Location and Access
This hotel is about location - close to universals and it offers the basics for sure. Obviously an older hotel but they are doing their best to keeping looking fresh and clean. The door to the room could use some help but otherwise it is what you expect from a motel - outdoor hall and an AC unit plugged in below the window. If your looking for easy access to Universal Studios or International Boulevard this place is right between the two.

The shuttle to Universal was quick and easy. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was a bit like a motel though (the pictures looked so glamorous haha). And I could hear my neighbors televisions. But I wasn’t staying at the hotel for the hotel aspect. I just needed a cheap place to sleep and shower after a day of fun. And Clarion checked those boxes!
Ok enough. You get what you pay for here. Rooms were clean enough for a motel, but dirtier than I had hoped—toothpaste stains around the sink, a dead bug in the bathroom, some smudges on the walls. Sheets and towels were clean. Had to switch rooms because the heat wasn’t working in ours (45d in Orlando). Rooms faced the highway. Very loud all night.
Clean and petfriendly. There's a restaurant and cafe onsite, budget- friendly.
Good location, close to Universal studio
It was alright. Nothing to brag about.
I enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of walking through nearby universal studios. This hotelnis walking distance from universal, but also offers a complimentary shuttle. Staff were friendly.
Great location located near pretty much everything
I frequently visit Orlando and am always looking for budget friendly hotels, that don’t feel budget friendly. This hotel looks like it was totally remodeled, and they did a good job! It’s great for the price. Quiet, close to the theme parks, and incredibly worth the price! Will definitely stay again!
El lugar estaba bien
Excellent Universal Partnered Motel!
Great place that's inexpensive for short or long stays. The customer service is amazing and readily answers any questions you may have. The rooms were clean, but, of course, it's not a five-star hotel, so don't expect everything to be spotless. You get what you pay for. The location is fantastic, as Universal Orlando Park is just a stone's throw away—only a five-minute drive or a 15-minute walk! This motel is also a partner motel, offering scheduled shuttles to the parks. The on-site café is excellent, and there’s also a pool, an Indian restaurant, and a small shop in the lobby area.
It was great experience, nice staff, clean pool and hot tube
This was a last minute trip to Orlando for the Citrus Bowl and a day at Universal. The hotel was perfect for us. Comfortable, easy to get to, and nice staff. Loved the free shuttle to Universal.
Clean, comfortable, good value, within walking distance of many shops, parks, and restaurants.
Good choice, walking distance from the outlets
It is not a hotel, it’s a motel. It is simple but very nice. I didn’t like that they charge extra to use the safe which I consider is needed because I didn’t see any cameras around the property and being a motel you can get inside easily from the street without anyone noticing. The other issue I found odd is that the housekeeping service for the room is every third day and you have to request it at the front desk one day before around noon; the thing with this is that, for starters, you have to remember which day to request it and then be there at the requested lapse of time to schedule it. I stayed 5 night and cleaning didn’t happen…not a big issue for me but surely not used to it. Apart from these it is a good choice and would definitely return.
Check-in was easy. Room was very clean on arrival. Not much noise barrier between rooms. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Shuttle to Universal was very easy.
Good
Very nice hotel .. good condition.. clean .. and very closed to shopping.. and the parks
Great location and staff. The on site restaurant was a pleasant surprise!
The place is horrible
Great location. Only about a 10 minute drive to universal’s parking deck.
If possible, it would be great if the bottom bed frames could be rounded off. Left with a few bruises.
Grear location to Universal parks for a motel like stay. No elevator for upper level room access. 🤔
Overall it is good, the property is a little old, not desk, few outlets.
Overall our stay was fine. We were in the separate building from the main hotel and it was extremely loud. Felt like the walls were paper thin. Beds were not comfortable either. The staff was good and hotel was clean but do not recommend if you’re looking for a quiet spot.
Terrible cheap over glorified motel
Terrible rooms. This place is over glorified cheap motel with rude front desk people. I am disappointed with hotels dot com reviews. They are not true. Even if you spend some extra money goto a near by better hotels. The rooms are like match boxes. Shame
Great
Had to call service maintenance twice to fix TV.
Good
Nice
The staff wasn’t friendly, lobby was dirty and smelled. Rooms were clean. Only one place to get coffee and it was 5 bucks a cup and it was horrible. Won’t be back!!!
Very close to the parks
Wouldn’t recommend staying here
Our stay here was extremely uncomfortable. Our room was less than desirable. Everything felt damp. Then, there’s this smell in the room that almost leaned towards there bing mold somewhere. In the bathroom, we found a dead roach behind the toilet. We stayed out of the room as long as possible our entire because of the conditions.
Nice hotel, great condition, excellent location
It was all good, as always 😊
Perfect for the short trip to universal
Below average accommodations
Bed wasn't comfortable, a/c unit controls didn't work properly and unit made too much noise. Bathtub was extremely slippery and there are no grab bars or any safety features. Parking lot was very narrow with poor signage and two way traffic forces you to stop and pull over to let other vehicle pass before proceeding
Very friendly and informative staff. Rooms were clean just as advertised. Thankyou for a pleasant stay
Older style with outdoor access to the rooms but clean. Friendly staff and great location for visiting Universal Studios.
