Very good hotel for Egyptian standard. Food was good. Everyone in the family could always find something they liked to eat. Guests could spread out over several pools beach. That created more quite areas and it didn't feel crowded. Staff was always friendly, especially to kids. Rooms and other facilities were clean. I can recommend the hotel especially for family with kids (small and big kids)

I believe they still require additional services to be considered a 5 star resort. Providing transportation within the facility would be a plus being that most of the rooms are far from the main building or lobby where the restaurant are located. All in all it was a good place for vacationing.

The hotel is amazing. Amazing customer service, high quality of food and most important is it’s clean. The restaurant manger treaded us as special guest. Clean Beach and a-lot of activities. Overall experience is great. Highly recommended.

Amazing hotel for both relaxing and activties

It was amazing experince and hotel over all. Yet sone points to consider Heater pool only the smallest one all others are cold Animation is good but mainky for Adults ..kids activyiesbare limited yet they have very nice kids club Main spoken laungauge for animation is germany as 80% are German. They have good jetty and Marina amd coral reef are great if its your first ot 2nd time to snorkelling Renovted rooms are excellent not sure about the others Food is very food with many choices..i prefered lunch over dinner Night shows very nice speically in the Amphiter Staff are very nice and helpful and dont ask for tips . For kids i think its not yue best for them but for Adults way to go

Not so wow

Room was big honestly. But it was old with old furniture. No refrigerator. Cleanliness is normal. Bathrooms are old and not super wow. Overall it’s ok, but it’s not worth this amount per night.

Beautiful hotel 😊

This hotel is wonderful, we highly recommend it. It’s a very big hotel spread over beautifully kept grounds. The pools and pool areas are kept very clean, plenty of room and sun beds for everyone. The food is fabulous, so much variety with a different theme every night, the dining room is spacious and staff very friendly and helpful. We had an executive suite which was huge overlooking the beach and the pools, fabulous suite. The beach is also very good with lovely warm sea. Beach bar was good for snacks lunch time. There was another bar at the beach called halfway bar for just soft drinks, coffee and beer, also at the end of the beach was the diving bar run by the lovely Mishmish, great barman. Will definitely go back there.

We absolutely loved this hotel and would recommend it to everyone. What we liked: - The food was amazing. So much variety and super fresh. - The property is amazing and setup perfectly, area for kids, area for adults, the beach is nice - but like much of the red sea there are a lot of coral on the beach. There is an amazing pier that is perfect for snorkeling and the reef there is unbelievable SO MANY FISH!! you can go scuba diving there at the resort. - The staff was so friendly. We loved everything really no complaints really. For Americans going there - I just thought it was cool that Hurghada is a vacation spot for Germans and Russians. Just FYI - people might speak to you in German which is fine because they also speak English - I just thought it was interesting haha.

Love how well laid out it was. My room was Fantastic and my housekeeper Mohamed was excellent. Got an amazing portrait by Waseem,a true artist.

Excellent stay at the resort

Absolutely amazing stay. Met so many really nice people both staff and guests. Food and drinks were great. Rageb, bartender at the 24 hour bar was so friendly and accommodating and always smiling. In fact all of the staff were amazing. Animation team, Karen and Saif, both excellent and really friendly too. Can’t mention everyone but believe me the staff are just the best. I will definitely be returning, hopefully soon.

Perfect return visit

This is the 4th time to Cleopatra and already I can't wait to go back. The hotel is large but on huge grounds and the buildings are only 2 storeys so it's very spacious. It literally has everything you could want - pools, bars, fitness centre, spa, beach, diving centre, a la carte restaurants etc. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Standard of cleanliness is good, there's always a fantastic selection of food in the buffet restaurant with Friday's Egyptian food excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

The Worst Hotel I've ever been at

The animation guy raise his middle finger and threatened of killing me in front of my kids The worst hotel management I’ve ever seen. In our last night, I was waiting with my wife and 2 kids to have our turn in the dart game for more than half an hour which was used by the animation guy tagged ROSLAN, when he was done he moved to the billiard table without giving us the chance to play the dart. I went to talk to him when he said impolitely that he can’t see any problem with that. I told him that I feel it’s impolite way of talking to the guests and that he is representing the hotel, and I asked for his manager. He shouted at me and started to insult me in front of the kids and said he doesn’t have a manager and he raised his middle finger. I shouted at him and told him that he can’t do that in front of the kids, he said “ I CAN KILL YOU AS WELL IF I WANT!!!”. I left the place right away and went to the reception asking about the general manager. Someone called OSSAMA came with the front desk manager and defined himself as the executive manager. I told him what happened and that I want to call the Canadian embassy to protect my family. He tried to apologize and offered one of my 2 kids a t-shirt?! (I refused to take it), then they brought the guy ”ROSLAN” who admitted doing what I said and apologized to me. I told the manager that ROSLAN was threatening that he gonna kill me and I wanna make sure that it’s safe to stay in the hotel for my family or to find a safe hotel.

