I did not get the room I asked for, the elevator was not working. I asked for a later checkout and they didn’t give it to me.

Perfect weekend getaway for holidays

Our stay at Coast Hotel in Victoria, BC was amazing. Customer service was super friendly, and the hotel is very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a great rest for jumping on the hop on hop off bus directly at the hotel. The location is perfect for a morning walk on the path to downtown Victoria. The Blue Crab restaurant has excellent crab cakes, and Nourish Kitchen has good breakfast although limited choices. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Coast Hotel plus it is affordable.

Great!! it was clean, very comfortable, the rooms were beautiful, and best of all, the staff puts you on a text thread, so whenever you need something or have a question, you can get your needs met quickly. They were very responsive and courteous.

The staff were great and we appreciated them for all the help with Christmas dinner. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, they could use a pool bar menu.

I splurged on my hotel stay in Victoria and simply feel like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Pros: Friendly and professional staff. Immaculately clean rooms. Cons: Noisy HVAC all the time. Tufting on firm mattress makes the beds feel super lumpy. Pool smell in lobby and elevators. A bit isolated from stores and attractions, but the walk into town is lovely.

We like the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. But we don't like the gym. It is too small. Suggest to add robes in all rooms for the pool use.

Sanctuary

Always lovely to stay at the Coast. The staff are great, food delicious, pool and hot tub relaxing and the rooms a nice comfy sanctuary.

Staff very polite

We arrived a little early from the ferry and they let us check in which we really appreciated. We found the room to be clean comfortable and well appointed including a bar fridge microwave and safe. The linens wer fresh and clean and the mattresses were comfy and not too hot. The pillows were also just perfect for me as a side sleeper. The parking was a little pricey but convenient. And the harbour views spectacular. Great hotel. Can’t wait to come back

This hotel is absolutely lovely if you’re looking for a place to stay in downtown Victoria. The rooms are beautiful and clean; please make sure to book Ocean View as it’s completely worth the money!! The water taxi will pick you up right in the harbour and everything is so close that you can even walk to where you need to go. The restaurant is 5 star and the hotel staff are always amazing!

Stayed before, great hotel, clean, friendly staff. The only downside was the beds are pretty hard though since the renovations.

Paying for a room and then being told that parking is an extra 27 per night is disappointing. I would not stay again and won’t stay at hotels they charge for parking as if I’m supposed to magically arrive on the doorstep.

I had accidentally left my daughter's stuff puppy in the hotel, and their team help me found it with providing different solutions in sending back the puppy to me, i truely appreciated. thanks

The coast hotel was amazing. We loved the modern rooms and amazing views of the ocean. There are so many places you can walk to from the hotel and there is a shuttle to get you downtown which was so convenient. The restaurant is amazing, you have to eat there. Every thing we ate there was amazing and the service was the best we had during our whole stay. We will be going back here again and would recommend the hotel and restaurant to everyone.

Nice property for business trip

The staff at Coast was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was ready early which was a big benefit when we came off an early morning ferry. We would definitely return and stay here again!

Last Friday, First day check in, cleaner walked into my room total 3 times. He was very apologetic. Next day, I had to extend my stay and had to wait from 11am to almost 4pm for my other room. As for check out the hotel over charged me another day. I called in yestersay and also showed up in person about the over charge and still got the run around saying manager have not gotten back to them. Overall the premium suites I really enjoyed but the staff may need better communication and time managment needs to be improved.

Coast Hotel is a great option for staying in Victoria. The location is walking distance to fisherman’s wharf, downtown and some great local cafes and restaurants. The best part is the Japanese toilets in every room. Lastly they have a complimentary shuttle into downtown and the driver (Reid) is an absolute gem.

The property is kind of old. Not much storage space of hooks to hang stuff. The staff is amazing and makes up for any shortcomings on the property itself. The view and the area are excellent. There are closer properties to the main shopping and food areas but the view on this property is worth the 10 mins walk.

The location of this hotel is perfect for walking to downtown, taking a taxi boat, fine dining and so much more. The Blue crab restaurant ( at the hotel) is excellent as well.

Great stay. Good pool, secure parking, fantastic location. Comfortable and clean rooms that are updated. Only complaint is the price of parking ($26 per day).

Parking was expensive at $27.30/night.

The Staff are the best!

Very comfortable beds. We very much appreciated the excellent shuttle service. The recent room renovations are well done. The safety bars in the shower are a great addition, although some seniors may still find the new tubs a challenge to step in and out. Still need to replace the worn floor coverings in the hallways.