The room was cute and appeared clean. No staff whatsoever to
The staff was super friendly open arrival. The room was clean and ready to go. We walked to Universal each day, but there is a shuttle. The free parking at the hotel is a huge plus. They have a little place to eat and get water. I would highly recommend staying here. I gave it a good overall instead of excellent because the walls are thin and if you have loud neighbors, you hear everything.
Property was not safe. My first day there was not a good experience. Faucet in my bathroom were broken. there was also a bad sewer smell in the room.
Easy parking included in stay, good location to get around. Rooms where clean
Convenient location.
The rooms are dated but very clean
Very nice
Nothing wrong, which is rare. 👍
Overall I have no complaints about the staff. The concern i had in this area was staff members not able to converse in English. To me it seems a necessity for all hotel staff to be able to converse somewhat in the country's language. My second problem was a missing room item. Namely a shower curtain. Granted one was brought to us once it was discovered but how can something like this be overlooked by housekeeping and their supervisor. My third problem was an extra cup of coffee. You pay almost $3 for a cup of coffee with no refills. With hotel staff stopping by for a free cup, it's possible the profit margin wouldn't allow the extra cup (yes, i did try the coffee in the room. It was vile). I do give kudos on the free parking and the overall room price. Considering the location near Universal Studios, they were both a very pleasant surprise. However do be aware if you're traveling with a pet, the pet charge is a daily fee and not a one time fee.
well place

It’s a No for Me
We checked in on 11/29 and checked out on 12/1. The pictures posted on Hotels.com was barely anything like the hotel. The lobby looked most like the pictures, however, there were still some differences. Seemed to be no well lighting in the hotel along with scuff marks and other marks on the walls. When we arrived in our room, the first things we noticed was the trash had not been taken out and there seemed to still be dirt on the floor. In addition, there were also fuzzies/strings on the sheets of the beds and the light switch by the door did not work. The door also seemed to have a hard time closing and you could even see light coming through some. The shower had brown marks on the wall; looked like scuff marks perhaps? In addition, most each night we got the strong whiff of “skunk” smell (if you know what I’m talking about”. On the third night of our stay our key quit working to the door for some reason. I called the front and they informed us we would have to go all the way to the lobby to get a new key. Normally I wouldn’t mind this, but we were at the back side of the hotel on the second floor (no elevators) standing in the cold. Having to truck to the front was exhausting after a day at the parks. We also had a lot of times where we just did not feel safe staying there Overall, the employees were nice and checkout was easy (leave the key in the box at the front desk) but everything else was disappointing.
Good, clean, great location!
Stay was good. The bath tub leaked so if you are prone to hearing noises keep the fan on so u don’t hear it. Room was nice clean and no smell so that was good :) bed hard. Didn’t sleep well but I like softer beds so no neg towards that. Pillows really fluffy! Don’t hear much from outside or other rooms. 2nd floor is nice. Parking was good but got packed by 11pm.
I had a very pleasant experience . The room was quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a great choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. Would definitely recommend!
Nice
Convenient location. On a busy road and easy to miss. Had a bath, which is a rare luxury these days.
Safe! Quiet and Clean!
Stay somewhere else!!! Very poor quality!
The room hard to find. Hidden in far off corner and not in good quiet way! It was closest to noisy highway and hotel was not even close to half full! Loud people, skateboarding or something thru the parking kept us up. Room was old and outdated. Hard to believe rated very good! For the money, no breakfast and very low quality. Couldn’t relax in entry lounge when first got there-kids running around and laying all over the furniture!
This was an average hotel in walking distance to universal. The shower fixtures were a little janky and not caulked on. There is no breakfast included and the cafe on site was sub par. There was a large parking lot party the weekend we were there that was pretty rowdy. Overall we were only at the hotel to sleep and took the shuttle to the park. The shuttle doesn’t run late so we had to uber back each evening.
The the room was smaller than it appeared in the advertising pictures. I was assigned to a room that had a connecting room next to it the walls were very thin as far as sound barrier goes! I have never had such an experience, as the conversation from the guest in the next room were as loud as if they were talking right beside me! I spoke to the front desk about getting me assigned to one of the few rooms I noticed that didn't have a connecting room. I was told that they didn't have any available at the time. That was the big negative about the experience of my two night stay there. Needless to say I will not be staying at this hotel again!! 1
For the cost and the closeness to Universal Studios (with the offering of a free shuttle) it worked out great.
Not sure how it's 3 star
Not sure how this is a 3 star hotel. Felt more like a cheap motel. The reception area and little cafe were cute, and the landscaping was nice, but the rooms were not very clean. There was a weird smell, discoloration all over the bathroom sink, and exposed wires in the bathroom. Their idea of "updating" was spray painting the lamps and poorly repainting the walls in what looked like endless layers. One of the rooms keys they gave us didn't work. Should be a 2-star motel.
