Great little hotel close to Victoria railway and coach stations. Some good food options close by too. Highly recommend.
New Year 2025
The hotel was in a fantastic position for Victoria Coach and Train stations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was cosy and comfortable, and everything you needed was provided. The breakfast offered a great continental choice and was good value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to London via Victoria. We look forward to staying again.
Tiny property with small rooms. I’m 6’5” and my feet hung off bed
Great location & property! Very close & walkable to Victoria Station, Buckingham Palace, pubs & restaurants. Easy connections through Victoria Station to rail lines & other underground lines. Good breakfast, additional 10 pounds sterling per person, per day.
Room in basement with no window. Felt like a dungeon and like a fire trap. Was NOT told about location of room. One assumes they'll get a window too. No window in a hotel room is illegal in Canada. This was not a cheap room either. Feel like I've been had. Can't recommend Expedia based on this experience.
we stayed at the basement floor which was quite noisy, need to wait till tube not running then we will not feel the shaking...other than that everything seems to be fine
Terrible choice
This hotel was overpriced; the only good thing about it was its location. I got a room overlooking a roof of black, crusty mold with outdated furniture & a hard bed. I went to a Comfort Inn in the Victoria area a few years ago& I thought I was selecting the same one. I was extremely disappointed that I selected this option. I will not return to this hotel .
Good
Good value.
Was perfect for our short overnight.
Their was a step to enter the building this was not mentioned pre booking as i have poor mobility this was a negative as was the slope to the room we paid over 200 pound for a small room the bed was no bigger than a single bed my husbands feet over hung all night the pillows where so soft their was no option for another was very dissapointed as advertising was not met by expectation
Our room was tiny and damp. At night when we lay down in bed the sheets felt damp. We were only staying 2 nights and just soldiered through.
Lovely stay
Had a lovely stay, good location for sight seeing. Comfy beds and a lovely shower. Friendly staff would definitely recommend for families.
Okay
Good location and service. Bed wasn’t as comfortable as other hotels I’ve stayed in
Central location and great staff
The location was good for us. However, the condition of the property was not good! One of the electic outlets looked like it had caught fire, there was a stain the color of rust on the ceiling about 6 inches diameter , and there were several runs of black goo dripping from the ceiling to the top of the entry door frame.
Rooms appeared newly refurbished and were certainly in quite good condition. Breakfast quite poor for the money
Amazing
Amazing place to stay very helpful. We loved our stay and was extremely pleased with the early check in
nice
Location is a pretty convenient as it’s near Victoria train station. If you’re adventurous and doesn’t mind walking then this hotel location is for you. It’s about 17 mins to Buckingham palace, 25 minutes to Big Ben. There is no fridge no microwave but I think that’s a Europe thing. The staff were very unfriendly, uninformative, we asked general questions such as places to eat nearby and no answer like we didn’t exist. We got back late evening one night and realized I was out of water. I went to the front desk to ask if there’s water anywhere and he said “no” and started watching on his phone. Other than that, it’s worth the price. You really do pay for what you get. The rooms are very very very small so make sure you read the whole disclosure. I think this is only good for one person one day kind of stay.
Staff was very helpful and kind
Wonderful location! Good breakfast service. Close to coach and train stations and across the street from an excellent pub! Quiet rooms and very clean. I would definitely stay there again!
The cleaning lady works hard. The front desk people are very helpful.
Excellent location. It’s very close to a train and underground station.
Our room was in the basement or zero or London terms. The A/C made a weird buzzing sound every few minutes, you could hear the train rumbling next to the hotel. It was a good thing I had a good pair of earplugs or I wouldn't have slept. The only reason I get a hotel is to sleep.
El aire acondicionado no servia y hacía mucho calor
We had a great experience definitely recommend it!
Good location, near train station, rooms were small but clean. Staff were helpful but not overly friendly. Loud noise outside window (basement room) in the middle of the night.
