We stayed for one night, and we were not disappointed at all. The food was AMAZING, and the staff was friendly and provided excellent service. We found this hotel at a very reasonable rate, and honestly, we weren't sure what to expect, but I will definitely stay here again. It's very close to the Ubud strip, making it easy to walk or use their shuttle service. The staff was incredibly supportive. I would highly recommend it!

The staff knew our names and introduced themselves always. So attentive and friendly and fast. An oasis of beauty in a busy town.

I had an accident at the hotel where I bumped my head on a low overhang at our Villa and lost a top front tooth. The overhang was not well lit at night, area around it did not have a warning about it, and frankly is a design flaw as the overhang is much lower than the actual door. HOWEVER, after I complained to the staff about the incident and design flaw, the staff agreed and comped me one night of stay. Moreover, the hotel allowed us a late check out to stay as long as we wanted. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff were friendly, very helpful, and knew us by name. The food is Five Star and beyond expectations. Best food we've had in Bali and our entire trip. Highly recommended!

Our best hotel experience yet! Como uma Ubud was simply fantastic. From the welcome from the ever attentive staff to our gorgeous villa. We had an incredible stay and the team helped me with a wonderful surprise to propose to my partner It’s a 30 minute walk into town making it doable but out of the way at the same time. The shuttle service is handy but it would be nice if it ran a little later The team were excellent in organising drivers for day trips and airport transfers Could not recommend more, we are looking at the wider como group now for our next trip!

Wonderful staff that is very warm and accommodating. We chose this location based on a YouTube review from the Flip Flop Traveler in which the Como Uma Ubud was given a perfect score of 100. Our experience lived up to the bar that was set in that review. We highly recommend this location for anyone traveling to Ubud.

Wonderful place to relax in nature. Terrific food services. Short drive to town

Great service by the staff but the resort is a bit dated, food was just alright and the room layout is a little strange with no separation between the toilet, wardrobe and bathtub. But it has a nice pool and overall a pretty enjoyable stay, just not sure if I will be back to this property..

Home away from home

One of our favourite Hotels in Bali. This is like a second home for us and love starting our holiday here. Everything is lovely here except the smoking allowed in a supposed health hotel. Time to enter 21st century and ban smoking.

Had a great day by the pool and also massages at the spa, which was really really good. Staff were attentive to our needs and also proactively offered to make reservations for restaurants or booking rides. In addition, the wellness aspect reflected in the menu and amenities (shower gel is fab) was omnipresent in the Como brand. Enjoyed it

Fantastic hotel with all the right details to make a memorable stay in ubud. It’s tucked away from the busy streets of ubud and the staff and property are incredible. Edy at the pool bar goes out of his way to remember every guests name and favourite drink as well as excellent recommendations on things to do. He’s attentive in the perfect way. The rice field walk in the pouring rain with Eva was a lovely way to spend Christmas morning. And the breakfast section is outstanding. We had dinner at uma cucina and the manager was so accommodating and hilarious she made our night extra special. Thanks como uma for making our vacation just perfect.

Service and tranquility exceptional. You are in a natural setting with all that entails. The chef for the Bali menu made a delicious sampling of local cuisine. Great location and shuttle to main shopping.

This truly felt like a 5 start hotel, as compared to others that are also advised as such. I wanted a villa with a view of the valley and it was very worth it! We booked the Uma pool king villa and it was a dream!!

My partner and I stayed at this hotel quite awhile ago but I hadn’t yet written a review. When I realised this, my first thought was that this hotel and its staff are absolutely deserving of a positive review as we had the best time there, so here are my thoughts! The hotel was so beautiful, clean and luxurious. The staff at the hotel were absolutely incredible and welcoming. They were so attentive that they somehow all knew our names! When we were walking around the property or at the breakfast bar or reception, we were always greeted with politeness and with a smile. I remember looking forward to breakfast every morning. The dining area is situated in nature next to a beautiful pond. The food was both buffet and a la carte with both Western options and very traditional options. In my personal view, the food was exceptional! They brought out these beautiful and tasty traditional desserts every morning which I was always eager to try. The hotel is also situated on a street with various local stores, restaurants and with easy access to the local rice farms. So if you’re looking for traditional food outside the hotel, there are plenty of great options! If we come back to Ubud for another holiday, there’s no question that we’ll be booking at Como Uma Ubud again!