Friendly staff was always happy to help but food was a little to be desired although the deserts were outstanding pools was rarely cleans and didn't seem to have any filters running by our last day floors of pool was dirty and you could see skin marks around the edge

Staff spoke almost only german, food adapated for german taste, first days kids clud animator spoke russian...

There were a lot of activities at the hotel to chose from and it not close to the city center but about 30min away by car. The spa and massage was okay but not great

Nice and safe hotel in Hurghada

I had a great experience staying at this hotel for a few days. The quality of food and service was great; clean facilities and attentive staff. If you are planning a trip to Hurghada, I recommend you to stay at this hotel.

Very Good Time

Pool bar should extend snack time to 7 pm at least . Staff are friendly and helpful . Will visit it again .

The staff are good while the facilities are not

1- The hotel doesn't provide soap in the guests room. You need to buy your own. 2- the hotel is 30 km away from Hurghada. The hotel dosen't provide free or cheep transportation to Hurghada or the airport. It costs 200 le for one way. You can't take ai taxi as there is no buildings around the hotel. 3- The houskeeping don't clean the cofee cups in the rooms. 4- We had a leaking pipe in the bathroom cased a flud in both of the bathroom and the room. The flud happend again after they fixed it as they didn't pay attantion to fix it in the correct way. 5- we complained about a bad smell in the bathroom. But they couldn't fix it.6- The staff in the reception were very frindely. 7- The food was more than enough in the resturant, while it wasn't enough in the pool erea. The quility of the food was medium.

A wonderful vacation in a very friendly hotel

Staff is very very friendly, check-in was very smooth. They presented a strange rule on a dress code for diner, in a resort! After some discussions, they just don't want you to go in very short shorts or swimming dress for diner. The rooms are very good, clean, room space is OK. Sea view is great with a nice balcony. Food is very good, they have a system giving guests color coded bracelets based on half/full board/All-inclusive. A lot of pools, animation team is really animated! a lot of sports activities during the day and a nice performance at the theatre at night. They have a water activities center which has a lot of options, very nice people. We struggled a bit with drinking water, suggest to bring your supplies with you. Water shoes are very very important, had to buy some over priced ones but it was essential. In-room kettle, sugar, tea, no nescafe in the room so my manual espresso machine proved handy. The room has a safe. Overall experience is great, really recommended.

Good for groups; not for a couple

Animation team and food were amazing. Staff at the reception are horrible, so unprofessional, untrained, non welcoming and not cheerful. The staff at the reception charged my credit card for the whole stay although Expedia already charged my credit card in advance. Then they said it was a mistake and they reversed the transaction. This hotel invests in property but not in people and one manager there told me it's a big challenge to find good staff.

booked beach front and got sea view

i booked beach front rooms and got sea view rooms far from beach. yet it was overlooking the pool and sea, but that's not what i paid for. i paid for a beach front, steps away from shore. when i complained the front desk manager told me that they call this room beach front! i should get a refund of $80 as difference from the beach front and sea view. check in was late because the room was not yet clean. i waited for 2 hours . some gym machines are broken. Bed is too small. tv in room is too small regarding the room. fridge is not cooling. bathroom ventilation is not good. food looks nice but does not taste as good, specially dessert. vast variety but no taste. bad quality in room ammentied, shampoos, body lotions, even the tooth picks are of bad quality. night shows are interresting. staff are trying to be nice but some of them need training. they act unprofessionally. swimming pools are nice and there are many.. i liked the relaxing pool.

A+++++ Best resort, staff, management and facilit

We stayed a few nights and found Cleopatra truly a luxurious resort and extended our stay for a week. Staff were extremely well mannered and provided the best customer service with a permanent smile and kept all guests entertained and happy. The rooms and facilities were kept clean and in very good shape at all times. Room service cleaned our room and replaced beddding and towels daily also sweeped and mopped the whole room and balconies. Rooms were very comfortable and had a great view of the entire resort and the Red Sea. We booked for spa services and was extremely clean with professional staff and therapists onsite. 3 restaurants offered beautiful service with a view and a great selection of food. The Buffet had different food every time so we enjoyed a large variety of food and was always a nice surprise to find great selections and dessert was very delicious as well. I have stayed at many resorts world wide and Cleopatra have a set a new level of expectations as it is truly a paradise waiting discovery. We will definitely return for more beautiful vacations. . Great rooms & pool and beach side, RUDE Reception

Really lovely resort, although my friend booked it, and did not realize it is basically all German and Russian guests, that made it a bit hard to socialize. Lovely Pools! and beach area! was just the right amount of busy. Reception was always very Rude never felt welcome when going to ask a question, and then maybe half the staff where really nice and the other half quite rude.