Be Aware
One of the reasons I booked Comfort Inn at Victoria was that the Hotels.com website indicated that the hotel has AC. On Thursday, August 10, 2023, the day time high was 80oF, we checked into the Comfort Inn at Victoria, and then found that the AC was not working in our room and requested another room. We were told that the hotel was fully booked and they would not be able to give us another room until maybe Saturday, definitely Sunday. In order to move to another room, we would have to pack up all our things in the morning, put the luggage in a storage room, then move to another room in the afternoon. We were afraid that we might not have a room at all during the process, thus decided to stay. In the mid of our stay, I asked about the status of AC repair. The staff was annoyed at me for asking. During our stay of 5 nights, no one came to repair the AC. Although it cooled off on Saturday and the hotel provided us a fan, the room was still very warm because the window has a device which limits the opening up to 8 inch. In order to let the cool air come in, we had to keep the curtain and windows open, which let in the noise from the busy street and it gets light early in London. The sleep is not good. The good things about the hotel are location and breakfast. I will not recommend this hotel because you might not get what you pay for. And the staff can be rude.
The breakfast
Didn't like the breakfast options - Think a fruit salad would go along way or at least more fruit choices. Only oranges and grapes, didn't really go well oatmeal.
Easy to find and close to Victoria Station, room was neat tidy and great as a base to explore from.
Great hotel
Fantastic London hotel.. exceeded our expectations! Room was spacious and recently renovated to a very high standard with good facilities. Staff very friendly and allowed us to store our luggage prior to check in and after checking out. Breakfast is simple but you get enough to do. Would definitely recommend and will stay again.
Very good location, and the staff are excellent
Basic hotel, the one pillow was flat, comforter was old, was put in the basement with no window, breakfast was included in the price but again basic, would not stay here again
The room was fine. However, the staff acted as if we were an inconvenience when we asked them questions.
Confusing location
The location is great. Easy walk to Victoria station for teh Tube, busses or the train. Lots of easily walkable attractions near by. The rooms are small with just a bed and desk. Had a nice clean bathroom. No refrigerator or microwave but I think this is common in the UK. Only real complaint was the signal on the TV kept having either connection issues or streaming issues.
Poor maintenance and poor quality for the price
When we checked in, the room provided to me has a broken air conditioner. The temperature was 85 degrees in London that day! Took them a while to replace my room with another one that has working AC. On top of that, the only elevator was also broken. I am an elderly person with mobility problem..it was an awful experience. For the price that this "Comfort" Inn charges they should do much better. Do they know such thing as "preventive maintenance?
Convenient and clean but noisy.
The room air conditioner was not working, there was a small fan in the room but not enough to cool us down, we have to bathe in cold water to cook off.
I had a room on the lower ground floor, a few feet above the Victoria Underground line. I was glad when they stopped about midnight, until just after 5 when they started again.
Location was really good, very close to almost everything you need and easy accessible to shopping, restaurants and tourist spots.
The hotel claims to have air conditioning, which it does in the lobby only. Each individual room does not. The room was not big enough for me to lay out my suitcase open except on the bed.
The room is quite clean. It is in a central location but still very quiet. The hotel receptionists are friendly.
The property is well situated. It is clean and modern.
Good location, room is clean & breakfast is good
I love the room we stayed in. I also like the fact that the station is just a min walk from the hotel.
Close to Victoria station
The bed and pillows (only 1 per person) were terrible and they staff had no spare pillows or blankets. That made sleeping difficult here.
Recently updated rooms. Clean and modern!
I booked a room with two double beds, but when we arrived, the room had only one double bed and a sofa bed. Ugh. After one uncomfortable night, the staff booked us into a much nicer suite with two rooms... and two double beds. I made my booking six months ago, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to the hotel that I actually wanted what I ordered. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.
Great Stay for the Coronation
Comfort Inn Victoria provided a nice place to stay in an excellent location for the King Charles III Coronation. The two twin bed were not great, but the room was fine and the breakfast was good.
