIC hotel and it was delightful experience despite my illness.
The historical value of this facility made our stay even better. The staff was on point and all services were excellent.
It’s ok!
Always surpassing my expectations
Hotel was a fine dining and accommodation experience! Staff and service grear
Beautiful hotel, very high end. Exceptional room with view.
Very good experience for our first time in Lima.
The property is beautiful and staff impeccable. We’d stay again
Staff is very respectful and friendly!
A group of sixth was traveling, and they were waiting for us as soon as we arrived. Check-in was very easy. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The rooms were spacious, and clean. Very convenient to getting around to Miraflores, and back to the airport as well. Highly recommend.
A beautiful hotel, an oasis in the middle of frantic Lima! Quick and easy check in, and the Legacy Garden suite I had booked was a great size, clean and nicely furnished. The patio area wasnt quiet as it backed on to a sports pitch, but it was a nice safe outside place to sit without vehicles or other people bothering you. I ate in the little bakery area a few times, which had nice simple food, and the hotel buffet breakfast was of good quality. The hotel arranged my airport transfers with zero fuss.
Hotel was a little tired Food was only average
Great way to spend or last days in Lima. First class hotel with first class customer service. dining was fantastic as is the Bar Inglese ! Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside is we were not able to play golf. I tried contacting the hotel via email a couple weeks before our stay but did not receive a reply. If you want to play golf a 24 hour notice is required and hotlel guests cannot play on Sal/Sun. Overall an excellent stay !
The staff at the hotel was excellent. The hotel was well maintained and had charm.
it’s great
I have been there several years ago. The quality of care remains excellent
Staff was wonderful.
First of all Nelson and Eduardo and everyone else from the concierge desk were amazing! I was celebrating my ladies birthday and they set up the room for our arrival and was able to procure champagne that was very difficult to find. I plan on staying there again the next time I find myself in Lima again.
An Incredible Stay
This was an amazing stay! Extremely comfortable with amazing service. The staff here was always eager to assist, please, and offer any suggestions to help us make our stay even better. We used room service, which was exceptional and the laundry service, which was also exceptional. The room was spacious and very quiet and the shower was hot with a lot a pressure. The location of the hotel was minutes drive away from all attractions. I would absolutely recommend staying here.
Customer service was provided in an efficient way each time, everyone was very respectful and professional. I would definitely go back again.
Attentive staff, great concierge, excellent buffet breakfast.
Nice place
Enjoyed my stay.
Generally OK. Staff were not particularly friendly or service oriented.
It’s nice and classic architecture property. But the no views from the room..
The hotel is good, maybe a bit run out and may need a little touch of love but good overall. Rooms are big and spacious, comfortable beds, really nice stuff and there is a restaurant (food is ok, breakfast is great). I am not sure if it the best hood to stay in Lima and you will need taxis to get around.
The staffs don’t speak English well so makes it hard to order room service and such.
Beautiful place. Terrible WiFi. A bit pricey. Some machinery constantly making low level noise. Friendly staff.
It's more like an uptight place than a family friendly hotel. The property is nice and the location is safe .in hotel amenities are at par for a 5 star hotel.Overall feel if the place is nice, but less smiling n friendly staff than I expected for a luxury 5 star hotel. The quality n service at the breakfast was not good at all. Our room has a mild musty odor when AC was turned on, but after opening the windows n running the air for a bit, it was okay. Liked the shower n bathroom. We had stayed at one of their properties ' one aldwych ' in London and this is nothing compared to that when it comes to services n staff friendliness.
Beautiful place.i loved it., hermoso lugar
What a wonderful experience. Service, food, accommodations all 5 star. I'm sure this the hotel that sets the standard for high class in Lima (or anywhere else in the world). Our large room with balcony was very large and classy. The restaurant (dinner and breakfast) combined the world class food and service concept that Peru offers. THE PERFECT HOTEL!
The hotel offered us a room upgrade on the 2nd day.
The breakfast was not good at all. The carpet in the room was sticky. The hotel’s restaurant was supposed to be very good, but it was not. The concierges where very helpful and friendly
Best
One of the best hotels without question.
Not Too Faded Elegance
We stayed four days at this hotel, split either end of some days spent in Cusco and Machu Picchu. This is a fine hotel to relax in after days spent in the definitely not-so-relaxing city of Lima. It was once the most elegant hotel in Lima, but sadly over the years, it has clearly sold off most of the grounds to other hotels, so it no longer has the beautiful gardens we were half-expecting. However, it has retained a relaxed air of sophistication and luxury that just seems natural to the place. Our highlights were the restaurant which spills out on to an airy terrace, the rooms which are palatial, and the English Bar which does indeed serve up the finest pisco sours that I have ever tasted.
