Our flight got canceled and led us to book this hotel. The staff at the reception was very kind to allow us to have the complementary dinner with the booking even thought it was one minute to the end of dinner time slot. We really appreciated her kindness as we have starved for the whole day. Rooms were spacious, bed was huge and comfortable. The Clarion brand seems to be holding up well since we just checked out of a Clarion hotel in another city prior to this. Not to mention that the hotel lobby looks lavish and inviting in the cold winter! Will choose a Clarion in a heartbeat!

Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel is conveniently located close to everything. We just had an issue with the room door which was tricky to close from outside so a few times ended up spending some time there trying to close it. There is a bar across the street so on a weekend night it get's a little noisy if you are sensitive to noise but not too bad that you cannot sleep. Found very convenient to have a charger in the parking garage.

Easy to get to, right in city, ample food offered, and kind staff. Room was sparse, but sufficient enough for a one night stay.

For a senior single woman from Australia I was impressed with the service and the situation of the facility. There was no problem with English which I appreciated given it is a foreign language in Norway. To have a breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, all day tea and coffee plus an evening meal provided with my booking made my stay so much easier and comfortable. Convenient location from which to explore in and around Bodø. Excellent food service to include best breakfast buffet we’ve had during our travels in Norway. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Parking in front of the hotel was easy to line up. Room was large and comfortable.

Overall highly recommend. Bathrooms are small, however. I mean notably a tight fit. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. I'd stay here again. Meals were fine, not remarkable, but for being included, they were fine.

Staff very helpful

This was a great location, just a couple bkocks from the water. Shopling very close. Check in was not available until after 340 one day and we had been waiting since about 1pm. Staff was courteous and helpful. Warning..Steps to get luggage in storage and into out of garage area. The breakfast, sweets hours and dinners were very nice to have for our group of 10. Would return here!

Accommodating pleasant staff. Good location, especially if you're taking the ferry North ... It is a five minute walk, at most. Can easily walk to and from airport, Central bus depot a could of minutes walk. Enjoyed Bodø.

Really old facility. Lights didn’t work

This hotel has to be one of the best value hotels I’ve stayed at in over 50yrs of traveling around the world. Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner are included in the rate and the food was plentiful, varied and good. Staff are kind, patient and very helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of the ferries, train station, pretty harbor area and next to a small shopping mall which includes 2 bakeries and a good supermarket.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered free breakfast, afternoon snack and simple but delicious dinner! However, the room we had was a bit stuffy and dark, layout was a bit odd and the sheets smelled.

One of the best stays ever. The staff are warm and kind. Very clean. The dinner option is a fantastic deal to choose this hotel. Soup, salad, bread, pasta/rice, one other main dish too. The chef went the extra mile to make us vegetarian meal everyday of our stay. The afternoon Fika/snack of cake/pastry was yet another surprise as well. Thr kids loved it. Breakfast options were standard but good as well.

Wonderful hotel. Smart move to include the dinner buffet. On the website it is called a light dinner, but it is anything but lights. Soup, one main course (the two nights we were there chicken) and multiple salads. Breakfast also nice!

Our stay was too short on the way to Tromso. Comfortable room, good beds, with nice aesthetic, good breakfast, good light dinner included in stay. The staff was helpful with problem solving an unrelated situation. Good location. Highly recommended. Would choose this hotel again on a future visit.

Excellent location and extremely helpful staff

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Clarion Collection Hotel Grand Bodø. We arrived at exactly 8pm when the evening meal is supposed to end, but the receptionist ensured we could go and eat before we checked in which was so lovely after a full day travelling. We had a room with a view of the harbour and breakfast the next morning was delicious. We enjoyed the stay so much that we've cancelled our last 2 night stay at a different hotel in Bodø and booked back in at the Clarion instead.

Great location, a warm friendly welcome from staff and an excellent buffet diner that was included in the price. We had to leave for the airport before the breakfast buffet was put-out but staff kindly offered and provided a boxed breakfast to take with us. A great stay that I would do again.

Easy to find, walkable from aiport, ferry and train. Great breakfast selection. Bed was very comfy. Con struction in front of hotel began at 7:30am and was very loud with window open. So closed the window!

Street in front all torn up so access through a mall next door. Parking all full and TINY spaces. Had to park a block away

Nice hotel, good location. Bedrooms would benefit from a refresh for a more modern fewl.

Very convenient location - the Breakfast / small lunch snack/ and Dinner included in price is excellent. Plenty of food to keep you and your family going and more for the day - we walked from train station as we arrived in a few minutes and we walked to the airport on our departure in about 20 minutes .

