Great location, 10 minutes walk form town centre and cathedral. Family accommodation for reasonable price (one room, sleeps five, en suite). Free parking, but separate to accommodation and awkward to get to without advanced info (would have been good to have parking details in advance). Otherwise, a great stop-off near A26 en route to more southerly destinations.

Variety of bed options from bed in dorm to singles, couples & plus. Very good location close to tram stop which runs the short distance to the train station (although easy enough to walk) in one direction and to the TGV station (20 mins ride) in the other. Cathedral, information centre a pleasant walk maybe 10-15 min. Staff friendly, well run and continental breakfast coffee (& other hot drinks) bread, jam, fresh fruit, yogurt - outside terrace & inside seating -nothing to complain about. Clean very competitive value for money - big group when I was there so I had a room with one bunk bed & single to myself, with ensuite.

Great hostel in a nice park. Very close to stadiums. Breakfast is modest, very continental. Rooms are spartan, but ours had a bathroom in it. Not much parking close by. The locals seem to park between planters on bridges.

The evening reception team were indifferent and brusque and offered no help in finding a car park. The morning team were cheerful and friendly; breakfast was excellent value. Our room was spartan but clean and comfortable with decent storage.

Great hostel close to town

The hostel did not look great from outside and there were some works going on outside, but once we were in, our family of five (two adults, children 3, 7, 9) were very well welcomed by the friendly staff on the front desk. We had a room with 5 beds to share, with en suite bathroom (pod-style) Everything was in order and clean, the corridors very acceptable for a hostel, plain and simple. The games on offer in the foyer areas looked good. Break fast, for just under 5 euros, was the real highlight, it was very good with a nice choice of continental-style options. You just help yourself. The atmosphere was quiet but not too calm. lots of families, some groups of young men and a few bikers, everyone seemed nice. We walked into town in about 10 mins by following the tramlines. We parked at the sports stadium carpark opposite the hostel - and although it seemed like the kind of place a car might get broken into over night, all was fine. A real bonus of the hostel was the staff and the relaxed atmosphere, highly recommended if you are travelling as a family

Brilliant staff

The hostel was quite basic but had everything we needed and the staff were amazing, so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was again quite basic, but did the job and the booking was great value in a good central location. Would definitely recommend.

Not so great

Parking was confusing and there were few spots. There were many skeptical people surrounding the immediate hotel premises and several drunk people approached us walking to the car. The room was small, quite dumpy, and we got misquoto bites. The bathroom is sort of like an airplane bathroon. You must make the beds yourself because they do not do it for you (blanket and sheets). Check out is 10 am. However the staff was nice and there are laundry facilities!

Good overnight stop especially for families.

Central location with 24 hour desk make this a good choice for delayed or late arrivals. Good buffet breakfast and convenient parking nearby.

A nice Hostel

It is a hostel and thus the rooms are like uni dorms. The beds are comfortable and the linens were great. The breakfast was OK very basic.

Exceeded expectations, great place.

I am a budget traveler, spending the summer in Europe. Stayed two night in Reims on a whim, the hotel/hostel exceeded my expectations. The place is close to the tram and boss stop, allowed for easy access to the entire city without the need of a car. The staff were very cordial and friend,y, giving me tips in places they preferred to eat, and grab a drink. The grounds are well maintained, and it feels more like a hotel than a hostel. It has interesting architecture. I hope to come back to Reims, and am planning on staying at the hotel again, would recommend it in a heartbeat

Bathroom small, but pleased that we could get a family room for five with private facilities in a hostel. Choice of breakfast foods good. Not the most attractive of buildings and basic facilities, but room and bedding clean. Parking not on site but free parking only a short walk away. Reception staff helpful. Good location for motorway, and center of Reims. Ideal for just a nights stay.

Clean, quiet & comfortable!

Fantastic place to stay in Reims! I had a single room, advertised as with a 'shared bathroom', but it's only the toilets that are shared (very clean with heaps of cubicles so no problem there) as there was both a sink and shower in the room. The staff were pleasant and helpful (all speak English) and the included breakfast buffet had a great selection: cereal, bread with jam, yogurt, fresh fruit + juice, tea and coffee. It was a nice surprise to also have a common kitchen to cook my own meals (stove and microwave, pans and utensils included). Definitely recommend.

Stop off hotel

I can't fault the staff, both incredibly helpful on the phone and in person. We were extremely late arriving and they guided us in as we couldn't find the hotel parking... long journey and over tired.. thats just the adults!The room was a basic hostel style room, but it was clean. We were two adults and three kids on a stop over on our way to south of france, and for £68 for the room and breakfast I can't fault it.

Basic

This was good value but extremely basic accommodation. The room was quite stuffy and whilst the bedding seemed clean enough there was overall a very stale smell. On the upside the location is convenient for leaving and re-joining the motorway network and well situated for the stadium and central Reims.

Friendly and helpful staff, no parking, 5 min walk to city centre, loved the cathedral. Small room, shower and basin but no toilet (it's a hostel, what did I expect?)

Great budget hotel for families

Perfect for a budget hotel and families as you can all share a room. Difficult I found to find hotels that allowed more than 3 in a room. Included breakfast too which was very good.

Ok if you are used to no comforts!

I appreciate that it is a hostel. However, we stayed in the Hotel Kyriad in Torcy for exactly the same money, and had luxury in comparison to the Cis De Champagne.

