The one thing that I always wish for is more decent options for meals... I personally really dislike using food delivery options ~ it's really too bad that there are not decent options on this entire block of hotels.

Friendly service, clean, lots of included amenities.

The suites were large with separate living and sleeping areas. The king-size bed and pillows were the best we have experienced. The kitchen area was well equipped and a number of items were avsilable to borrow, like a toaster oven. The staff were plesent and always available. The parking was underground and appreciated in early December. Walmart and Tim Hortons were immediately behind the hotel.

We loved it, it was comfortable, and quiet.. except for parking.

We had a very spacious room which would be excellent for an extended stay. The room had a full size fridge, dishwasher, microwave and all the dishes, pots and pans and cutlery you would need. The desk area is huge making it very easy to keep everything organized and accessible. There is an oversized clothes closet and washroom with tub and shower. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Edmonton.

Wonderful stay!

Wonderful experience aside from a few minor inconveniences. The on-site pantry had very little groceries available for purchase aside from snacks. I had to leave the hotel to get food but had planned to utilize the pantry option. The guest reception shared some info about ordering room service from the rest but I was unable to find any details on the website or in our room.

For it being busy, the room was very quiet

This was just what we wanted--easy to get to, and easy to get from the hotel to the places we wanted to go. The area is super convenient for groceries and restaurants, but is not a particularly nice place to walk. I love the locker for borrowing all kinds of stuff you might want for your stay (waffle maker! games! toaster oven!). My daughter felt the sofa wasn't super comfortable and she heard a bit of noise from the hallway. The bedroom was great.

HOCKEY PARENTS/KIDS RANGATANGS

It must have been a kids hockey tournament, as kids were running around every where, parents drinking in the hallways as their kids are running around unsupervised. Pool was destroyed. Just an annoying stay not on the hotel as it’s their guest but on the hotel. Clean up your policies…

I booked here a few times my room did not seem that soundproofed this time and i had loud neighbors this time. Apart from that everything was perfect.very nice staff and the girl that checked me in was so beautiful.

This hotel met our needs for an extended stay as we settled our daughter into dorms at UofA. Unfortunately the homeless population around the hotel itself was a deterrent for going for runs in the neighborhood, but that’s no reflection on the hotel itself… simply a “nice to know”. We appreciated the free underground and secure parking. Overall a good hotel I wouldn’t hesitate recommending. We needed a kitchen and this was all that was available (hotel-wise) in the city at the time of booking.

The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly from checkin to checkout. The room and underground parkade were great. Coffee bar was a wonderful bonus. A complementary breakfast would have made this stay perfect.

Staff were helpful and kind when we all became sick and needed more than usual housekeeping services. Rooms were a good size and extras (free laundry, serve-yourself amenities) were very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Kids friendly, pet friendly. Close to west Edmonton mall suites are big for family, have all kitchen, living room and working station. Big bright room and pretty clean. Staff are friendly specifically greetings staffs. A comfy trip to Edmonton? Highly recommended to stay here

This hotel was great and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Edmonton. We spent one week there and the staff were great, the beds very comfortable. We had a small incident the 1st night which was handled promptly. Thank you Vivek. The only issue i have is lack of parking for disabled. We will definitely be back.

Nice hotel room. Love having the kitchenette. The coffee machine near the lobby is awesome. The staff is amazing, always there when you need them. We stayed 6 years ago when the hotel was quite new. Cleaning in the corners in the bathroom seems to be an issue now. You can see very clearly that they should be scrubbed better. Otherwise everything else was great.

I paid in advance and had to check out early. The hotel is refusing to refund me for the 6 nights I didn’t stay and Expedia is incapable of recovering my money from the hotel also. I’ve attempted to contact Expedia and the Candlewood repeatedly and have gotten no call back from the hotel and Expedia just keeps telling me there is nothing they can do.

Large room, easy and quick check in. Free Laundry and 24 hour access to snacks. Pool was great - shared with Holiday Inn and can be busy. Bathroom to change into at pool with towels and shower available.

Being on the bottom floor. Prefer top floor.

