The A/C smelled horrible. I turned on the heater to just get the chill out the air it smelled like dogs pissed all in the inside of it. The water took forever to get lukewarm.

Very Disappointed!!

Hair in the sheets, mold around the caulking of the shower, dusty lights, nasty spots in the ceiling, table was beat up and the chair next to it had stains all over it. Some things you can’t control but the room felt gross overall. The inside of the tub needed to be painted again. I’ve stayed in Comfort Inn several times but this was a terrible stay. Not to mention, we were given the keys to a room that had someone sleeping in it.

Just what I needed

The entire place reeked of cleaning chemicals. From the moment you enter you're hit in the face with this toxic smell. Cleanliness is one thing but this was hard to breathe in. Would not recommend.

Friendly and helpful staff. I know I can't expect much from a 2-star hotel. But cleanliness should be offered to everyone. My initial room had dark brown stains all over both mattresses and I discovered that there were ants as well, so I had to be moved to a new room. It was doable for a layover. But, just spend the extra 80 or so dollars for a proper hotel if you can.

A great stay for my visit

Less than expected

I booked the room because it was listed with a pool. Without notice, the pool was closed. With no reasoning. The concierge was rude. The mattresses were so old they have huge brown stains.

There were roaches in the room. People broke into cars while we were sleep. Every car window was busted. So sad. Will never stay there or that area again.

The staff was very responsive and pleasant. Other than a waffle maker with choices on batter flavor, the breakfast was ordinary, if not worse, but the price was right. Very dated room, but spacious, and housekeeping was attentive. Good value for the (low) price paid.

The elevator was out, the pool was dirt and the hot tub was cold and dirty. There was a roach in the bathroom

Property was convenient to where we needed to be, room was clean and on the first floor as we requested. Elevator was not working and aside from having to go up the stairs to the 3rd floor for ice, everything else was fine. Beds were very comfortable.

Never Again!!!

I was very unhappy with my stay at this property. When we arrived we were informed the elevator was not in service. I was traveling with my 70 year old mother and we were put on the 3rd floor. When something was said about it we were told that was the only room and we if we canceled we would still be charged. Then on Saturday morning we went down for breakfast around 8 A.M. and there was hardly anything to choose from. When asked about bringing more out we were told they were bringing it. When they brought it all the brought out was some cold sausages. Then on Sunday morning we checked out and I grabbed a bagel from the breakfast area for the road. When I started to eat it the looked and it had mold growing on it. I will never stay here again!!!

No Elevator and the Ac no Work

I went to check into 2 rooms and one smelled like smoke and the other like a we animal. I went to the front desk to change rooms and the next two rooms had hair on the beds and one had a puddle of fluid in the room outside of the bathroom. We left that night and couldn’t stay in this hotel.

The male front desk personnel, Saturday and Sunday 7am to 3pm AND 3pm to 11pm shifts were extraordinarily kind and accommodating. They greet you coming and going to instill true hospitality. Such gentlemen! I hope you guys read this and know you're the best. The female host on Monday morning was abundantly cheerful all day and served a FREE scrumptious breakfast buffet with the most delightful smile, etiquette and cherry disposition. You've got a stellar team. Treat em 👍👍👍👍👍👍

The property was very clean and check was very quick and easy very nice staff the only complaint I have is the air conditioner didn’t run cold even at the lowest temperature it was running warm. We checked in so late I didn’t bother to let the staff know but other than that everything else was great thanks will def book again if needed

Overall a nice stay

Overall it was a nice stay. We had a loud ac which disturbed sleeping. We did mentioned to the front desk, however, we had the do not disturb sign on the door. So we think they did not look at it. The unit to charge our phones did not work. We mentioned these things at check out.

Great staff, just a very mild hotel

It was a very 3-star hotel experience. I’ll give it to the staff that they did a great job. However, the towels were dirty half the time. I found a smoosh ant in one, hairs in different other ones. The bed was fairly uncomfortable and the shower’s water was very lukewarm. Also the pool was very gross. The hot tub was not hot at all and it had some kind of weird oil at the bottom. The staff was the best part, I’ll give it that.

Probably better to have water bottles in the room and the AC is work sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t since TX is hot state it was uncomfortable night something. Also for breakfast have some eggs as well.

I would not recommend it.

