Wifi is terrible but otherwise hotel is good

Was not able to change reservation date. Hotel denied my request. Staid for 10 nights. Water was provided only 2 times as I was using do not disturb sign. During check out was charged for 2 bottle water from the bar. Was weird. I could ask water every day but did not.

Everything was fine

Everything was fine and the staff attentive to my needs.

The hotel is clean, and I had a beautiful view from my room. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. However, the restaurant staff was not pleasant and rude. I would stay at the hotel again, but I would go to another restaurant.

Always good to stay here. Staff are very professional and friendly. Food is good. Great breakfast. Good choice for lunch and evening meal. Close to the tourist area if you want to go out for meals. I'm on business so I'm not always bothered about eating out. Beach is right in front down a lot of stairs, so maybe not good for older people. Overall great modern hotel at reasonable price. Good gym also.

It's the fourth time when I and my wife stay at this hotel and we'll stay here whenever we come to see the Black Sea's shore. Extremely friendly and polite personnel. Lication is great and nice and clean. Seems newly renovated. A few minutes walk to the beach and to the old town.Breakfast is decent. I will come back.

Great location within walking distance of the Black Sea beaches. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Food was great. Super view of the Black Sea from the balcony. Parking is difficult but this is everywhere in the cities of Romania, so you make it work.

Excellent location! Good breakfast buffet. I wanted to take a good look at the ruins of the amphitheater of Tomis, which are located in the basement of the hotel. Unfortunately, the windows were very, very dirty, I suggest that they should be cleaned.

We have the sea view room with Balcony on the fifth floor. The view is beautiful. Hotel location is excellent. It is easy to the old town, beach and public transportation.

Dependably good

Continental Forum hotels, like this one in Constanta, never disappoint as they are generously-spaced properties, with a consistent standard of friendly service and good breakfast. I enjoyed the spacious room, with tea/coffee (J. Meinl), stocked minibar, free bottled water, individual toiletries aplenty, and very important: many plugs. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked and was manually programable. Their breakfasts are dependable with something savory (sandwich ingredients and ommelette / sausage), something sweet (pastries, cereal) and something fruity (fresh and compote) in plentiful quantities in a very sunny hall. Overall I expected a cozy, friendly and easy stay with everything provided and got exactly that!

I do not like leaving bad reviews but this property was exceptionally unpleasant. The air conditioning did not work in my room at all. The rooms look like they were last updated in the 1990’s and the shower smelled like an open pit toilet. The silver lining was the the staff at hotel I interacted with. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted you to have a good experience. Based on the amazing location, if the owners updated the hotel to modern standards, this could be a 4 even a 5 star hotel. In its current state I would say this is 2.5 star hotel.

This hotel is located right in front of the Black Sea and we had a marvelous view from our room. The breakfast was very nice and the employees competent and friendly. The centre is just around the corner and you also can walk easily to the supermarket

Not a 4*s but I didn't pay the price for a 4* hotel anyway, so all good. This is a decent 3* that I recommend. Basic room in a decent location, just above the beach. Excellent basic amenities in room (safe, a/c, tv, alarm clock etc). The price is right (for a 3*s hotel)

Hotel redone on an already aging hotel . in my suite a horrible smell everywhere from a room not maintained and decorated without any taste . hotel management of an old time .

Good value

Advertise on-site parking but they don’t have enough spots. Had to park on the street. Hotel is looking a little run down, but, price is very good for what you get.

Short but nice trip to Constanta

We enjoyed our stay, and even if the place is not a real 4 star hotel, the staff was really great, all the people we’ve interact with were really helpful. Also, the food was good, and we had breakfast but also lunch in there. We had a lot of options for food for kids as well, so all in all a pleasant experience.

Very nice stay at the seaside.

- Everything was nice like it always is. - Staff this time was very distracted. - The bar is opened 24h which is a big plus and they also server sandwiches 24h.

Close to the old town area and great views over the water

I didn’t like how this place advertises a fitness center as an amenity and then there is a separate charge for it because it is not owned by the hotel. First time this has happened with a hotel on Orbitz.

An average hotel overpriced

Feels a bit like a motel 6. Room is ok—no outlets next to bed, shower not really clean, bath towels threadbare, no toiletries like shampoo-just body soap in shower. The room had space and had a lovely view of Black Sea. Woman who checked us in was nice but we had to wait for some time as they was only one person at reception. One elevator was not working The area surrounding hotel was not that great.

Location location location close to Otopeni Airport roughly 10 min with out traffic , The Hotel has two restaurants one with international cousine and the second one with more traditional romanian dishes i wish i knew about the second one . Shuttle to Airport runs every hour sharp

Hotel near to tourist attractions in Old Constanta

Hotel is in a good location. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach, many dining options, Ovid Square and several historical sites. Hotel looks like it has been recently remodeled, however there were a few rough edges on the room - mainly one spot on the baseboard and on the bathroom door, but nothing that affected our enjoyment of the room . Room had a fridge and hair dryer. Cleanliness and customer service were both good. Overall we had a nice view of the Black Sea from our room for a good price.

