The shower head didn’t work properly and sprayed water unevenly, and the staff weren’t particularly friendly.

Very old building and falling apart. Grounds were unkept and left to weeds. We were put on the top floor and stairs were kinda dicey. Wouldn't stay here again. Maybe time to do a full upgrade.

Room was stuffy smell. It is what you pay for. Having to check in at another hotel was a pain in the ass. Wish we were asked for an upgrade

Really enjoyed the room and our stay at the Cedar Motel. Its just a little ways from the main hotel where you can swim, but theres a lot of little shops to see along the way. The restaurant there attached to the main building is great.

Very low end hotel. Properties on either side abandoned, no towel bars in bathroom, not counter space, no heat (I was told there was a heat button on the air conditioner, but it was wall mounted and no place to plug it in), quilt lumpy, bed uncomfortable. Amenities like pool at parent hotel across town. Not at all the accommodations I thought I had booked.

I had a nice private room with comfortable and adequate linens. I like the association with The Prestige so I use the pool and the hot tub. The room was clean and comfortable.

Being at the end of downtown off of the hi-way it was surprisingly quiet . There is no front desk here so you’d have to call the other hotel and they always answer phone calls or drive a few blocks . You get what you pay for and it was a good price and with a kitchenette it was decent .

The secluded almost deadend street gave us a quite zone with only traffic being on the highway up above. Close to everything needed groceries gas food beverages

The place was ok. Needed a bit of upkeep and updating but it looks like it will be done at a later date. But over all it was a good stay and was clean room.

I barely slept. I was on the ground floor and it sounded like there was someone above us moving furniture all night. The walls are paper thin. I would definitely not stay there again and paid wayyyy too much money for a terrible sleep.

Great stay! Much much much better than staying in Banff with thousands of other people. Most affordable place in Radium Hot Springs, and pretty good!

One of the staff was kind of rude and a little odd. Motel smelt like smoke and not much for soaps or coffee stuff. Had to go across town to check in and restaurant was expensive for what you get. No kitchenette in the room. Nice to have 2 rooms but tv in both rooms would have been nice.

Good location

Nice convenient location. Close to grocery store. Good to have the kitchen with necessary pots, plates and bowls. Have to check in and out at Prestige Hotel down the road, and can use gym and pool at Prestige too.

The motel was clean. It was only a little inconvenient to have to check in at another hotel, but it wasn’t too far away.

The room was adequate for what we paid,the motel is old and dated,the outside areas could be tidied up,needed bath mat for shower as bathtub was slippery,the bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable

Rocky Mountain Road Trip

The Cedar Motel is an older motel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There wasn't any on-site staff and we had to check in at a different hotel on the other end of town. Our main complaint was that there wasn't any ice available.

pretty obviously this motel is merely a revenue property. No on site staff or front desk ( check in is at another hotel down the road). While the room was clean, there is very poor water pressure, there are definite electrical problems ( when the A/C kicked in, all the lights dimmed and flickered), the bed is OK, but not enough so to be called 'comfortable'. The room, again, is clean, but in need of updating, fixtures and finishes appear to be holdovers from the early 80's. It is in good repair, but the price is a bit of a stretch, IMO. It felt safe, and was fairly quiet. I would stay here again if I had to, but would prefer a newer property if available.

2 rooms and only one TV. Air conditioner struggled to cool both rooms. Shower that changed temperature when someone else either turned on water or flushed toilet in the building. Inadequate parking. Along this for $200 per night is absolutely pitiful. Would never stay here again nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

Air conditioner was only big enough for the bed room. Had to keep it on all night. Otherwise very clean place

Radium stay

The room cost a lot more than the price I was given when I reserved it. Won’t stay again.

Room smelled weird, Check-In was not in the same building. Electrical was a problem.

Great Motel!

What a great motel! The rooms actually have cedar walls, were clean, comfortable and I loved the little table and chairs and flowers outside the door of each room. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the hassle of going to a different hotel to checkin.

Won’t stay again

It was a place to have a shower and lay my head after a long hot day on a motorcycle. The check in takes place at another hotel about 5 blocks away. There are no staff at this location.

