The location and style of the hotel were top notch

Very comfortable beds!

Had to put our card in the light box to turn on electric, makes it hard to charge devices unless you are in the room. No USB outlets, but the desk clerk loaned me one.

Cute place on cute street close to sites/ metro.

Thankful they do luggage storage for early arrivals. Staff is very helpful and caring. Nice ladders for top bunks and large lockers in the room. They provide usb for each bed, however mine did not work.

I cant recommend staying at a better place. The rooms are lovely, great ambience, always an evening event, if you want to socialise. Friendly staff. The restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. I will stay again next time im in Athens.

Great location. Loved our room with a view of the Acropolis. Staff were super helpful and friendly. One night even had happy hour for guests with free wine. The restaurant attached is delicious as well!

Only place to stop in Athens

Great hostel with rooftop view of acropolis!

We had a great stay! The rooms were large, clean, and the AC worked well. We were in an area where multiple people warned us to not walk alone at night (we are two women). The staff didn’t let us check in until 3pm, but the initial email had said check in was 2pm. I wished they would’ve offered to let us shower in a public washroom since the check in time we were told wasn’t accurate. Otherwise, everything was great. There’s an incredible view on the top deck too of the acropolis.

Staff was SO FRIENDLY. Spaces were very clean and full of information about local areas. I loved the daily themed events they had to bring the residents together and the location is perfect for an Athens adventure

The staff were fabulous, and the general atmosphere was good. It was clean. The shower was hot with good water pressure, but lacked enough bench space for your belongings. Wifi was excellent. It was close to the metro, and easy walking distance to most sites. Lots of restaurants nearby. It was a little noisy at night, as there is a bit of street noise (double glazing on the windows). The airconditioning was unfortunately fixed at 24 degrees, which was tòo hot to sleep comfortably, so people kept opening the windows, which let the noise in.

Fantastic Front Desk Staff with so much knowledge to share with you about the city. Clean Restrooms and Good Wifi make this a fantastic selection for your stay in Athens. The local attractions are within walking distance and the main center is just blocks away!

I had such a wonderful experience for my first time traveling alone at all. The staff (Especially Maria) made my experience even better by displaying and exhibiting such kindness towards me that I will definitely stay here again in the future. I recommend this to everyone.

Awesome Hostel

The hostel was pretty cool. The staff was amazing and so nice. The room was good, too, with plenty of locker space. The only thing was that my bed was super old and it sunk when you slept on it. But the location was awesome and everything around was great.

Not just for 20-something’s!

Love City Circus! Lots of ages of travelers and families. Not just a young party going hostel. I stayed in the loft room and a female dorm. Both were wonderful. Dorm was great for meeting new best friends. Go to the nightly events at Zampanó. It’s great food and the best way to meet friends. Would highly recommend and will stay there when traveling through Athens again.

I loved staying at the hostel. It’s very very clean and everyone is very friendly. Theirs even an amazing Resturant inside the hostel. At night it’s such a fancy restaurant with really great amazing food. And you even get a discount for eating their if your a guest. If I come back to Greece these hostel will be the place I will return to stay.

We didn't get to spend much time at all here, which was a shame! It's a gorgeous property, with a lovely staff that's very helpful and ready to accommodate all of their guests. The part of town City Circus Athens is located in is a little sketchy, I would be careful at night and not really loiter on the street, but the property itself is clean, well-managed, and quiet.

As a single traveler, I really enjoyed staying in the City Circus. Staff were kind and helpful! Its also the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed (they have super comfy mattresses 😊). I would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends and family.

Though the room was an 8 bed dorm, it was split into two areas so it didn't feel like you had so many people in your space. The property has amazing social spaces -lounge plus free wine in the evenings which made it really easy to meet people. The rooftop is amazing, you can see the Acropolis! The staff was SO friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make you feel at home. The dorm was very clean and the beds comfy, too. Great spot for solo travelers!

Whenever I travel to Athens, City Circus hostel is my first and only choice. I have stayed there many times, in dorms or private rooms, and the experience has always been wonderful. The hostel is beautifully decorated, remarkably clean and most importantly, it has a soul that travellers look for when staying in hostels. The common area offers a great space to meet other travellers and what I really appreciate is their non-stop efforts to give their guests something extra: from organizing different thematic events to offering a wide range of sightseeing trips (April-October). A big plus is also the most amazing restaurant Zampanó, located in the same building and run by the same owners, where you can have the most delicious breakfast, brunch or dinner, while enjoying the very unique atmosphere. Last but not least, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Dear future guest of the City Circus hostel, please disregard the “hostile” comment from the Spanish speaking commenter, as he/she doesn’t give any constructive explanation on the supposedly “bad” experience and one can clearly notice that the 1 star was given only by some personal and resentful reasons.

I have stayed at a few different hostels across Europe over the years and City Circus is hands down one the nicest hostels I've ever stayed at! We had a single room to ourselves that was comfortable, well decorated, very clean, well maintained, and even had a view of the Acropolis. I honestly forgot a few times that we were staying in a hostel and not a hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed anything. They also have a restaurant attached to the hostel that had live music and the food was excellent. I cannot recommend staying at this hostel more and I will definitely be staying there again.

アテネの市街地に近く、非常にアクセスが良かったです。ベッドも清潔でした。 また、スタッフのサービスが非常に充実していました。 シャワーの温度だけぬるかったですが、それ以外は全く問題なかったです。

I had a wonderful stay in the City Circus Hostel ! The place is really well located, you are able to enjoy all of the citie's treasures by feet. The rooms and common parts are clean, the lockers in the dorms are big, and it's possible to get a really good vegan/ vegetarian breakfast ! Special mention to Tryphon (or Triphon), who welcomed me, and helped me a lot during my stay (it was my first destination in Greece) ! Thank you, and go on with those professional and human qualities :D

Overall very good

I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness and staff friendliness. But I remove 1 point for a bedbug that I woke up to crawling on bedsheet in front of me. Such a bummer because I was so happy with the hostel. Although it was only 1 (I hope). All the rest was fantastic, there is a nice terrace with the view on acropolis. Also close to the center.
