This hotel is spectacularly beautiful !

We loved our stay here! Such a beautiful setting. We were greeted by the sweetest check in person. She was soooaccomadating and helpful. Finding the place was a bit of a challenge but we made it. We enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Great place to stay. Right downtown a stone throw away from the castle. Joanna was amazing. She walked us around the hotel and gave us the history of building. The breakfast in the morning was the best. Huge selection of food to choose from.

Wonderful quiet historical building overlooking the sea. Very comfortable rooms and terrific breakfast. Staff was so kind and helpful, especially Joanna.... Highly recommend

Positives definitely outweigh small negatives

Great stay more or less, our 3rd time so definitely recommend. Positives: Nice sized updated room with great wood floors, good lighting & storage, extra seating area & desk. Comfortable robes (and little Snickers!) provided, great shower & innovative vanity area. Cable TV had great channels to throw on movie to sleep to. Parking on-site & very close to the room via elevator. Small gym but usable for short time. Fantastic breakfast for such a small hotel. We had a friend join us for a breakfast, the amazing lady at the front wouldn't let me pay for him... how sweet is that !! (maybe I should be quiet about this haha) Negatives: >hard mattress, for the price should be better >fridge was off- understandable, but to turn it on you have to move the desk completely and crawl around to unplug a lamp to plug it in. Kind of ridiculous and an easy fix. >only the restaurant has amazing views of the lagoon/sea, all the rooms have windows that open up to parking for the condos next door. Probably not the hotel developer's fault, the more I have come to understand historic building restoration in Portugal.

Good stay

Welcoming staff, good breakfast and convenient parking. Nice views of the port from the restaurant. Room was comfortable. Only downside, quite a few hairs in the bathroom.

Very good except tue WiFi

An excellent property with only 1 failing. The WiFi doesn’t work in the guest rooms.

Charming setting and building

A charming hotel the restaurant was good and the staff were excellent. my only problem was that the wifi wasn't strong enough to work in my room.

A beautiful place with see view ; huge common places like library restaurant etc. with nice view; The room is a pleasant one and the staff is amazing; unfortunately the rooms have urban view only;

The hotel, room and common area are much better than those in the picture. Very very friendly staff, good breakfast, and a very short walk to town centre.

Clean & fresh but rooms a bit closed in

Very clean, service & breakfast great, feels newly remodeled & fresh. Free underground parking. Primary complaint if anything, is that only the main great room attached to the reception /bar area has the view. The rooms only have little windows that open to the street with bars over them (first floor)- the lack of balconies, views from that fantastic location, or even possibility to stick your head out for fresh air, was surprising. Would probably stay again though.

Very close to port terminal but didn't stay

Booked two nights at short notice but didn't stay due to a problem with my flight. The hotel charged my credit card after I contacted the gold service to cancel, three hours after making the booking. The money taken was not returned. :(

Full of history, Casa do Médico is a must stay in Sines! The staff is incredibly welcoming and going above and beyond at every interaction.

A night at Casa do Medico

Biked from Lisbon to Sines on day 1 of our Portugal Biking trip. After a long day on the road we arrived at Casa do Medico rather tired. We decided to have dinner at the hotel. It was excellent. Our room was very spacious and comfy. The staff was very helpful with information regarding our route out of Sines the next morning. Breakfast was included and delicious before leaving the next day. We arrived at night and departed along a coastal road. The area along the water seemed nice though we didn’t spend time exploring it.

Amazing place to stay and lounge. Food was delicious. Service was awesome. Great view of town and beach at night. But the beaches you'll really want to visit are a short drive away toward Porto Covo.

It was a unique experience to stay at this property. In addition to their charm,the attention to detail by dedicated hospitality people show its difference. Place to stay at this location. I hear they run another property as well in the vicinity that is available in hotels.com, and I am sure it is just as good

Very well-equipped hotel

Perfect location, calm and with lovely details. The only minor issues for me were lack of shutters so the room didn't get very dark, and a lot of noise from the cleaners all morning which the layout

A hidden treasure, sightseeing, surfing and peace

What a great place! Do not miss the huge library of the doctor who bought it from the original family and spend some time wandering around. The concierge is the most amazing person, full of joy and love for life, very helpful and willing to share her love for Sines and Portugal. Make sure you eat at at the Restaurante Cais Da Estação.

Très belle place! Super service et très propre Place vieillot et trop chic. Pas à l’aise de trop bouger de peur de déranger. Le pool est seulement accessible après 22h

Beautiful hotel

A very Nice hotel with spacious and beautiful common areas. Rooms nice but situated away from the sea. Beds ok but too hard. The breakfast was really delicious and excellent. However, the dinner we had the day before was not up to standard.

Fint designat hotell med vacker havsutsikt. Frukosten var god. Rummet bekvämt men möjligen lite hårda sängar.

Roadtrip

Vi genomförde en roadtrip genom sydvästa delarna av Portugal. Vi stannade i Sines. Vår vistelse i hotellet var mycket trevlig. Bra service - en jättegod frukost och fina rum.

En general una estancia muy agradable.

Le service est impeccable. La dame à l’accueil prend bien soin de ses clients. Le petit-déjeuner est top avec beaucoup de choix et de produits frais. Malgré les commodités proposées sur Expédia, il n’y a pas de réfrigérateur et de baignoire dans la chambre.
