Nice to look at but that’s it

The staff were friendly and helpful. The car park is muddy and a good walk up a hill from the hotel. The inside of my car and boots are filthy from the thick clay mud of the car park. The rooms are so hot, it’s unbearable. The quality of sleep that we had was poor.

Castle Mintaldo

The hotel was rather dark and run down. The restaurant on premises for dinner was very disappointed. My fish entree lad a lump of skin on top when served and I ended up with a small fish bone lodged in my throat.

It's just a beautifully situated place. That was enough for us. And the on-site Enoteca restaurant was superb. Oh, and the eclectic design choices are a hoot.

Lovely building that looks stunning from the outside. However when you get inside the bedroom they do not keep in with the same period. It looks like someone has popped to IKEA and purchased a lot of modern furniture. The breakfast was good. The gym was quite tired, the pool, sauna and hot tub seemed to be ok.

The staff barelly speaks any english and does little to help The rooms where full of bugs, the staff sugestion : turn the lights of so the bugs go to sleep,or we were given a tall broom to do it ourselfs. During the day the rooms where too hot, the AC wasnt working. Staff says its because its winter already. During the night the rooms were freezing cold, the staff saya they cant do anything. Breakfast had a couple savory options,if you want salmonella. The eggs sit there from begining to the end of the breakfast service. Tvs in the suite dont work, the only solution provided was new batteries to the remote. Tried to speak to management for 3 days straight but somehow he was always on meetings. Still waiting for the promised call back.

Stunning hotel

Super friendly staff from housekeepers, receptionists, waiters to Gm. really beautiful hotel on stunning location. Clean, spacious, nice breakfast with an excellent variety.

Unique location, fascinating building. Understaffed, missing basic amentit in the room (bathrobe, hairdryer), dining overpriced with shortcomings.

Loud wedding venue with rooms.

It looks nice from the outside but the quality isn’t there. The spa is a bit old, didn’t look super clean, outdoor tubs not hot. There are constantly weddings blasting Enrique Iglesias until midnight, even on a Monday. Design is very “Ukrainian oligarch realness.” Ordered room service and it never came, had to go to the front desk twice to inquire. To their credit, breakfast was fine. This is not a hotel, it’s a wedding venue with rooms.

Un po' di cose da sistemare

Asciugacapelli non funzionante, stanza attaccata all'ascensore di servizio (quindi si sentiva un po' di casino), bagno doccia toglierei il miscelatore a doccino e migliorerei questo aspetto, sala buffet colazioni assolutamente non al livello della struttura. Per il resto location favolosa e romantica

A very unique place with a very nice SPA. And the restourant with good food

Von aussen ist das Hotel toll, leider Innen nach unserem Geschmack nicht gut renoviert. Das Badezimmer war schmutzig (Spiegelhalter, WC Boden, Wasserhahn, Dusche) und unser Zimmer entsprach gar nicht dem gebuchten, es war eher wie eine "Besenkammer". Auch wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, dass die Restaurant geschlossen sind, da 2 Hochzeiten stattfanden, schade!

Completa delusione

L'hotel non è piaciuto. Belle foto su Internet ... Ma davvero: stanze scomode e dal design «freddo», personale indifferente, stanze mal attrezzate per un hotel a 4 stelle. Le colazioni sono deboli: una scelta molto modesta e prodotti insapore. Completa delusione. Non lo consiglio

Beautiful setting in a lovely Castle with excellent and friendly service

Parking supposedly long way from reception. Shower small and poor quality showerhead. No information at all in room. Wi-fi not allow VPN. No place for pre dinner drinks other than garden near pool where small plastic cups only allowed. Food below average. Loved staff in cafe restaurant downstairs.

Impressive building but less impressive experience

Very impressive building set in perfect country setting nestled on a hilltop village. The experience of the hotel was a little less impressive. Rooms are comfortable with a great Jaccuzzi bath. No languages other than Italian for the TV which is a minor thing but a drag. Room cleaning was spot on and clean. No plugs and no tea/coffee facilities in your room. Shampoo was in those horrid plastic sachets in which you half kill yourself to open...no shower gel!! Views from room...beautiful! Breakfast at the start of the week included eggs, meats, cheeses, cakes, fruit, pastries and yogurt.....by Friday it was meat, fruit, pastries and cake!! So possibly i would have to say Average at best. Swimming pool!!!! This hotel does NOT have a swimming pool!!! There is a tiny leisure pool which may only be used by paying spa customers only. So, if you want a swim, or rather a splash about, for 15 mins on a morning or night it will cost you 25 euros...so i would say this Hotel does does not have a pool facility for its guests! Finally, and I guess this is a matter of personal taste I have to say the hotel is utterly devoid of any atmosphere!! It has musak and the occasional guest but nothing else, it is humourless, and devoid of any human touch and almost like an utopian world where you really don't want to be lol Finally...you are 40 mins to the centre of Turin by car ,

Extremely disappointing

We arrived at the Castello di Montaldo expecting to be greeted by a country oasis. Instead what we encountered was a run down hotel that is not ready to have guests. We had heard that the hotel had been closed for a few years and had recently opened in the past few months. We arrived at the supposed "4 star" hotel, and there was no concierge to help us with our luggage, considering the car park is far away from the entrance and it is an uphill climb with many stairs into the main foyer! The reception desk was attended by very junior staff and were not very professional. As we made our way to our room the hotel foyers had carpets with large stains on them, overall it did not give us a good impression of cleanliness. Once we got into our room, we found it was covered with insects and spider webs, the air conditioning was not working. After staying one night, we came back to our room the next day to find out that the cleaners had not cleaned our room. We rang the front desk and was told that the cleaner had marked the room as being cleaned and we were questioned on the validity of our statement. We took the front desk attendant to our room to show him and he apologised, but as the cleaner is only available in the mornings there was nothing he could do other than to provide us with fresh towels so we could shower. We had booked a 5 night stay as my husband's family live nearby, but we checked out after the second night and asked for a refund.

