Adequate but not excellent

The location is good. It is a short walk (via a set of stairs) to the waterfront area. The parking was available but challenging. The person who checked us in didnt tell us about the common kitchen or the wifi code.

The room was a large studio with kitchen and eating area. A great location across from the main gardens and minutes to centre of town.

Loved our stay here. Great location for everything. Free parking, nice, helpful staff and lovely sunny room overlooking the gardens. Loved the balcony. The only small negative is the tv is small for the size of the room but don’t let that put you off. Will definitely book again when come back next year.

Great option for a multi-day stay

Only did a one day stop but this would be a great base for a longer trip to Queenstown. Friendly staff, large room, very clean and good condition. Easy walking distance to all of the downtown nightlife but slightly removed on the other side of a small park, so no noise issues.

Nice lodge, decent size room with great balcony in a fantastic situ opposite the gardens.

Loved our stay at this location and in Queenstown! Location had easy access to downtown. Loved the separate living area from bedroom. It was large and great for us to organize our group. Separate laundry room was a plus!

We were relocated to this lodge by hotel.com after our booking to our original accommodation was dishonoured by the hotel. We were given a room on the ground floor. When we checked into the room in the morning, all the windows were opened and a fan was blowing at full speed. We had to go out so we closed the windiws and turned off the fan and locked the room when we left. When we returned to the room in the evening, the room had an overpowering smell like gas or disinfectant. We called the hotel contact person listed in the hotel directory who was reluctant to help us. We eventually got through to the manager who acknowledged the issue and explained they had done some renovation with new flooring and thought that the problem had been resolved. She acknowledged that we can't stay in the room if the smell is overwhelming and it would be a health and safety risk. She offered us alternative accommodation in another area of town to stay the night which we took.

We booked the one room apartment and was pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. It was an unservuced apartment and we only found out when we occpied the room but we were ok with rhat bcos we Were only staying one night. We liked: The heated bathroom floor. Warm with heaters ans hear pump in main lounge Comfortable bed. Tv in the lounge and bedroom. We thought it would work better : If there were more than one mirror. The only mirror is in the bathroom and is only a half length one. We were on the second floor and there was only stairs to navigate up with our luggage.

The one-bedroom top floor apartment was spacious with kitchen to self-cater and a separate laundry with washer, dryer and separate toilet. Main bedroom with ensuite and two wardrobes. Two balconies with views towards the lake and west to the mountains. Good heating with hotwater radiators and heat pump in living room. Best location - minutes away from central Queenstown, steamer wharf, and central dining options. Off the main road so no noticeable road nosie. Appliances dated, apart from new refridgerator and heat pump, but functional. Was likely the apartment for the owner. Staff very helpful and courteous. We were very comfortable for our 6-day stay.

Everything we needed and a nice bed to sleep on. Parking on site and town center is a minute's walk away.

Satisfactory Accommodation

Accommodation was satisfactory, the lack of guest kitchen facility usage was a bit of a draw back as well as the room not being serviced daily. The kitchen not being open early enough for guest use early enough could be adjusted, prodominetly for guest who may need to work somewhere other than their room.

Very spacious one bed apartment with everything you will need, nice views. Easy walk into Queenstown. Great value for money.

Convenient, clean and easy

Our experience from check-in to check-out was outstanding. Jasmine was very welcoming. All staff was very helpful and the rooms were extremely clean. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A great place to stay and close to Queenstown mall. Staff friendly and helpful.

We received a warm welcome. Our room was clean, filled with natural light, and very comfortable. We appreciated the guest laundry facilities as well as the close proximity to town.

Easy walking to downtown.

Conveniently located to downtown shopping. We were able to park the car in the hotel garage and walk everywhere. Our room was large with a nice view. The hotel is older, but charming.

Pleasant stay

Pleasant simple spacious room in a straightforward hotel. Clean and well-furbished; underfloor heating in the bathroom (yay!); all the usual facilities. Right next to the lovely Queenstown Gardens. Recommended.

Great location, adjacent to Queenstown garden and a 5 minute walk to the CBD and lakefront. Staff are friendly and helpful. We booked the suite, which is a lot more than we’d usually spend but we got a lot more too. It was huge, with a very large bedroom with ensuite, a big lounge and dining area, a proper kitchen and private laundry with second toilet. Perfect for having comfortable evenings with travelling friends.

Stayed for three nights at the end of our trip. Perfect location to walk into town for restaurants and bars and tours. If hills and stairs are a problem then this spacious apartment might not be for you. Everything you need for preparing a simple meal or storing a few purchases from your travels. A simple taxi ride from town to the airport. Very helpful with bag storage if your flight is after checkout

Minutes away from the Queenstown Garden by walk and to the town centre. Also close to bus stop. Really friendly and helpful staff. Clean and cozy.

The best place to stay in Queenstown. Quiet, close to the restaurants and beautiful gardens. The kitchenettes are well set. Best of all the beds are super comfy and cosy with feather toppers and feather duvets.

Great place close to town

The studio room was large and spacious. It was warm and comfortable and had a great view of the mountains. It was close to town so we could walk in for dinner etc. and the on site parking was very much appreciated. King size bed was perfect for a 4 night stay. We were very happy with our stay here.

Comfortable and friendly

A great location on the lake and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The staff were super friendly and helpful with good advice on the area. We would definitely stay again when in the area.

Great location

No issues. Easy check in. Clean and comfortable room. Very walkable and close to town centre. No breakfast provided but they have a room where you can cook and eat your own. Only 6 covered parking bays otherwise have to park on Park St. Try and come early to get a covered spot.

Older property, well maintained. Although no restaurant, the dinning room can be used to prepare or reheat food. There is a grocery store within walking distance along with many places to get a meal. Nice walking path next to hotel that leads to center of town.

Perfect spot

We are so happy we picked Coronation Lodge to end our 3 week trip to New Zealand. Will definitely stay here again! It’s close to the CBD area but an easy walk to a much quieter part of town, which we loved.

A very pleasant surprise, whilst this is an older property it was very clean and immaculately presented. Very easy walk into downtown Queenstown.

Great location for central city activities

Nice place, quiet and warm with underfloor heating in the bathroom lots of Sky channels, only a few car parks so would advise to get in early and leave it there.

It was a good clean basic room.

This place is perfect. The location is amazing with only a couple of minute walk down into the centre of town. The rooms are beautifully finished in natural wood and the whole place has a warm inviting feel about it. Awesome value for money. Seriously when I go back to Queenstown I won't be looking for anything else because this place was perfect.