We stayed here for two weeks in November. By far best hotel experience anywhere. We stayed in a Uma Villa Pool Suite. The hotel was apparently fully booked, but we barely noticed anyone around. As most rooms have private pools, the main swimming pool is quiet and the hotel feels very peaceful. Pool was cleaned daily while we were out at breakfast, and always spotless. All staff friendly and helpful and constantly trying to improve your experience. Free Shuttle taxi every couple of hours in and out of Ubud town. Free morning walks around the local area and rice fields with a guide. Very nice spa, I visited for a massage every second day and even received gifts from the staff there on my second week. As a vegetarian I had numerous options. Their Italian restaurant is voted number 1 in Ubud, and delivers room service. The restaurant is detached from the hotel, so the hotel still feels very private for guests. We did a private cooking class with the chef and learned to make pasta one afternoon. In two weeks we only had one instance of a tiny lizard in our room (we had left the door open) and within 3 minutes someone appeared from reception with something to catch it in and proceeded to double check the whole villa to ensure there were no more.

We loved our stay at the Como ubud. Everything from the staff, the service, the rooms, the pool and the complimentary yoga with Budhi!! Also the breakfast and coffee was a 10/10. Best resort I have ever stayed in. This was my third time here. I will be back again!!

From the moment we booked the staff went above and beyond to accommodate any needs we had. A welcome ginger tea was a nice touch after a long flight. The room and property are beautiful. What was especially enjoyable was the Discovery tour we arranged through Como. We saw a bit of everything Ubud has to offer and they even customized it by bringing us to a local art school!!! Beautiful boutique resort great location. We stayed in a garden villa which was very chic but as the bathroom and bedroom are separated by a open air courtyard be prepared for a few lizards/ants creepy crawlies. We kept the bedroom and bathroom door shut - but Remember you’re in a tropical country...

Our stay at Como Uma Ubud was outstanding. The room was clean and the housekeeping kept it nice our entire stay. The resort itself had all the amenities you’d could ask for in this type of hotel. Pool is very nice. The staff was super helpful and was accommodating to our requests. The food at the resort was wonderful. We ate at the hotel 3 days straight just to try everything out. The Italian restaurant there is highly recommended. Overall a very pleasant stay and made our trip to Bali all the more special. I would have no issues recommending Como Uma to others!

Service and resort views are exceptional

This place lives up to its rating. We loved the accommodations. The part that made it quality was how well their team responded promptly to any problems we had. Most of the problems were beyond the resort’s control like inconsiderate guests or the fridge suddenly stops working. The hotel addressed the issues and confirmed with us it was sorted, and then went that above and beyond; they upgraded our room from the Terrace to the Villa. This sort of service really shows one way they have amazing hospitality. Also, having experienced both the Terrace room and the Villa, I can say they’re both amazing, but if you’d like privacy and quiet, the Villa is the way to go. It overlooks a valley with a river. And there’s a private infinity pool. Also, worth mentioning that the daily yoga is on a large balcony with the view of the valley as well, which you can go and sit to do your own meditation.

This property is tucked away and up the hill from the overrun Ubud. It is a beautiful setting overlooking a gorge. I did not want to leave the property. They offer yoga and morning walks as well as many tours. They have an outside cooking class on site. The staff were extremely friendly. The restaurants and service were also great. I would highly recommend this hotel. I would come back in a heart beat

The best resort in Ubud

The staff were exceptionally thoughtful and kind. The small gestures such as food and tea in our room after a late night check in and biscuits as a thank you for staying with the hotel made everything feel very personal. The free yoga classes in the afternoon were also a real treat and we very much enjoyed participating.

Excellent food and exceptional service from the lovely staff at Como Uma Ubud. Clean rooms and comfortable temperature since the property is located in the valley. Walking distance to Ubud village. No issues at all. Would highly recommend!

Great time in Ubud

Great hotel in close proximity (by drive) to the Ubud market. Highlights included the customer service oriented staff, wonderful breakfast and spa, and amazing Italian restaurant on site.

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay, this is it. The massage was excellent.

The staff and resort were amazing. The only bad experience was the bugs but something we’d expect in this type of environment.

Beautiful property, wonderful villa, fabulous on site Italian restaurant, and resort was in a great location about 1.5 miles from central Ubud, which was great because close enough, but far enough from the huge crowds in Ubud. We did not want to leave, once there, and will definitely return when in Bali again.

great hotel for the young and fit

there were so many steps and so few hand rails. It was difficult for us to navigate around. I would not recommend for elders or even mildly handicapped.

Wow, the Como Uma Ubud was an amazing property. My wife and I were there with our daughter and my wife's parents. Just a terrific hotel. One of the nicest stays that we have ever had and we have been to many, many of the world's best hotels. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! You will love it, we sure did!