Rooms are not sound proof. Could hear every sound above and in hallways. Hard to sleep.

My only suggestion would to have a comfortable chair in the room. Sofa was a bit hard. But everything else was very nice

Clean and Wonderful

I have not been to a cleaner room in a long time. The coffee was top notch and the shower water temperature was hot. It sounds like a small thing, but I enjoy a hot shower. I highly recommend this hotel.

Bathroom had the lighted mirrors and bidet for the toilet, bed was comfy. Housekeeping did a good job. Although the room seemed renovated, the hotel was dated. Sound travelled through the ceiling of our room and the walls, balcony was tiny. The security of the facility was an issue for me - anyone could get up to our floor from the outside. No swipe required to enter the hotel by the pool and no swipe required to use the elevator. Overall, quite an expensive hotel for what we got. Wouldn’t stay there again.

This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Victoria From the incredible staff to the rooms comfortable beds relaxing patio breakfast at the Blue Crab to the incredible transport service. It was wonderful!!

This was a really lovely stay. I love hotels that have a restaurant just off the lobby and always smells great. We had an incredible corner room with a marina view and actually hung out in the hotel room quite a bit because it was so comfortable. The pool was fun and I think would be great for kids. The gym was great with the perfect amount of equipment to get a good workout in. The only thing that was strange was that you have to go into the pool area to get to the gym, when there is an available door to go directly into the gym. All they need is a key pad on the direct gym door. The way they have it now you are tracking dirt into the pool and vice versa tracking water from the ground around the pool into the gym. This must be a headache for the cleaners. But other than that we loved our stay here and would definitely go back.

Coast Victoria is a fabulous hotel! It’s right on the waterfront trail that connects to Clipper and Black Ball ferries. Easy for walking on those vessels and walking to hotel. Incredible views, AWESOME pool and hot tub, super nice bartender and close to everything. Loved it!!

Wonderfully Relaxing

I stayed in the Coast King with a view of the harbour and it was amazing waking up and going to sleep with the comings and goings of the sea planes. Great hotel and great restaurant (Blue Crab) in the lobby. The staff are wonderful.

What a wonderful harbor view!!! Location was great, near Fisherman's Wharf and within walking distance of museums and Parliament. They also offered shuttle service to Chinatown. Beds were very comfortable, pool and spa were very nice. Negatives were balcony was too small to use, would only fit chairs sideways. Was too noisy: banging doors, people walking overhead. Had requested a top floor room, but got 2nd floor.

I selected the hotel primarily for its location. However, upon further observation, I noticed that there were other hotels in the same area that offered better amenities and services. In my opinion, the Costa Victoria is overpriced considering the quality of the building. It appears that the cost does not align with the overall value. Additionally, I found that the facilities in general are in need of renovation.

Lovely hotel, just a 10 mins walk from downtown Victoria and close to Fisherman’s wharf too. Room was spacious, clean and the bed was the most comfortable ever! We also had a wonderful Japanese toilet! All in all very happy with our choice and experience.

Had an amazing stay here. The shuttle service to downtown was top notch, and the drivers were very friendly and engaging. Check in was a breeze, and all staff were friendly and accommodating. Requested to not have our room cleaned to be a little more economical and the front reception staff were happy to supply us with coffee, creamers, and even decaf coffee for the duration of our stay. Rooms were comfortable, clean and well maintained. The texting for assistance was also a nice bonus. Anything we needed, or shuttle pick up was a quick text and reply. There is a stop out front for the Hop On Hop Off bus, and the water taxi is also right out back which makes getting around easy! The only thing (which is me being picky) is the room description on the Expedia site. The coast rooms have a Juliet balcony which is enough space to stand and I had 1 chair facing sideways to sit outside. The premier rooms have the full balcony. Felt a little misled - but still nice to get out for fresh air and a nice view if you can get the ocean view. Overall it was a great stay, and I look forward to staying here again the next time I visit Victoria.

This was a hidden gem! The location and hospitality was so much more than we expected. It is about 3 mins from the Clipper/BlackBall Ferry lines. It is close enough to the main area of Victoria to walk and its quiet for when you want to wind down for the evening. Rooms were very clean. Our city view even had a peek-a-boo water view. You can walk along the water path from the back of the hotel to the pier/city or along the street path. Both are great. We even walked to the Saturday market which was only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. We may of found our new go to place for our future visits!

The pool is very nice and it was a drop off spot for the Hop on Hop off bus. Had issues with the cashless vending machines. I hate not being able to use cash.
