Fast check-in
Very kind and efficient reception. TV wasn’t working in the room so he quickly switched us to a new room.
Friendly staff
Great staff. Poor property conditions. Worn out ,in need of a complete interior overhaul.
Grounds need sprucing up. Otherwise, very friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, and it was quiet. Would stay again (in fact, we’ve already reserved another night later this month).
Same night booking
We missed our connecting flight so had to stay in a hotel overnight before our rescheduled flight the next morning. I was able to make it for the same evening. It was very easy to book and the front desk made it a good experience.
Nice check in
Bring your valuables into your room

Good Job Gustovo!
This was an interesting stay. Once you have made your reservation they then inform you that you will have to call once you have arrived at your designated area for them to send the shuttle for you. We were unable to get through until our third attempt and then was informed that the shuttle would be on the way. 45 minutes later I called back and was told that I would receive a call back letting me know how far away the driver was. About an hour in the driver showed up. We arrived in terminal C and the instructions stated we needed to travel to terminal A or B. Well on the way back to the hotel, we stopped at Terminal C to pick up another passenger... When we arrived there was one attendant up front, Gustavo. He ended up checking in all 6 groups as well as answering the phone, multiple times, to ensure people that the shuttle was on the way and that they were waiting in the correct spot as well as checking out people who were purchasing food from the motel "store". I would like to commend Gustavo for everything that he was doing. It took 1.5 hours to get checked in from the original call, but that poor guys was doing everything but driving the shuttle.
The hotel desk clerk was very professional and helpful.
TV remote turned on the TV, but then it didn't change the channel or volume. The milk and apple juice at breakfast seemed to be watered down. The staff were nice, but this place looks like someone bought and is only doing the minimal maintenance.
Airport transport
I picked this hotel because the website said 24 hour front desk and airport transport. When I checked in the said airport transfer only runs 5am-11:30pm. They should state that!!! I had to leave for the airport at 2:30 am.
Great stay.
Beds were terrible
Nice and quiet!
Is ok
Fine for a one night stay near the airport.
The chair seat was worn out
I wasn't there very long, but the staff was nice, the room was super clean, there was a fridge in the room! The bed was comfy, and the coffee was excellent.
As a registered guest i wasn't ask if I had a vehicle and subsequently my rental was towed away. This was unprofessional and totally ahuge inconvenience.
Mmm
Good
Very nice and quiet but it needs a littler fixing and update specially the elevator it looks like it will stop working anytime soon
The hotel was run down and busted glass all in park lot
Never got picked up from airport & I called. When I finally paid for a ride to the hotel the shuttle was parked there. Cost me extra money for this supposed amenity.
Nothing impressive about the property
Understandable place is older but really had a smell in room. Get rid of carpet! Staff was very helpful and nice.
Nice
Quick check in and very pleasant and friendly staff. Quiet room with very comfortable king bed. We would definitely stay there again.
Not very clean
Awful. Roof leaks, beaten up, damp, terrible smell. Spend the extra money and don’t stay here.
There were cockroaches in the initial room they gave me and they wouldn’t give me a refund. How did I get a refund from the hotel or Expedia ?
Cheap and not so great
Lobby looked clean, staff friendly, halls and doorways were scuffed, marked and looked “beaten” up. The elevator was slow and in poor condition. The room was very musty smelling and the sheer curtain had mildew, I didn’t want to walk on the carpet with bare feet. Room looked clean but felt unclean, and couch had small stains. My husband has allergies and I was concerned about his reaction. We would not stay there again.
Nothing wrong with the stay but the wifi was very lacking on the upload side
Very dirty Room smells very bad and there was air freshener in the room so they know about it , poor customer service the pictures are nothing like the property do not stay here you will regret it. No parking anywhere property is run down and smells
Okay Stay
The staff was very friendly the lady helping us was definitely new. She was very nice and asked for help when she needed too. But I ended up getting charged twice for my stay. My son's bed had a red stain on the comforter that I found the next morning. Beds were comfortable.
