Rogelio the man!!

Rogelio is the best! He is unbelievable.. friendly and always smiling. Highly recommend this place.

Does not take credit card. Need to bring a lot of cash for a longer stay.

The neighbourhood was very local. I rarely heard English being spoken due to the location. Rincanada is off the beaten path of Puerto Escondido. The beach is a 7 minute walk. Best Vacay ever!

Good budget hotel

They only take cash for the rooms which wads disappointing. Rooms were clean and nice. No receipt given for cash paid paid but no issues resulted. Overall a good budget hotel.

There were many things wrong with this hotel. First, it doesn't look any like the pictures. The property is old, the rooms are dirty and full of insects (which I know, it's Puerto, but this was too much, there were dead ants inside the fridge), the blankets and towels were dirty full of stains. My bathroom curtain fell down when I was taking a shower and they never fixed it so the bathroom was always wet. They say they have amenities but they only give you two hand soaps. The WC seat was broken, and pieces were flying out every time I sit on it. But the worst I think that it was when I arrived and figured out they don't take cards, so you have to pay with cash. Any part of the reservation process mentions that. So I had the owner over me my entire stay until I found a way to get some cash and pay. I called Expedia to get some help, and every time I called they gave me different information. It was terrible. I do not recommend this place at all.

Had a great stay here. The room was impeccable, cleaned regularly with sheets and towels changed. AC and fan in the bedroom. Wifi worked very well in my room. Really good service and the owners are super nice, friendly and very helpful. Location is perfect in Rinconada next to the Nopal café. Nothing to complain about.

Place was great very close to airport and restaurants. A/c worked fine. My only disappointment was the bed. Even though it was a king size mattress it was hard.

The property itself is above average. Staff did a solid job cleaning the room before our arrival. Conveniently located near dining, shopping, and the beaches. AC worked great. It made me a little nervous that the door handle to the room was loose. It locked, but if you moved it hard enough, it would probably open. My biggest gripe about this place was the check-in process and attendant at check-in. Nobody was there upon our arrival. We waited a few minutes and somebody eventually showed up. She was rude and condescending. It was as if she couldn't be bothered. She didn't want to give us much information, so we had to keep asking her questions, which only made her more annoyed. Eventually, we met Rogelio, who was much warmer and friendlier. Also, please update your info at the front desk. Lots of outdated info, including phone number.

Property was perfectly located near a strip of Stores and restaurants. Neighborhood was very safe and quiet at night.

Perfect location

This is a good value place to stay however note that it is quite possible that the rooms they are offering on Expedia are the ones on the main floor next to the kitchen and dining table. As such, if you are a light sleeper or otherwise sensitive to noise, it can get noisy with people coming and going. Also it is difficult to have any privacy or natural light because if you open the curtains there is the main table and a lot of foot traffic. There are three rooms that have this issue and they are likely to be the ones offered on a discount via Expedia. Unfortunately even if you request a different room, such as the much better upstair rooms on the second floor, that you may arrive to find that they gave it to someone else, even though you had spoken with management and initially they had said you could have an upstairs room. For these reasons I would caution against booking a room via Expedia for more than one night in case you get stuck with a bad room. If there is nothing else available in Rinconada then it isn't a terrible option but you will spend most of your time out of your room and on the roof, like I did.

Close to a great beach and restaurants. The rooftop is a great place to hang out when it’s not hot. There is a kitchen with everything you need. There are tables downstairs to hang around and chat with the other guests. The room is spacious and has a mini fridge.

We had a really nice stay at Carri Surf Studio, walkable distance to Carrizalillo and dining options. The staff is very friendly.

Updated, Clean, Fresh, Great Area, A/C, Cash Only!

Great, laid-back and updated hotel in the Rinconada area near lots of shops and restaurants and beautiful beaches (Carazalillo especially). Mostly youngish crowd with a shared kitchen and great rooftop terrace with seating and hammocks. The air-conditioning works amazingly and hot/cold water both work very well. Just to note, it is cash only so if you're staying for a while you'll have to have a fair amount of pesos ready (although they let me pay in US dollars, too).

Excelente hotel, si es que buscas utilizarlo solo como checkpoint para dormir. La atención excelente y muy tranquilo.

Toda la noche sonó una música fuerte de algún lugar cercano la cual se dejo de escuchar a las 7 de la mañana. Junto a mi ventana estaban tres climas que se escuchaban hasta adentro, en el baño no había mosquitero y los de las ventanas estaban despegados (amanecí con muchos piquetes de insectos); la reservación no la respetaron porque dijeron que apareció hasta ese día en la mañana y me dieron otro alojamiento; no tiene vista al mar, el hotel está atrás de una construcción enorme en obra negra.

Estoy agradecida con la hospitalidad.

Excelente ubicación, a 5 minutos caminando de Playa Carrizalillo. Habitaciones limpias, bien equipadas y muy cómodas. Personal muy amable.

Experiencia grata

Las habitaciones contaron con lo necesario para nuestra estancia, fueron muy atentos en todo lo que llegáramos a necesitar y sus instalaciones siempre estaban limpias, el host también estaba al pendiente de todo y en cualquier momento. También me encantó que se encuentra en un lugar rodeado de diferentes restaurantes y actividades por realizar, ubicado muy cerca de la playa también.

El encargado es muy amable, inclusive nos ofreció un aventón, el cuarto no tiene lujos, estaría excelente pusieran shampoo, y un timbre en el exterior, pues a las 1030pm no hay quien te atienda o conteste el teléfono

La estancia fue buena el inconveniente fue que habíamos reservado dos cuartos cuando llegamos dos dijeron que no teníamos reservación a pesar de que la página de hoteles marcaba que si, querían darnos el cuarto por una sola noche pero estaríamos tres noches entonces no tendríamos donde quedarnos, traíamos una mascota por lo que ese lugar nos había agrado, y tuvimos que explicarle al muchacho que no en cualquier lugar nos aceptarían que mínimo dos diera una recámara por las tres noches y fue lo único que pudimos conseguir