Staff makes you feel like home .
Magnificent
It was great atmosphere, excellent accommodations, and best place in Lima.
The hotel has unbelievable staff members. Easy to talk to and very friendly. Excellent room service.
The property is very safe, clean, very good foot and staff is very friendly. We enjoy our stay in Lima, Peru.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. Not much in this area of Lima Fyi.
Nice stay at “el Country hotel “
We loved the room , the location is great. We went just before Christmas so they have a beautiful tree in the lobby . Lourdes, Jonathan and Jesus were very helpful at the front desk. Also we enjoyed the breakfast and lunch at the Perroquet , nice service especially from Alexander and Nestor . We had a great massage at the spa , Belinda and Margarita were great there.
A lovely hotel in Lima. They gave me a fabulous room upgrade to a suite, which was great. Room was huge with a wonderful bathroom. Supper in the restaurant was very nice. All staff were very attentive, helpful and lovely and really made an effort to help. My only disappointment was the size of the swimming pool - it’s tiny with limited seating options.
Marquee property in Lima. Elegance galore, excellent service and attention. Iconic and unique venue, incredibly well kept, attentive to details and very enjoyable.
Great hotel
The property is lovely and in a good location. If I received any VIP upgrades I was not aware. I needed to travel home one day earlier and they would not refund the $ even though I gave them 5 days notice. There were also ongoing issues with erroneous charges fir the mini bar and room service. When booking adds solo traveler I was not able to purchase breakfast for one - had to pay for 2 breakfasts but staff made a fuss when I invited a second guest to breakfast. I am surprised that this considered one of the lading hotels in the world.
Great stay
As always the stay was great. Only comment is free bottles of water in bathroom has a strange sign that you will be charged if you take the bottle with you. So basically the content is free. You really have to reed carefully to deduct this!
Great property with an old class feeling to it.
Old world charm and hospitality A very elegant property with outstanding professionalism from all staff members
Amazing
This hotel claims to be the best hotel in Lima. Far from it.
What a fantastic experience! One of the city’s best hotels; outstanding food!
Great colonial hotel in a wonderful neighborhood
D best hotel in lima
Gran Hotel, excelentes instalaciones en una gran ubicacion. El servicio es extraordinario!!
excellet
Wonderful hotel in the best area of Lima
Hotel is in safest neighborhood in lima. Great beakfast great dinner great concierages.
Exceptional hotel, great stay
Beautiful hotel. Amazing service. Delicious buffet breakfast included. Helpful concierge. I’d definitely stay here again.
A nice place to spoil your partner
Great service in a classic hotel
I arrived and was upgraded to a suite but it was in front of the hotel, near the restaurant and bar. A band was also on the Lawn. The space was nice, large and clean - but smelled moldy. The hotel is charming bc of its age but that’s also what was the down side. The food was ok for hotel food but food in Lima is spectacular, so this fell flat. I absolutely loved the white glove service of everyone who worked there - they were really fantastic and memorable.
Everything was great : the faculty, the location and the staffexcept we asked for more expresso capsules ( only 2 in the room although we had paid for 3 guests)and we were told we would have to pay for the extra capsule. Eventually, they called back to say they would bring the extra capsule for free. No breakfast included in the price of the room.
A Classic
The hotel is spectacular and the service is first class. The room was spacious. The included breakfast was fantastic. The groups are very attractive. We did have a bit of a disappointment that on two afternoons there was no hot wet available which is incredibly disappointing at a hotel of this caliber.
The place is a little bit dated and it needs a better humidifier system, our first room smelled musty so we asked to change it and they did it. Very friendly staff all around the hotel but Management needs to get involved in some renovations. For how much they charge for the rooms, we were expecting rooms and installations in better shape. The locations is unbeatable and the charming and Lima traditional style is there; it’s a piece of jewelry needed to be polish.
Still the very best in Lima!
I love coming back to this hotel, as it is completely charming so much History, but the thing that really makes it are the wonderful staff who quite simply cannot do enough for you. Thank you very much to everyone and 10 out of 10 as always to you all! Special, thanks to the team on front desk. We were so helpful with our late check out, and Jairo the concierge, who was unbelievably helpful.
The best hotel in the city of lima.
Excellent arrangement of dynamic excursions by concierge staff. Reception staff and restaurant experience excellent.