The property is showing its age, but the staff and are great. The location is also really good with many Orlando attractions close by. I was able to rent an e-scooter to get to most places I wanted to, or just walk.
Indian food inside hotel was amazing!
Rooms were large, and kept very clean. Walkable distance to universal, but there was also a shuttle bus option if need be. Would stay again
It is very convenient to go to Universal studios, microwave in downstairs.
Nice place, liked it. Could use a microwave though.
They had a really nice Indian restaurant that we enjoyed getting lunch at once day.
it's not very luxurious but if it is clean and feels safe, central, I would stay again
Gross!
I would never stay here again. So gross and not clean.
Average hotel . Food menu is mostly Jamaican food
-
Overall i enjoyed my stay, but stuff like locking the guests only direct door into the lobby after a certain time, limiting them to a buzzer (most of the time nobody listens for) so you have to walk around the entire building to walk through the front most of the time. Quite silly, actually.
This hotel says that it is a 6 minute walk to Universal Studios. It is not. Its about 20mins if you walk fast.
Near to Universal
I liked the location, across from universal it was clean and safe, parking was ok bc i went to Halloween universal and at the time it end it and came back there was only one spot and it was hard to find it, i liked my stay at the hotel will i come back yes i would say so.Staff and service, 1-service was quick you could do take out in restaurant la table and friendly, 2-staff were good and friendly but one person with galsses, went to ask him about if the hotel had options for a wheelchair and the guy just did not let me finish putting his hand up in a very rude and uneducated way ,other staff were very friendly and good with service 4/5.
staff was very friendly
Everyone was nice and polite but when I found cockroaches in my room they were very off-putting
This a courtyard style property with several buildings, which I realized on this trip that I don’t feel as safe and comfortable in as a taller, closed in hotel. My building was right next to the highway and you could hear every single car and person walking by. It was just “ok”. If you are a budget travelers and you need a place to put your head down after a long day at the park, go for it. But if you have wiggle room in your budget, there are lots of nicer places. It IS super close and convenient to Universal and has a shuttle.
Great
Great stay
Less than mediocre experience
The people working at the hotel were friendly and accommodating. The room was OK. There were a number of areas in the walls that were patched poorly. It almost looked like there had been water damage and some plaster and paint was put over it. And the caulk looked like it had been patched a number of times. The smell when we entered the room was like a wet dog smell. When we went to bed, only one out of eight pillows didn’t have that smell. I slept without a pillow but when we called the next day they did bring two clean pillows and took the others out of the room. One of the towels was not clean or it was stained. Our room had a door to an adjoining room. Heard a fair amount of the conversation and noise next door. We were tired and they thankfully calmed down by 10 or 11 and we were able to get a decent nights sleep. The hotel really should do something to keep that noise down. It seems to be a thing now but the alarm clock was flashing when we arrived. I thought housekeeping set them before guests arrived but maybe not any more. I would suggest Clarion send an executive to stay and experience what it is like to stay in one of their hotels. It definitely needs to be renovated.
pool hours were good. beds were comfy.
.
Amazing
I really enjoyed being that close to universal but should have a variety of Americanized food. All was great though.
convient to Universal and relatives house
Close to universal
My son and I stayed here for an extended weekend. The room was super clean! It was relatively quiet and pretty close to Universal Orlando. The staff was friendly. I would stay here again!
good location, near Universal parks. The property needs updating. You have to ask for basic things like changing towels or picking up trash, and they don't do it.
convenient location, shuttle to universal is a great convenience.
Always a great experience at this Clarion.
Me and my family have been staying there since 2017. The employees are all ways happy and friendly and willing to help you. The rooms are all ways clean and smell very good. The lobby is very clean and great looking. They have a nice pool area. And it is only a 25min walk to universal.
The lady who checked us in was not very friendly but everyone else we encountered was. Room was very dark and hard to see in and it didnt seem very clean. There were marks the resembled human body fluids on the head board and the tissue box was nasty. There was a plant growing in the sink also. We could also hear the room next to us coughing all night which meant they could hear us as well. Our room was next to the interstate and you could hear the traffic noises all day and night. They did have shuttles to the park and that was nice. There was also a very nice restaurant and bar.
Decent price with free shuttle to universal. Pool and hottub. Tabla thai restaurant is awesome...so good I'd go back just to eat.
The rooms are super clean and confortable bed. Quiet ac units. No mini fridge. Restaurant, a bar plus a souvenir/convenience store on site. The grounds are well kept. We are only staying a night so no time to enjoy the pool or patio. Short driving distance to universal. Will definitely stay again.
Good
Just not a hotel worth the price
great price for a one day trip. access to all parks in minutes.
At night once everything closes you can’t find anything to drink at all. Walls are very thin so you can hear everything outside and next door.
We checked in to avoid hurricane Milton . I was skeptical about the stability of this small hotel ,but I have to say it is a very sturdy structure. It withstood 90 mph winds . I would recommend this hotel to anyone . It was very clean . The only complaint I had was no elevator because I’m older .