Not 5 Star & Certainly not Luxury

For a start the term "Luxury Resort" is false advertising. The hotel is fine but I've stayed in far poorer countries than Egypt and 3/4star hotels have been far superior. We had a junior suite in the "Beach hotel" part of the resort. Absolutely great as we walked in. It was clean and airy, with a great view over the bay. Went to shower that evening and there was no hot water. We called guest services but nobody arrived - we were unable to shower that evening. The next day still no maintenance but by night 2 we had just sufficient hot water. Hot water and pressure was an issue throughout the stay and getting sufficient hot water through the shower was always a problem (the hot water from the sink was fine). The first few nights the winds were quite high and on the cooler side so we did not need the air-con however by day 4 the heat ramped up, it was very warm and no breeze. The evenings were hot. 3 times we called guest services and maintenance came and "fixed" the air-conditioning while we were out only to find that on our return to the room all the air-con did was blow out uncooled air from the room. The last 3 nights was spent being uncomfortable as the rooms were too hot to sleep. When we complained again on checking out the reception staff couldn't care less that the issues reported weren't resolved.

Great food and beach

Really great place - beach was great , sea clean and warm.great pools etc. Mainly German and Russian clientele but we met some fellow Brits who were great mark and trudy thanks for some great beers and chats ! Bars and food were exceptional far better than I've previously experienced in Egypt and other all inc packages. A few well deserved tips and the service was even better. Hurgadha day trip was pointless I've travelled a lot and never been anywhere any worse got really hastled and there is zero culture . hotel transfers from Airport and day trip were very very expensive when done through hotel. This place as a complex though was brilliant have no hesitation In recommending .

Great Hotel, clean, staff friendly and helpful, would recommend. Great snorkeling, pools looked great but not heated for winter, shame.

Ideal for a "chill-out" beach holiday

We were a small party of five looking for a short winter break. As Egypt is mostly desert you cannot expect stunning scenery out-side of the resorts, but inside the complex the hotel lived up to its promise. If you like to sap up the sun, be warned that December can be windy!, but the sea which was only a short distance walk was warm and snorkelling was fantastic, with loads of fish to sea. We did not do the diving but other gusts we spoke to said that was fab as well. The accommodation was a little 'tired' with some appliances not functioning, but were all resolved satisfactorily when taken up with the Public Relations staff and in particular the manageress who's courtesy was exceptional throughout the holiday. We naturally had security concerns before booking the holiday given the current climate, but in the event it was the three lane 'anything goes' driving that was scary at times when on excursions to Luxor (which is a must do as always), and transfers to and from the airport...... The experience was generally great and we would like to go back again.

lovely hotel right on the beach

The hotel is huge! When you walk around the bay and look back at the Cleopatra it occupies about a 3rd of the bay-front! However, this means that no where is particularly busy at any time, other than the heated pool frequented by families. The food choices were good, even up to half an hour before the restaurant closed and the staff are very friendly. We had a week of doing nothing and it was perfect for us, although would've been just as good if we'd wanted to partake in a different activity each day.

Amazing beach and very friendly staff, pools are huge and very very clean, the resort is spotless and always being maintained The food is 3 out of 5 because it's very repetative The shows are poor quality It's about 20 min from airport And 20 min from dowtown hurghada where u can shop and eat at different places very fun to explore U can do fun excursions and aqua sports, belly dancing and scoobadiving, the submarine ride was amazing Overall i would definitly recommend it for couples and families with kids I would definitly go back again

Slidt hotel og halv dårlig mad men god snorkling

Billederne fra stedet snyder lidt. Stedet er meget slidt og det mangler hygge. Der er ok mange faciliteter bueskydning og de forskellig ude aktiviter er ok. Fitness var også ok. Stranden er fin og man kan snorkle direkte fra hotellet. Dette var super fint. Der priser på massage osv er helt væk. De kræver 100 euro for en time. Maden var dårlig. All inclusive på den dårlige måde med for meget at for dårlig kvalitet. Både de 2 alacarte (som man i øvrigt kun må spise på 1 gang hver) og buffen var ikke særlig godt. Vinen var noget pap vin af dårlig kvalitet også. I buffet restauranten var der så dårlig akustik at vi slet ikke ønskede at sidde inde og derfor sad ude i 18 grader. Det virkede meget cafeterie agtigt uden dug på bordet.