The reservation indicated, after booking, that we had to checkin at another hotel. I assumed this would be close to the vicinity where we would be staying, however, this was at least a 15 to 20 minute walk. On check in we were advised we could use the facilities in the checkin hotel, but this was not ideal if using pool/hot tub etc. All in all, the place we stayed was clean, but feel that having an attendance on site, would help make occupants feel better for sure.

The wildlife was right there.

Moneyworth

The property was clean, well maintained. Convenient location. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the sundeck. Staff at the Prestige Hotel we friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it was great, I would definitely book a room there again.

Weekend getaway

We rented two rooms, everyone agrees the beds were comfortable, which is high in our list. One room was a king size bed. The room had included two queen size beds and was divided by a room and even had a kitchenette. Will stay here again.

DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES or even anything not so valuable in the rooms when you stay here, same difference.. the cleaning staff will steal either. This is more geared towards the Cedars(which is owned by the prestige) but I definitely won’t be staying at either after this past experience, plus the owner won’t reply when you review anything on the Cedars. I’ve been coming to The Colombia valley for 20 years and stayed at this sh*thole for the first time on my way out to Golden. Stay anywhere else but here. Trust me. I was going to leave a good review if this didn’t happen.

This property is older and has no staff nor amenities besides an old bbq out back. Check in is at another property. If basic is okay with you it does the trick.

FANTASTIC STAY!

Exceeded expectations! We stayed at the Cedar Motel for the Columbia Valley car show 2023. LOVED IT! Check in was easy at the Prestige Inn. Card key worked awesome (wave worked way better than inserting card at other hotels). Room was nicely updated & clean!! 2 queen beds (one in it's own bedroom) both very comfortable! Cute white kitchen with ceramic stove top, little fridge, own sink. Well stocked with dishes & cutlery. Excellent location for car show, no noise at night! Ample parking. Even though no staff on site, someone came by in the morning to replenish towels etc. Fantastic value for price! Will be back!!

The room was in great need of renovation. The tub looked dirty and we had to plug the air-conditioned in the bathroom.You can hear the people walking around on the balcony and whatever was going on in the next room.The bed was very comfortable and I liked the location. I probably wouldn't book at this motel again.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Cedar Motel. You have to check in/out at the Prestige Hotel up the road and they are your “front desk” if you need anything during your stay. Room was clean, had fridge/microwave/coffee machine. Housekeeping daily, and you can use the amenities (gym, pool, restaurant) of the Prestige Hotel. Hot Springs close by, lots more food options at Invermere 15 mins away but some options in town too. 1.5 hrs drive to Banff and lots of hikes in Kootenay National park the whole way there.

Not much to add. A little noisy upstairs.

Nice place to stay affordable price

It is beside a busy highway so quite noisy, otherwise fine.

Property was clean and close. No office so, can't comment on staff. The AC worked really well. Only thing I would say is to clean the BBQs.

The beds were very comfy and everything was clean and great. Just wish as three women traveling alone that the door had a deadlock.

Fine for a night and the price

Great little motel located on the main road and residential area. We stayed in a double queen with kitchenette. The motel is owned by Prestige hotels down the street. They have 24-hour check-in, which was great because we arrived late. The kitchenette was missing a few things, and the hotel attendant brought them to us even though it was very late. Walking distance to restaurants and there are also two restaurants on-site, which we didn't try. You can use the pool and hot tub at the Prestige hotel. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Very clean. Updated bathrooms. Rustic but nice. Maid service came to change our towels and replenish coffee when we were out. Great value. Would definitely stay there again. Quiet.

Small rooms

This motel was absolutely adorable. Very clean, comfortable beds, air conditioned. It's retro, and I am here for it. Cheaper by about $100 than any other accommodations in the area. There are no staff on site, but you check in at the Prestige hotel right down the street, and have access to all of their amenities including the pool and gym. 10/10 would stay again!

The room on this property was dirty,the lighting was almost none existent,some of the work being done on room was not finished and the area outside the room was filthy for the money this place was a ripoff.I would not recommend this place to anyone.If we would have had an alternate place to go to we would have gone.There were also spiders in the room not a pleasant experience and also the place smelled old and toxic.And last thing if you are old or handy capped this place has no elevator to second floor. It's a Pleasant motel on the edge of town. They have a problem with the wiring in the room and advise that you not have too many things plugged in at the same time. Anytime you have time to print and laminate a notice saying you have a problem you've taken too much time to solve it. Letting people know you are "aware of the problem" only says that you're too cheap to fix it and you don't want to hear any more complaints.