Relaxing and comfortable stay

Staying in this hotel was lovely and relaxing. The bed was so comfortable, the staff were all great, the food at the breakfast and dinner buffets was tasty and plentiful - they even catered for a vegan with no problems! The hotel is in a perfect location, from where you can walk to everything.

Very friendly and comfortable hotel. Room was very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Several quiet areas to work and wait out the weather.

Does the job - not much more to add. A light supper is provided (soup, main, salad) and breakfast (but I had to leave before this was served - weekends from 8am). Room and bathroom were compact but serviceable. Good location for shops and catching the 100 bus to Narvik.

We appreciated an evening meal included with our room. Parking was not very convenient.

Staff we're excellent, they upgraded us to a queen's size free of charge. Definitely the best bit of are stay was the food. Very well laid out buffet and traditional dishes with the chef present who gave us a lovely warm welcome.

A real gem of a hotel! So much free food!

Lovely hotel in a great central location with a fantastic history and excellent staff. The standout feature is the awesome free breakfast every day, free 24/7 coffee/tea and afternoon cakes in the lounge area and the free 3 course dinner buffet each night! In Norway this is especially generous and the food is tasty, good quality and what healthy options throughout. Really brilliant, such great value indeed!

Thus hotel is outstanding . Excellent location near the railway station and ferry terminal even checking us in at 3 in the morning thanks to Magnus! Excellent hugge and feels warm and cosy. Food was excellent overall. Great variety of foods for breakfast with free hot drinks all day. Loved the fika cake in the afternoon and a bonus evening meal. The best carrot and coconut soup ever! Staff were outstanding. This hotel was recommended and would definitely stay there again. Thank you

Only Place I Will Stay In Bodo

I needed to stay here for 2 months. Once I was in Norway because of COVID and a Norway 10 day quarantine - I needed to get all of my work done at once. During the quarantine, the staff took great care of me, bring food from the breakfast buffet and the evening's light dinner buffet. Absolutely excellent place in Bodo.

1 night was not enough

Very good hotel. Good breakfast, good free evening meal. (Chicken burgers, salad, potatoes) . Good value, good location. Problems with parking because receptionist forgot to activate the card for entry the garage.

For Norway prices the hotel provided good value for the price. Breakfast was good but the restaurant was quite packed.

Disappointing experience

We booked this hotel because we loved our stay at the Bergen’s Clarion, which was perfect. This place is totally different, very small dark rooms for the same price, no view, barely average dinner buffet compared to other places we stayed at. Breakfast was good though. We feel there are much better options in Bodo.

Receptionist un friendly. Probably I had interrupted her during her chatting with her friend and get into her 'bad book". I book through hotel.com as single booking for 2 rooms and requested to have the room near to each other. To facilitate packing of luggages.As we share our items in the luggages between family member. She mentioned that it was 2 separate booking. Hotel.com didin't forward any request. Never even attempted to see whether she could help us to put the 2 rooms on the same floor, she just brush me aside and said fully booked. Disappointed to have such treatment in a beautiful country. We have so good experience in other accomodation in Lofoten, Oslo and Bergen

Good Stay

The ladies at the desk were so kind and helpful. We arrived after 6 pm and were leaving before 8 am, therefore we were able to park right in front of the hotel. Our beds were comfortable with nice clean linen. There was no ac and we had to leave our windows open. The evening meal was good. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, etc. The shower was in a tub that we had to climb into. The shower pressure was really good.

Central and Comfortable Hotel

For my one night stay in Bodo I chose this hotel because of its location in the center of town. It turned out to be a wonderful and friendly place, offering not only free breakfast but also a light dinner buffet. In super expensive Norway saving money on food at any point helps. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet. The Finnish sauna was a great place to relax after a long day of traveling. The front desk staff ware very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone visiting Bodo to give it a shot.

We arrived by train at 530 to a hail storm, this hotel was a quick walk up the hill and by the mall and while initially difficult to find the main entrance was not difficult to find. The lobby was very nice and we were greeted by the office clerk who checked us in and informed us when breakfast would be and that they offer an evening meal free of charge every night as well as coffee, tea and fruit 24/7. Our room was spacious and had nice amenities. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for the two of us and our luggage. While we were only there for one night, we had a lovely stay and would gladly come back to this hotel on future trips to Bodø

Nice Hotel & Friendly service

It was short stop for a trip to near by Lofoten, but we enjoyed staying on the hotel. We tries to reserve it back when we returned from Lotoften. But it was full...unfortunately

Great hotel

We stayed two nights at this hotel, which is well located downtown Bodø. Staff was extremely polite, friendly and professional at the same time. Room was nice and comfy. Breakfast buffet was great. The hotel also offers complementary dinner buffet each time, which was delicious. We would certainly stay at this hotel in the future if you go back to this area.