I called the hotel at 10:40 am to ask about checking in at 3pm. I was then informed they didn't have power. I asked when did this happen and I was told they haven't had power for 2 days and to call the third party I booked with if I wanted a refund. (I hadn't had power for 7 days, and booked the room the night before because I thought they had power.) I contacted Expedia at 11am that same morning to request a refund. Later, I was given a partial refund and was told it was because the hotel charged me for a nights stay because I didn't show up, call or email to cancel. The fact I I did call and they told me they didn't have power and I could request a refund, didn't count as a cancellation. I guess calling the third party booking to request a refund didn't count as a cancellation either. Why would you charge me for a nights stay, if you didn't have power at the hotel? So, I wouldn't ever attempt to stay at this place again. If they didn't have power why even let me make a reservation to stay there? On top of going 7 days without power I'm also out of $102.75 that the hotel kept of my money.
Short overnight stay for early morning flight. Room was decent for price.
My parked rental was towed by the hotel next door. No one informed us that they share the parking lot and have hostile relations. Comfort Suites had me fill out a sticker which was clearly placed in the vehicle. I got no help from the staff on site. I ended up paying more to get my rental out of the impound than my actual stay at Comfort Suites. I will not use the brand's services again
We had a reservation. When we arrived, the staff would not let us check in, so we had to leave. They said that they did not have any clean rooms.
No power, no one called me or email me that the building hadn’t had electricity since Monday July 8. No sleep to how hot the room was. Check out early Saturday morning. Will not do business with Expedia anymore. I want a full refund. Will go later tomorrow and give you guys a bad review.
They suck
Poor management
Got to the hotel just to find out there was no power and could not get to our room….. all after calling and confirming the room and that I would be able to pay to park at the hotel the day before. Not even a notice or anything with no other options because everything else was fully booked up which in turn, caused us to have to stay in the airport waiting for our flight.
Canceled Room due yo no electricity in Houston
Unscrupulous
This company along with Hotels.com took reservations on this property even though they did not have electricity. When asked for a refund on my prepaid reservation, they refused the refund. I am now in contact with a legal team to take action against both companies
Wasn’t the cleanest and with the power being out over half the stay, it had a foul odor in the hall. I expected some sort of reimbursement
Found a roach in my room. Neighboring room found bedbugs. Workers were not helpful with the situation.
The AC was broken and leaking extremely bad to the point the carpet was soaked all the way to the bed. No other accommodations could be made.
Room was not up to the standards. Shuttle never turn up.
The hotel was inexpensive and close to the airport. The young woman in the breakfast area was very nice and diligent.
Dirty carpet
The staff was extremely friendly and considerate.
Property was fine with exception of cleanliness. Room had a 6” red stain on the carpet next to the bed and couch was very dirty and stained. Carpet in hallway was also filthy. Staff friendly. Great location. Comfortable bedding.
The employee at front desk was very nice and helpful.
Wasn’t very clean. Room had musky odor
Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was old, dated, and had a horrible smell. Apon enerting the room we found a pillow full of makeup stains and a torn curtain. We reported it immediately as to not be charged the $100 fee for damages. Glad it was only a one night stay. ☹️
Great rooms and very convenient to access airport. Shuttle provided.
Stayed here on a whim when I got stuck in Houston for the night after missing a connecting flight due to a delay. Hopped on the first shuttle I saw at the airport that was going to a place with decent reviews and price. The shuttle driver was a nice guy and the hotel is a short drive from the airport. The lobby was nice and clean, and the front desk staff were very kind. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious, though it smelt pretty musky. After running the AC for a while it helped a bit. Seems like maybe an underlying humidity problem. The breakfast bar was good, pretty standard hotel food. Same shuttle from the night prior runs in the morning to go back to the airport. Overall, solid place to stay for the night if you're stuck at the airport like I was. It's not too expensive and the only criticism I have is the room being a bit musky.
Quite, not so much noise in the area I stayed in.. like most of the time you can hear people walking up and down the hallway
Someone messed up
Could not check in as we notified the hotel of a late arrival. When we got to the hotel they told me we were a no show and the room was gone. Unreal. They said they could not do anything about it even after hotels.com called and spoke to the directly in front of me. So I paid for a room I did not use and I did everything correctly and they could not assist me. Wow!!!