France-Serbia

I stayed in this hostel so I could go to the France-Serbia Euro 2012 warmup game and let me tell you, the location couldn't have been any closer to the stadium, the window in my room opened up with a great view of the stadium which was a 2 minute walk across the street. The hostel was clean but the phone didn't work and the staff didn't seem to care, I found that distressing considering its a hostel with guests from around the world who may need to make an emergency call or two. Overall, I would say that it is acceptable for a short stay in Reims

Vandrarvänligt ställe i Reims

Cis ligger väldigt bra i Reims, mycket nära vägen till Santiago de Compostela. Snabbt och lätt att hitta för att komma iväg på vandring. Det är mer vandrarhem än hotell, enkelt, prisvärt. Frukostarna är inget att hurra för men det är de aldrig i Frankrike. Centralt och gångavstånd till katedralen och centrum med restauranger och service.

Prima om 1 nachtje te verblijven, maar bedden zijn een beetje hard en de kamer kan wel wat onderhoud gebruiken. Het personeel is heel erg vriendelijk.

Auberge dans le centre de Reims à une dizaine minutes de la gare SNCF. Pas de parking dans l'enceinte, dommage par rapport à la description. Chambre bruyante par l'insonorisation et la non présence de frein de porte, ce qui devient un vrai cauchemar pour dormir. De plus, lors de mon séjour il y avait beaucoup de jeunes à mon étage, donc des jeux/déplacements inombrables ==> BRUIT. Petit déjeuner très simple sans lait froid, ni viennoiserie/plats chauds.

Das Zimmer war sauber und für eine Einzelperson geräumig, es gibt eine Nasszelle mit Waschbecken und Dusche im Zimmer, Toiletten auf dem Gang. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, in der Gemeinschaftsküche zu kochen. Parkplätze in der Nähe sind vorhanden und man ist sehr schnell zu Fuß im Stadtzentrum. Empfehlenswert!

Gute "Jugendherberge"

Wir hatten ein Zimmer (Nr. 405) mit 2 Betten und einer Nasszelle (Dusche, Waschbecken & WC). Es gab Handtücher und Bettwäsche. Das Frühstück war absolut korrekt: Baguette, Joghurt, Obst, Kaffee aus dem Automaten, Butter & Honig / Marmelade. Wir hätten uns im Zimmer mehr Wandhaken und Steckdosen gewünscht. ;-)

Accès facile et rapide de l'hôtel en venant de Paris par A4. Bien situé à proximité du Parc Léo Lagrange et à 10 minutes à pied du centre ville. Très bon accueil et confortable. Parking du Stade de Reims gratuit et en face. A retenir pour les prochains séjours.

Das Hostel Cis de Champagne ist zu empfehlen.Vom Bahnhof aus ist man in ca 20 Minuten zu Fuss im Hostel.Es wird wie eine gute Jugend-oder Wanderherberge geführt,das Personal ist höflich,die Atmosphaere tolerant,weltoffen.Alles sehr sauber und hell.Es gibt Regeln wie zb kein Alkohol oder kein Rauchen im Haus da viele Schülergruppen hierherkommen.Man fühlt sich in der Herbertge wohl.daneben gibt es ein Stadttheater und unweit des Hostels sind Restaurants.die Altstadt mit Kathedrale ist sehr nah gelegen.İnsgesamt sehr nett.

C'est un Centre de séjour intéressant pour jeunes en sac à dos et équipes sportives. Pour le prix pour 5, c'est imbattable, mais il ne faut pas s'attendre à qq chose de fabuleux. Tout aurait pu être ok, si notre chambre n'avait pas été envahie par une odeur nauséabonde provenant des toilettes. Cela a gâché ma nuit et séjour, et même le prix ne justifie pas cela. J'ose espérer que nous étions tombés sur la mauvaise chambre et que ce problème n'est pas généralisé. Nous aurions apprécié un peu de flexibilité car on nous à bloqué l'accès au pdj à 10h02 même pour un café...

Stadtnahe Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt zu Fuß oder mit der Straßenbahn, direkt an der Stadtautobahn; günstiges Zimmer; eigene Parkplätze gibt es nicht, das Auto muss gegenüber auf den Parkplatz des Stadions gestellt werden; Zimmer war ok, auch wenn die Nasszelle eher der einer Schiffskajüte glich; das Personal an der Rezeption konnte zwar durchaus Auskunft geben, tat dies aber eher widerwillig; das Frühstück war mehr als bescheiden: äußerst dürftiges Angebot, dünne Plörre statt Heißgetränk, Teller gab es erst gar nicht; würde das Hotel deshalb nicht wieder buchen.

Toll, dass es Fünfer-Zimmer gibt. Das Frühstück war etwas spartanisch. Lage toll, da Kathedrale fussläufig erreichbar ist.

Réservation de dernière minute via mon smart phone. Très efficace. Accueil au CIS très cordiale. Chambre sobre et très propre. Nous avons passe une très bonne soirée en amoureux. Le petit déjeuner est très simple mais vu le prix payé il ne faut pas être exigent. Je te commande vivement cet établissement.

Le personnel était très agréable, la chambre était bien pour son prix peut-être un manque d'isolation entre les chambres mais on ne peut pas avoir tout avoir vu les prix proposés. Petit-déjeuner très bien, l'infrastructure aussi.

etape sur Reims; établissement bien placé pour découvrir la ville mais: pas de parking, auberge de jeunesse plus qu'un hôtel, du coup très bruyant du fait des groupes... Chambre sommaire, matelas trop mou...Confort minimum suffisant pour une étape...par contre, très bon accueil des équipes !

Cette réservation était purement pratique, je n'y ai passé qu'une nuit car je devais voir un spectacle au théâtre situé juste en face. J'y ai trouvé tout ce qu'il me fallait: une chambre (privée) à bas prix, propre, confortable. Les toilettes étaient partagés mais je les avais juste à ma porte et les ai trouvés très propres. Le personnel a été très accueillant et serviable. Le petit déjeuner était inclus. En comparaison de bien d'autres auberges que j'ai pu visiter, celle-ci me semble très bien.