We had a baseball tournament in town and decided to stay here because of its proximity to the fields. The room smelled horrible and was not very clean. We asked for extra towels, and the front desk would not give us extras until we brought the used ones as an exchange. Water bugs everywhere.

Perfect costumer service and clean environment it's a nice place but just that I didn't get to use the pool because it was under maintenance during my stay

Sent feedback in another email. Hotel was sub standard, amenities were in need of updating for comfort and appearance. Furnishing were old and weathered. Towels, sheets, pillows were all outdated. Bathroom toiletries were cheap.

Not a great stay

Where to start... I will start by saying almost everyone there was very nice! I found several long black hairs all around our room, in the towels, bathtub,sheets. The carpt felt very sticky and dirty when walking on it and left our feet black. The rooms needed alot of touch ups, but that's whatever honestly. Our main reasons for the stay was breakfast and pool, which my kids were looking forward to. There was no sign saying the pool was out, so when we went to grab towels we were told it was closed and being treated for algi, it will be ready the next day. Which when I tried to call, but couldn't because our room phone didn't work, we were then told it was still being treated and out again. The second day of breakfast everything was very low and no one was there to refill and this was at 6am. We finally found a guy to ask about refilling everything and he did not seem very happy to be they or fix it all. Then not to mention to me the bed was super hard and just did not have a very comfortable stay at all. Overall, it gave us a place to stay but not a great pick for what we paid.

We stayed here while our power was out. The staff was amazing!

The room was not completely clean with dirty towels and a used soap bar and wrapper trash sitting on bathroom counter. The door did not deadbolt. The curtains were barely hanging, everything sliding to the left. We were greeted by a cockroach running across the wall in the morning. Main area were clean but definitely dated. Eggs at breakfast were disgusting. Kids were running up and down the halls late at night.

For the price, this hotel provided great value. It is an older building and rooms are a bit dated, but the staff did a lot to make this less of an issue. Nice-sized rooms, decent breakfast (although needs eggs), and available staff. Thanks for the nice experience.

Best stay ever!

This property once you walk in it smell like cigarettes and dampness. The rooms are worse. They try to cover it up with cleaning products but it makes it worse. To top it off the management Antoinette was very rude with my Wife. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Stay was good except the elevator was not working so had to carry luggage upstairs so a little inconvenient.

Thank you! The service from the front desk was prompt. The room/suite was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The elevator was still being repaired (sometimes parts come very slowly as I experienced at my work). It didn't affect us since we had only one flight of stairs to climb to our suite and we didn't have any heavy luggage. We didn't have time to use the pool but it was clean and ready to be utilized outdoors. The suite is close to a main highway and from our experience many of our destinations were 15-30min drive from there.

Safe area, clean and the rooms were very spacious, lots of counter space. Breakfast was decent, loved the Texas shaped waffles. 😊 A great place for the cost.

The elevator was BROKEN! We had to walk back and forth up 3 flights of stairs! The Lobby, Breakfast Area, Halls, and Stairwells had NO AIR CONDITION! IT WAS HOT! I received 2 door cards and 1 card was deactivated early the next morning before check out! My daughter could not get into exercise room or pool area.

Everything is good.

Our stay here was excellent! We stayed here for 3 days. Check in was easy. Front desk staff was friendly and got us anything we needed with ease. The cleaning staff was incredibly friendly and checked with us daily to see if we needed fresh sheets, towels or toiletries. Everyday when we met up with them in the halls, they said hi and smiled. Breakfast was simple, but was always available from 6-9. When we walked into our room upon arrival it was super clean, smelled nice and the AC was on so it was nice and cold! At night the curtains blocked out light and our room was quiet. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. We will be back when visiting Houston again.

We were disappointed in the room as it had a terrible smell of smoke. The desk did give us a spray to spray the room.

Comfort Suites at Clay Rd is close to night life and good restaurants. The property is clean and the staff is kind.

This property is not kept up, it’s old and dirty, mold smell, water damaged. Would not stay again.

I had to check out early because in the middle of the night there was a big roach crawling on my pillow, I was terrified and they didn’t have anymore rooms to put me in.

Our stay was decent. Room had no windows so couldn’t get any fresh air and turned the air in the room very stuffy, which was uncomfortable for me and my older son cause carpets and curtains can be challenging for us.