The bedding had hair on it.Looked like it needed to be washed
Lovely property and really enjoy the elevator. Makes traveling easier with luggage. Wonderful continental breakfast. Staff all pleasant and helpful when questions arose.
The location for the Victoria Station to catch the Gatwick express is perfect
We had a pleasant experience and would stay again!
The room was perfect for what we needed for a couple of night's in London. Fantastic location for Victoria coach and rail stations. Reception staff were very helpful.
Too small for 4 people. Not enough plugs to charge phones. Fire alarm went off twice for no reason. Not enough pillows. Would probably never recommend or stay here again.
Dirt sheets. There was no bath towels available, so they gave me 4 hand towels to use for bath. Poor service on breakfast, only one person to collect used dishes, clean tables, replace missing itens and silverware.
Rooms great, breakfast bad
Room and beds were comfortable and clean, although there were a few hairs in the shower on arrival. Breakfast a big let down; supposed to start at 0630 but they were still bringing it out at 0650. The selection was pretty bad too and probably the worst coffee I’ve had. Staff very polite though
This property is in a great location! That said, I would not stay there again. I’m on a multi-week vacation and I’ve walked and climbed my way through Portugal and Italy before getting to London. The first time I had back pain was waking up at Comfort Inn in London. The mattress was a basic innerspring and it was so hard and put so much pressure on my back that I could hardly move the next day. I had to go buy Ibuprofen for pain. Also bathroom felt dirty because the grout in the tile needs a good cleaning with bleach. The carpet in the halls has also seen better days. I just expected better. To be fair, the staff was nice and the breakfast was ok. Of the accommodations we experienced in three countries over four weeks, this property was my least favorite.
close to underground station. many restaurants around
Very good, Great location & friendly staff
Was a little apprehensive because of some previous reviews but we enjoyed our stay as a family of 4. The rooms are somewhat tired which makes it appear unclean but the cleaners were in each day changing the sheets & towels during our 3 night stay. We found the staff were very helpful and did anything they could to assist you. Continental breakfast was good but the breakfast room is small so either go first thing or 30 minutes before it finishes. The location of the Hotel is it's highlight with very good access to all local transport links, shops, pubs, restaurants & various sightseeing within walking distance. Both our rooms had Aircon which was a plus in this heat & the shower was fine, it's a place to get your head down at night when your visiting London. Overall we would recommend staying here & would stay again. If you are expecting a 4/5 star hotel & plan on spending your whole day in your room & hotel then look elsewhere and pay the price which comes with it.
Smallish
It was a bit small by North American standards and the water closet needs to be refurbished.
Great location and price. Staff were friendly and breakfast was decent.
Quiet, clean facility, great staff. Walkable to underground, pubs, food.
Room condition was poor. TV didn’t work, A/C leaked, toilet roll holder broke, beds moved when leaned on, shower was slippery and had no safety mat. Room cleaning service was poor. Dirty dishes were left and it was skipped altogether one day. It was in a good area convenient to Victoria station and dining options.
Room was a good size and recently refurbished however toilet had not been cleaned on arrival. We had to clean it ourselves and it was not cleaned on subsequent days of our stay.
Awfully dirty!
Nice friendly staff. Room was in a very unclean state. Under the bed was disgusting.
Very well located close to Victoria Stayion. Very friendly staff
Staff we were greeted by was wonderful. Staff on bag collection was very rude though. Had a flickering light but was bare able. There was packets still left under the bed. Bed was relatively comfortable and shower was great. They had a hairdryer which was a bonus. Continental breakfast was okay, nice coffee machine but got very busy.
Location from Victoria Station fantastic Bed not very comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms require an update, the reception was lovely. It fitted our needs and I would return
Just avoid
Dirty room ripped and stained carpets. Honking.
accessibility to public transport. What I didn't like was the poor Internet access in the property.