The cleanest place I’ve ever stayed

This property was clean, front desk staff were amazing, check in was fast. I appreciated the pre arrival email offering an upgrade, late check out, etc. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the pillows were excellent. I think 2 bottles of water in the fridge would be nice and a smoking area. I smoke and often hide out in the back but that's not the safest. Many other hotels in the area offer a covered smoking area. I liked the honor system pantry and the outside BBQ's is nice too. Would stay again.

It was a good stay. We had one small problem with the room and the staff fixed that issue ASAP. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable.

Conveniently close to West Edmonton Mall. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was spacious and well appointed

I usually stay here when I have to stay in West Edmonton. But for the first time, I was disappointed this time. The bed sheets were not changed. I found a few hairs and eyelashes, and dirty spots. I took pictures and asked the front desk to change the whole bed sheets. And I showed him, but he never apologized and just said he would change it. It was not a happy stay.

The front desk was amazing, super friendly. The rooms was beautiful and very clean. Large room as well. The parking was great! The only problem was not having any PAID FOR breakfast but that was on me as I didn’t check Expedia. I loved it but miss the free breakfast and was advised I could go to the other hotel for a deal but we ended up just leaving and going elsewhere. Other then that misstep from myself, loved the hotel

Everything about the stay was great

The hotel was very family friendly. It was easy to eat breakfast in our suite. The pool was perfect for children to play and easy for parents to enjoy the hot tub while keeping an eye on their kids.

Best property we have stayed at ever in Edmonton. We have stayed at numerous properties over the years in Edmonton and this is by far the best! Will definitely be making this our go to stay going forward. Free laundry, a games room, clean and underground parking are all amazing plus's!

GREAT hotel!

This hotel rocks!! The staff is the best. The free coffee machine in the cupboard is WONDERFUL. The rooms are well equipped. The BED IS SO COMFORTABLE. Like unbelievably comfortable. Loved staying here.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mario . He was wonderful . Very polite and checked us in quickly . He then checked in later to see if we had everything we needed . Thank you Mario ! Love your customer service we will definitely stay again .

The stay was fine. Pillows were quite comfy, bed is a little hard for my liking. My room was right outside the elevator so I was able to hear ppls conversations. The room was not sound proof. Check in and check out was super easy.

1st time staying at Candlewood Suites West Edmonton and it was fantastic. The employees were professional and the hotel was clean. Location is very convenient. Small shops and restaurants within walking distance. This is my new hotel I will be staying when traveling to Edmonton.

The property is well equipped, everything you need from dishes to toiletries is available. I only had one problem the bathroom shower drain was not clean, upon checkout I brought it to the attention of the front desk and showed her pictures.

Mohammed really makes me feel welcome every time I stay there. He is an exceptional employee who goes out of his way to ensure that my stay is comfortable.

Staff were great. Really clean place with underground parking. I booked this place by mistake thinking it was like holiday in. No breakfast option. Really tucked away in a one way street. Really odd to get to this place from a back alley.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel! It was easy to get to from out of town. The area around the hotel was not that exciting but did have essentials - and pretty close to west ed

Love staying at this hotel on my trips, has full kitchen and room set up is great for a couple of days stay-- to eat and cook if you want. Always super clean and great location..oh also has indoor parking for the winter!!!

Bathroom sink didn't drain properly, I did point it out to the staff, when we checked out. For myself the bed was not very comfortable and it was almost beside the wall, and there was a heater there, so you had to sidle to get into that side of the bed. Usually rooms are set up with adequate width on both sides of the bed. I did forget to mention this when we checked out. The kitchenette was very nice, great pool and hottub too!

A few little hiccups but nice overall

Had charges at the store that were put under my room and they didn’t seem to happy to fix them even though the last name wasn’t the same. They did eventually take them off but after the rooms not being available until quite late it sullied the otherwise great experience a little. Rooms are large and clean and really stocked. Beds are comfy, clean and just the right softness. Overall a nice place to stay and will be back.

Mohammad was probably the friendliest person I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with at a hotel. Room was large, clean and comfortable, and the area was great. Only a few minutes to the mall, tons of dinning options available close to the hotel. Only thing that I didn't like was that there is no restaurant in the hotel - would have been nice to get a hot meal in the hotel after a long day of travel, but everything else was great! Next time I have to stay in Edmonton I will be stating here!

I like the color scheme.

The problem with my room was the walls seemed to be paper thin. There were elephants above me and a dog beside me. I wouldn’t stay her again.