Good hotel in central location

Reception staff were excellent - friendly and very helpful. Our room was very good - it was a superior room, larger but only a little more expensive than a standard room. A big bonus was that although I'd just booked B & B, the hotel provides a good buffet dinner for residents at no extra charge. Altogether very good value for money in Norway where prices for eating and drinking out seem to be about double the UK's.

Right in the center of Bodo just one street away from the waterfront. Very close to the ferry terminal to Lofoten Islands. Great breakfast.

Not only does the room come with breakfast, but there is a light snack in the late afternoon. Nice to meet and talk with friends.

What you would expect

Clean, comfortable, all the usual amenities except no way to make tea or coffee in the room and no bar frig. I've seen this before in Norway. Some hotels provide jug etc, others don't. Impossible to compare with, for example, Clarion Collection Hotel With (Tromso). But staff exceptionally helpful and friendly.

A great hotel; comfortable room; very good breakfast; make-your-own waffles in the afternoon and very good dinners. Staff are helpful; location is close to everything. Room was comfortable and we had a wonderfully deep bath-tub to soak our tired tourist muscles in! Would stay here again!

Very comfortable and homey

Lot's of sitting areas throughout the hotel. Fresh fruit and coffee/tea available 24/7. Best possible location in the town of Boda. Truly a home away from home. Highly recommend.

A great Grand

Staff personality was super. Giood buffet and very comfortable and well decorated rooms. Mary from the Lofoton Islands was a terrific receptionist with a very helpful attitude. Good wireless access, plenty of electrical outlets. They only have one baggage cart, no valet, and street parking after 6. Definitely the place to stay in Bodo. We will again on our next visit.

Hotellet ligger så sentralt som det er mulig, 4 minutter fra både flyplass og sykehus. Jeg kommer gjerne tilbake!

Helt ok

Hotellet hadde i god plassering i forhold til sentrum. Standarden på rommet var ganske lav. Badet var relativt nyoppusset, men renholdet var så der. Rommet bærer preg av gammelt og slitt. God frokost, men litt dårlig utvalg.

Fantastisk flott Hotell

Struttura datata e camera poco spaziosa, va bene per una notte di passaggio; cena molto ridotta nella scelta e colazione idem. Punto di ricarica a pagamento nonostante ci avessero detto che non lo era (abbiamo poi scoperto che si dovevano utilizzare le colonnine Porsche, peccato ce lo abbiano detto solo dopo aver utilizzato le altre) nessuno ci aveva detto quali fossero a pagamento e quali no.

Hotellet ligger sentral til mer et fint lite hotell spesielt for de som reiser mye. Hotellet er gammelt derfor får det ikke topp score men anbefales.

Sentralt hotell. Meget bra frokost og kveldsbuffe.

Veldig støy på grunn at uteliv på natt. Bør gjøre noe med å få ned støynivået. Det hjelper ikke med lukket vindu. Kommer også kloakklukt på rommet,noe flere av oss opplevde og en måtte kjøpe duftepinner. Ikke bra! Ellers koselig fellesarealer hvor man sitter i sofaer og gode stoler.

God opplevelse

Flott hotell med fine rom, god beliggenhet, god mat og god service. Det eneste var at lyset i taklampen på hotellrommet var altfor svakt; rommet ble altfor mørkt.

Hotel correct d'un bon rapport qualité prix pour la Norvège, en considérant le dîner du soir et le petit déj. La chambre est un peu vieillotte surtout la salle de bain mais les lits confortables. Personnel serviable. Propreté de la chambre à revoir (cheveux, poussière, par terre)

Fint och rent rum. Väldigt liten dusch där det läckte ut vatten i resten av badrummet. Bra kvällsmåltid och frukost. Väldigt bra läge.

Ganske bra. Minus for dårlig framkommelig fra garasje og opp til resepsjon. Burde være heis.

Helt okej för familjer

Rummet var helt okej. Men hotellet kändes trött och det var rätt slitet på sina ställen. Dörrhandtaget på toaletten var trasigt likväl som toalettsitsen sin satt löst. Frukosten var ok men inte mer. Övrig mat var oxå den helt okej. Hade gärna sett alternativ för barn.

Hotelli on erinomainenvaihtoehto, erityisesti siitä syystä, että huomeen hintaan kuului mainio buffetillallinen. Respa palveli erittäin hyvin ja ystävällisesti. Huone oli katutasoss ja suoraan roskiksien takana . Sängyt hieman kovat. Mutt näillä varauksilla aivan mahtava hotelli!