Bed was terrible
We were requested schedule to be picked up at the airport at 10:30pm we landed at 10:18pm from 10:20 to 11:30 no hotel shuttle pick us up we saw many others hotel there but no Comfort Suite. This driver from Double Tree willing to take us for $20 but we took Uber for $11
N/A
The bed had hair on it.There were limited channel options and the bathrub was disgusting. This room was such a disappointment and it was supposed to be a suite..
There was a roach as soon as we opened the door. We went to the lobby to call other hotels and the front desk asked us what’s wrong. When we told them they just said “Oh, okay.” The rooms are dirty
This was a horrible experience. We waited over an hour for a shuttle. When the shuttle finally arrived, a bunch of people piled in while we were waiting to load our bags and the driver told us he could not fit us in. We took an Uber at that time. The room was run down. The curtains didn’t close. The mini fridge was loud, the ac was loud. What I had hoped would be a few hours rest was a total nightmare. We should have just slept in the airport.
Nice, Convenient
One day stay for flight lay-over
Great place to stay
I’m never disappointed when I stay here. I’m never bothered, the front staff is always helpful and friendly. I never have any complaints.
When I was walking to front door to check in a man was outside smoking marijuana. After I checked in I had to go back outside to place my parking pass on windshield and this same man was looking in the windows of my car. I asked him if I could help him and he asked me if I could spare a few dollars. I just got in my vehicle and left. I felt totally violated and unsafe. I checked into a different hotel. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
Good
Desayuno limitado y las condiciones del hotel en general deben mejorarse.
The place was rundown and the staff were lounging in the lobby.
So so Hotel
Everyone was very nice at the hotel. The breakfast was a to go breakfast ,which I was very disappointed. The last problem was the carpet in our room was very stained.
Everything was perfect outside of no hot water from the shower. It was hot at the tub but didn’t allow hot water to come out of shower head. Not the surprise you want at 4am. Problem was addressed with staff.
I was very disappointed with the terrible breakfast I received. Their excuse was “ the kitchen was on renovation “ but why Expedia or the hotel didn’t specify this important detail ? The worst part was receiving a bag with chips and a frozen pie that was imposible to defrost and eat . Who eats corn chips for breakfast? It was a real joke . Never again !!
Good stay at a good price
Very friendly staff and a nice hotel for a good price. A little outdated, but a great experience overall. They were remodeling the kitchen so the the breakfast was available only as a breakfast bag. I guess it is the trade off for the needed renovations.
Basically good. We just had to overnight for a brief few hours sleep because we missed our flight. I think the cost is way too much. I asked for a seniors rate, front desk says it is more expensive!! Maybe you can help me by giving me the dinner (110.00) reimburse!
Great stay close to airport.
The staff are rude. The free breakfast doesn't exist because they say they are renovating their kitchen. Their website says "complimentary breakfast featuring our famous waffles". The water tap in the bathroom was falling off, so I called and asked that they send someone to fix it. They did send someone but the person left the security lock flipped over to keep the door unlocked, which I was appalled to see when I went to my room and found it unlocked. When I asked why my room was left unlocked and unsecured for many hours, I was told they were working on the room. That is NOT a reason to leave a room unsecured and leaving my laptop and suitcase available for anyone walking down the hall to steal. I told them I was in my room for over half an hour after seeing the room unlocked and there was NOBODY working on it and asked, why it was left unlocked. They had no answer and the clerk asked if I was unhappy with the hotel did I want to check out. I said yes. After gathering my possessions I went to the front desk again and asked, VERY CALMLY, why my room was unlocked. The deskclerk said we gave you a refund to your credit card and will you leave. I asked again, very calmly, why my room was unlocked and the deskclerk picked up the phone and called the police and said he had a difficult guest and to send a police officer to remove me from the premises. Calling the police on a guest who wants to know why his possessions were left unsecured is not right. I will not stay there again.
It is close to airport and comfortable for short stays. Has few places to eat nearby.
BEST STAFF!!
I had not stayed here for a while and yes, rooms are comfy and spacious, but what stood out the most this time was THE STAFF!! They were all very Nice and Professional! From the young lady when I checked in, who went out of her way to find me a room where TV had been upgraded, to The Gentleman in the Morning who when I renewed for extra days, was able to move me to my preferred floor once All TV's were done. Even on Sunday when I left, there was another young lady and she made a nice impression too by asking me if I needed a Ride to Airport, which I didnt, but I appreciated it. I come to Houston all the time, so..you'll see me again, for sure.
