Great hockey weekend with my 3 boys.

The dayshift/weekend lady who worked the front desk AND continental breakfast this past weekend (March 21-23) is a rockstar. Very courteous and friendly. Thank you.

Check in employee at front desk on evening shift not very welcoming and friendly. Let Lukily it snowed so had to clean the truck off and check out in the morning changed my first impression or else our only interactions would of been the night staff. Housekeeping eager to get rooms to clean front desk very friendly and helpful started the day with a smile and road conditions:)

Room heater not on, requested to have it turned on When turned on it would not shut off at 21C keep on going, was at least 28C all night, Next day requested repairs , come back and had a note left saying that a request was ordered, that night again 28C , during the night I found where to unplug the unit next day they relocated us to a different room. i showed a picture of the plug, there is smoke stains on the plug and the cover was broken, this plug had been over heated and should not have been in service. that is why it was turned off, when we arrived. This was a situation that was dangerous, the heater could of caught fire. where can I send the picture of the plug in to show that maintaince is required on all the plugs at the hotel. The hot breakfast with eggs and sausages was very good. There was even batter and a waffle maker for homemade waffles, boiled eggs, etc

Clean friendly

Everything was fine except when we arrived there wasn’t anyone at the desk and when the woman came she was very to the point, gave us all the information but wasn’t welcoming. When we checked out in the morning the woman was very pleasant.

All was good. Very friendly staff. Would deginitely recommend.

Quiet, clean hotel with helpful staff

Parking was great , even for a truck and trailer. Very clean, quiet, comfortable with a great breakfast. The place is well looked after and the staff was happy!

Great value for money

It was easy to find on Lakeshore Drive in North Bay in a nice lot across from Lake Nipissing. Our first impression was how nice the lobby looked and Mary Ellen, the registration clerk, was most helpful, even without asking. Very pleasant and knowledgeable and obviously a very hard worker. She helped us with finding our way around and places to go. The room was well-equipped with a king-sized bedand had a mini-frig and microwave in it. It was very clean with a nice ambiance. It was obvious that the owner and staff looked after it very well. The next morning, Shawna, another pleasant worker, was on staff and did a very good job of keeping the breakfast area well-stocked. We were amazed at the of variety of food available: juices, yogurts, fresh fruit, cream cheese, bagels, breads, danishes, waffles to make on the spot, syrup, cereals and milk and lots of decent coffee. There was even a large screen TV to keep us up on current events. Shawna was in ofter, cleaning the area and restocking. What a lovely experience we had and all at a reazonable price! We will most definitely tell others about it and hope that our review will help them continue to provide excellent service for their customers.

This is a great budget hotel. No frills, but clean, solid breakfast, helpful staff.

I thought the property was great and service was amazing

The design upgrades were absolutely stunning. Staff were knowledgeable and willing to to help. As for the breakfast, was very impressed with the spread available right until the end. Good jod!

It was a nice spacious room and the coffee was good. Took awhile to get service but the staff was nice

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Common areas are a little sketchy, and there appears to be something happening on first few floors; not related to the hotel. Fine for an inexpensive stay for a night; but not a place I’d want to spend multiple nights. Price is right.

I did find one of the staff members not to be too friendly. There was one who we deal with most of the time and she was there and she was very nice. The entrance was very slippery when going in and out of the building.

Did not check in as my reservation was cancelled by the hotel yet I was still charged by Expedia for $94 despite calling 3 times to the reservations number they were clueless and disconnected me 3 times stating they were a 3rd party booking gave me an alternate number so we booked a hotel paid for a hotel but did not get a hotel as the host location said it was cancelled and now to chase a REFUND

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and his time we noticed our room was not clean at all. The popcorn ceiling had many bugs stuck in it. There were very large cobwebs in the corners of the room. It was gross!

Front desk clerk was very helpful and informative and other staff friendly. The room was clean and beds very comfortable. Although the bathroom was clean, the shampoo bottle had been partly used and the vanity showed marked wear.

Good place

It's a Comfort Inn it was what you'd expected it to be. It is dated and showing its age. It was clean and bed was very nice.

The bathroom had poo and food on the wall

The reservation was for a queen bed and pull out couch but there was only 1 bed, we weren’t offered a room switch …the walls are paper thin, you can hear absolutely everything next door. The room beside us had loud guests that were up until 3 am and we had to be up at 6 am. Won’t be staying there again.

Very fairly priced, friendly in person and on the phone, comfy sheets and pillows! Only downside .. very thin walls; the garbage music coming through one wall and the constant coughing through the other, good thing I brought ear plugs.

DIRTY CRACK MOTEL

The first room smelt like urine, so after long discussion with front desk they switched us rooms and the second room smelt like smoke and wet dog. They then refused to refund us and it had only been 10 minutes since we checked in. The hotel was super noisy with people running up and down the hallways screaming, slamming doors and smoking in the hallway. Could hear a dog barking in the hotel a lot of the night. Front desk did not answer the phone when i called down 5 times and no staff at the front desk when i went downstairs to complain. This was between 2am to 5am. The blanket on bed was stained they only allowed you 2 towels and if you wanted an additional towel they refused without you providing them with a dirty towel for a replacement towel. They also don't tell you it is pet friendly.

We were given a very tough time by the morning front desk agent at the hotel. I had the booking for 2 nights through expedia but the front desk agent kept insisting that the booking was only for one night and that we would have to vacate the property asap . Despite seeing the email confirmation from expedia, she kept insisting that expedia made a mistake of creating two separate bookings for the 2 consecutive nights of our booking and kept saying that we would have to immediately vacate the room or pay extra to book a new room. They were not ready to take any responsibility for the booking made via expedia and pushed me to talk to expedia and figure everything out while keeping us out of the room. It was such an insulting way to treat a customer who had paid the hotel to stay and enjoy couple of nights in North Bay. This was such a traumatizing experience and I never expected any hotel staff any where in the world to behave in such a way. Why are they doing business with expedia if they don’t want to take any responsibility whatsoever of the customers who have made bookings through expedia? They also threatened us to call the cops on us if we didn’t vacate or complied with them. This is the worst attitude of any hotel staff that I have seen in my life. After realizing their mistake, instead of apologizing, they asked us to either stay or leave the property and work with expedia to request a refund. I request expedia to scrutinize this property and fix the managements attitude

Nice hotel

Clean, what you expect from comfort inn.

Nice bed but noisy room due to a/c unit. Poor bathroom amenities especially soap the size of a loonie. Could not run the bathroom exhaust fan due to the noise and risk of a fire from the motor.

Check in was fast, guy at counter was friendly, rooms were good, breakfast was great

Excelent contental breakfast. Found patio door difficult to opperate.

We came in late and We are just here overnight but the walls is flimsy you can hear Nextdoor talking, kids running on the hallways until late at night. The room smell like smoke and wet dog. I can’t sleep because of the smell it was strong and horrible

Decent place for the price. Booked last min and wasn’t disappointed!

Staff were friendly, room was comfy, and all was perfect, even though I was travelling with a pet. They took real good care of us. Highly recommended. Plus good value.

The restaurant is amazing and the lakeside view location, along with the boardwalk made for a really relaxing stay
