Overall good value for money with friendly staff
We stayed at the Canyon Boutique Hotel for five days during our visit in Amman. The Hotel was very modern with friendly staff, all trough some staff had difficulty understanding and speaking English. Rooms were open and very nice, all though they were not automatically cleaned (you have to tell the staff, if you want your room cleaned). The hotel served a decent breakfast and had a bar/restaurant at the top floor with quite good food at reasonable prices. There are not a lot of other restaurants in the nearby area, but taxis come by regularly. The taxi drivers do however have some trouble understanding the location of the hotel (even though it is right next to Jordan Hospital), but that is mainly due to bad English-capabilities of local cab drivers. Overall a good experience, the staff is ready to assist, you can easily get a taxi to other parts of Amman and the price is very good (we arrived one day late due to bad weather at our country of origin, and the hotel didn't charge us for the extra night, even though they could easily had wished to do so).
A total disappointment...Never again!
When i read "boutique" hotel, i expected cleanliness, friendly staff, class and comfort. All i received was the exact opposite. I stayed for three nights, the room was NEVER cleaned. Despite the policy of not having guests up in the room, i couldn't sleep at night due to the midnight-visiting-ladies; there was a drinking party next to my room. The allegedly functioning Wi-Fi was a rumor. The staff was not professional and lacked expertise in dealing with clients. Another point was the wakeup call: they woke me one hour after the specified time. The location is not convenient at all, and there was a lot of chaos from the street due to road maintenance. Overall, i would not recommend or go through that experience again.
Canyon Boutique Hotel, Amman
Nice hotel, if hard to find. It is not actually on Adeeb Wahbeh St, but just off it on a side street opposite the hospital. Pros - nice design, great rooftop bar, friendly staff, free wi-fi throughout. Cons - boutique design with budget execution, basic breakfast, no gym, not the most exciting neighbourhood. All in all, perfectly acceptable hotel. I would stay there again.
Probably good for business....
Not a bad, modern hotel but not exactly a great location for downown Amman, Ideal for driving but the breakfast has a lot to be desired. Romms are nice and modern though.

Taxi
Do not ask the staff to find you a taxi, because we found out that the taxi and hotel staff charged the customer much more for getting a taxi. The taxi driver and hotel staff knew that we wanted to take a taxi and the taxi driver charged us triple of what regal taxi would cost. For example, a taxi will cost around 5 dinars or less to go anywhere in Jordan, but the taxi that the hotel got for us charged us 20 dinars! To go to a restaurant that is only 10 mints away from the hotel. Just be careful and don’t ask or let the hotel staff to get you a taxi. Thanks Zizi