Staff not helpful. Had to change rooms because TV did not work. Staff member said the website indicated TV problems due to construction. REALLY???? Staff did not tell me shuttle was outside for 9:00 AM pick up even though I was in the lobby. Will not stay at Comfort again.
Didn’t like it at all
Hotel was to be a brief rest stop between flights. Due to slow immigration process, and the size of the Houston Airport, we were not ready to leave the airport until it was too late for the last shuttle. So “terrible” experience but have no idea about the hotel.
Needs Maintenance but Staff Was Fabulous!
The two desk clerks were very nice, as was the shuttle driver. The shuttle was fast...less than 10 minutes wait time at IAH for pickup. No hot breakfast as theyre remodeling the kitchen. The "grab and go" bag that they gave in lieu of breakfast was a Jimmie Dean breakfast croissant that was not refrigerated, a bag of chips, a fruit, and a capri sun. This hotel is in desperate need of maintenance with a lot of things inside and outside the room in barely working order, including the elevator. The bed and sheets were amazingly comfortable however. We slept very well!
The curtain on the window in the room was falling down, the couch had a noticeable stain on it, the bathroom door was filthy, with dirty hand prints all over it. The bathroom door was pealing and there was pink mold on the bathroom floor. Although the desk staff was very nice, I would not recommend this property for lack of cleanliness. Management needs to supervise their cleaning staff. Also, the grab-and-go breakfast was less than spectacular, with a banana, a bag of chips, and a frozen packaged sausage sandwich.
They charge you to use towels deposit of $100..staff is very slow
Ice machine not working. Room smiles. No coffee as they advertise
Location is good
Not up to par
I like this hotel for convenience very near Houston international airport. But this stay was disappointing. TV didn’t work and the breakfast buffet was closed, I do act they didn’t disclose at check in. They offered a sack breakfast, but you had to ask for it. It consisted of a banana, microwave breakfast sandwich ( the kind you pass on at 7-11), a bag of fun yum onion chips and a kids juice box.
Convenient to the airport. It's a bit run down but not horrible and the service was just ok. But if you have a layover and need a quick place to sleep; it works and it's a good price. The free breakfast was a packaged Jimmy Dean sandwich, a bag of cheetos or Funyuns and a kool-aid pouch.
The breakfast to go was a bad idea
Clean
Clean room with lots of space. Breakfast was poor, it was a pre bagged grab and go breakfast. They still had an area for a hot breakfast but did not use it.
Its very close to the airport and fast food restaurants if you have a long layover or just visting for the weekend. Public transportation is nearby as well. The only thing I didnt like was the roaches in the bathroom and lobby I saw, not many but one is too many. And the fact they advertise breakfast but there is none. You end up with brown bag breakfast with microwaved foods. All they provided was lemon water in the lobby area.
They take out an extra deposit of $100 and its already been a couple of days since i have stayed there! Frustrating because they said i would Be getting it the next day if everything was in order. It was in the same exact condition when i left as when i arrived other than some dirty towels.
A little run down, kitchen is under renovation, so no hot breakfast available (they provided a brown bag breakfast to go), skimpy on bath towels (and they are not very big). The free airport shuttle service was great. It was good enough for 1 night with a quick airport layover. There was a great liquor store in the strip mall right beside which was handy.
Lobby and room were clean, location is very convenient to IAH. Overall, there were no issues with my stay and it was a good value.
Rooms were excellent. They were clean big and roomy. Bathroom was clean. It was in a very safe environment. They were going through new management so they had a grab n go breakfast and the cable was not working and you didn’t have many channels but it wasn’t their fault. It was well worth the price would stay here again.
Comfort Suites Bush Intercontinental Airport | Hotel in Houston | Travala.com
The couches in the lobby and in my room were heavily stained. The fixture on the bathroom sink was very loose. The toilet kept running after each flush. Didn’t realize the hotel was so old and won’t be booking with them again for that reason.