No where in add it says you have to drive across town to check in at a different hotel . Then you have to drive back across town to check in . Staff at check in hotel was hostel towards me on phone . Road in from mountains and WAS NOT READY FOR THIS GONG SHOW .

Property is along side highway, building is old and run down. Units don’t match pictures. Floor is thin above occupancy is loud on floor. No check in on site you need to go to another hotel to check in and drive back to your hotel. Price too high for lower quality.

Screwy check-in process; drive to nice resort, retrieve keys to the crappy old motel down the street. No staff on site. Nice flowers in the hanging baskets outside! Rooms and furnishings are very old. Clean, but old old old. No ice or vending on-site???

Noise need of update paint electrical bed uncomfortable

We really appreciated the use of the pool at the Prestige, which was located a couple of short blocks away from the Cedars. Our room was small but it was clean and had a fridge, microwave and table and chairs. The king sized bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but newly renovated. On the downside, the fan cord ran into the bathroom so you had to unplug it in order to close the door. Outside around the back of the building were barbecues along with tables and chairs. But these looked dirty and not in use. It would be so easy to make this into a nice summer outside eating area. I’d come back because of the low price, the pool and location.

Waited for over an hour for someone to delivery toilet paper,as there was not a spare in the room, other than that, it was ok

It was hard to find someone to help figure out our rooms. Prestige Hotel helped us out a lot. We will not book on line again.

Soft bed, Clean

Checking in happened in a different location, 2 minutes away by car, which is strange, but okay. The room could be a little more spacious, but it was very clean and well equipped.

The deck area where the barbecues are was not cleaned for a while when we wanted to use it. None of the 3 barbecues worked. Very disappointing. Onthe bottom of the stairs was some wild animal waste and noone swept it at all. Ovearll the outside does not look to clean

I like the motel because it is newely renovated and well mainteined, with a lot of taste. I have been there before and I will go again

The shower wasn't clean. We found hairs from whoever last used the shower. They were dark hairs, so it was unlikely they were just accidentally missed. If the shower isn't clean, I can't help but wonder what else was dirty but wasn't as obvious. A lesser complaint is that the room was an oven when we walked in (~28C), and the AC took a long time to cool it down. I wish they had kept the blinds closed to keep the temperature down.

The hotel was dirty and smelled unclean, tuck tape on ceiling possibly holding things together, breaker blew and no power, hotel staff did get it going soon after. Was a little bit of a pain having to check in at another hotel blocks away. I was to stay 2 night but ended up leaving after 1 st night because of uncleanlinesses (but still had to pay both nights). Disappointed to say the least.

The power is not stable. The jump tripped very frequently. That makes the AC functioning so poor (Don't turn to medium/high cool!:(）That room is not bright enough.

Radium and area was beautiful. The motel was a far cry from the pictures shown on the site.

The pictures of the rooms on the website are extremely outdated. My room size would not even accommodate the chairs with foot stools furnished in the room. The air conditioner was a window unit that was installed in the closet by cutting a hole in the wall and you have to run the cord into the bathroom and plug into the ground fault outlet. All the lights in the room go out and then come back dim every time the a/c kicks in. Floors are wood so I was woken up at midnight when the guests in the room above me came in, moved furniture around and entertained one another for the next hour.

Only problem is on the last day when you’re supposed to leave your keys were deactivated before 7 am was very frustrating to be locked out and you had to 11 o’clock

Liked the back patio. Disliked the tree right in front of our door and the loud air conditioner that needed to be plugged into an outlet in the bathroom, so that door couldn't be closed.

The room power kept on tripped. Good thing is they moved me to other hotel which was much better

It was very nice so nice we stayed a extra night had to change rooms front desk was great in letting us put our things in room early cozy rooms would highly recommend stay here if in Radium Springs I know we will be back thanks to the staff made it all better to be there

The Motel was nice and is walkable to various restaurants and stores within Radium. The Motel is also within 30mins of various golf courses, trails, and other activities (i.e. zip line, rafting). The room was nice and the air conditioner worked well to keep the room cool on a 30C plus day. The website said the rooms would be cleaned daily, but our room was not. taying at the Cedar also allows you to use the amenities at the Prestige which was a benefit.