Recommend
Staff were amazing and helpful, we were aloud to leave our luggage after check out which was a massive help since we had a late flight. It is a great location for London and the price is amazing. Recommend this to anyone coming to london
Utterly disgusting, mould on the bed, walls and all on the tiles and ceiling in the bathroom. Carpet was ripped and not secured properly. Overall NEVER again
Great location. Bed average comfort, but room and bathroom clean. Attentive staff at desk. VERY basic breakfast, note of the pastries/pancakes as mentioned on Comfort Inn website. Toast, two cereals, yoghurt pots, cheese blocks, apple juice, red jam. That was it!,
Location excellent staff friendly and helpful breakfast ok but room was very tired and bathroom was in need of updating
Good hotel, close to Victoria theatres.
Damp smell
Got two rooms mine had a damp smell a rip on the carpet as you walked in the shower had a leak the only good thing the bed was comfortable the other room was ok but very uncomfortable futon bed for an adult
One Night Stay in London
Ideal location for an early morning train departure.
Great Location and reasonable priced
it was in a great location, room was a bit small but OK. We would stay here again.
Not as described or advertised
When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the buffet breakfast, as advertised wasn’t available and a pre packaged breakfast would be given in stead. We had 2 children with us and the breakfast availability was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, as we wanted to make sure the children had a good breakfast at the start of the day. So the option of croissants, yoghurt and a bottle of water was very disappointing and meant us spending more money on food than we expected. If we had known this at the time of booking we would have looked for other accommodation. The overall condition of the room was slightly disappointing too, as the air con unit worked intermittently, the toilet cistern was loose so when flushing it moved and we had to make sure that remained on the wall. Due to the room having service pipes outside the windows, there was a constant smell, which meant we had to keep the windows closed. The location was ideal, close to the station and local amenities
Too much road noise early in the morning
Too much road noise - room next to road.
Welcoming and comfortable
Booked this at very short notice. Due to availability the manager kindly upgraded me on arrival from single to front-facing double, with plenty of space, and a decent work area. Excellent internet, friendly staff, very conveniently located. Overall a very enjoyable stay. I'd stay here again happily.
Close to public transit and theaters, water temp in shower was very hard to regulate.
Needs updated
Great location. Hotel needs updated!! Carpet in our room stained, beds not comfortable, only 2 outlet plugs , toilet didnt flush well, drains in both sink and shower very slow, there was no ice machine.
Average
Disappointed with room very noisey breakfast very basic
Great location, great breakfast, rooms are old and in need of renovation, specially carpets, beds, curtains
Could hear the train/tube very loudly in the room. Only 1 of us had hot water for the shower, the other 2 couldn't shower as the water was freezing cold..still the same after a 40 min wait! Tiles had some mould/yellowing areas. On the positive side : Staff were very helpful and pleasant and the beds were comfy. Couldn't be happier with the closeness to Victoria station and Buckingham palace.
Ok
I wish I had spent more money to stay somewhere else. For a night, this would be ok especially if you need to be near the tube or are traveling alone. The location is walking distance to many shops, bus station, rail station, and underground. This made it convenient for me traveling to Gatwick airport. Even with that, I most likely would not stay here again with another adult and teenager.
Just ocation, but keep looking .
This hotel is well located next to Victoria station but it is too expensive for what you get. Breakfast was not really good. Good think We did split our stay in London between two hotels. One full week at this place was not going to be enjoyable. The bathroom floor was very cold and dangerous at the door added to the fact that is very tiny even for a petite size person.
The staff at the hotel were really helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfy, great location to where we needed to be. Luggage store was great so we didn’t have to lug our bags around after check out on Sunday were allowed to collect later that day. Thank you for a lovely stay :)
The staff are very pleasant, however the rooms are small and do need some renovation. We still did enjoy our stay in this hotel. Breakfast was nice
Property was in an excellent location, small but quaint, included breakfast was a bonus.
Close to Victoria
Spend a couple of nights there. Location is very central and a hop and skip from London Victoria station. The free breakfast on the morning was better than I suspected. Room could have done with a vacuum.
hot water stop sometime