Rooms were big and clean, staff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable, resort grounds were beautiful. We booked day tours directly through the resort and those tours were way better than the other tours we booked. You get a feeling of seclusion without being too far away from the town. We'll definitely stay here again when we come back.

My husband and I stayed at Como for the first half of our honeymoon and we are so glad we did! The resort itself is gorgeous we stayed in a one bedroom villa that provided breathtaking views of the jungle, but it’s the staff that makes this place wonderful. They go above and beyond to make you feel like you are home. They pay attention to small details other places don’t like leaving umbrellas by your door in case it rains or providing water and cold towels for you because they know it gets hot. There are so many more things I could write about this place, but in the end the conclusion is this... STAY HERE! My husband and I would like to thank the staff for making our honeymoon magical and memorable. Thank you to the front desk staff for being so kind and helpful and thank you to Nova for serving us breakfast everyday with a smile. We are grateful.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful experience at the Como Uma Ubud, mainly due to the staff who were just all so nice and very accommodating. We are a little picky when it comes to hotels in a tropical environment (as city folk, we are not so comfortable with we the indoor/outdoor lifestyle) so when we found out that our shower was a bit exposed to the outside, the staff at Como Uma were more than happy to come up with a solution for us. The grounds/pool area/pool bar are beautiful and both my husband and I enjoyed relaxing massages that almost put us both to sleep. Como Uma Ubud were also super helpful with setting up taxi service to town and taxi service to the airport.

Perfect secluded hotel. See the best of Bali

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at COMO Uma and can’t recommend it enough. The location is perfect for a true Bali experience (forget the beach, see something unique!), the hotel arranged excursions and taxis for us to Freewheel down Mt. Batur/ visit a local art school, to visit the Tagalalang Ruce fields, to Tanah Lot for he sunset sea-view and we utilised the drop-off service in order to go to Monkey Forest. Our pool villa was stunning, with amazing jungle views. Staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurants were wonderful. We would also suggest the short walk to Mozaic restaurant one evening for a fabulous tasting menu in a secluded garden. All-in-all a pretty meh perfect holiday, stay here! Sadly we couldn’t visit the Yoga Platform as a ‘yoga retreat’ had been allowed to book it all day every day for a week, but we had the view from our own terrace.

Amazing hotel!

One of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was like a small apartment with a lovely porch, big king size bed and big bathroom with a nice tub and shower. The hotel staff was attentive and very friendly. They have fabulous day trips that were great and wish we had more time to do more of them. The food and drinks were great too.

We had a pool villa overlooking the rainforest and it was the most beautiful room we have ever stayed in!!! The Italian restaurant Uma cucina was also incredible ! Staff are lovely as well!

We spent a wonderful 10 days here in August 2018. Only negative was the check in process was tedious. Fantastic friendly staff, lovely food and a magnificent villa. Spent a lot of time at the pool and pool bar. Nice and close to Ubud.

Excellent experience!!!

Como Uma Ubud was the start of a 2 week vacation in Bali to unwind and get time accommodated after a 27 hour flight. Extremely friendly and spiritual people in a relaxed environment filled with art, culture and great Balinese coffee!!!

Lovely staff, but the hotel is outdated. The air conditioner in the room was noisy as were the outside compressors. It was hard to enjoy being outside due to the noise. In addition, they were doing construction on a new bar patio which added to the noise. We were given an apology letter, but I think we should have been offered at least a 10% discount on the hotel costs. We paid extra for a private pool and it was too noisy outside to be able to enjoy it. In a tropical climate, it's nice to have the option of opening windows instead of just having the air conditioner on, but there were no screens on the windows. The free shuttle to town was a nice perk.

Overcharged

The Como Uma I would expect to pay less there's nothing flash about this place it is fairly old. The pool deck breaking away there was renovation going on site there was noise from the renovation have a spa is very old and smelly the sauna wasn't up for use. If you were going to charge customers are certain price you gotta make sure that everything is working and they are getting what they pay for. The service was amazing.

Uma Como - Killed us with kindness!

We had an enjoyable stay, the room was very spacious, modern and clean and breakfast was set in a tranquil location. Staff were extremely friendly and have a good timetable of activities, local walks, yoga, cooking & a shuttle bus service. As it is not far from Ubud center we did not spend a huge amount of time here. The Italian resturant was tasty and authentic. Our only feedback was, it would have been nice to have a tour of the grounds. It is not set in open grounds, with lots of paths leading here and there. The Yoga studio was difficult to find and turned out to be a beutiful terrace which we later discovered was great to see the sunset. Thank you again to all the staff that were all exceptional and killed us with kindness! Mr Tony & Nicola