Great value for money

This is a very good hotel located very close to Constanta beach and the old town. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in in the area, this is hard to beat. All staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean and modern. It follows the Ibis trend of quality well. The shower was the best I’d had in a while in Romania although it did change temperature quite drastically sometimes but nowhere near as often as the other hotels. If you don’t know Constanta then note that this hotel is not in the Mamaia resort town (which is much further up along the coast). You would want to stay in this hotel if you want a decent, friendly, modern, clean place to stay that is close to the beach, old town, bars and restaurants, and is well connected to the rest of Constanta. There is an Avis rental car desk in the foyer and there’s also a restaurant that had a menu to cater for all. There are other facilities that I didn’t have time to explore. For the price, I cannot complain - the value for money is excellent, so overall I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

Would highly recommend!

Exceptionall helpful and friendly staff. Room was spotless with a comfortable bed. More than adequate breakfast, plenty of choice. Close to the beach and also local restaurants.

Modern Hotel close to the Centre Excellent Staff

My third stay at the hotel and always been an excellent experience

Staff were very helpful and considerate regardless of what time of day or night it was. Bed was comfortable even though it was on a platform vice box-spring or equivalent. Hotel has convenient resteraunt and is close to many others for variety of choices.

Only negative aspect was that the air conditioning didn't work. Very disappointing!

It's an Ibis you know what you're getting. Bar and restaurant nice. Reception could be a little more welcoming. Room ok. Constanta is a bit drab though.

No Problems

The staff was freindly easily understood the needsof myselt and my traveling companion. We got the room we asked for and the hotel was quiet enough to sleep easily in, even thouhg there was a nightclub and a large crowd in the town for holiday. All amenites were provided, and kept up to a good standard, although the glasses were not as clean as I would have hoped. The fridge and safe were all like any 'four' star hotel, which was a nice surprise, and possibly even cleaner. Beds were very comfortable. Linens were clean in the bath as well. Wi-fi worked great, and no problems with ant of the rooms features.

Good return for your buck!

Well there is always enough rolm to complain, bit from the perspective of a world traveler, and former Hilton Hotels Manager in North America, definitely a good return on investment. 32$/night in low season with no breakfast included, which is 8 lei or about 4$. A decent price for the amenities and cleanliness, situated in the old part of Constanta and close to many amenities. one couldn't get such deal in quite a few other cities (Seattle, New York, Miami, Milano, Marseille, Frankfurt/Main). Nice stuff, helpful, good breakfast, english speaking, right above the downtown beach. I would definitely consider if ever will come back.

Great hotel for a short break

Was initially given the wrong room, but that was quickly and efficiently sorted. Staff are friendly and helpful, hotel overlooks the beach and is near the old centre that has lots of bars, cafes and nice restaurants.

Business trip to Constanta

Ideal location for a business trip. Also close to beach if on holiday. Staff helpful and friendly.

Overall this hotel is a place to hang your hat and sleep. The balcony needed repair of the tiling. Accommodations were acceptable; nothing special. I would skip the hotel restaurant and walk up the street to old city Constanta for a true Romanian meal

Wonderful location, above the main beach from Constanta, very close to Tomis Touristic Harbor and old center of Constanta . A lot of restaurants around, very close .

Very bad customer services the safe box was broken and they never change the cover bed For next day and it was bad smell in the hotel and the bathroom not working good I suggest to find any hotel near Mamaya beach in the north side

Good choice for seaside vacation and town visit

This is an excellent choice if you come for the beach in Constanta, which is within a short walk from the hotel. Ask for a room with sea view. City center and main landmarks such as the Grande Mosque or the Archeology Museum are also within acceptable walking distance. However for the summer resort of Mamaia one must use public transportation. The staff is very friendly and tries to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The AC was broken in the room that I was assigned initially but the front desk staff was very prompt in moving me to a different room once they realized maintenance does not have a quick fix for the AC. Beds are not extremely comfortable but are acceptable. Carpet is old and one can notice stains on it, but it was clean. Breakfast is available for an extra charge, but cheaper options can be found in the commercial city center close by. Overall, I recommend this hotel for people who want to enjoy both a seaside vacation and visit an old town rich with history dating back to the ancient Greek colonies on the Black Sea.

Pleasant enough

The Ibis Hotel was located a few minutes walk away from local bars and restaurants and overlooks the main beach in Constanta.. I booked an executive room which are larger than the standard room with free wifi in the room but no Robes or complementary toiletries in the bathroom other than soap dispensers attached to the wall. For Dinner the restaurant served a limited range of dishes a stay of more than a week would have easily seen every dish sampled but my meal was very good and excellent value compared to most places but on the expensive side compared to normal Romanian prices. The buffet breakfast which is normally included in the room rate was mediocre although all the options were covered. The Hotel bar is also more expensive that others within a hundred metres or so and lacks any atmosphere.