Makadi Bay etwas abgelegen von Hurghada. Hotel weniger was für Kinder, eher was für das ältere Semester. Essen gut. Sauber...

In die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, bei dem an vielen kleinen Stellen Nachbesserungsbedarf besteht. Trotzdem, wir haben uns gut erholt.

Tolles Hotel! Man hat alles was man braucht und ein sehr schönes Hausriff zum Tauchen. Es gab sehr viele verschiedene Aktivitäten und das Essen war sehr lecker. Was will man mehr?!

Sehr starke Magenkrämpfe vom Essen bekommen.

Direkte Strandlage mit Riff zum schnorcheln, mehrere Pools (mit genügend Liegen so dass es kein Handtuchlegen gab) Essen mit riesiger Auswahl. Nettes Personal. Große Zimmer.

Mir hat alles am Hotel gefallen. Personal sehr Freundlich, hilfsbereit. Sehr gut kann es nur Empfehlen.

Wunderschön, das Störendste waren die Unmengen an Essen, die andere Besucher hamsterten und dan grösstenteils auf ihren Tellern unangetastet übrigblieben und im Eimer landeten.

Je recommande vivement

Superbe hôtel avec un personnel aux petits soins !! Belles piscines , belles chambres , buffet répétitif mais de bonne qualité ! Il n’y a rien autour de l’hôtel , à 40 minutes de voiture d’hurghada . La plage est bien aménagée de transats et de paravents mais il faut marcher une bonne centaine de mètres afin de pouvoir nager ! Sinon hôtel au top pour se reposer et profiter du soleil ! Personnel attentif et pas envahissant !

Man könnte vieles noch optimieren. Wifi im Zimmer. Minibar im All inclusive auch inklusiv und regelmässig befüllt. Die Liegen am Pool (windgeschützt) gratis und nicht kostenpflichtig. Es war ok für eine Woche. Aber für ein All inclusive nicht das, was wir uns normalerweise gewöhnt sind von anderen Hotels.

Insgesamt hat uns das Hotel sehr gut gefallen,

Boendet ligger precis vid ett rev så man kan efter bara en kort promenad både dyka och snorkla.

In einer Suite dürfte es ein separate Dusche haben und nicht eine Dusche nur in der Badewanne, welche jedes Mal das Badezimmer flutet.

Sehr schönes Hotel, sehr sehr sauber. Super freundliches Personal. Klasse Buffet und wunderschöne Poollandschaften. Tolles entertainment und große Zimmer.

Pulizia e struttura ottimi. C’e’ la barriera corallina proprio davanti senza bisogno di prendere la barca!! Si mangia bene e il servizio all inclusive è eccezionale!!!

Sono appena tornata da questa struttura meravigliosa .. pulita, curata , piscine bellissime, stanze spaziose e belle , personale gentilissimo e nn invadente ! Villaggio grandissimo con anfiteatro e spettacoli ogni sera.. davvero belli.. il mare e la spiaggia bellissimo .. solo che spesso c’e La bassa marea .. e per fare il bagno devi camminare 1km .. pochi italiani eravamo una decina in totale .. l’unica pecca di questo villaggio è il cibo ! La mattina a colazione tutto buono e tantissime cose .. creps con nutella ovviamente nn Ferrero ma molto simile dal gusto ... invece a pranzo e cena propongono sempre le stesse cose cucinate con salse e cremine di ogni tipo .. se nn ci fosse stata la pizza e patatine e pasta al pomodoro saremmo stati digiuni tutta la settimana ! X la struttura lo consiglio ! Devo dare un bel 10 ! X il mangiare 2 e anche meno .... peccato comunque spero che questo problema lo risolvino prima possibile e cambiare cuoco .. perché così nn va .. rimaneva tutto nei vassoi perché la gente nn mangiava! I dolci erano alcuni buoni alcuni strani di sapore ! Tornerò a hurgada sicuramente perché é bella ma nn in questa struttura .. ma solo perché il mangiare nn è buono ! Altrimenti ci ritornerei volentieri perché la struttura è bellissima !!!! Il mio consiglio cambiare cuoco prima possibile !
