The pool and spa are great. The staff are warm, friendly and flexible

Felt like i was looked down apon and made to use money on bankcard for deposit on room when i had cash for deposit then to recieve cash deposit back..not use to be treated like that.....

Quiet, convenient and very helpful staff. Lots of walking/hiking opportunities. Would like to see dining facility open more hours.

Good Best Western hotel in Townsville city

The room was a lot smaller than I thought it would be with very few amenities (no toaster, cutlery etc). However, I loved the pool and the spa, and the staff were friendly and approachable.

Saving grace.

The room was quite cramps, mostly due to the fact that there was a small double bed and one single bed, if 3 people were staying there I can’t imagine how crampt it would be, the bathroom was laid out well, shower heat was difficult to control, the pool area was nice and the laundry area was great. Saving grace: the staff were really nice.

Having pondered over several accomodation establishments on the net, I settled on The City Oasis Inn from the reviews of previous patrons. And I wasn't disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff, a room that was freshly decorated, modern, spotlessly clean and quiet - with well insulated walls. Modern air con and not the noisy old type meant less noise too. Coupled with a super comfy bed and pillows made my stay in Townsville all the better. So much so, that I extended my stay by several days, predominantly because the room was so good, giving me more opportunity to explore Townsville. The location is an easy walk to both the CBD with its wealth of bars, shops and eateries, and the fabulous Strand for the lazy days by the beach.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful.

Big fan of almost everything. Got me in at midnight when another placed valued me. The shower was a bit cramped but if that's my biggest drama in life, I'm set. Thanks guy.

Arrived earlier than expected. Room was ready and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Facilities are a bit dated but the location is conveniently located to the stadium.

Staff is very understanding and friendly. I was upgraded to an executive suite with a kitchen, because i stayed for three weeks for work. Very meticulous housekeeping service. Apart from a couple of days with noises from neighboring guests, it was generally very quiet. The only disadvantage is the absence of a lift. I struggled a little to move my luggage up and down the flights of stairs.

We only stayed one night with our little dog but the unit was clean and airy. There were lawn areas which were private where we could play ball with the dog. Management and staff were very helpful. We will stay there again.....

Perfect place for our vacation. Close to the Townsville CBD and walkable to many places we were attracted to when planning our stay.

Receptionist was lovely especially considering I arrived 5 minutes before the doors were due to close. Easy walk to get food and/or shop at Woolworths. Clean.

Family room was great! Our kids loved the bunk beds. Super helpful staff. Very clean. The pool is amazing and really is an Oasis in the city. Would 10/10 recommend to families travelling with younger kids.

Lovely clean room which was in a great location and really good value for money. We had a late check in but the process for collecting our room key was really good and clear instructions were left for accessing our room (which was much appreciated as we arrived in the dark!) - overall great stay

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful and clean

The amenities were great, staff were helpful. The room was big enough for two adults and 3 teenagers and the beds were really comfy. We ran out of toilet paper and tissues, only one roll supplied. I had to run to the chemist for more as no staff around to help. Otherwise a great short stay and would happily stay again. Many thanks

The room was great with good cooking facilities, especially the non-stick pans. It was good to see the older part of town and access to the accommodation was fine. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and make us comfortable.

It was close to everything and the pool looked amazing - arrived too late for that swim!

After a very long drive from Brisbane via some fairly basic motels, City Oasis was a welcome and pleasing stop. Comfortable, clean and with the small touches needed to make the stay enjoyable. I woke feeling refreshed.

Very nice pool corner, in the shade of palmtrees. Much appreciated when warmth is overwhelming. Clean unit. Micro wave and toaster in room would be welcome. A short stroll from downtown and the Strand. Free carpark. Friendly staff Good value for money.

One of the nicest swimming pools we saw, a true Oasis. Staff went above and beyond to meet our needs.

Friendly, helpful staff, pool and surrounds shaded all day, easy walk to plenty of eateries and waterfront parkland. Must see is the Tropical Museum, full of interesting interactive displays/activities for both kids and adults, it's very impressive. Comfortable bed, large clean bathroom. Pool towels at office.

I loved the lagoon pool. It was Ol and refreshing after a long trip. Would stay again if in the area.

The bath room and toilet were tiny. The blankets were too thin The sheets were not clean Overall, very poor...in hindsight...you get what you pay for

Noisy when outside stairs were being used. Dark inside.

Excellent customer service. The first night I found a used snack bag in sheets, the bed had been made over the top of it. When I reported it new sheets were quickly placed on the bed to fix the issue. The rooms upstairs were nicer than the one I had on the ground floor the first night.

Just overnight in Townsville so very handy to everything. Great street party as well on Friday night

The lights are on but no one is at home

I stayed for 3 days and barely saw a member of staff. Someone serviced the room after 2 days, reception was almost permanently closed, another guest said it felt as if we had been abandoned. The attached restaurant was shut after the first evening, when I went that ot that night there were 2 lonely people having a meal. I appreciate this was the long Easter weekend but it felt very odd. The room was adequate, the WiFi password was only for 24 hours, after that every time I logged on I had to resign in. The best thing was the location, a short distance from the Main Street of Townsville

Well laid out rooms with a small kitchen. Fridge was not cold enough and freezer didn’t freeze. Great location. I apologise for my grandchildren’s misbehaviour.

Beautiful pool! Shower pressure is awesome. Kettle for tea and coffee provided. Personally would have liked a microwave as we had food to heat. Laundry facilities were good. Staff friendly. Yummy restaurant for breakkie and coffee.

Nice and Comfortable

We stayed for only 1 night and it was a nice and comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Continental breakfast is ideal for a quick and healthy bite. Location is good. Nothing to complain about.