Came to visit friends who live nearby. The Ibis' price/value combination is unbeatable in Constanta. The rooms are great. The staff are personable and helpful. You are literally minutes away from most points of interest in Constanta and Mamaia

Nice, friendly hotel in central Constanta

This is a good value hotel in a nice, central location next to the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful, even allowing me to check in earlier than advertised.

Very pleasant Hotel

A temporary problem is the amount of Road Improvements around the hotel but it has excellent directional signs to it on all the main roads of Constanta. the Hotel is in a very good location close to the Harbour and City centre

Comfy beds

We stayed there for 3 nights, the rooms are large and some have sea view. The rooms are clean but the carpets and bathroom are tired. A taxi in Mamaia costs 25RON.

Nice deal

The hotel is clean, generically furnished, well positioned - close to the old center - with a decent breakfast and great view from higher floors, especially at sunrise. The staff is pleasant though summarily trained. Upon my departure, I paid the bill in cash only to discover later my CC was also charged by Expedia for the entire stay (Expedia fixed it after two calls). Although I left earlier (for unrelated reasons), the hotel chose not to charge any cancellation fees. They had also changed my room promptly when I complained about the partial view. Recommended.

Terrible staff

We stayed at this hotel on a business trip. We checked in with two rooms which were pre-paid through expedia which included breakfast. The restaurant was closed at 9pm, so we sat in the lounge/bar to eat diner. The service was terrible, there were only two other tables eating when we sat down, it took 10 minutes for someone to greet us and bring us menus, the food was ok, then it took another 15 minutes to get someones attention to get our check to pay out bill. The staff did not seem interested to help any of the guests and really didn't try to accomadate any ones requests. The rooms were not too bad, they were comfortable and the wifi was ok. The main reason we would not use this hotel anymore for business travel is due to the bad customer service all around.

Modern hotel with sea view

Hotel is modern, clean and comfortable, bathroom is nice and modern. It is a solid 3-star. Rooms have view to the Black Sea. It is walking distance of Constanta center. Rooms are small but this is typical in Europe. Bed is comfortable. You will be hard pressed to do better at similar rates. Restaurant is good enough, although a little pricey for Romania, it seems to be in line with others in the area. It has good wi-fi

Its an Ibis, you know what you are getting. The only down side really was the prices in the bar and restaurant being more akin to a Ibis in France than Romania.

Walking distance to fine restaurants and beach

Economical, safe and clean hotel. Need taxi service vehicles in front of the hotel. More staff definitely required, seems I was always waiting for service at the cafe, restaurant and no or little room service provided. Recommend larger TV screen , wake up service, hot water kettle and or coffee pot in the rooms. Overall good location next to beach front and fine restaurants.

Everything ok

Location facing the Black Sea was great if you get a front room. Restaurants and ATMs nearby. Near buses to Gara and Marmaia. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast OK. It would be nice if they could have hot water for drinking easily available.

ok for the night

I have stayed at several Ibis hotels which are normally crisp and clean.....this one however is not. The hotel is tired and the location even though it has a sea view is not so great and the beach below......don't give up your trip to Hawaii for this. The staff however was helpful and very pleasant.

Booked on Hotels.com day before arrival and got a great rate on room for 2 nights. Room was clean and functional and the hotel is close to a beach and many amenities. The staff were polite and helpful, but we were surprised by the number of derelict buildings close by and the noisy inhabitants.

Empfang war top, Bedienung im Restaurant eine Frechheit und auch bei Check-out gefühlt wir letzte Klasse. Kein Danke, kein Blickkontakt kein Nachfragen nach Wünschen (Getränke, Nachspeise oder nach dem Essen vorbei kommen bzgl. Rechnung) Im Spa ist es so rutschig durch die bereitgestellten Flip-flops dass es echt gefährlich ist.

Room with a view

Geweldige locatie hoog gelegen en uitzicht op zee. Let op dat als je een GPS gebruikt om bij dit hotel te komen, dan word je de verkeerde kant opgestuurd. Zoek het adres op en stel dat als waypoint in. Kamer is groot en goed gemeubileerd. Alleen de douchekop was aan vervanging toe. Er ging meer water door de afdichtingen dan door de sproeiers.

Good reception staff same for breakfast staff and the bar staff (small interaction but a good one). the room was nice and the bed was fairly good. breakfast was tasty (the only thing I didn't like is there are no natural fruits juice only non natural juices with to much sugar on it) And my shower door has the ability of transforming your room into a pool. Besides that the hotel it's quite good and the free towels for the beach is a big time saver. Thanks for everything.