Disappointing. A classic but tired hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, although pictures in Expedia do not represent them adequately. Had to complain to get the room shown on the site. The worst thing though is the fact that ackward things happen in the english bar, with the knowledge of staff. Definitely not a family hotel. Breakfast is also quite messy and disappointing. After having stayed in several five-star hotels in Lima, would definitely not recommend this one.
5 star
Perfect!!! 5 star!
Beautiful place
The property was lovely and the staff very attentive. My only disappointment was that when I booked with Expedia I was suppose To receive breakfast with my booking and that wasn’t on my account
The staff is very friendly and very respectful. Not something you see everyday out there
The service was very pleasant and Yasuo Yoshioka at reception did a great job.
Excelente estadia
The hotel is gorgeous, our suite was really upscale and spacious and the service is AMAZING. The only problem is it's situated right next to a sports club in which they have zumba classes almost every morning and kids yelling almost every afternoon... Pick a room in the other side of the hotel and you'll be great. Also, the Internet connection is touch-and-go. Don't plan on giving any online speeches while in the hotel.
Excellent experience
Excellent ambiance, friendly staff, great room.
We had an amazing time at this hotel. My husband and I stayed for a couple of days, and we enjoyed every minute of it. We highly recommend it!
Lovely clean.hotel
Good food! The hotel is classic and decoration is beautiful. The elevator looked old , needs renovation
Beautiful and cozy. Elegant and clean, wondwrful atte tiond and friendly staff. We'll be back for sure.
Everything was fantastic and great. Excellent top tier service food cleanliness attention to detail. The gym was great and everything was top notch.
me gusto el diseno de hotel , la amabilidad de el personal el sr alberto nos llevo a la habitacion nuestros pedidos, el sonido de las cotorras es muy agradable
Excelente front desk service
Great property. Excellent staff
Great property and great service, needs to improve amenities.
Great Hotel and superb service. Highly recommended
Always an iconic hotel at Lima. The service and food are great
Good all good
This was my first trip to Lima and this was a wonderful hotel; old time style yet very clean and has all the amenities. the rooms are very very spacious. you can walk everywhere from here. I would definitely stay here again. And the staff is wonderful and extra helpful. After checkin, it was like everyone knew my name wherever I walked. Lovely place. memorable.
Will stay again on next visit to Lima
Pleasant stay
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful welcome, comfortable room. Decent gym and pool. Restaurant was pleasant. Wonderful staff
Found it very difficult to coordinate transport with concierge prior to our trip. Phone communication and even emails were not tended on time. At the end everything worked well but we felt rather anxious. Hotel is wonderful our favorite in Lima.
This is a beautiful property, oozing historic details and lovely decorative touches, antiques and art. Big open spaces to rest in, lovely terrace and the rooms and bathrooms are quite large, well laid out, comfortable, especially if you are lucky enough not to end up in the subterranean category. There is a damp mold smell that prevails, but is masked well. Rooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. It would be a 10 in every way, but all the above is half the experience at a hotel. The staff at the hotel is very much a hit or miss, and the miss part is really a massive MISS for this category of hotel. Some staff are great, very helpful. Others are clueless, careless. For example, we were literally told not to go the main square in Lima, or any of the major attractions in that area, adamantly- with ridiculous tales of terror. There is a general old world BIAS which prevades attitudes for some of the staff in how they treat select guests. It would be amusing if it wasn't so ridiculous in this day and age, not to mention inexcusable for a Leading Hotels property. Breakfast service is an utter (and rude) disaster.
Good
Nice exterior but the rooms are average, super thin walls I can hear people walking and talking all day. I’m surprised that the receptionists don’t speak that much English. We asked the hotel to arrange a covid test for us, they told us to go to the lab on our own if we want the results faster. We met friends who stayed at another hotel nearby and they had no issue with getting the hotels to help them arrange the test and got the results came back quickly. I don’t think this is a 5 star property. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The hotel is in a good area and close to restaurants and a beautiful pedestrian path along the coast. It is an older hotel but well maintained. The pool is small and was unfortunately not heated. The food in the restaurant was good, especially the breakfast but the service was spotty. We also felt that the registration personnel was not very friendly, contrary to the concierge
Spacious Rooms
We spent a night here before flying back to the US. The hotel is beautiful but the area around the hotel and the view from your room is less attractive. Great restaurant onsite. Very comfortable and spacious rooms.

Was hoping for better
Don’t think I would choose this hotel again. It’s definitely a bit dated, which I expected- but I found the service surprisingly lacking- especially at the front desk. Lobby is pretty and our room was large- but the living room was very odd with tons of stairs and a sad vibe.