Location davvero splendida, abbiamo trascorso una sola notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto rimanere di più

Castello d'epoca. Panorama molto bello. Struttura esternare ben tenuta, camere scarse. Troppi lavori in corso di ristrutturazione.

Schoon en prima hotel! Echter wel een karig ontbijt waar nog wel aan gewerkt kan worden.

Location ottima, personale gentile ma purtroppo per la categoria elevata di classificazione sotto alcune dotazioni/servizi carente. La sauna con veduta sulle mura non funzionante, il bagno turco non funzionate, la colonnina di ricarica elettrica non funzionante. troppe lacune per un hotel di elevato standard, comunque da consigliare.

Bellissimo soggiorno in completo relax, pulizia, camera e servizi top!! Solo 2.cose da migliorare: Motor lobby per lasciare le valigie vicino al hotel, altrimenti si deve camminare per lunga strada di pietre che vanno a rovinare pure le ruote e la piscina interna, non si doveva mettere pittura perche si stacca e nel fondo si trova tutti i pezzi pericolosi pure per i bambini oltre a tossici. Comunque ritorneremo quando ci saremmo in zona perche ne valsa la pena!!

Nous avons passé une semaine parfaite. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Sara qui gère les petits déjeuners est exceptionnelle. Merci à tous pour l’accueil, votre disponibilité et votre gentillesse.

Magnifique endroit, le problème c’est le mélange des styles pas top et les équipements sont vieux. La piscine pas du tout 4 étoiles. Le déjeuner pas top non plus.

Endroit idyllique

Un lugar muy bello y un hotel muy cómodo. El único defecto es que es difícil lle R el equipaje por varias escalas sin servicio del hotel

Castello e dintorni stupendi, suite molto ampia, aree benessere molto grandi con molteplici servizi, più fruibile con programmi di trattamenti. mancava clessidra e termometro nella sauna esterna e termometro in quella interna, avrei gradito maggiori indicazioni e avvertenze sull'uso dell'area benessere per chi accede senza programmi di trattamenti. Ricca colazione. Approccio formale e riservato che può apparire distaccato e spersonalizzato. Abbiamo alloggiato più notti infrasettimana godendo della tranquillità, probabilmente nel fine settimana ci sono più presenze anche esterne. Bella esperienza.

Purtroppo questa volta non è andata bene come l'ultima volta. Dato il prezzo abbastanza alto a notte, ci si aspetta un ottima qualità e invece non è stato così. Appena arrivati ci ritroviamo in una camera con tv non funzionante e un fazzoletto utilizzato sul pavimento adiacente al letto, chiediamo lo spostamento di camera e gentilmente ci viene fornito. Piscina riscaldata molto bella peccato per l'ambiente gelido visto che nella sala era presente una finestra rotta e non chiusa ma bensì senza l'anta rotta. Nei servizi inclusa anche sauna che ovviamente invece era scollegata e non funzionante. Colazione un po' alla rinfusa, tanta scelta ma molto poco invitante. Diciamo che per il prezzo pagato ci si aspetta molto di più.

Schöne Location - Service jedoch nicht 4 Sterne

Das Castello liegt wunderschön und die Zimmer sind sehr schön gemacht (modern). Leider liess der Service sehr zu wünschen übrig. In der Enoteca abends sehr lange gewartet bis zu Bestellung, unser Essen wurde xmal durchs Restaurant getragen und wieder nach hinten gebracht, weil sie nicht mehr wussten wer dies bestellt hat. Morgenessen (Rührei) war kalt, der Wärmebehälter war gar nicht angeschlossen, uvm. Das Servicepersonal ungeschult und überfordert. Leider !

Das Hotelhat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen, der Aussenbereich war ungepflegt, Sitzgelegenheiten ohne Sitzgelegenheiten und schmutzig. Die Bar ist im Innenbereich abgewohnt und oftmals geschlossen. Ein Aperitivo wurde angepriesen, aber es gab nur ein paar Chips und Nüsse. Im Restaurant sprach kaum jemand Englisch, der. Service war unaufmerksam und eines 3 Sterne Hotels nicht würdig. die Zimmer waren äußerlich ok, aber Sauberkeit war nur Oberfläche. Staubflusen und den Ecken und die Regalbretter im Ankleidebereich waren nur bis zur Sichthöhe sauber. Definitiv kein 4 Sternehotel, ich kann es in diesem Preissegment nicht weiterempfehlen.

Bonjour -PAS AUCUN SERVICE 24/24 COMME PREVU -BEGNOIRE SALE -RESTO A ETAIS RESERVE LE MATIN POUR LE SOIR, LE -SOIR N4AI PAS ACCEPTE POUR QUE NOUS MANGE -les personnelle n'ai parle pas, ni italienne, ni le français, ni angle... -hammam payent en plus -adresse d'hôtel pas vrais, c'est l'adresse de LA POSTE - acces tres compliqué pendant la nuit. - a ce prix il est necessaire de faire des travaux par tout dans cette hotel, ou ammelioré le personnelle.

Un bellissimo posto, completissimo anche come servizi. C'è un centro benessere molto valido e un ottimo ristorante.
